CDL Consultants review: Legal representation

I am submitting this complaint regarding my experience with CDL Consultants, as I believe the company engaged in unfair and deceptive business practices.

On Friday, May 15, 2026, at approximately 4:31 p.m. Central Time, I paid $3,000 to CDL Consultants after speaking with their representative, John. During that conversation, I was advised that my legal matter would be handled for a total cost of $5,000.

However, on Monday, May 18, 2026, at approximately 1:18 p.m., John contacted me and informed me that the attorneys would not take my case for the agreed-upon amount and that the total cost had increased to $7,000.

Because the company changed the terms of the agreement after accepting my payment, I immediately informed John that I would not proceed and requested a full refund.

Instead of issuing a full refund, CDL Consultants refunded only $2,000 and retained $1,000. Their refund manager, Gaby Lopez, stated that the company charged me for time spent attempting to locate an attorney over the weekend.

I dispute that charge because no attorney was provided, no legal representation was established, no legal advice was rendered, and no completed service or work product was delivered. The company was unable or unwilling to honor the original quoted price, and I canceled immediately after being informed of the increase.

Additionally, it took more than 30 days for the company to issue even the partial refund.

I have documentation supporting my complaint, including payment records, email correspondence, and the timeline of events.

I respectfully request that CDL Consultants refund the remaining $1,000 and that this complaint be made part of the company's record for future consumers.
