Gallo's Health Mart Pharmacy review: Medication Compounding 1

My wife was diagnosed with Lupus and her doctor prescribed a medication that needed to be compounded. So, we looked for pharmacies and found out that our local pharmacy Gallo's Health Mart Pharmacy did that, they also had a huge sign in the front stating that. We thought that was great, since the Pharmacy already accepts our insurance. When my wife took her prescription to the pharmacy, the Pharmacist/Owner/Manager, told her sorry, but we will not take your insurance. You need to pay for the medication up front, and then you will have to go and deal with the Insurance. So, my wife was confused and asked why? You always accepted our Insurance. The Pharmacist/Owner/Manager stated that it does not work for him. The Insurance does not pay him enough for his time and Medication. So, if you want us to do it, you will need to pay up front! I think it is a shame to take advantage of people when their life depends on it! Since then, I have taken my place to another place. One tries to help out their fellow neighbor and the sick, but in this case this pharmacy was concerned about money and not the health and wellbeing of the customer! I do not recommend this place to anyone, since they are money hungry!
