PayAnywhere (Payanywhere, LLC) review: Fraud, freezing and theft of your funds

I've experienced egregious fraud and unlawful withholding of funds by PayAnywhere. Out of $2,484.96 earned, they only paid me $2,004.65, stealing $480.31 without explanation.

Full Description of Problem:

My experience with PayAnywhere has been an absolute nightmare. It began with receiving equipment in torn packaging, indicating carelessness from the start. Attempts to correct my profile data were impossible: they demanded a FAX request to a department with no direct contact, and support staff endlessly bounced me around, refusing to help.

Despite my stated income of $10,000-$15,000 per month, PayAnywhere unilaterally imposed a transaction processing limit of just $2,500 on me.

After initial transactions, they repeatedly froze funds in my account for "verification." Each time, unfreezing required colossal effort and patience. I was sent in circles from department to department, where no one was authorized to resolve the issue. Even when told funds were "unfrozen," they remained inaccessible. I had to endure this hellish cycle repeatedly to access my own money. Ultimately, the limit was only raised to $6,000, which is still below my initial needs.

The culmination was direct theft: out of my $2,484.96 earned before hitting the limit, they only paid me $2,004.65. Thus, PayAnywhere shamelessly stole $480.31! Their statement explained this amount with vague "additional adjustments" and "resolved transactions," which is a complete lie, as my clients confirmed successful debits. The remaining missing funds simply vanished from reports.

All my attempts to get clarification from PayAnywhere have been ignored. They completely refuse to communicate and provide no information about my missing money.

This isn't just poor service; it's deliberate fraud and theft. I strongly advise against using PayAnywhere. We are already filing complaints with the CFPB and FTC, and are prepared to hire a lawyer for a class-action lawsuit to seek justice. Stay away from this company
