Makro Online Have not received my online order!

I placed an order with makro online two weeks ago and have not received my order. I get emails for days saying my order is with the couriers and will be delivered and have received nothing. I call the contact center and they keep saying your order is being delivered today and I wait all day and they do not arrive. I get told I will be called back and nobody bothers to call. This is completely ridiculous.

Desired outcome: Give my order or refund my money.

I am still awaiting feedback after I sent numerous e-mails & tried calling with no success.

Please provide a way forward.

Makro Online MAKRO (DEFY Dishwasher)

Hello Madam/Sir

Since November I have been complaining about my defy dishwasher, (about 7-8 logs with Makro).Eventually a "new" machine was brought to me, which seems older that the previous machine and my warranty runs out when the original one expires.

I wanted a refund as the GM of Makro was made aware of.

I did not ask for another Defy. what good is an appliance if i have to be handwashing a large part of the wash.

As a customer, I expect to have some say in the matter, considering that, as you are aware, I did NOT ask for another Defy. Your phone/email records will reflect that I wanted a refund, so that I could buy another brand, and this would have ensured that i would finally have NOTHING to do with defy at all.

Instead we got a call from a driver/technician that he will be at our premises in about 10/15 minutes with another machine.

(incidentally, I have never seen a new machine that leaves a puddle of water on the floor. this is what happen when he lifted this new machine to place it into position.) the door seems to be missing something as it is shaky & there are gaps on the left side. Is this a NEW machine or what?

We have been experiencing problems for close to a year. We definitely do not want to start this weary process again, & to compound this matter, this time with no warranty.

Please can we have a refund to purchase a brand of our choice from Makro.

Desired outcome: I want a refund because the replacement machine is now worse that the original one. there are plenty more email & about 8-10 logs since November last year. I am extremely DISAPPOINTED WITH MAKRO INCLUDING THE GENERAL MANAGER.

Makro Online Makro Gift Card balance

I received a Makro Gift Card with my Vodacom cellphone upgrade on Sunday 28/08/2022. The gift card was for R4 500. I have used a large portion of the card, but accidently threw away the slip for the last purchase and is not sure of the amount spent and the remaining balance on my gift card. I needed it to update my budget for the end of September.

I followed the instructions on the back of the gift card to obtain the available balance on my card, but none of the numbers are operational by the looks of things. I sent two sms's to 34543 with my gift card number, but still have not received a response.

I then tried to call the number [protected], but it seems this number is also incorrect. I called the customer service number [protected]) at the back of the card, but was told that they are not able to assist me.

I then called the Wonderboom branch of Makro, where I received the card, but was informed that they can't provide me with the balance on my card telephonically and I have to go to the branch to get a balance. This means that I have to drive 8 km, with today's high petrol prices, just to get a balance on my gift card, so that I can complete my budget for end of Sept.

I find this utterly ridiculous. Makro should please make sure that clients are able to view their balances on line or that the information on the back of the cards are correct to obtain a balance.

Makro Online Service at Makro Springfield Park

I applied for a new card online. My application was successful and i was sent an SMS to collect my card at Springfield Park. I arrived only to find they had run out of cards. The lady i spoke to at the new applications desks says it was the fault of the courier. My problem was, that they know my location and which store i was more likely to go to. Or even send out a general msg that Springfield Park does not have cards. I feel that was so unprofessional and then to be told to go to another branch. I do not own a vehicle and rely on public transport. On the day, the store manager, Leon was there and he instructed the Customer Desk Personnel to take down my details(which they did) and make a plan to contact me on the way forward or at least deliver the card to me. To date no one contacted me until i went to the same store again on 27/08/22. Hlengiwe was on duty and my application had expired. She redid my application and i waited instore almost 2 hours. The matter was escalated by a manager and finally, after i left the store again, i got the message online. I went back on 28/08/22 where everything was finally done and i got my card. I am just disgusted that i this terrible experience and service that i received. I cannot fault Hlengiwe or Leon who genuinely helped. In my line of work if this had happened we would have made every effort to deliver. a customers vehicle to them wherever in the country. I just needed to bring to your attention this unfortunate turn of events.

Desired outcome: i want an apology for the terrible service i got in trying to get my card and the unnecessary time i spent hiring ubers and of course the expense. I did not expect this from Makro. Tessa.[protected]@technostar.co.za or [protected]

Makro Online Online order - cancellation and refund

Refer order number MAK 3321103 for a value of R 899. I placed this order in November of 2021 as stock showed availability. I kept on following up and stock was not available. Eventually I cancelled the order on the 31st of December as it was supposed to have been for Christmas gifts.

After a few phone calls I was advised that a refund had been processed on the 7th of January 2022. I could not find the refund on my credit card statement, which is the account you have on record and from which I paid from for the order.

After receiving no joy, I eventually visited the Makro Strubens Valley branch and went to acquire about the refund again. I received a reference number 2279689 and Makro maintained that the refund was done on the 7th of January 2022 according to your records and I was requested to produce a bank statement to prove the contrary. I am attaching copies of my credit card statement for the months of December 2021 and January 2022 on which you will see the initial purchase but no refund at all. I now expect the refund as a matter of urgency. Website does not allow me to add jpegs so please send me an email address and I shall supply the bank statements in pdf

Makro Online Product item paid for now they are refunding me

Yesterday I did 2 purchases online and it was paid for and my order was processed and being packed. Today mid day I received an email my order has been refunded with my delivery fee,so I called customer service spoke to Richard and he tells me he doesn't know why but he will investigate so when he checked online it showed no stock,so I said if they had no stock Yesterday when I placed my order it would have told my no stock available. Just now I received a call from Luke saying it was a system error and I won't be receiving my order so I said I paid for my order if makro Made a mistake it's not a customer's problem plus they should have rectified the matter Yesterday this morning it's still showing available and now. So I want what I paid for he tells it not possible so I said I have seen on some social media platforms that some customers received their orders so I want what I paid for.

Makro Online Refund

On 21/07/2022 I returned items which were ordered online to Makro with order number MAK3734575. I was told that the refund will reflect in my card within 3 to 5 days and up to now it does not reflect. I know that Makro is useless but now they have outdone themselves with incompetence. For a shop this big I am surprised why you are still in business.

I called again on 08/07/2022 and was told that a follow up will be made and that I will be called on the progress, but no one called. I called again today and was given the reference number 2585399 and was promised again that I will be called back.

Do I have to sue to get my refund or what. Will you be paying for the finance charges on my credit card? are you waiting for me to die so that you can keep my refund. You guys are useless and should not be allowed to be in business.

Desired outcome: Refund ASAP before I take further legal action.

Makro Online Repairs gone wrong

Hi.

I sent my Android TV box on for repairs as DSTV was not working on it. About a week later on the 1/8/22 I received an SMS to collect it as the item was due for collection.

After waiting for over 2hrs for a simple pick up of a "repaired item" it was NOT repaired. I checked the item with one of your workers before I left as I knew it was too good to be true.

It's wasting my time, my petrol up and down aswell as adding aggrevation!

While waiting for your slow assistance of workers, I noticed a lady bringing back an entire full trolley of items that were off.

After my waiting of over 2hrs, I went to do shopping on my new card of thousands of rands. When returning home, I saw the 24 pack of 500mls of Coke Light were about to expire on the 12/8/22. I will return them when I collect my Android TV box. Not in 14 days as my petrol is not paid by you and your mistakes of expiry dates and mess ups.

Another mistake is my cables to connect my Android to my TV were not in my box that I gave in went sending for repairs. I sent it with every item I purchased it with.

I am extremely disappointed. Your service is going down fast.

Desired outcome: Still waiting for the 4th round of going back. My time, petrol and aggravation.

Makro Online No delivery, No refund

On 30 June 2022 I bought bar chairs online for a delivery. I was promised 5- 10 working days delivery. After the 10th day I started calling their customer service to find out of my delivery, I was told it's awaiting collections from courier company. Today, 27 July 2022 I called customer service, the consultant told me my order was cancelled due to NO STOCK from supplier. The consultant seems to know nothing and doesn't even know how I'm going to get a refund.

.Email was sent to my son from Jabulile Khumalo on the 23.07.2022 saying that the blender is damaged,no call was received.

.The call centre did nothing,

NB:I want to use my blender.

.Finally,I'm going to the 'hellopeter complains,as from the 27.072022.

Makro Online Wine Aerators

My order number is MAK 3687157,I placed an order for 3 items on the 24th June and part of the order was delivered with the other outstanding(2 *wine aerators) I made follow up and was told that my cellphone was incorrect, to my surprise it is the very same number that I was using and was told they could not deliver because of that.

I then provided my other number and to date I havent received my outstanding items.

Todat the 14th July I made another follow up and to be told that the items where received by Angela van Wyk, when I ask the her address 'the system does not pick it up'. But it picked the name😏.

I was told that they will send me the photos of Angela and I must reply to say I do not know her then they will take it further.

I refused to do that process, asking them to obtain Angela's details from their supplier who delivered the items to Angela however in the meantime I need my items.

My question was when they dispatch items, they always inform me via cellphone and email, now what happened to the part 2 order, why was the same procedure not followed. Now I must prove that I do not know the person the items were sent to.

Desired outcome: My items to be delivered plus an apology voucher for all the inconvenience and the loss of my airtime to speak to the consultants.

Makro Online Online store delivery

Good day, I bought a Printer from Makro on the 29th of June and the order was confirmed, on the 4th of July I got a message to say that the order is on its way, After calling your call center 4 times I still dont have a printer. Today is the 13th of July. every consultant that I have spoken to said they would give me feedback which they have not. This has been the absolute worst experience from an online perspective.

Makro Online Defy Microwave - Problems not suitable

BAD CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION

I am 62years old and the last thing i need is to fight with Makro Cape Gate of their bad service, 3 weeks ago i gave my microwave and i explained to the lady at customer service this Defy microwave i paid for is not worth it, i cant put anything to defrost or heat up in this microwave because it doesnt spin when heating and when you open the microwave door everything moves out of place like the rotater. Anything i put in to reheat all you can see is sparkles. I told that lady at customer service i need another microwave or a refund and i dont want this microwave back and she promised me and told me not to worry she wrote saying they should refund me. Up until today i didnt receive no sms or no update of what is happening. I tried calling Makro Cape Gate numerous times nobody answers the phones all you can hear is recorded messages. I tried the head office with no luck they answer your call and just leaving you hanging they just dont care. Please help

Makro Online Unauthorized debit card - but was working

good day all

kindly note my complain are very urgent as makro staff are not really trained to assist customers.

the problem was that on Saturday the 25.06.2022 i was at makro Meadowdale in Edendale and want to pay for my stock that i buy at around 9h10 on Saturday morning, as the card machine at teller say that i pin number are incorrected.

then i need to go to fnb n primrose sow i went and what did we discover that my card was working their were nothing wrong with my card or pin number. i went back the the treatment that i received for the staff were really bAD NOBODY mention even sorry or nothing jut lets do the transactions again. the ad part was that i was treated as like a criminal and i always shop at makro endenvale. i was wasting my fuel to go to an fnb branch and nearly had accident, i was late for other appointments due, MAKRO MISTAKES. the problems are i need to know how is the staff going to handling this matter really can not the tellers check their machines before assisting any customers. and i put in claim against makro for fuel the cost will be R500.00. I WANT A apologize as well the teller did not know who to handle customers. thanks i need confirm formations back urgent.

Makro online is a joke! No option to order and collect when you live in an outlaying area. The WA site is also a joke. Come on Makro! What happened to your customer service? Redesign your online platform to make it user friendly for everyone in any area to use.

Makro Online I want a full refund on my tv at makro cape gate

Good day.

With this email I would like to express how IRATE and disappointed I am in the service I received as a CASH CLIENT of Makro.

In short I bought a TV cash from your Cape Gate Makro store: March 2020 – Just before our first lockdown.

I brought the TV back December 2020 to your customer repair/service center BUT this department was closed.

As my TV was faulty and still under warranty.

I then had to return in Jan 2021 were my TV was taken in for service to see what was wrong, as not receiving any feedback from your service team I had to call numerous times to get feedback.

After my 7th call I was told my TV was fixed and ready to be collected.

When we got home and plugged the TV in it was NOT repaired NOR FIXED as it had the same faults, 2 days after I had to take off work to bring the TV back.

On bringing it back again they booked the TV in again and AGAIN I had to call to follow UP on my TV. On the 23 March I received (2695947 REF.) I received an SMS stating my product is ready for collection.

On arrival I asked what the story was that it wasn’t not repaired the first time (remember I was told it was fixed) I was told by the Floor manager for returns

That my TV wasn’t fixed the first time because of cockroach damage! I don’t have cockroaches it could have been damaged in your warehouse.

I then that same day escalated it to Benita Jacobs and she told met that Makro clauses say that cockroach damages will not be covered.

I then said ill take it further, a month later I returned to get my TV and was told I did take the TV, PLEASE CHECK I DID NOT on your CCTV cameras, I then went a second time and was told I will be called when they find my TV.

So now in short my “Cockroach” invested TV is gone. And apparently I signed a clause stating that I agree to Makro sending my TV/keeping my TV if I don’t collect my TV within 3 Months, o and did I mention that this document I signed can’t be found?

Now please help me. Understand how do you have proof the TV was damaged by cockroaches from my house, do they ware ID tags with addresses?

Why was I the one to keep following UP with Makro regarding my TV?

Why was I told after the first service that it is fixed but not and then after being “Fixed/Repaired” that there is cockroach damages?

I tried to google marko cockroach clauses – but there are none.

I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ANY MAKRO STORE OR RECOMMEND ANYONE TO MAKRO.

Not one manager could assist or even try to help.

Makro Online Returns dep and call centers

Ive spent easily 30 minutes trying to get through to the returns department just to get feedback on my microwave that is now in to repairs for a second time ( came back the first time not working) and I am getting no feedback and I cant get an answer through makro's terrible call centers.

If I could get the same product at the same price in the future, I will definitely go buy from your competitor instead just because of your after sales and warranty services.

its terrible.

Makro Online DSTV installation

On Sunday I bought DSTV ultra explorer for R1799.00. I included installation and it was priced at R3299.00. I also bought unimount TV bracket for R249.00. To my surprise the technician charged me an extra R1000 for mounting the screen which I unwillingly paid. What do you mean by installation, does it not include the mounting of the screen.
