Affirm.ca review: Loans and refunds

In August 2023 I purchased a freeze dryer from a company in BC Canada, I chose Affirm as the payment method. By December of 2023 I had paid off Affirm $7922.24 plus $611.88 interest but still had not received my freeze dryer. After filing a police report and a report with Consumer protection BC, Affirm received a full refund of $7922.24 on Feb.1 2024 from the BC company for the undelivered item. Affirm began refunding me in payments however after 4 payments totalling $6083.60 Affirm stopped paying. There is still an outstanding balance of $1838.64. When I call to inquire why, I get told it will be escalated to the back office and someone will get back to me in 3-5 business days. No one ever gets back to me. I call and ask to speak with someone in the back office where my case has been escalated to, but they don't do that I was told. So I'm screwed I have no way to speak to anyone other than the call center who repeatedly parrots it's being escalated. My Affirm account shows they haven't paid me back my down payment money. This whole situation has been a nightmare. Save your money and go elsewhere for your financial needs.
