Dollar General Risk Management

I've been trying to resolve a complaint to Risk Management at Dollar General since May 30,2022. I've made several calls that's gone unanswered, text and email without any response. I've filed several complaints via customer service and didn't get a response. I got food poisoning on May 30,2022 From some expired Rice Crispy treats purchased from Dollar general location 11975 Apache Ave. Savannah,Georgia 31419.

Desired outcome: I would love to speak with someone and resolve the issue because it's not going away.

Dollar General Safety protocol and customer service

Monday 8-1-2020, 3:00pm. Only 2 baskets outside which were stuck together, asked if there were any in the store, an employee sitting on the floor behind checkout counter who was on her phone said their outside. Asked male employee who was also on phone if he could help as I have a broken wrist. The store was a mess...freezer case had items in disarray, things on the floor (tripping hazard) which I kicked aside, lack of stocking plus a delivery truck as I left. I have been shopping at this location since it opened...unfortunately you lost an excellent Manager when Walter left and the town knows it. It's in your best interest to look at camera activity from today and a surprise managerial visit should occur. If I chose to shop again and employees are on their phones, smarting off to the Manager of the day, lack of customer service or helpfulness I'll take my money elsewhere

Dollar General

Im 69 years old...fell in dollar general parking lot pothole and have bad sprain right ankle contusions on left and right legs...elbows and hand. I had trip to er and am so sore all over from the fall. had to cancel all appointments for the week and am off my feet for at least 7 days. I cannot reach anyone to file insurance or complaint. this is another example of how large corporations get away with everything in the US these days and have absolutely free reign to ignore a customer complainrt with little worry of any real retaliation. i think they hope to wear one down so youll just go away...well i WONT go away. that pothole needs fixed asap before someone older than me falls and breaks a hip or worse. shame on you dg for so little concern for your patrons.

Dollar General I am complaining about your ID policy

I am beyond aggravated with the fact that I am 52 years old and am unable to purchase tobacco products at some of your Dollar General Stores. Some of your stores REFUSE to accept my digital ID which is verified through La Wallet. Many of them do but some of the managers refuse! I understand that the DIGITAL ID IS A VALID LICENSE AND BY LAW THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ACCEPTABLE!

Whether it is a law or not, you people need to goer all of yours stores and managers on the same page so as not to confuse your customers

Store number 06658 is instructed by the store manager Darrell NOT to accept digital iID!

Dollar General Denied employment

I have neem looking for a job for sometime, tho I have applied several times, the manager at D/G in Dresden Tn claims she cannot find my application. Now she says she can't hire me because of some remarks I made on her personnal facebook page! Furthermore, when they opened the store in Palmersville, the manager told me she had no problem hiring a disabled person, but she was replaced, I talked to the manager in place now and she took my name and number, but I could tell the way she looked at me she had no intention of hiring me! that store has gone through a number of employees in the short time they have been open, I am disabled, so I cannot work full time, due to the restrictions put on me by Social Security Disability, but I have my own transportation and I have a good work ethic, if someone would just give me a chance!

Desired outcome: give me a chance to prove myself, hire me, if i don't work out i will gladly bow out...

Dollar General Store manger Melissa #04810

Melissa is the store manger in Hempstead Texas and she took me off the schedule on PURPOSE and Intentionally unless she has Alzheimer's. She was to call me today and did not because I spoke with her on the 15th of July. i DONOT LIKE HER ATTITUDE AND SHE IS 2 FACED. SHE trying to hire all her staff from the other store I guess. She has not taught me anything that she was to do .That store is a mess. I do not bother anyone when I worked I did stock. she may be Mad cause I sent this complaint in but it is what it may be. The cashier asked me if I was 30 years old (in order to buy the lighter). This is ridiculous. I am 71 years old but what if I was a 25 year old person who wanted to buy the lighter? They wouldn't have sold it to them?

Dollar General Gift card

I bought a visa giftcard on 7/15/2022 at Dollar General for 80 dollars.I tried to use it after four hours and it wouldnt go thru. I called the number on the back and the voice mail says the card was never activated. I went back to the stor and the MOD said there was nothing she could do. I said mam I can not use it. She said here, took the card and called the number on the back. In fron of customers and their cashier,she put the call onspeaker phone. After the call went thru and the recording says"There is a problem with your giftcard,take it back to the stor where itwas purchase and have the to active the card." This young lady says ,well here let me call the manager, but she want do anything, you took the card out of the store.

The manger did nothing. They made me feel like I was a horrbile person just for being upset they didnt activate the card. I have called home office and they keep promising that the DM forthat district will return my call. It has been 7 days nownothing. I am going to start looking into legal avenues because I did nothing wrong but buy a GC from my local store. Any help would be appreciated.

Very frequently, prices ring up higher than the shelf stickers. I have been told by employees that their policy does not allow them to adjust the price to what is advertised. They have also told me that they do not have time to keep up with price changes. Most retailers will honor these discrepancies.

Dollar General Employee notice of intent

I handed in my 2 week notice to the store manager at 19969 and she told corporate that I did not hand in my notice. I know all camera's are in the office so they could see that I handed in my notice and in fact she asked me to work one extra day after my notice which I did for her how can I get this changed on my leave form? How can I get this corrected?

I love shopping at this dollar general it’s always neat and always has the cutest little items to decorate my home. All of your employees are so sweet and helpful EXCEPT the young African American lady, (I myself am African American so that has nothing to do with it but I never really thought to get her name so that’s the only way I could describe her being that I think she is the only one who works there), anyways every time I visit the store & she’s there I’ve witnessed her have the nastiest attitude towards her coworkers and even customers. She snatches money from customers hands, there’s been incidents where if the store’s line is long and a coworker calls her for assistance she’ll come to the front of the store with an attitude cursing in front of customers. Overall she’s just a real “snobby”person. I travel a good ways to shop this store and would hate to stop shopping here due to one bad employee! & I am not the only person who has said something about her manners and attitude.

Dollar General Getting an order

I sent a request to store 4619 when you had a sale on coke products 3 twelve packs for $12.00.

I wanted to see if it was possible for me to get 6 or more twelve packs caffeine free diet coke for the price.

The store never seems to get the product in or interested too.

The answer I received was someone would get back with me. It has been almost two weeks and a different sale.

I feel management is ignoring my question.

Desired outcome: I would like to get at least 6 twelve packs of caffeine free diet coke for the price at that time.

Vendors can supply the store with special requests. A good manager can and would accommodate this order for a customer. Very easy to do.

Dollar General Denied access to store #21395

Today July 9 approximately 8PM, an employee of the store on Airport road walked up to me as I was shopping, and said that the MANAGER of the store does not want me there anymore, because she said "You threatened the store".

This WOKE retard was referring to an incident a few weeks ago, where one of the store's customers who came in AFTER I did, vandalized my vehicle by tearing a flag I had mounted on my cargo carrier. When I came out of the store, I found my vehicle in that condition. I went back in and stood at the door, yelling for the vandal to come out.

On July 9, my conversation (if you can call it that) with your employee, she said that "the flag fell by itself", as though she was there. I would like to see the store's CCTV footage of the parking lot; I have footage from my body camera of that incident. Your employee threatened to call the police. Well, I know every cop in this town, and I will be speaking to the Sheriff on Monday.

I will attempt to contact the store manager this week to resolve this issue, to "exhaust local remedy". Failing resolution of this issue, I will file a police report for discrimination based on Political Ideology (I'm a Republican). You go "WOKE", you'll go BROKE.

I shop at Dollar General all the time, and if this incident is NOT resolved, I will post the entire incident on all my social media platforms, and your company will be hearing from legal counsel.

Desired outcome: I want to talk to the store manager, and I want an apology.

Dollar General Wrongful termination

I found out I was terminated May 16, 2022, I put in my dispute May 16, 2022, the same day for a Peer Review Program. I just received an email July 7,2022, saying we have reviewed your termination dispute form. However, the date of your termination exceeds the company's 30-day guideline. I have been calling and trying to get in touch with HR at corporate since May 27, 2022, I have phone records and other things for proof because I had a feeling, they were going to try this.

Dollar General Total wireless nokia c100 phone

I Bought a NOKIA C100 PHONE that was defective and tried to get a refund but your store # 23324 has refused and told me to call TOTAL WIRELESS which told me I have to take it back to the store where I bought it. They don't refund on phones. It was malfunctioning as soon as I tried to activate it.

Dollar General true living soft double roll 32 count toilet paper

I bought the 32 pack double roll of soft true living toilet paper. When I got home and started using it I noticed the texture and size were very different. I have bought this brand for years and have never had an issue. The toilet paper is super thin and crumbles when you wipe. It feels really rough and uncomfortable to use. It is nowhere near soft as it used to be and takes triple the amount we used to use to clean ourselves after using the restroom.

Desired outcome: I would like my money back and for the toilet paper to go back to the way it used to be.

Dollar General Store being closed not regular hours

I was at the store 250 E Pearl Goliad Texas, this morning at 8:15 am. Nothing was said about the store closing and no notifications were on the doors. I left an overnight package shipping FEDEX at the store. As far as I can tell, the tracking number is not showing active. There was a phone number listed on the package, the store could have called, and I would have picked it back up. I am very disappointed in the handling of the store since the old manager retired. I need an answer ASAP. [protected] is my cell.

It is Dollar General, not a FedEx store. The employees likely didn't know it would be closed either, and your package is the least of their concerns.

Dollar General Hours of operation

As of weeks now our dollar general in Prescott Arkansas opens in the morning at 8am and closes by 10am. They claim the ac is no working. We do have a family dollar but their shelves are empty. There has been several times they could leave to doors open and stay open but one employee stated they weren't opening the doors so they could get on out of there. Please get our dollar general up and running. Our community needs them.

Several items in my basket were not scanned correctly.

Knorr noodles: shelf price $1.00( took a picture of it on shelf) rung up $1.25.

Cashier was upset that he had to have the manager discount each individual bag. What has retail come to? Hmmm? Lazy and incompetent.

Also, I as a customer, could not see the prices as they were ringing up, the screen for the customer to view each price. It was off and against the wall. I could barely see on her computer what each item was ringing up as.

For the love of Pete please give Karen back her whole $1, her future depends on it. Do you know why the cashier was upset? Because they work VERY hard trying to stock shelves with never ending overload of inventory non stop while customers make a mess directly behind them. One person on a shift trying to run register, show people where things are, do the scanning and pricing and resets and money counting and so on and has to yell for the manager who is working 80 hours or more a week to come and override each item you are complaining about while they are trying to do their tasks and print out CORRECT prices in the back. Please don't shop at them anymore and tell your friends. The employees don't need to have rude people like you making their jobs harder.
