A year ago I ordered a subscription for several magazines which were offered by this company on behalf of Delta Airlines. The offer was to use remaining frequent flier miles in my Delta acct for a full one year subscription of a lengthy list of magazines. Each magazine offered had a "price" which was stated in frequent flier miles and each subscription was for a one year period. During the past year we have regularly received the magazines we ordered. As the subscription period of one year has approached we have received renewal offers/requests on most if not all of the magazines. We never responded to these requests because we had no desire or plan to renew any of the magazines.
This week my wife received a credit card bill which included the cost of renewal of two of the magazines she had received during the past year. She contacted Mags for mile AKA...SYNSAPSE GROUP INC and was advised that her subscriptions were automatically renewed due to her /our failure to notify them of our desirce to cancel our subscription. She advised them to cancel all subscriptions immediately and told them she would be disputing the billings via our credit card company.
I have notified MAGSFOR MILES via email today to cancel any pending new or renewal subscriptions of all magazines and I will be following that email with a certified letter to the same effect to the company's HQ.
BEWARE OF MAGSFORMILES AND SYNAPSE GROUP INC!I

We also signed up for the 'free' magazines. We got several charges for the magazines this month after receiving the magazines for a long time. We have tried this program through Delta and also through Books A Million.. Both of them have a relationship with Synapse but we did not know it. Be careful. The 'free' magazines are pushed aggressively at Books A Million in connection with a store discount card. Delta sends mail to your street address. The magazine offer is a scam and you will probably get unexpected charges eventually, automatically deducted from your bank using your debit card.
Same experience, carefully used miles in June 2014 and I was charged $126 for three subscriptions in June 2015. I had to use my credit card in June 2014 to make a small charge - that was the opening. Their website, which is BBB and COMODO "blessed" is dicey with regard to communication and finding your way to communicate with them. I eventually got it. They are trying to hold on to those subscriptions to the best of their ability and the site is intentionally tough to navigate which further motivates me to air this out for others. I contacted them today for a full refund. We will see.
Does anyone know the website for United Max for miles to cancel?
