In the Autumn of 2009 I bought a paddling pool from Redsave.com. It cost about £40. I thought that Redsave.com was just a simple "online" supplier of goods. They confirmed my order by e-mail and there was nothing on that confirmation which aroused my suspicions of a scam happening. I know find out, that by ordering from them I had joined a subscription discount house at a cost of £19.95 per month taken from my credit card. This has been going on for seven months now. I've been in touch withthem by e-mail but am told quite catogorically that I was advised at the time of purchase that I was committing myself to £19.95 "subscription per month. They say that their confirmation clearly states this fact and that I could have opted to cancel this so called "subscription within thirty days. As I had not chosen to do so the "subscription" continues to be taken from my account. There is nothing whatsoever on the confirmation giving this type of information. Needless to say I should have checked my credit card statement more thoroughly over the past months and queried what this £19.95 was for but I didn't and that's my fault. I had no idea that I was entering into any such "subscription" arrangement with Redsave .com or any one else for that matter. I have had to cancel my current credit card to avoid any more payments being taken by REDSAVE PASS . COM. even though I have requested that the "subscription" be terminated. So my paddling pool has so far cost me £220. How do I stop this happening and where do I go from here?
Thank you for any advice that you can give me.

After a small purchase in Nov last year, I cancelled via post. Only just noticed they have been taking payments off my credit card since Feb. Logged on today and cancelled online and flagged their transaction up as fraudulent with credit card company. Would love to know if anyone has had any luck with getting their money back from these scam artists. jenny_crees@hotmail.com

I also seem to have fallen into the same trap as everyone else. I bought 3 items totalling £5.94. Just seen they've been charging me £19.95 for the past 18 months! Total £365.04. I'm absolutely gutted. Again like everyone else just thought it was part of my 'normal' outgoings on my statement. I have today cancelled my 'subscription' using their online system. Luckily I knew my login details and was able to find previous order number on the account order history. Hope this works but I have an email confirmation of cancellation. Has anyone had any luck getting their money back?

I purchased a £3-99 Jewellery cleaner last august and only realised 2 months ago that £19-95 was being taken from my credit card. when I contacted my bank, they told me I would have to contact the company involved to cancel it. As I am sure many people have found out, the telephone number on statements are a digit short and trying to contact them on-line is hopeless. I am at a loss as to what action to take and would be grateful for any advice.

Bought 1.99 touch up paint. Did not check credit card statements properly due to being away and confusing it with legitimate purchases. Resulting in nine monthly payments(Sept 11 - May12) and late payment charge on my credit card. Total cost was £200 plus. Sickening con. Told nothing can be done by my credit card company and Trading Standards. Small print allegedly covers them. I have written to my MP who is investigating and raising it with Normal Lamb, Minister responsible for consumer affairs. robert__sleigh@hotmail.com .

Same thing has just happened to me. Purchased a £1.99 touch up paint for my car and due to the underhanded way this company enters you into a REDSAVEPASS discount club it has now cost me £161.99! If I don't laugh I would cry.
I written to them to cancel, but my bank has said it may take 30 days for them to be able to step in on my behalf, as this payment is all legal and within the terms of that company. I just have to hope they cancel it asap.
Quite scary that is is obviously allowed to go on.
Moral of the story is, always check your statements.

Talk to your credit card company - they have a duty to refund fraudulently obtained monies.

I have just realised I have been paying them subscription for a year without me knowing. And now I can't even unsubscribe because I do not have the order number for the item I purchase from them from a year ago. And it looks like this has been going on for years. I am going to take legal action too. Herman Wong wjoop98@yahoo.com
