Digital Delivered review: Beware of this fraudulent company! 2

Digital Delivered in New York is also associated with Red Tag Savings (and I received an invoice from Trusted Dealer), however, Digital Delivered is the one that billed my Visa Card.

The facts:

I ordered a Fuji Finepix E550 from Red Tag Savings assuming it was new for Christmas 2005. When I received it the box was not a Fuji box but a nondescript box with the camera and some accessories inside. It was obviously a refurbished camera and it had problems. I tried several times to obtain a replacement and at first they promised to send me a new camera. Even after the sale they bugged me to upgrade making outlandish statements saying for example, "if you don't buy the extra lenses your pictures will come out grayish". In my opinion they are a completely disreputable company. But that is not the end of the story. After many telephone calls and letters I was able to reverse the charge on my credit card with the help of Wachovia card services a few months ago. Yesterday the sneaks billed my credit card again for the same amount. Everyone should be advised to beware of this fraudulent company.

On the phone I was told I needed a second battery because the "start up" battery is only good for a few shots, and wasn't meant to power the camera for more than a short setup period. He said this is the way Canon was now delivering all there new digital cameras.

I didn't want the battery, but he wouldn't sell me the camera unless I purchased the $50 spare battery and charger, and a larger memory card 512MB for $69.

The camera, card, spare battery and charger arrived quickly with no receipt in the box.

I called Digital Delivered for weeks talking to "supervisors" and anyone who would listen.

After a month of promises I finally got a receipt with NO SERIAL NUMBERS at all on it.

I was tired of talking to these guys (some very polite, some very rude) and gave up.

I've had the camera for close to a year now. The second battery they sold me has not been chargeable for a long time, and when it worked right the charge never lasted as long as the The "start up" battery did. The original battery still works fine, and is good for 200+ shots between charges.

We ordered 16 new magellan gps units for christmas gifts online via trusteddealer.com the order was confirmed without a problem. Later that day I received a call from a personclaiming to be the president of the company digital delivered (one of several names this company operates under-- red tag savings is another DBA). He advised me that they would not ship my order unless I purchase an additional extended warrantee from them for each unit at an excessively high price. i advised that the terms and conditions at the time of purchase didn't include this as a requirement and that this was a bait and switch. His tactics became very heavy handed, and his story continued to change. I felt as if I was being extorted to purchase more in order to receive the goods I had paid for. This "president" made some pretty inaccurate claims about the size of his business and his reputation. In looking him up, I discovered that he has a terrible track record with the Better Business Bureau, and a "unsatisfactory rating". Also, I discovered this person was not the President or owner that is registered with these agencies as he claimed. Also in looking at his business it is a small office upstairs from an vacant storefront. There are many reasons to be warry of this business based on my dealings. I would caution anyone to check carefully before purchasing. This had all the hallmarks of a deceptive and unethical business.

I contacted a reporter to look into what I suspected to be illegal, and following the reporters inquiries, Mr. Marcus called me and attempted to "make this go away" and tried to honor the original sale (saying he was going to do this as a "favor" to me). I told him to cancel the purchase, and he agreed. He has not returned any of the emails or calls to confirm that I have not been charged and the sale is cancelled.
