Auto repair and damage to my car
On October 15, 2022, I took my Lexus 2010 for a new alternator and battery at the Firestone location at 20926 N John Wayne Pkwy, Maricopa AZ. Store #784295. The repairs were completed, and I paid the amount due of $988.66
On October 19, 2022 I noticed that oil had been leaking from my car onto the floor of my garage. I took the car back to the location to find why this was now happening. Prior to your employees working on my car, I have never had any problems with any fluid leaking from my car. When I picked up my car later that day, I was handed a workorder that had no work completed and no issues were resolved. I was told by the mechanic on duty, that he did not work on my car and this was not his problem.
I made an appointment with the local Lexus dealer to have the issue looked at by them. On October 22, I took my car Lexus of Chandler. Today, October 24 I was informed that the timing cover was cracked and leaking oil. This was a direct result of the work that was completed by Firestone.
Desired outcome: I have a tape created by the mechanics at Lexus as well as their written work order that this damage occurred when the work was done by Firestone. This repair will cost $8,000 and take up to twenty-seven (27) hours to complete.
Negligent Repairs
On 10/3/22 I took my 2013 Kia Sorento to Firestone Complete Auto Care store #7854 on Wallisville Rd Houston Tx. to have a oil change and tune up changing my spark plugs. After dropping it off, the store calls me and stated that I need to change my serpentine belt. I approved the repairs needed. Carlos was the technician listed on the invoice. I picked it up on 10/4/22 and the cost was $819.29. I have used Firestone before for all of my oil changes. Due to a sudden illness lasting for 2 weeks, I didn't drive my truck. On 10/22/22 I started my truck to hear a loud noise coming from under my hood. I then drove it to EZ Zone Auto Repairs 15017 Woodforest Blvd Channelview Tx. for them to check it out since they was closer than Firestone. I dropped it off and they called me stating that the noise under the hood was coming from whoever previously had worked on the trucks motor didn't secure the bolts back properly which broke the timing cover and had possibly did a lot of damage to the motor. Firestone was the last one that worked on my truck a couple of weeks prior. The estimated costs for the repairs at EZ Zone are approximately $2500.00 and could include additional expenses as well.
I am requesting that Firestone reimburse me for the negligent repairs costing me $819.29 as well as any repair damages of approximately $2500.00 and any additional expenses as well.
This mistake that Firestone made could have cost me my life at the age of 67 years old.
AMENDED COMPLAINT

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EMAIL SERVES AS MY FIRST NOTICE...…. PLEASE RESPOND BY 10/26/22
Desired outcome: I am requesting that I be reimbursed $817.27 that was paid to Firestone and any new repairs that are estimated at $2500.00 plus any additional expenses to repair my truck at EZ Zone Repair
Tune up
Was told in a 20 minute conversation with your attendant prior to purchasing a tune up that the tune up included ignition timing.
Your website also mentions timing and idol setting.
This step was not completed as the timing is off tremendously in my 2013 mustang.
If it wasn't part of the package you should remove it from your website and stop lying to people about it being a part of your service in person.
Will never use firestone again for any of my 3 vehicles.
Desired outcome: Refund me my money and fix the timing, already lost time and money aside.
an employee
This is my second having an issue with this employee. I dont know the employee name. I know he is a white male that wears a mask and black plastics gloves. I pulled up to the store on October 17, 2022. I pulled to the open door where they put air in your tires. The employee was sweeping the floor and never came to the car to ask if I needed help. I then get out and go in the store. The employee then came in the door and picked up a work order and proceeded to the computer. He never acknowledged that I was standing in the store. He never asked can I help you or anything. The phone was ringing off the hook and finally he answered on it after it had rung about 10 or 15 times. This has happened previously with this same employee. I think this is very bad customer service for this store. The first time was like the second. He was in the back doing nothing and finally came to my car after I had sat there for about 10 to 15 minutes. This employee has really bad customer service.
Desired outcome: to have employees treat their customer better than this. I have been dealing with this store for a long time and has never had this issue.
Service
I called Firestone St. Augustine on 57 San Marco Ave on October 5th to inquire about tire prices. The Man told the last tires I purchased two years ago were 700.00 but now they are 900.00! I told him thats too much and my budget was 5 to 600.00. He started looking and told me he'd call back. He didn't! Tires 900.00 last 2 year's? Ha! I purchased tires elsewhere 80.00 a tire great ratings. 327. For 4. I called Firestone back and made an install appointment for the 10th of October at 11am. I showed up for my appointment a nice gentleman with a mustache asked me to please make another appointment for Friday and they'll get it done in 1.5 hours and he'd give me a discount for my trouble. Ok 9am appointment Friday. Friday at 8: 45. I walk in a another guy is there. Big 6'5 6'6 not friendly at told him my situation and what the other gentleman told me. He "A discount!" I don't know about that! Then said he'd call me when my vehicle was done. I responded I was told 1.5 hours. He didn't respond. 1st Rude hap. I went for a walk and came back at 10:22. Mr rude sees me and says there's still 2 ticks ahead of you what do you want to do? What a question a? I said my tires installed and why are you trying to get rid of me? No response again. 2nd rude. The rest below is the appalling outcome! And all I have received from Firestone and Bridgestone support i generic responses! Please read and enjoy!
This happened on Friday the 14th of October a disgrace to the St Augustine business community.
My experience at Firestone St Augustine today:
Hello in brief because the St Augustine, San Marco store wasted 5.5 hours of my time today then I was called a b__ch by some ignorant goof in an old navy shirt that was sitting behind the counter taking with the crew. On Tuesday I had an appointment at said location when I arrived and checked in I was told to come back Friday because workers called in sick and I would receive a discount. I just returned home after a 5 hour wait at a 845am appointment. the vehicle was finished I paid and when I started my vehicle the air light was on. After So I stopped and started the vehicle several times to see if it would resolve but it didn't. After this extra long wait I was a bit annoyed so I went back in and told them and said "its ok though I'll do it myself to avoid another 5 hour wait. So I was then pursued by 2 people the rude manager and the jerk with the old navy shirt. The manager ran up to my moving vehicle and was pounding on my windows. When I got a chance to roll it down I told him to get the f away from me, he then returned to the driver window and told me to never return to this facility again. The jerk on the passenger side with the old navy shirt on told me the same "never come back here" with a very insane look on his face. Now one each side of my vehicle standing close intimidating me I couldn't move.. I kept telling them to get out of my face but they would not. So I said b__ch get out of my face figured that might do it. That's when the idiot in the old navy shirt called me a b__ch. Wow! A worker and a manager calling customers a b__ch and intimidating me.. By the way I was told 1.5 to 2 hours to get tires mounted. I was there from 8:45am till 2: 20pm. At 10 I was told I was 2 tickets away from being done , I sat and watched 5 tickets completed and it took another 4 hours to be completed all because I didn't buy my tires there. Talked to other customers while waiting that came in after me who's jobs were completed before mine 12 o'clock appointment. Thanks Firestone for your friendly experience and your representative calling me a b__ch. By the way not once did anyone say sorry for your wait. But the workers did stand around and talk to customers for 20 minutes at a time. No wonder why no work gets done. By the way tell the ugly goof ball in the old navy shirt that called me a b__ch that the light didn't go out and yes I finished their job in 5 min. This old navy sheep dog called me a [censored] twice. Little men trying to intimidate a 65 year old dude because of their unprofessionalism. This is the end of 30 years of my wife and my firey firestone business. We'll tell oh alot of people about this one! Thanks ugly old navy dude! Wasted words on these idiots parts. I wouldn't ever return Anyway, would you? Not part of their idiot club!
What should have been done in a real business:
Call customer immediately apologize for their wait. Tell them their light should go out in a mile or two. Situation resolved. But no I guarantee you this manager has a routine of being stupid! Plus the lite didn't go out the right front time had 32 pounds instead of 36 I finished it at home.. The reviews below are added by staff.. I talked with alot of people about this location and they all concur with me. Gustave Kurz Wait a minute ! Who is this masked idiot at my Passenger window. Acting like Billy dumb butt? Does he work here ? Did he stay at a Holiday in express last night? A bum off the street? Ahhhh the managers dog and is this guy a manager hmmm. So I'll ignore both and go back anytime I please . Should always introduce yourself right!
Desired outcome: These 2 senior citizen abusing idiots that are untrained in any type of management capacity fired so St Augustine and other customers don't have to put up with this type of service and treatment
Stolen catalytic converters
Hello
First of all, we'd like you to know that we've been coming to Firestone in Conway, SC since we've been visiting Myrtle Beach and have done so since we've moved here.
Recently, Thursday evening the 13th of October, we dropped off my husband's 2007 Dodge Ram truck because of a tapping noise coming from the front right side of the engine when accelerating. On Friday, October 14th, I received a call from Firestone letting me know that the cause of the tapping noise was the exhaust manifold. I was told Firestone does not do this service and I could come pick up the truck. Yesterday, Saturday, October15th, I went into Firsstone to get the keys for the truck. I watched them back up the truck out of the garage and bring it around front. The person who assisted me whose name I did not get but would recognize, could not find the invoice so he said "it's okay, go ahead and take the truck.". When I got into the truck to bring it down the road from Firestone to Addys Harbor Dodge, I jumped in the seat! It made the loudest noise that it sounded like a hot rod racing down the road. Also, now the check engine light was on. I turned off the car and went back in. When i told the person who assisted me about the loud noise, he said it was because of the exhaust manifold. I asked about the check engine light which not an issue when we brought the truck in, and he claimed it was due to bad fuses.
I went directly to the Dodge dealership and let them know what Firestone said. He took the keys and said he would call us after they loomed at it. Yeztetday, Saturday October 16th, I received a call from Dodge who confirmed the issue with the e,hast manifold. He said another issue is thief mechanic both ed that the catalytic converters were cut out! He said you can see where they were cut. He suggested we contact our insurance company about the theft and will be doing so as well as the Police to file a theft report. I did call Firestone and spoke with Matt and told him what Dodge said. I asked if there were any security cameras in Firestone. He said no. He said he is "pretty sure your truck was in the garage since I dropped it off. " I asked him to please speak with the staff and get back to me. He said he would, if not today, then tomorrow. So far, I have yet to hear from him and no one else from Firestone has reached out to us. We do plan on filing a police report and thought corporate should know. Please do reach out to us. Thank you.
Desired outcome: We'd like yo find out what happened to our catalytic converters and would like someone to reach out to us from Corporate.

Tires
I purchased my Dodge Charger in February as new due to an accident that totaled my previous vehicle. In July I felt some vibrations and noise that appeared to be coming from the driver side front tire. I took it back to the dealer, Lee Chrysler/Dodge in Wilson, NC. The service department informed me that the tire belt was broken, and it will cost $250 to replace it. I wasn't able to pay the asking so I search for a used tire till I was able to afford a new one. In doing this, I found a used tire at $60. The shop mechanic informed me that he could change out the tire, but he checked the other tires and said that I have 2 other tires bad in addition to the one. I contacted the dealer and informed him that I only had the vehicle a little into 6 months, but they told me it was nothing they could do. So, I have 3 bad tires and they didn't want to replace them. I contacted my salesman, and he informed me it was nothing they can do that I may can contact the Firestone Manufacture to see what they can do. I am riding on 3 bad tires on a new car that only had test miles of 100 on it when I took delivery. I am upset and frustrated that this has happened. The tires are making noise and giving off a rough ride. Please help me in this. I cannot afford brand new tires all around for a vehicle that I have warranty on accept the tires.
Desired outcome: I would like the whole set of tires to be replaced.

CLAIM #2595862 Phone: [protected]
CLAIM ADJ: SETH (ONLY SAW HIM ONE TIME)
10/01/2021: Received a quote from firestone complete auto care – 4401 Williamsburg Road, Richmond Va. 23231 stating that I needed to replace ball joints (left and right), struts and alignment after they test drove my car.
10/04/2021: Brought my car in for service to from firestone complete auto care – 4401 Williamsburg Road, Richmond Va. 23231. Upon leaving the shop, I notice the reason I brought my car there was not resolved. Car was making clicking noise when I turned and crackling noise when I was driving the car. I turned around and brought the car back to firestone. The mechanic who replaced the parts stated that he could not hear any noise (he heard it. He choose to ignore it). So he replaced the stabilizer bar control. I proceeded to drive away only to find that the issue and the reason my car was serviced there was not resolved. Car was making the same noise it was when I brought it there to be fixed and continued afterwards. I called firestone again and brought my car back on 10/18/2021. They scheduled an appointment with Hayley Chrysler and Jeep for an inspection. I informed firestone that I was going out of town end of October 2021 for surgery and will not be back until December 2021. Appt with Hayley Chrysler and Jeep was set for 12/27/2021. Car sat in the garage for the entire month until I returned.
12/14/2021: I took my car to Bill Talley automotive who ran a diagnostic on the alignment done. I notice my car was pulling on one side. Found that the alignment done by firestone was off (left and right front side) and the right front strut assemble was bent. I contacted firestone immediately. They already noted I had an appt with Hayley Chrysler and Jeep. So I parked my vehicle because it was not safe to drive.
12/27/2021: Drove car to Hayley Chrysler and Jeep where as they indicated what Bill Talley automotive stated and they noted that the struts where off market struts (something they do not recommend for my car) I drove car to firestone complete auto care – 4401 Williamsburg Road, Richmond Va. 23231 where I confronted them about the off market parts they place on my vehicle without my knowledge. They stated that the part replaced has a life time warranty. I careless about a lifetime warranty. I want quality work and performance to which neither was given to me for the price I paid. Once they replaced the strut and conducted a before and after alignment, the tech tells me that they cannot do anymore alignment because of right front which will require a camber replacement (on the same side as the damaged/ replaced off market strut). It wasn’t damage when they did the service now it needs to be replaced and I cannot get another alignment until replaced. (But I’m supposed to have an alignment warranty with the repair done 10/4/2021).
12/31/2021: came back to firestone again with the same complaint. They gave me information to file a claim.
01/10/2022: claim representative came out to look at vehicle. For some odd reason my brake line pop as soon as I got to firestone. They placed my car on the lift and he checked everything but could not test drive vehicle due to the brakes operation. I had car towed to another shop to get fixed (was not allowing firestone to service my car anymore).
02/2022 – 4/2022 Car still not performing correctly and the crackling and clicking noise continue. Firestone would not see me anymore because of the claim. I called every month concerning the claim to be told the report was taken and the claims adjuster would reach out to me. Never heard from the claim adjuster. I notice a zip tie under the right side of my car. I look to find that the flap, that covered the strut where firestone replace the right side that was bent, was tied down with a zip tie.
04/04/2022 - I took my car to Stafford Automotive for the same complaint I had with firestone and to determine why there was a zip tie under my car. Stafford Chrysler state whoever worked on the strut was too lazy to put the flap back on properly so they zip tied it. Stafford Chrysler made note of the issue and noted the rattling noise, aftermarket struts which they did not recommend for my vehicle and the cover not place on properly. I paid for that service and to properly replace the flap that covered the strut.
04/18/2022: took car back to from firestone complete auto care – 4401 Williamsburg Road, Richmond Va. 23231 for same issue and informed them about the zip tie that I had the dealer to resolve. I was charged $21.99 and nothing was resolved and I was told there was a claim and they could not address my car anymore because of the claim.
08/29/2022: I took my car to AARROW with the same complaint with firestone. They test drove my car and looked at the vehicle. They stated they can hear the noise/rattling (noise firestone mechanic stated he did not hear several times – because he choose to ignore it) they stated the struts do have EXCESSIVE RISE AND FALL WHEN THEY RAISED AND LOWERED THE VEHICLE.
Every month I called the claim department number from 01/2022 to 10/2022 and get the same answer, a claims adjuster will contact you, we will escalate it to the next person, or they will send the complaint to corporate office.
My car is riding horrible. All I hear is crackling clicking noise driving on the road, scared of bumps in the road for fear of the off market struts breaking/bending or causing more damage to other parts attached to it. Im not even sure he replaced the one that was damaged! My car is worse off even more before bringing it to firestone. I have been given poor service, non-quality parts on my vehicle, and my concern left on deaf ears.
Desired outcome: Please refund me my money $1,562.14, $21.99, cost of dealer repair flat they zip tied $149.32 and the cost to have the damage right camber due to Firestone negligence that i will need to replace ( quoted by firestone $163.99).
Service
I went to Firestone complete care on old Pascagoula road because I had some vibration in my tires, they said I need new tires even though they were not to old and wasn’t worn out so I went ahead and bought a new set when I drove my truck home I heard something in my tire rumbling around so I went back to them and they said they broke my tire sensor and that’s what was making all the noise so they replaced the sensor and then said the sensor in my other rear tire had a bad battery so they replaced it and charged me another $120.00 but then they said they was not able to reset my sensors so no I have two lights on in my dash one says tire sensor fault and the other one is a picture of the tire so they told me I would have to take it to the dealership to have my sensor reset which would cost me more money, I feel like they are responsible for damaging my sensors and I should not have to pay a dealership to fix something they broke, this is not the first time I’ve had tires replaced on my truck but it is the first time I have had any problems with my sensors.
Desired outcome: They should fix my sensors or pay for them to be repaired
Fix tire with possible leak
Called firstone tires on Howard St, Baltimore, Md. On 10/522 1:00 pm About possibly fixing a tire I purchased four tires back in 2019 for around 650$.. No warranty Service person told me over the phone yes we can fix for around 40$ didn't say anything about a time told them I was coming right away. Tire light was on...
Once I arrived about 10 mins later the service person told me to leave my Vehicle it would take hours to check my tire plus no guarantee that the tire would be able to be repaired if the tire wasn’t able to be repaired it would need to be replaced this was not mention when I called of a long wait time nor was it mentioned in there was no discussion if the tire wasn’t able to be repaired that I would have to purchase a new tire I was supposed to leave my vehicle for hours not knowing if the tire was repairable or would I need to replace and buy a new tire I had to ask if there was a tire in stock for replacement I was quoted that the only tire in stock cost $270. This was a waste of my time and very poor customer service, I have an account with fire stone and if need be I would have replaced my tire thank God I didn't leave my car for hours went a few blocks away tire just needed air no leak at all, I feel I received the worst customer service please keep all your services In costs transparent thank you
Desired outcome: If someone calls about tire repair be upfront and transparent please disclose wait times.

After spending over a thousand dollars on my car. They said my was car was fixed. Now my head casket blown for the very reason I took In!, Now It will cost me another 4000.00. Very corporate and all there about Is Money$. They were no help help what so ever. Totally Incompetent!
Be Careful Take car any where but there! Thank You so much FIRESTONE you could care LESS $!
At your Cicero, NY, service station, to change out fog lamp bulb was quoted by tech (seemed technically challenged also with the PC to look up charges) it would cost over $300 or more to change bulb. Explanation was to change bulb is very labor intensive, which is total crap because only involves loosening screws and pulling old bulb out to insert new bulb. Sounds, like they must take the entire car apart to accomplish that task. The techs there charge more than doctors per "hour" and they have a demeaning, superior attitude toward women. I ended going elsewhere.

Firestone complete auto care, banksville rd., 2950 banksville rd, pittsburgh, pa 15216 , [protected]; invoice #231199 date problem started 08/13/22 to present, unresolved squealing noise when wheels stopping.
I requested my yearly inspection and $9.99 care package, my lifetime alignment, oil change/filter change.
I made appointment for services 08/13/2022.
I left that day 08/13/2022 and the squealing started.
I called a few days later and spoke to matt. I asked to bring in the vehicle to be looked at due to the squealing did not start until after the inspection appointment. Matt says okay.
I made appointment for squealing noise. Andy, retail mgr. Asked me to be in the vehicle with him. I do know him that well. I told him could listen for the noise. Andy says did not hear it. Andy he won't charge me. I advise him this started right after the plate inspection and other services. Andy, manger told me to turn on the a/c to not hear the squeal. The same day i asked matt to drive in the vehicle, he agreed. Matt agreed heard the noise but does not know what it is or what to do.
Both matt and andy refused to help me stop the squeal. I did get another known auto repair store, monroe, they put it up on rack, and said the front rotors are rusted and causing squealing. I asked firestone to put rotors on, they agreed. And i still have the squealing noise since 7/2020 that started/originated with firestone services. Both matt and andy at firestone say there is nothing they can do. I asked for manager, and manager outside the firestone that store never called, text, voicemail, mail. I have been dealing with this squealing since july 2022.

I was there to change front tires and do alignment on my car.
everything is fine except for my steering wheel, they left a big scratch on.
my car is a 2015 maserati ghibli with 32,000 miles, everything in my car is spotless, and now my steering wheel that cost $1,200.00, has a big scratch.
I called the same day, made a complaint and supposedly someone would call me in a few days, it's been 2 weeks and so far I haven't received any calls, since last week I call 3 to 5 times every day to two numbers that they give me, (Chet at [protected]) one of them is from an claims supervisor ( Connie at [protected]), every time I leave a message with my data and explaining the reason for the call.
And as I said, to this day neither of them has called me. I tried to resolve the situation with them, but it seems to me that they think it's a joke.
I want my steering wheel replaced or the money that I can buy a new one.

Dent on top of car
On Sunday, September 18th, 2022 approximately 11:05am I took my 2012 Camry to Firestone on Yellowbrick Rd. to have the tires rotated. I went back home to wait for the call to pick up my car. While waiting for the service representative at the front desk to call back, I decided to call them approximately 2:50pm to see what was going on, the representative only stated that the log knots on the car was swollen and the tires could not be rotated. I went back to Firestone approximately 3:25pm to pick my car up, when I got to my car from the Firestone parking lot I noticed on the top of the car on the left hand drivers side back door a dent with a black mark was on my car. I went inside to alert the front desk of the dent on top of my car. The guy at the front desk went outside then talked to the guy that worked on the car with me stated oh I thought it was already there. The front desk clerk advised me to call the claims department. I had my car for over 10 years and had no dents any where on my car. I would like for Firestone to fix my car as soon as possible.
Desired outcome: The clerk at the front desk advised me to talk to the claims department. I want my car to be fixed and an apology.

My son Walter Sartin took our 2015 Chevy Malibu Eco into Firestone on 8/19/2022 to get Battery replaced that was still under warranty. Firestone said they could not replace battery that day. Firestone gave me and my son who is Firestone card holder a new battery to install. Got battery home and battery was not charged up. Took old battery to Auto Zone and charged it. Replaced it in car. Car ran properly with no problems. My so Took car back to Firestone with new battery that had given us for Firestone to charge up the new battery and replace old battery that was in car. My wife and I were on vacation in Vegas and we did not return till 8/24/22.
Firestone Techs did not know how to properly install battery in Chevy 2015 Malibu Eco. Car runs on a complicated electrical system that has front and rear batteries. Firestone kept car for 10 days, did diagnostic -see invoice and still were not able to install battery properly. When I picked the car from Firestone on 8/29/22 the Firestone techs has botched the battery installation and the electrical system did not work; the air conditioner, power seats, power seats, power windows, trunk lock did not work. Firestone Lied and say that there were after market parts installed and wires had been altered. All that was lies. I took my car to NALLEY Chevrolet were they diagnostic the problem immediately as Firestone Techs removing the Battery Fuse Block and failing to reinstall and tighten all the mega fuse connection on the Battery Fuse Block: which caused all the electrical system compotents to not work; the air conditioner, power seats, power seats, power windows, trunk lock.
Desired outcome: Want Firestone to Refund $151.51 I paid to Nalley Chevrolet to fix shoddy work Firestone performed on my car. Find Receipt from NAlley Chevrolet for $151.51
Brakes and Rotors
Hi, This is my second time in two months to file this complaint and I haven't heard from anyone. On August 9th I took my Lexus GX460 to the Firestone located at Goodman and Getwell, Store#799854. The service provided was a tire patched, Front and back brakes and rotors replaced. After I drove my vehicle off the lot I could easily hear scrubbing noises coming from the brakes which were supposed to be brand new at that time. However, I did not attempt to take my vehicle back to them because I was frustrated and I did not feel that they could resolve the issue, and they had my truck two days. I paid 1231.52 to have that work done and my luxury truck sounded like a tractor until I could get an appointment with Lexus. Two weeks later I took the truck to Lexus of Memphis and they had to perform that same service that Firestone said that they performed, and I don't hear any scrubbing noises from the front or back brakes and I had to pay another 2154.73 to get that work done. Times are hard and if I pay for the work to be done, it should be done correctly. I would have respected it more if someone had said we can't perform this job. I have the invoices from both Firestone and Lexus for additional proof. My name is Cedric Matthews and my number is [protected].
Desired outcome: I'am seeking reimbursement from Firestone for 1231.52
