U-Haul International

I rented a truck from - southkeys tires and brakes, 2638 mac street ottawa ontario k1v8v1-which had blown exhaust manifold and had truck towed back to uhaul. I spent hours being transfered around uhaul explaining situation and telling them I almost went to hospital for carbon monoxide poisoning. Each rep I spoke to said I shouldn't be charged for this truck. Two days later I recieved a phone call from where I rented the truck asking when I was returning truck. I explained to this woman the situation and she also said I shouldn't be charged.20 minutes later I recieve and email bill from uhaul charging me 2 days rental ($95.54+$19.77+$115.31) for a total of $234.48. They reversed the $115.31. I had to made numourous phone calls to get someone to look into this and was directed to a justin abraham. Justin said he would look into it and get the refunds taken care of. Next thing I get is an email from uhaul with a $19.77 refund, then I recieved another email right after from justin stating he had reversed the charges and was charging a one day total charge of $42.01. When I didn't see a refund days later for the $95.54 I emailed justin and he emailed an apology for it not appearing on my credit card yet and would forward it to the credit dept. Next I get an email from justin for a total showing $137.55 so I went back to him and asked to be in contact with someone above him to get my refund. I then recieved an email from a tamrat meherete saying she had reviewed my bill and it was correct. I asked her to give me a corporate contact number and this women never replied to me again. I sent another email to her asking the same and have still not been contacted by anyone from uhaul. I have an emeil from justin clearly staing I would only be charged a one day total of $42.01 and just want the $95.54 refunded. This truck should never have been rented as it was blowing exhaust fumes through the heating vents, I almost went to hospital for carbon monoxide poisoning and had this truck towed back. I was told numerous times speaking with uhaul reps that I shouldn't be charged anything for this my having to go through this entire situation, until southkeys tires and brakes called me asking where their truck was then this entire situation went south for me. I believe tamrat meherete is unprofessional by not at the very least giving me contact info to take this further. I have been renting from uhaul for decades and have never had a problem until now. I have saved all emails between justin and tamrat and would be happy to forward them to further this complaint if it will help.
