BAD DR. Kenneth Brown! I had “lipo” done on my abdomen & upper back. I wish I could place my before & after photos on this site. If I could no one would be able to see the difference. I feel the dr. & his staff took complete advantage of me. Don't be fooled by the folksy charm of the office or the staff. They are actually very shrewd, evidenced by the fact that they put nothing in writing other than some figures on the back of a card. Thank God my husband accompanied me on several occasions before the operation. He’s witness to the statement made by the dr’s “knowledgeable” assistant/manager/wife; like -”if the results are not as expected a correction would be made at no additional charge.” The story changed after 6 weeks when the doctor (disappointed with the results as well) made no offer to correct his bad surgery. Between leaving stitches in for 6 weeks, giving me the incorrect girdle, using fuzzy math, the dr. admitting his surgery was disappointing, I haven’t been offered any remedy. Beware!

There are too many greedy doctors offering services that they have little or no skills and experiences in doing. Most don't even have the proper training. Many doctors' attends weekend courses or weekday evening courses that are a week or few days in length, then they offer their services which is just taught in classroom settings and unsuspected patients are being used by them to practice until they can get it right. That is why there are many botched surgeries out there. It is hard to sue for malpractice for elective surgery even if you are severely deformed. Our system only want to look at cases that cause severe injury that may interfere with our daily lives, but not damages that cause comestic reasons. Our system is not protecting us and we need to make these doctors' more accountable and not given them such power to used our bodies and/or faces and ruined people's life for good. The law need to stop any doctors from doing comestic plastic surgeries and force them to go through years of training under very senior surgeons and maybe less botched surgery will occur. Plastic surgeons goes through additonal 7 years of training! Why can other doctors' just stay in their field of practice and not jumping into a field that is not theirs? Of course there are plastic surgeons that are bad too, but weeding out doctors' that aren't certified in the field of plastic surgery will make less unhappy people in United States. The bottom line is there are way too many doctors already and too many want the fast money of plastic surgeries without thinking how botched work can affect victims.

I know this post is very old but I found this post just by looking for Dr. Brown's number for a family member. If I found it, someone else could and get the wrong impression. I'm very sorry this woman had an unpleasant experience and I don't know her or know if everyone who gets plastic surgery understands that it's not a "quick fix" or a replacement for healthy eating habits and physical activity. Also, it could take up to 6 months to one year to actually see final results of a surgery. I've had 3 surgeries, all performed by Dr. Brown and I wouldn't go to anyone else. His office is wonderful, they are very knowledgable, as the post said and they are also very fair. I had a breast lift with implants and had amazing results. That was 6 years ago and even through a pregnancy and also a sixty pound weight gain and loss, they still look fantastic. The day before I had the surgery, I decided I wanted lipo on my stomach. The nurse/manager/wife advised me against it, saying it would make my loose skin so much worse and I would be unhappy. I insisted and asked Dr. Brown, who swiftly told me, "I'm sorry, but I will not liposuction that area. It wouldn't be right for me to take your money, knowing how it will turn out". Now, does that sound like shrewd and conniving? The reason they write it on a card means nothing. What could it mean? It's on their card and any surgery they ever quoted me on that business card would be good for 6 months, unless of course, the anesthesia and hospital charges went up. However, the doctor's surgery fee would not go up. Each time, they honored that price on the business card. Once, I didn't have the surgery until a year after it was quoted and even though his fee went up and it had been over 6 months, they honored the quoted fee. I had a full tummy tuck with liposuction in the areas around the abdomen and hip area that he deemed necessary and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. His wife also told me if there was an issue with it or if I was unhappy, they would find a solution. They did, the left side, by my hip, I had a very minor dog ear and he did fix it, for no charge, as promised. Then I had liposuction-inner thigh and back turned out wonderful. I've sent 5 family members and 3 friends to Dr. Brown since my 1st surgery, August 2005 and I have never been treated more respectfully and more fairly by any other Dr.'s office. I'm saving all of my vacation this year and taking it all at once, rhinoplasty(to fix a deviated septum, shave down that awful bump I have on my nose and just make it look a little better). I've been so afraid that he was going to retire before my last procedure, that Im getting it a year sooner than planned. I just will not go anywhere else. BTW, I should know his office number by heart but like most of us, these days, I rely on my contact list in my phone. One thing I do have to warn anyone reading this, BEWARE! Copy your contact list to your computer or save it on a micro. They're only $3 on amazon.com, well worth the money when the consequence of not doing just that is such a pain in the rear. Or just don't leave your phone next to a tropical drink by the pool, hehe. But, DO go see Dr. Kenneth Brown, an intelligent, honest, and talented surgeon who told me himself, he doesn't do it for the money. He still does surgery because he loves to help people and he loves to see how happy they are when they come back in for their 4 or 5 checkups(at least, for major surgery, he's very thorough). He cares about people. Best plastic surgeon ever!

I am currently going to see Dr. Kenneth Brown again after he did my original implants in 1999. I regret using another surgeon when I had moved out of state in 2006. Dr. Brown as long as he is still in practice is the only one I will go to from now on and I will travel to him he did such a phenomenal job on my first augmentation that after having 4 kids and we all know what happens. My breasts looked beautiful and healed to the point that no scar was visible. Also he listens to you where I have noticed others try to persuade you to do what they want to do. Not what you want. I highly recommend Dr. Kenneth Brown!

Also he is not Greedy! He is more reasonable than all of the doctors I checked with before I realized he was still practicing.
