Wells Fargo Removed from my joint account shared with my husband for two years under false pretenses

Hello my name is Lisa Lee and I recently was went to the bank to state I would allow my husband Michael C Lee remove me from the account due to his excuse as to his company told him he would need to be the sole proprietor only of the bank account or he could not get 401k. So of course I believed him not knowing what was going on at the time due to him being my husband. But I noticed the day before which was November 7th he withdrew $600 from the atm and only left like $60-$90 in there which of course was strange to me. The following day is when he called me on his way home from work that he needed to remove me off the account due to the above reason stated. I had absolutely no idea that when we would leave and return home I was told to pack up and leave he wanted to separate. So here I am having Direct Deposits put it this account and can not access none of my funds I am entitled to due to not being on the account. I also was told he should have had to close the account out entirely and reopen a new one. I am furious so now I have opened an individual account with no money at all until another two weeks. I would like to know if I transfer any funds from that account to my new one if I will be able to as to he was able to keep my entire paycheck plus more? The account we shared was [protected] and my new account is [protected]. I am going to speak with my attorney if I can not get this resolved due to the fact I am entitled to the money that was mine and also th proof I have with him withdrawing $600 out the day before and then the day he lies and takes me up there to remove myself and I get threw out he goes and deposits it back in knowing I can no longer access the account. Please advise as to how I can get the amount I am owed that was still remaining in the account before him removing me which would have been around %650.

I would like to report this as almost fraud honestly but I know I went in person and signed off on the removal but again under false pretenses thinking he was going to deposit the money in my new account as he stated.

Desired outcome: I would like to receive the amount that was mine in the account at the time of him falsely removing me which is around $650

Wells Fargo Please credit me the $10,500

This is Nicholas R. Koriakin who has a Brokerage account and checking account with Wells Fargo. Please credit me the $10,500 that was ILLEGALLY taken from my account on 6/14/22, supposedly by Bank of America. I called you on 8/17/22 telling you that I confirmed with Bank of America that I have no account with them and they never received $10,500. Contrary to your letter dated July 14, 2022, there was NO SECURE ONLINE BANKING SESSION by me or anyone else in the amount of $10,500. You said you’d get back to me but you NEVER did. Please credit me my $10,500 IMMEDIATELY.

BTW, you have had adequate time to credit me my $10,500, so PLEASE get it done NOW.

Desired outcome: Please credit me the $10,500

Wells Fargo Brokerage account/service

My father passed away. He had several accounts with Wells Fargo which listed my mother as beneficiary, except for one brokerage account. There is a living trust in effect which appoints my mother to assume ownership of all assets including bank accounts. Wells Fargo has given her the run around for months and I say this truthfully as this matter has yet to be resolved. She has spent hours/days/months speaking with many different individuals, she has completed and provided all kinds of paperwork, unauthorized accounts were opened in her name, and despite all of this, Wells Fargo continues to refuse to grant her access to the brokerage account that she is entitled to. I called Wells Fargo myself and the lady on the Estate processing team immediately asked me what my relationship was to my father, which was completely inappropriate. Her tone was aggressive and she provided terrible customer service. She asked for the basis of my call, so I described the suffering Wells Fargo has put my mom through, which I feel is important to understand the gravity of this situation. I remained very calm the entire conversation, yet she clung onto her words “tongue lashing” and told me she wasn’t going to help. She did state that Wells Fargo has no documentation on how they handle accounts after someone passes because they have a “live number” and real people to assist. Which seems like a huge liability since there is no actual process they follow. She also said that Wells Fargo is working on improving because essentially they are behind the times. I really wish I would have got her name before she rudely hung up on me. It appears that there are some very shady and corrupt happenings within this bank. Reading about all of the lawsuits against Wells Fargo, it sounds like this issue is one of many. At this point, because they refuse to properly handle this situation, they have left no other option than to take this to matter to court. I hope detailing our experience saves others from putting their money in this bank.

Desired outcome: For Wells Fargo to act responsibly and because all requested documentation was provided, to give my mother access to my father’s account that she is entitled to.

Wells Fargo I bought a service from leaf filter that was partially borrowed from wells fargo

That was in September; Today is 11/3/22; Today I received a bill from Wells Fargo saying I had to pay now double what I was suppose to pay plus a late fee because I did not pay the bill last month; I called Wells Farge and spent at least 60 minutes trying to get through; the automated attendant wanted a card number which I did not have; I eventually spoke to: Annie, who sent me to billing, where they wanted the card number first as well; there I spoke to Deangelo who was very impatient with me; did not want to hear what I had to say and when I asked to speak to a supervisor he hung up on me; then I spoke to Bernadette and later Velma both of whom sent me to different departments; Finally I asked to speak with a supervisor and spoke to Ebony (esculation dept); she was lovely and seemed to understand the problem. She said that I needed to speak to the retail services dept but she did not help with the transfer or talk to the person I was going to speak with. Then I spoke to Deangelo (see above); then I spoke to Jay who said I needed to call the "loss miitigation dept" at [protected]; Then I spoke to Melissa who did spend time with me and understood what I was saying but said he could not do anything about it. I asked to speak to a supervisor, because I know from working in a large corporation for many years that the people on top are often able to make decisions that the line people cannot; he went to ask his supervisor and came back with " nothing I can do"; I said that I could not pay double the agreed upon monthly installment. MY husband and I are both retired and on a liimted income. I agreed , going forward today to pay the monthly amount agreed upon. I was again told no; So I told Melissa that I would have to defalt on the loan, which seems rediculous as I am a reliable person and pay my debts consistently and on time. This is how it was left which is a big pain for all conncerned.

Desired outcome: I want to start paying my loan to Wells Fargo today by paying the amount that was agreed upon in my signed agreement with Leaf Filter

Wells Fargo Reactivation of checking account

I have a checking account with Wells Fargo and good times with them since 2013. Having relocated to Finland for studies, I am 'out of sight, out of mind,' and discovered I can't reactivate the said account through the mobile app. I need to call Wells Fargo but there is no way to do this from Finland.

Could Wells Fargo make it simple by providing a 'reactivate' service through the mobile app itself? This is an entreaty, not a complaint!

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Wells Fargo.

Desired outcome: Reactivation of checking account.

Wells Fargo Terrorizes customer of 15 years

I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for almost 15 years with checking and savings accounts, mortgages, LOC and Money Markets. I have a personal checking account, an MMA, personal savings, and two business checking accounts. Total funds are over $92,000.

My accounts were seized on September 20th after a Wells Fargo banker and branch manager in Fort Pierce, FL decided I was engaging in fraudulent activity. I sent a wire on 9/16 and misspelled the name, so it was returned. I went back on 9/20 to send the funds to a different recipient working with the company I was investing with. The banker told me the routing number did not work, so I called the CEO of the company and got account information for another person on the project.

I know the CEO of the company and I offered to invest in the project he and a group are doing in Europe. I was informed by the bank manager and banker that the wire was my responsibility and not covered for loss, and I agreed to that verbally 4 times. I said I would sign a document agreeing to that, since I know who I was sending the money to.

At this point, the banker and manager went in the back office and came out after about 15-20 minutes. They informed me the routing number actually did work for the second recipient, but that the third recipient is a dead person. The third recipient was on the phone with the CEO to provide the account information and was very much alive. They told me they suspect me of fraudulent activity such as money laundering and would not accept that the funds in my account came from a sale of property, even though I deposited the check at their branch.

By the time I got home, all five of my accounts were frozen. I could not pay my staff or vendors, nor pay my mortgage and bills.

My accounts that were frozen on 9/20 were supposed to close on 10/4. I was notified late on 9/30 that closure was delayed to 10/18. Late on 10/14 I received notice that the closure was delayed to 11/1. I did not get an email on 10/28, but got it late on 10/31 that the closure on all accounts is delayed again from 11/1 until 11/15.

All five accounts are being held hostage, with notification specifying "We are waiting for a bank to request a return of deposit to this account". There is NO deposit to return, the last deposit on 9/13 was a check of proceeds from the sale of one of my properties. The sale of the property and parties involved can be confirmed online in five minutes.

A Suspicious Activity Report has also been filed on me. I cannot open new accounts, I cannot pay some of my bills, and this is a nightmare. There just cannot be a legal reason for Wells Fargo to continue to hold all of my money and destroy my credit.

I had to borrow $15,000 and drain all my other savings to keep my company going, pay my staff and pay my bills. Wells Fargo is holding hostage over $92,000 of my operating and personal capital. No-one will discuss anything with me or tell me why or what is happening... or when it will end. I am over 60 years old, and this is crippling my business and my life. I have never participated in fraudulent activity; I am a small business owner for 38 years and invest in real estate on the side.

Desired outcome: Close me accounts immediately, send all checks in one envelope, remove Suspicious Activity Report.

Wells Fargo Adjusted check

The check made out to the ministry was deposited in my personal account on October 7 th 2022, on the advice of a professional. Due to inactivity the account for the ministry was closed. The adjustment was made and the check was supposed to be sent by mail to the address on file. This address have been consistent for very many years, I receive mail from Wells Fargo regularly at that same address.

I have been in touch with the bank every day since it was said the ATM department I was told that I would receive it in the mail. I spoke with Ms. Lyn a supervisor on two occasions during which time it was said by her that my case was elevated to another team since October 24, 2022. I never got a letter, nor the check that was supposed to be returned. During this period of time, I was advised to go back to the bank where the deposit was made, only to be told that they do not have the check. This horror has been a constant with Wells Fargo for the last month with no solution to the problem. I need my money right now and they have humiliated and communicated wrong information to me consistently.

Desired outcome: i need my money to pay taxes on my property now.

Wells Fargo Discrimination, unfair business practices, false advertising

On October 18, 2022, I went to the 6300 Roswell Rd. NE. Sandy Springs, GA location to open a new Business Checking Account. I met with personal banker, Hak Seav Khong, during the transaction, after he entered all my personal information into the system, he lied and stated that he was unable to verify my business through the GA Secretary of State website, this was false. I pulled the information right up on my cell phone while in his presence and he refused to accept the verification, then I asked Hak, if he could try another computer to verify my business. Hak, stated no. I asked for his supervisor. Carrie Catapano, a white female, came over and blatantly lied stating that Wells Fargo Bank was not able to verify my business because of an error with their computer. This was false and misleading information. I went back to Wells Fargo Bank a short time later and met with manager Carrie Catapano. I asked if their system was working properly and Carrie stated, "NO". The bank was open for business and no notice was posted stating that their system was down. Wells Fargo Bank denied me a business checking account because I am black! I DO NOT RECOMMEND WELLS FARGO BANK, for black citizens wishing to engage in any banking financial relationship, to deal with Wells Fargo Bank. Check their track record, they have been sued many times for, DISCRIMINATION, and other claims. This is disgusting. In addition, they provided me a document containing false and misleading information, the document stated that the gist of my visit that day was to update my residence, identification, employment, contact and phone number. No true, the main purpose of my visit was to open a new business checking account. This is fraud, I did not have any open account(s) with Wells Fargo Bank on or before October 18, 2022. The document stated nothing about congratulations on opening your new business checking account. DO NOT TRUST WELLS FARGO BANK, under no circumstance.

Desired outcome: I want an apology and $5000.00 for compensation.

Wells Fargo Wells Fargo Home Mortgage

Good afternoon,

I have been making mortgage payments for over 16 years without missing a payment. My father , John Altman got the house in his name because of my credit at that time. He passed away in 2007. My mom. Mary Altman sent in all of the necessary paperwork to prove he had passed away but for some strange reason didn't and to this day will not put her on the mortgage. Today I called Wells Fargo just to ask if they received Octobers payment as I had mailed it on the 12th. I don't see it on my bank account so I'm concerned . They said because my name is not on the mortgage that they can't give me any information . It's pretty ridiculous that I've been paying the mortgage for over 16 years but I can't even find out if they received my payment. It's also very strange that I can't make a payment online, over the phone etc but they have no problem taking my money when I pay through the mail.

It's been very stressful to both me and my mother trying to deal with Wells Fargo and will not use the company for any reason going forward .

Sincerely

William Altman

[protected]@yahoo.com

Desired outcome: When my father passed away , my mother and/,,or I should have been put on the account . It's her house and I make the payments . We want to be able to at the very least make online or over the phone payments

Wells Fargo Cashier's Check Cancellation Fee - $31.00

I opened the Everyday Checking account and transferred $500.00 to the account from another bank. My Everyday Checking account was closed due to proof of Residency documentation and the $500.00 I had on the account was mailed to my PO Box as a cashier's check. No tracking number was provided to me. This was a little over a month ago and I haven't received the cashier's check. I called customer service last week to let them know that I haven't received it and spoke to an agent named Michael, he tried tracking the check for me and confirmed that the check hasn't been cashed yet. He suggested visiting a nearby Wells Fargo branch for them to bypass it.

I visited the one in Yuma, AZ on Ave. B and 25th St. today and had a very bad experience.

I made an appointment for today and Evelyn was the Personal Banker who saw me. I spoke to her and explained the issue and called the number she needed to call to try to track the cashier's check. She confirmed too that the check hasn't been cashed. The whole process took 2 hours. Even with an appointment. Not pleased.

They did bypass the cashier's check, but I am very displeased due to the fact that I was charged the $31.00 fee for cancelling the cashier's check. I don't feel it is right that the fee was charged to me even though I have not received the check. Well's Fargo deducted the $31.00 fee from the $500.00. Not pleased about this either.

I had a very bad experience today due to this fee that I believe it should've been waived because it is out of my hands. It is an issue I did not create.

Thank you.

Desired outcome: Waive Cashier's Check cancelation fee and refund fee.

Wells Fargo Wells Fargo Kenilworth NJ

Oct 20 2022 @ 11;00

Went to the Kenilworth NJ branch of Wells Fargo on the blvd with my 88 year old mother so she could make a deposit. We had just come from the credit union where we received $2,500 in a mix of new and older bills.

When she tried to deposit the bills, she was told that they were possibly counterfeit. I was outside in the car, when I came into the bank to see what was going on, a gentleman told me to have a seat. Now when someone is holding your money and telling you that you are not getting it back and to sit down, well that greatly annoyed me. I knocked on the managers doors to find out what they were doing with my mothers money.

The gentleman came up to me and said there was no problem, It was just an old bill.

The gentleman could have saved a lot of time and goodwill if he would have explained that it was because there was a mix of older bills. I do not appreciate that they would accuse my mom of trying to deposit counterfeit bills. Wells Fargo should train their workers to recognize older bills. I believe we are both owed an apology and please instruct the gentleman on how to talk to people. We are your customers not criminals.

Desired outcome: An apology and better training of the staff at Well Fargo

Wells Fargo claims department

I'll begin by saying Wells Fargo claim Department and its process is the most unprofessional, inconsiderate and uninformed group I've ever dealt with. I filed my claim a week after being released from prison and found later that my roommates or someone. Had acquired my wallet while I was incarcerated. They then depleted my account And deposited bogus checks which then overdrawn my account $5000. My account was officially closed. September 28th of 2021. I was released from incarceration May 31st, 2022 I started a claim with Wells Fargo's. To claim department. Finding out that my account with you guys have been closed. It has now been. Five months since June 12th 2022 I began the claim. It is now October 20th. In my case. They say has been resolved. But I have yet to receive my reimbursement. I wish to detail the unfortunate events With wells fargos Team five months ago. I have lost residency, When I was told I was going to be receiving my check within two weeks. Two months Later with my rent, My roommates have no belief in my word. Due to the amount of times a Wells Fargo employee had claimed to have sent my check and never anything being received. I tell you that within five months I have called numerous Times. Trying to reason with these people does nothing. They have no sympathy. I then lost residency. As such, my transportation my buddy sold me. A Nissan Altima. I was to make payments each month. June, July, and then August goes by and I couldn't make a payment. I continue to inform. Him next week, a few more days, next week I will be reimbursed. All of which I was being told by. Their employees. Well, September 28th is when they apparently sent out my check. A week goes by and then I receive a check for 500$ 2 days go by another check for $19.50. I was never to receive separate checks. I am still owed A check for $7866. They say this is on the way. It has now been. Two weeks since then. So a new check has been Sent to me. They tell me this can take 90 days. Which makes absolutely no sense nowhere in the US. Do you mail something and it takes 90 days? I do hope that I do receive. My check but that does not count. As reimbursement for all. I have gone through. The lies I've been told. The frustration, the stress, the turmoil, Depression. Of all Wells Fargo claims department. Giving me the runaround. Especially. Your overseas employees. Every time I've talked to them. They have no idea what they are saying and they cannot comprehend what they are reading in English. The letters I received with the two checks I did receive from Wells Fargo Claims Department. They make absolutely no. Sense and have no. Explanation. They were supposed to include. Detailed. Explanations with the checks. I really hope that I. Do receive my friends and that. The CEO of Wells Fargo. Really looks into their customer care, especially overseas, and really changes some things. I see why there are so many lawsuits against this company. It is horrible. You guys have ruined a lot of things in my life for me, just wanting to get my own money. Your investigation team. Which I never got to speak with. I've called. Probably 400 times. If you guys keep a record since it says every call is recorded, then you can look for this. With my claims number. I have no idea what they were investigating. I sent in numerous times. My evidence of being incarcerated, that I could not have used my money in my account. That someone must have done fraud on it. I don't understand how. It took five months for them to realize. That I could not use my funds. And what they were investigating? Never did I get to speak to the same person twice. And had to explain my situation from beginning to end. Every single time I called, that's 400 times. And nobody knows what's going on. The incompetence of your employees is embarrassing. I don't understand why when trying to find what happened to my check. They couldn't provide me with the tracking number. After they've told me numerous times they would overnight it and it was sent out the remainder of my money. They never Overnighted anything or sent my check they had an error. I don’t know what to do from here. Thank you for your time reading this.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement of my personal money owed and compensation for my time I put into acquiring my own money. The countless hours on the phone and being evicted and losing my car. Change something within your system at the claims department.

Wells Fargo Estate care processing

This process has been nothing but hassle from the beginning until now. I began the paperwork to retrieve benefits from my father's untimely passing. In short, I've faxed all of the required documents 3 times, emailed countless more messages to have responses come back that things are missing (which have already been sent), I need to complete other forms, etc.

There is no excuse for these countless issues and delays!

Wells Fargo Enterprise complaints management office

Enterprise Complaints has not provided a sufficient response to any of my questions - they are continually wasting my time. In both Case [protected]*** and Case [protected]*** they have not answered a single question that I have asked. They cannot even send my information to the correct address.

In Case [protected]*** and [protected]*** - they were kind enough to let me know when she needed more time however, there was obviously nothing done relative to the multiple accounts made in my name that were created at Wells Fargo. I have been waiting patiently for information that most banks readily provide their customers (statements).

I could continue listing cases here, but I don't mean for this to be an exhaustive list of ECMO cases for which it appears that no work was done at all. I feel as if Wells Fargo employees are placating me and not providing the research that I requested, then following up with excuses.

Desired outcome: Statements, Fair Treatment as a Financial Consumer

Wells Fargo Wells fargo screwed me up big time - and they don't even care

I am disgusted and appalled at wells fargo. I got scammed about a rental and I called immediately to file a claim and let them know so they can flag the receivers account and help me retrieve my money. These are hard times and people are getting scammed left and right. So out of $3900 I was they initially reversed $2400. I was happy that I was able to get SOMETHING back, considering they supposedly have security systems and so called "fraud dept." but its all a sham. they don't give two [censored]s. today I checked my bank and they reversed the credit and put me in a HUGE OVER DRAFT, WITHOUT NOTIFICATION ON TOP OF IT! want to tell me basically that its not their problem that zelle or cashapp sent the money. (I didn't expect them to do much about cashapp- but at least flag the reported account) the fraud department is USELESS AND COMPLETELY POINTLESS. I've lost complete faith in wells fargo and I am switching bank. They don't care about their clients and I am for sure switching to another bank. its not the first time they've pretty done whatever they want with your account but cant help you when you have a REAL problem. I've given them a chance considering its not the first time they've either screwed me or caused me inconvenience, but i I stayed with them. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY life! switch banks while you can. flag the receiving account and/ or provide me their information so I can bring the additional information to the police. But they won’t even investigate the frauds account. OR credit my account back the 2400 it was credited! I was content and it made me feel like my bank cared at least. so not only did i get scammed 2900 now i had to pay almost 1800 in over draft just to get my account to zero. oh and thanks for screwing up my credit card payment and causing me to get charged late fee.

Desired outcome: FIX IT!!

Wells Fargo New account

I visited a Wells Fargo branch on September 12, 2022 at 2508 W. Shaw Ave, Fresno Ca 93711 approximately 3 p.m. for the purpose of opening a checking and savings account. The teller was very disrespectful, let me know I can only open new accounts by appointment only. I asked when I could have an appointment she checked and said next available was next Tuesday at 2:30 pm. There was absolutely no customers in the bank. There were several tellers and three desk bankers. Why is this bank so unwilling to help me open a new account? Why would I be required to come back the next week? I feel I was discriminated against.

Wells Fargo Business banking

Called bank to change my business account number to a new business account number because the (checking) account has been compromised. Customer service advised me it could be done. On the fourth day after completing this transaction the bank called me to advise me I must come into a branch to complete the transaction. (to my understanding this was completed 4 days ago). When arriving at the bank I was advised I need the reference number to proceed. I never received a reference number or was told about a reference number. Here it is now and I am approaching day 6, with a freeze on my business account. The business banker will not see me without an appointment (4-days from now), and i'm locked out of my business account until then. Wtf... Wells fargo bank is the worse bank in the u.S. There is always an issue whenever I call.

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage

I called Wells fargo home mortgage several times to resolve why they reported two late payments after I sent them the pay-off amount and all I got was people trying to hide behind technicalies and not understand the customer. They told me point blank that Wells Fargo does not have the ability to remove those two late payments and when I filed a dispute with the credit bureau, I got a message stating that Wells Fargo has refused to do anything about them. One of them is not telling the truth and I belive it is Wells Fargo.

It was the worst customer service I have ever had to endure. It was as if they were mad that I paid off my mortgage and have to do anything to penalize me. This is not the first bad experience I had with Wells Fargo Mortgage. In 2021, they actually settled with me through a mediation of a descrimination complaint I filed.

This is a terrible bank that does not seem to care about its customers. Avoid Wells Fargo like the plague. I am closing the rest of my accounts with them.

I asked the lady that called if she could transfer me to someone who could help me and she flat out stated that she is the highest person I could talk to. There was no empathy or an interest to understand where I was coming from.

Terrible service. Glad I don't have to deal them anymore.

Desired outcome: I really don't care if I hear from them. Whatever damage they have done to me, I am sure with time I will be able to repair it. I want people to know how bad they are.
