We booked two times with Transat /Nolitours and both times we were very disappointed we their service.Their advertising is misleading and when you get to the resort you are stuck .Their rep will not help and if you complain to Head office they treat you like a nut case.Their costumer service is rude and unhelpful. Do not book with them.

I just returned from Dominican Republic where I spent six nights having booked with Air Transat/Nolitours. I had used Air Transat 12 years ago and multiple times prior to that. Wow I could not believe how awful they were this time. I will talk about the hotel on Trip Advisor but I will share my feelings about the air service. It was disgusting, the plane departed hours late to and from Dominican. The reason return flight was late was explained that it was due to fuel being put in the wrong plane! They rushed us onboard an hour prior to documented boarding time and we sat in that stuffy plane with snarly flight attendants for well over an hour And a half. The service was horrible, all they offered was a mini snack and a beverage. If you wanted an alcoholic drink or a narly sandwich you had to pay inflated prices with a credit card only. I could not believe it was the same company I had been happy with in the past. There was no and I mean no leg room in my seat and I felt like I was in a sardine can. I will never recommend Air Transat or Nolitours to anyone and I will never use your service again. The day I use my credit card for a gross pizza slice or sandwich is the day I question my judgement altogether. The only ok part was the Nolitours Rep at my hotel who helped me get reservations to the restaurants which were otherwise unobtainable. I had been given no information regarding upgrade packages for flight and at the hotel. If I had known I would have paid extra. It is pretty clear to me now that this is the only way to even receive average service. You should be ashamed of how you treat people who pay for your service Air Transat, disgraceful..

I am sending this email to inform you of how bad this vacation has been. We paid 180 cdn for a snorkelling excursion which we only received 10 mins of snorkelling. They did not inform us when we left the boat to go to Catalina island that we needed to bring our snorkelling gear with us. We spent the remainder of the day sitting on the beach with others who were not told. The gentleman who sold us the vacation also told us that we would receive a lobster dinner plus a photo for free. However when we were there they wanted an additional $40.00 US for the lobster and an additional $40.00 US for the photo. So needless to say we got taken. We had purchased $100.00 CDN worth of items purchased for family taken from our room. I have never wanted to come home so bad. We also told that if we sat thought this International vacation club we get a $50.00 US voucher which we received. Francesco told us that after we would receive a hat and t-shirt which later he said he never said. So we let that go and decided to go and is use the spa. So we told that with $50.00 gift card we need to add 350 pesos to receive half hour each. Again we were lied to they wanted an additional $40.00 US. I have never had such a bad experience coming to this island. I will never book with Nolitours and I will letting my friends know how poorly we were treated.

On January 21 2011, I booked and paid for a flight for my family of three to Europe. I paid extra for Airtransat because it was a direct flight. I paid extra for their optionplus so I could get seat selction and heavier luggage. Here we are two weeks before going and I just received a email that my seat selection had been changed and no other info. Further checking on my part found that the flight number was also changed with a different departure time and it's also a stopover flight, and they removed my optionplus package in addition to my seat selection being changed.
Apparently a contract with Airtransat is only binding on the customers part, they can tear up the whole agreement anytime after you pay. It's too late for me to change my other travel arrangements that aligned with this flight, so I'll just have to suck it up.
ADVISE - do not pay up for any perceived options if using Transat. Be sure to verify all info they send you because they will change your seat but not tell you your flight number and flight times also changed. They are NOT TRUSTWORTHY. THEY BREAK CONTRACTS after you pay.

Transat tours sent us to the wrong destination! We spend four days of our 7 day vacation trying to contact transat to send us to the right place. we were taken to the right place on day FOUR of our 7 day vacation! this is just ridiculous! and when we contacted them after the vacation, Brigitte Ades •Supervisor Customer Service offered us a whopping $100 to make up for our ruined vacation. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I booked a trip through Nolitours and leaving on April the 6 2010 flying direct to Costa Rica, my travel agent called today and said that we now have a overnight lay over in Vancouver. 3 weeks before we leave, when i asked if we could get our money refunded, because my husband cannot get the 2 extra days off work, and they told me no! I am wondering how I can get my money refunded? Anyone have any answers? Do I need to hire a lawyer?
