Bellach's Furniture Roseville CA: Rip off Business On 01/09/2006 I purchase two leather sofas, paid $6,070.00. they were delivered 4/6/2006. One was defective.

I called Aisah Olsen in customer service. She stated she would send out inspector, 2 weeks later inspector showed up agreed sofa was defective and filled out form to have sent in for repair. 2 weeks later they picked up the sofa. 5 weeks later they returned the sofa in worse condition than it was prior to repair. when they returned the sofa they forgot to include a controller unit for the recliner.

They promised to overnight the controller. 5 days later and one phone call they sent the controller.

When I advised them of the problem with the sofa, they stated that they did the best they could and I would have to live with it. I then attempted to get hold of the manager Michael. I was told he was not in, I left a message to call, was told he would be in in the afternoon, I left another message. 2 days later I received a call from Michael. When I spoke with "district manager" Michael, I requested a new replacement sofa. He said they never, never, never replace sofa's. Michael was to return my call, in one week and has not. The customer is expected to just keep sending the sofa back until the factory gets it right. Of course that means you are without a sofa for 4-6 weeks at a time. And may have to return numerous times until they get it right. So much for lemon law in furniture.

In between I checked out with State of Corporations California to find out that Jerome Bellach is the agent of service and president. Which from what I understand in ca is illegal. And he works out of his home: 66815 Redwood drive, Cotati Ca 94931 and his e-mail is [protected]@yahoo.com. I have send e-mails so the "president" with no response.

Aisah Olsen in customer service refuses to return my calls. Bambi in customer service cannot help me.

I inquired with BBB and they have numerous complaints. I am interested in filing a class action suit anyone else interested that have had poor resolve with Bellach's furniture? Also I am going to report to several local television stations to get publicity of how poor Bellach's customer service is. Following is report on Sacramento BBB website for. You will note Bellach's is not a member and they have an unsatisfactory report, many issues were never resolved or answered by Bellach's! Only 4 out of 12 resolved.

I purchased 2 leather sofas and a leather chair from Bellach's and was told it would take 3 months at the latest for delivery. I received the sofa's and chair in October, 6 months later. I never received a phone call letting me know the status of the delivery. I began making numerous phone calls after the 3 months expected delivery, but never received a satisfactory explanation. I demanded to speak to upper management. I spoke to the general manager of Bellach's and he assured me it would be in no later than the beginning of Sept., which did not make me happy, so he stated he would speak to the Bellach's (the owners) and see what he could do for me to "fix the problem." After never hearing back from him, I had to call multiple times without a call back. When I finally spoke to him, he said he would take care of the delivery charge, which was $265.00. I told him I was not happy with the situation, this is not how you run a business and you need to return customer's phone calls. I threatened to go to 7 on your side, BBB, and complaint sites on the web. He responded snuggly and said he is not afraid of 7 on your side. In addition, he only paid $80.00 of the delivery. When I received the delivery I noticed my chair was damaged. To make the long story short, my chair is damaged and they said it is a natural part of the leather. Please do not shop at Bellach's. They are a lying and deceitful bunch of crooks, from customer service to upper management. I should have gone with Macy's which was my first choice. Macy's provides better customer service and will do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. I have contacted 7 on your side and the BBB.

Unbelievable. I honestly can't belive that Michael is trying to apologize. I was lied to time and time again by Michael and the sales guys at his store in Rocklin. We will never see our money again, so his BS about trying to make it right is yet another LIE. I can't believe this has happened and that we have essentially been robbed. I wish we could pursue criminal charges. Ugh!!

Article in the Marin News paper. It looks like they will not be emerging from their bankruptcy. It's too bad that after being in business for this long, they are now going to be shut down. I believe that the crappy economy has a lot to do with it, but, I also believe some poor business practices expedited the demise. We ordered our Natuzzi in Rocklin in August, paid $1500 down, and never received the furniture. Was it ever even ordered from the factory - we think not.
I think will work out for us in the end, with a disputed credit card charge being our likely avenue for avoiding the loss.

We ordered a Natuzzi sofa on 11/12/07. We were told it would be 16 weeks until delivery.
We called Ray, our sales person, in March, April and May. We were told it was delayed the first two times and the third time we asked about their solvency and were told that the bankruptcy was over and our sofa would ship as soon as a judge released it.
We them told Ray that we had seen several unhappy Bellach's customers represented on our local news problem solver show, Call Curtis. He said our sofa was ordered before they had problems and it would arrive soon.
I e-mailed Natuzzi and received a very factual and helpful response today. Our sofa was not ordered. I have no idea what happened to our $850 deposit. I am working with a Natuzzi rep to get to a solvent furniture store and order the sofa we chose. I will work on getting a refund for our deposit-Natuzzi cannot do that for me since they never received the order or the money.
I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau and I am hoping others who have been through similar stress and money loss with Bellach's will also fill out an online complaint so that they have a sense of the size of the problem.

    The employees were liars.

They lied to my face when striking the deal.

They lied to my face when drafting the sales order.

They lied in conveying the initial timing and why it could be stretched from 3 weeks to ship docking, to up to 5 weeks if customs or port delays due to bay bridge oil spill back in Oct (ultimately leading to many many months).

They lied about shipment at sea at time of sale.

They lied about ship in dock.

They lied about just clearing customs.

They lied about ship actual three weeks out after this point.

They lied about getting back to me a half a dozen to a dozen times.

Because everyone uses this site and others like it to tell their story, does that mean that I cannot tell ours.
For you to say that Bellachs has not placed any customer’s orders is conjecture on your part. Bellachs is delivering orders every day to customers all over the bay area. It has been my experience that vendors do not give out information to customers regarding their orders. I find it hard to believe that you have information that even I cannot get without the proper documentation. Even if that were the case your constant barrage on the salespeople calling them ### and con artists in itself is a lie as they have little or nothing to do with an order once it leaves the store.
Jim I don’t believe apologies fall on deaf ears, as a matter of fact I think it is one of the most important things Bellach’s can do at this point. How many companies do you see in financial trouble offering up any explanation or apologies on any medium?

After reading your blogs I could only come to the logical conclusion that you are skeptical. If I should have referred to you in another term maybe you could enlighten me as to what it might be.

I think we may be on the same page as far as sympathies go. The biggest difference is that we are trying to do everything we can to make the customers and the vendors whole again. I have to question the motive of anyone who is trying to stop us from going forward in business, if that’s what it take so as not to leave anyone holding the bag.

    Michael,

This is a complaints board and everyone except you have used it for that. The apologies of a company that takes an order and never places it, whilst telling the customer it has and then filing chapter 11, falls on deaf ears. We are all just telling our story here and the modus operandi from what I've experienced, is neglectful customer service and deception. I've contacted the manufacturer direct and they are not lying, so who else is there left. Calling me skeptical because the owner does not see the mismanagement of his company is nonsense. My sympathies go out to all of the creditors that get left holding the bag when a company can't take care of it's business.

Why would salespeople lie to customers? Do you think they make up the information they get? Even if you do believe that to what purpose does it serve? Bellachs salespeople like most furniture salespeople do not get paid until the furniture is in your house.
Furthermore it is not unusual to over quote on time for delivery. If it comes in sooner than the customer is happy this is actually a great practice, if sales people under quote the time customers accuse them of lying. Salespeople are not made aware of problems with factories or financial affairs within Bellachs. Do not accuse your salesperson of lying to you they are innocent employees. No company informs their employees of pending financial problems. Bellachs over the years has weathered many a down turn in the economy and come through unscathed. Why would its wonderful employees think this time any different?
Jim it is not unusual for manufactures to run out of dye lots of leather. If a salesperson told you that, they got that information from our office. Alternatively they may have surmised it was a dye lot problem due to experience in this industry.
Bellachs has delivered thousands of customer’s orders over the years without expecting customers to wait patiently without updates. That is how you are assured that your hard earned dollars will get what you expect. We all make our purchases based on the best information at the time. You had no reason to believe that your order would not be timely as did the hundreds of other customers that Bellach’s has. No one at Bellach’s set out to swindle you out of any money. Especially employees they would not even get any of it until you received your merchandise.
How can you be naive enough to think that if you are questioning the integrity of Bellach’s that you are not questioning the integrity of Jerome Bellach? We all work together as a team; lately it has been around the clock to try to solve this problem.
Why would customers lie or exaggerate? I believe in some of your earlier blogs you referred to us as rat ###, ###, and conniving goons. I read a blog that accused Bellach’s of being a well organized scam operation exaggerations if I have ever heard any. Even a skeptic like you would have to admit that after being in business since 1939 that seems highly unlikely. Additionally I have spoken with most of these customers personally. I know what I said to them. I see the lies that are posted. To answer your question why would customers lie? I think that when blogs like this get started people feed off each other like a shark feeding frenzy, rather than do what they can to try to help they do what they can to hurt. And Jim your right the specialty furniture business is a very tough business; it is not made any easier when customers do deliberate damage to a company that is struggling. Don’t be so sure that any of those other companies that you mentioned are not having their own financial problems. We are all doing the best we can with difficult circumstances and difficult times.
Bellach’s and all of its employees are sincerely apologetic to you Jim and all customers that have been inconvenienced by this terrible thing. We are striving on a daily basis to make it right. I can only hope that we will emerge as a stronger more reliable company in the future.

I find it hard to believe that the employees were not lying to customers. In my case, I was told that the manufacturer was out of the dye lot. After receiving the Chapter 11 notice, I called the manufacturer and they had no knowledge of my order and cut Bellach's off from placing any more orders prior to my order date. Another lie I was told, was that my order would take up to four months to deliver, when on the website of the manufacturer it says one month. The manufacturer confirmed that their orders do not take that long to fill, as well as other dealers that I have spoken to. There is zero customer service going on in this company. All they do is take your money and expect you to patiently wait for months on end without any updates. When you spend a couple thousand dollars of your hard earned money, you need some assurance that your order has been placed and when you will get it. Good people can run mismanaged companies, as no one is questioning the integrity of Mr. Bellach. There are no lies exaggerations coming from myself or most likely others. Why would we lie? The business of selling furniture is tough and with all the crap coming from China, it will get tougher, so how will businesses survive? Maintaining trust and communication in regards to managing a customers order, is how you stay in business.

Did you ever ask yourself, why did I purchase my furniture at Bellachs leather? Could it be because of the price, or the selection, or the reputation of the business or maybe a combination of all of those things.

Bellachs has brought something unique to the bay area for decades. Jerome Bellach is the man who started what the leather furniture industry is all about. Do you think for one minute that Bellachs has been in business for all these years by being scam artists? If so you are not giving the thousands of satisfied Bellachs customers enough credit.

Have you taken even a minute to check the report on the number of furniture stores in this country that are going out of business? If you have maybe you will understand why Bellachs like many other stores is having some difficulty.

Do you know that Bellachs salespeople do not make a dime on your furniture until it gets delivered to your house and paid for? They have been working for little or nothing for months now. If your employer came to you and said “ OK we are going to file for bankruptcy in 8 months I want you to sell as much stuff as you can, take people’s money, lie to them and do it all for free because they are not going to get heir furniture". Would you do it, of course not? Then why do you think a Bellachs salesperson would do that. I know these people and I can assure you they would not.

I have been working for this company for many years. I have seen it do extraordinary things to give back to the community. I have seen Mr. Bellach feed the homeless in S.F... I have seen Bellachs donate to charitable organizations in Concord, Santa Clara, San Francisco, Rocklin and even areas where they have no store. I have seen employees help out on bay clean ups river clean ups and a number of other things with money and time donations.

I have also been overwhelmed by customers that have called or come by to express their grief at this unfortunate turn of events for Bellachs. I have had customers bring salespeople lunch, water, I have customers call and ask if there is anything they can do to help. I have even had several customers who have called and offered to send in the balance of their C.O.D. if it would help.

I have had a chance to read these blogs about Bellachs on the internet. Most have exaggerations in them and some even have out and out lies. One customer writes that I sat her down and told her that she would not get her money back or her furniture. Nothing could be further from the truth in fact I told her the same thing I have told anyone who has asked. Our intention is for everyone to be made whole. We are not interested in hurting anyone. You all remind me of a pack of wild dogs trying to bring down a wounded animal.

Another blog wonders why I haven’t quit this job. The answer is very simple. I believe in Bellachs, I believe in the people that work for the company, and I truly believe that given a chance every customer will get their money back or their furniture.
If you must join in the gang that is only going to hurt all of those that have the faith to trust us, please try to be accurate and truthful in your blogs.

I sincerely believe even you will be made whole.
    Sincerely Michael Reynolds

If you purchased American Leather from those conniving rat ### at Bellach's, the dealer to go to get what you were originally interested in purchasing is Bedroom & Moore in S.F. The sales rep Eric [protected] has been accommodating, honest and is the referral dealer from A L. Imagine that, an honest helpful furniture salesman that isn't trying to rip you off for the sake of their scammer business.

Update: I disputed the charges via my Credit Card company on tuesday 3/11. To my surprise, the CC company has credited back the $2K I had deposited as a downpayment @ Bellach's the following day 3/12, even before they received all my paperwork (I decided to followup with the CC company with a formal letter on 3/11, the same day I spoke with them on the phone, but they can't possibly have received it and processed it yet!). What I suspect they did is "trust" me as a customer (I am a long time customer with perfect history with them - and this is my first dispute) and refunded me immediately, then kicked off their internal process to recover the money from Bellach's. I am impressed!

I don't know what kind of "power" the CC company has to recover the money. Maybe they have insurance and it's all taken care of, or they have processes unknown to me to tap into $$ somehow.
I hope they won't change their mind if their investigation /diligence ends up with a Ch 11 dead end, and they decide to "reverse the reversal of charges". I'm not sure how this process works, and whether I can take the refunded money and use it to buy my stuff elsewhere...

I hope judges won't let Bellach's dishonest staff get away with this scam.

    2 more thoughts:

    1) We should form a picket line for at least one day that includes signs about that goon Chuck who is so rude!

    2) We should rent trucks and just take the floor models that are owed to us - pay the balances (or not) and be done with it.

    There is power in numbers.

TO ALL: HEAR YEE! HEAR YEE!

I met the famous Michael privately after Bellachs closed in Santa Clara. He sat me down and said this:

You are NOT going to get your money back.
You are NOT going to get your furniture.
    THEY HAVE FILED CHAPTER 11.

    I AM OUT $1700+.

Bad publicity does no good for a company that is not in business.

YOUR BEST BET IS TO PICK OUT A FLOOR MODEL BEFORE ALL OF THOSE ARE GONE TOO.

IT IS ALL YOU CAN DO.

    ACT NOW!!!

I just filed a complaint to the BBB. If you'd like to do it as well, it's really a simple process via the internet at http://sanjose.bbb.org (for Santa Clara) - takes 5 minutes max. Next, I'd like to file a fraud complaint to the DA. Does anyone have a sample letter I could use? Thanks!

This particular case may need a trustee appointed and I'm all for it. I think a trustee would be in our best interest.

Unlike chapter 7, when a business files for chapter 11, a trustee will usually not be appointed and the debtor will remain a "debtor in possession" (DIP) with the same management in place unless the bankruptcy court orders a trustee appointed for "cause" (including fraud, dishonesty, incompetence or gross mismanagement of the affairs of the debtor by its current management), or if the court determines that appointment of a trustee is in the best interest of creditors.

I was also scammed by these ###. I purchased an ottoman from that goon Chuck in San Jose and they marked on the receipt "Rush Order". When I called them on the status, Janice in customer service told me they were out of that dye lot and that I would have to wait. Now I get the Chapter 11 notice. Great, I was a consumer and now I am some kind of creditor victim that will get the shaft. Not without a fight. I called American Leather and they have no record of my order, so I believe that constitutes fraud. Customer service also said that they may have been cut off from ordering more than a month ago. How can a business promise you merchandise that they cannot deliver? I am still waiting on confirmation from AL, but I will be proceeding with charges as soon as I find out. Since we are unsecured creditors, I'm not sure what rights we have, but there is strength in numbers. I would love to throw a monkey wrench in their plan to re-structure their shady company.

Same story here (jerking you around, etc...). Went there today to see if I could resolve this amicably: I did not disclose that I had a deposit with them (it was a different salesman, so he did not recognize me) and pretended I was a customer who was looking for a deal on their "showroom furniture" that was on sale. I figured it would not give me away and lose my buying power, and would apply my deposit towards the purchase.

At any rate, I settled on a model there, and the salesman quoted me around $4650. I said OK (they still have a $2K deposit from me from an order put in on 11/11/07 that I was informed yesterday by their HQs was not even sent to the manufacturer since 11/11 last year!) as I was ready to let this thing go and salvage what I could.

By the time he starts filling up the invoice, he suddenly "realizes" he made a "mistake" on his quote and the type of leather is "different" (of course, a couple of grands more).
Then he says it also has a media feature (some kind of bass boost), which I said was not listed on the tag or visible anywhere (the other model next to it had it listed on the tag, but not this one). He insisted it was a tag mistake, so I asked him to demo the alleged feature to me, which he didn't want to do (he claimed he was very busy). That was another couple of grands.

All of this time, he had no clue I knew what was going on with their business. So I asked innocent questions such as "do you have other colors? can I order different parts?", to which he answered "oh yes definitely, we can order anything you want and you'll have it delivered no problem." even though he knew plain and simple that this would not happen given their financial state.

It seems it's a well organized scam business, and I hope they get personally liable for the fraud, hopefully going to jail if applicable. I also hope the judge won't let them go bankrupt and restart their shady business somewhere else.

I'm probably out $2K for good at this point...

I also received the bankruptcy notice.

I was told lies as to initial delivery back when I bought in Oct.

I was told lies as to status of shipment, lies that became contradictory.

I believe we were lied to when putting down deposts, that orders were not made right away.

I plan to contact the Santa Clara police and inquire as to a fraud investigation (location of the branch where I bought).

It is one thing to be left holding the bag in a bankruptcy... it is another to be lied to in the process .... and yet another if they funneled our money to other suppliers, or their own salaries, or the owners dividends, or what have you.

I suggest everyone do the same with their local police, and with the police in the jurisdiction of their head office.

That would probably be more productive than a class action suit, when there may be no net assets available anyway. And if the police were to get traction there is nothing to say a suit couldn't follow that.

I also suggest we all make the effort to post any new information to this site.

Any suggestions how to get the word to other screwed over customers? Perhaps passing this link on to the bankruptcy trustees or the credit committee?

I am very mad. The same thing is happening to me. We bought our sofa end of October 2007 at the Stevens Creek Store. We paid the deposit, and CHUCK, NELSON (salesman) told us that he was going to expedite the order, so it would take about 2 months to get our sofa or maximum 3 to 4 months.
By mid of February 2008, instead of calling the store, I decided to stop by to check my order status. Chuck told me he was going to check for me and call me in two days. Since he did not call, I started going to the store almost every weekend to check my order status and to put some pressure on them. Chuck would always tell us that he was going to send a fax to the manufacturing company and call me back. HE NEVER CALLED.
Then, by Chuck told me to call MIKE REYNOLDS, but I could never talk with him. I don't even know if this person really exists.
Today, I got a letter saying that the store filled for Chapter 11. I called the main store and found that that my order was not even sent to the manufacture. They just kept my money all of this time. THIS STORE STOLE MY MONEY.

According to the notice we received today, Bellach's filed Bankruptcy last Thursday, March 5, 2008. We have been calling Bellach's repeatedly over the past six months to get a delivery date on a special order item that we had prepaid in September, 2007. At the time, Josh wanted us to pay the full amount, but we agreed to pay 50% and the balance when it arrived.

Back in September, Josh told us that it would take 3-4 months to arrive, as the item was coming from Italy. He also mentioned that his father was the "owner" of the store, so his information was going to be reliable.

We called in November, and were told that it would be arriving in late December or the 1st week of January at latest.

We called again the first week of January, and we were told that it was on a container in Oakland and would arrive within two weeks.

We called mid-January, and were told that it was now on a container in Los Angeles, but the delivery truck would take a couple of weeks to get it up here. We offered to pick it up in Los Angeles to save time, since we would be in that area. The salesperson, Josh was adamant that we were not allowed to pick up directly from the dock.

After several more phone calls, we visited the store in person on February 15, 2008 to talk with Josh in hopes of getting a straight answer and a firm delivery date. He looked very nervous and kept stating that the item was on its way, and that "this was the nature of the furniture business". He suggested we call back in 2-3 weeks, as the item would definitely be here by then. Looking back on that conversation, it is now very clear that he was very much aware of the pending bankruptcy and was stalling for time. (I had mentioned to Josh that I was considering reversing the charges on my credit card through my bank).

We are very disappointed in the way we were treated by the salesperson at Bellach's in Rocklin. We are considering taking legal action against this salesperson personally. If anyone else had had a similar experience, please feel free to contact me.

My story is very similar to all those listed before mine. Ordered a sofa in July 2007 and finally canceled Feb 5, 2008. I've been trying to get my refund for over a month and just kept getting the run around (oh the stories and the lack of customer service were simply amazing). I was informed of Bellach's Chapter 11 this morning. I'm so angry that ###-sucking weasels like those who work at Bellach's are allowed to do business, let alone restructure for "increased revenue". I want in on a class action lawsuit. These guys deserve a good kick in the ###.

Just received a letter from the Better Business Bureau saying they cannot pursue my complaint due to the company's bankruptcy. Tehy included a letter from Bellach's from Cynthia Furr (the lady I've left vm's with at corporate) which says "Bwellach's Leather for Living has filed Chapter 11 in an effort to reorganize the business and increase revenue. Please advise any customer who contacts you that they will receive notification from the bankruptcy court." It looks like I was one of 4 on this letter from Bellach's. Anyone know how bankruptcy court will proceed.

    I'm furious.

I would agree that it seems the BB complaint has done nothing. I've left two msgs with the person at corporate Bellachs and have gotten no returned phone call. Call 3 told me to file with Consumer Affairs (thanks! I was hoping they would do a story). Class action sounds good... I just don't want to shell out any more money. I was also considering small claims suit... Keep me posted or feel free to get in touch w/ me.

(here is my most recent story with them) I called back to talk to Josh the sales person to cancel the order and get this, he totally lied to me on the phone as to who he was. SHOCKER, right? I could recognize his voice and when I spoke to him in the am, he said Josh was not in. When I called back and he was on the other line, he lied again. Finally after I said I would hold for the manager he came back on and asked me who I was then told me he was Randy (or something)... he puts the phone down, comes back on and says... well, this is Josh, sorry, I've just been getting obscene phone calls and had to make sure who it was. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Same story different tune. It appears that Bellach's is not going to return our money. How do these pepole stay in business. Went out to see him this weekend and it appears that they intend to do nothing. It also appears that the bad publicity does no good. Class action suit sounds good.

I kept calling the famous Michael held on the phone for him until he was ready. He has given me options! Can you believe it? I have been so nice to him through this whole thing. After all, it is not his fault I gave these crooks my money. He says I can:
    1) get a full refund (without restocking fee).
    2) wait longer and he has no idea when the furniture is coming (I am sure it was never ordered!) and he'll give me a "deep" discount.
    3) Take the floor model and he'll give me a "deep" discount.

    Will keep you posted...

Yep! I am experiencing the exact same situation here as my of the postings: ordered a Palliser sectional and waiting on six months now for my delivery. I'm calling Visa today to file a dispute. I already filed a complaint with the BBB, but have had no response. I'm so disappointed.

The update is that I did get a call back... and was informed my furniture is in a container due to port in a couple weeks.

OOPS... they forgot that it had already just hit customs last phone call three weeks ago.

I have a similar tale. I'm waiting for a call back (which I'm sure won't come) on a piece that was supposed to have hit customs weeks ago and been on the way to my place in days.

Until I see if it is finally clarified, I will hold off on being too specific. But I will return and update.

I'm sure their scam is that they are broke and using our money to finance themselves, waiting months to even place orders, trying to keep ahead of the bill collectors by using our money to pay rent, salaries, etc.

One could argue that it does take time to order, ship, clear customs, and give them the benefit of the doubt, but their dishonesty and lack of professionalism eliminates any such consideration.

The saga continues... Never heard back from the infamous Michael - its been over a week and I have called at least 4 times. Just figured out my furniture is also from Palliser. I called Palliser today and asked what the lead times is - 8 weeks is what I was quoted. So, why has it been six months with no furniture? I think Bellachs is taking our money and not ordering the furniture. What else can they be doing? I just want my money back now. Will keep you posted on this nightmare...

Wow, I really wish I would have done my research before setting foot in the Rocklin store. The famous Michael was working today (Tuesday 2-12) and he refused to cancel my order and issue a refund. Said the sales person had to do it. And he didn't have much to say when I told him the sales person, Josh, told me to talk to him. We ordered on 9-11-07 and have heard the same excuses as above. I've received horrible customer service and have never been given an estimated delivery date. Palliser is the brand of our furniture. I'm furious. I've filed a complaint with BBB, contacted KCRA Call 3 and am about to file a law suit to get my deposit back. Has anyone out there received their deposit back after canceling their order? Or even been successful in officially canceling their order.
    Ugh!

I have the same problem and story like anyone here. I ordered a sectional couch at their Concord Store last 9/07 and it has not arrived until now. In December, I was told that my coach is in the next shipment that is going to arrive before the end of December. I wish i had read this site before buying something from them. Called the store several times to find out the status of the couch but no one seems to know. I spoke with one of the salesperson and I was informed that they were having a problem with their vendor, palliser. Spoke with the manager, Michael Reynolds, but still no results, they just tell you they'll call you back but they never call you back . I was told that they don't have a cancellation policy which makes me very mad. They don't know when the furniture is going to arrive and If they cannot deliver something enthing that they promised, then i should be able to cancel my order they should return the deposit. At this point, i don't know what to do. I just want my deposit back.
