On November 12, 2025, I wanted to book 2 rooms at the Aquarius Casino Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada. I typed in Aquarius on the internet, and what I thought was the Aquarius as it showed a picture of the Aquarius Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada with a reservation phone number of 877.504.2631 but this ended up to be reservationdesk.com.
They never advised that they were not the hotel but were very anxious to book a reservation for the Aquarius for me. I explained I wanted to book 3 nights, 1 room for 3 people and asked for 2 Queens and a rollaway. I was told they could accommodate 1 King and 1 Queen for $76.18 plus $25.88 in property fees.
I then changed and asked for 2 rooms for the 3 people as I had a coupon for 2 nights free for each room. Reservations were made #853077925 and #853079335 for one night each and I was told the two nights free would be handled when I got to the hotel.
I received my email confirmations totaling $102.06 for each room with 3 people in each room and noticed it only had one night booked for each room. At this point I realized I was not dealing with the Aquarius and called the very next day to cancel the bookings.
I was told all fees were nonrefundable, which included the $17.99 reservationdesk.com fees. I believe this is fraudulent. I can understand the fees for processing the booking ($17.99) would not be refundable but how can Resevationdesk.com keep the room ($53.39), tax ($4.80) and resort property fees ($25.88) because the Aquarius Hotel is not receiving any fees.
I am out $204.12 for two rooms that I no longer have available to me.
This is wrong in so many ways.

Country of complaint: United States

Claimed loss: I am out $204.12 and received nothing.

Desired outcome: Please refund my 2 hotel fees, tax and resort property fees totaling $168.14. Reservationdesk.com can keep their $35.98 service fees. I would appreciate a response regarding my refund.
