Service
Our dg in Randolph, VT just fired Aleasha Finkle. The only cashier that consistently was doing her job and not out front smoking cigarettes all day while customers had to wait 10 minutes or more to check out. Aleasha has learning disabilities but did her job. She forgot to bring in plastic pools from outside and was terminated. Even though the pools were there in morning. This was the first time she forgot. Why didn't she get a warning? This store has trouble keeping employees and the store has been a mess since the first manager passed away. Big mistake.
chances are there was something else they suspected her of doing. and that was just an easy way to get rid of her. unfortunate. but the company has to protect its product.
Dollar General Semi consistently parking overnight on residential street
Dollar General Semi consistently parking on residential street. 800 Block of Brookwood Drive, Oklahoma City, OK 73139. This truck parks here several nights a week and causes issues when having to pass. Was parked there during heavy snows a few months ago. I'm not sure where the individual lives as parks on the street in front of apartments.
These pictures were taken on March 29, 2021 at 8:00 pm CDT.
Please find out who the driver is and inform them that this is not an approved parking spot for semi's. Cab - Werner Enterprises, Nebraska tag W29064 or N29064, 75025
Trailer - Tennessee tag T986465, 11535
Desired outcome: Stops parking their semi on this residential street in front of the Brookwood Village Apts.
I drove for Werner on a different account and it is policy you find a approved parking spot. No parking on the street on or off ramps and no parking beside the main road/interstate
Semi trucks are allowed to park on residential streets as long as they don't do damage to a public road. California is the only state I know that defines a truck that can not park on a residential street and the only requirement to be allowed to park on their residential streets is that they weight less than 11, 000 lbs which is about of amount of sustained pressure needed to make asphalt roads to start cracking.
Dirty store/obstacle course/lack of products
Someone needs to visit the store located at 514 Greenville Road, Mercer, PA 16137. This location is very dirty and photos will show that there are carts in aisles and blocking aisles that does not make it conducive to shop with a cart. A customer should not need to move a cart (could get injured), nor should I need to alter my path to look for an open aisle...
Read full review of Dollar GeneralI am complaining about Cliff Scott one of your District Managers..
I'm complaining about Mr Clifford Scott because, i can tell just by being a customer and someone who is a relative of one of your managers that have served you well for many many years now. He is not fair with his team, he picks and chooses. depending on who he has a better connection with and that's not fair. I know of managers that have cost yall so much money yet he's still best friends with them and has them over some of the other managers. He puts too much on his team members and then when they ask for help he's nowhere to be found. The relative I have that is a manager and has been a manager of 3 of your stores now. They have asked Mr Clifford Scott for help but he has yet to give it to them. Now that Mr Clifford Scott is moving this said person again, he finally brings a team in to help them. So he's pretty much getting that store ready now that the manager is leaving for another manager but yet not getting the the store my relative is going to straight. Mr Clifford Scott is racist and if you aint some young white girl who will sleep with him or if your skin aint the same color as his then he throws you to the dogs. So theres alot of team members left behind when it comes to Mr Clifford Scott
i hope this find it's way to Mr Jeff capel if not i will be contacting him another way thank you and have a blessed day.
Desired outcome: Mr Clifford Scott will see his team members as humans again and not robots

I am a driveline representative at Johannesburg Dollar General. My name is Jeanette Shire. I work for Jennifer Arocho +[protected] [protected]@drivelineretail.com.
Why twice now would the Store Manager (Tracy/Stacey?) and now the associate Shandi ask me to purchase food for them because as a lone cashier in the store they are not able to purchase fir themself. I refused the store manager a few weeks ago and the store manager had someone else buy her gum and this time I said ok but from a sox and separation of duties perspective and/or Free bagging concern I feel something is not right. I am unfortunately new and tend to be a target with the FBI telling me I do have a case but am concerned with their including me in a potential risk situation.
My contact info is Jeanette Shire [protected] and [protected]@yahoo.com.
Desired outcome: Your managememt issue.
I'm not sure how it is viewed everywhere but there isn't any actual policy saying associates can not process their own transactions. I have worked for Walmart Kmart and Family Dollar and none have any written policies on who can and cannot process which transactions.
Digital coupons Hershey’s
I have purchased on several occasions Hershey's candy . I've purchased more than I usually would because digital coupons offer 3 off a 10 dollar purchase and Most recently 5 of a 15 dollar purchase of Easter candy and it never deducts I mean never .I do not bother the cashier as there is only one and Saturdays there is usually a line so I don't put the pressure on the staff . It is not their fault . You can review my purchase history and see the coupons I had down loaded and the items I purchased . Check 3/27/21 . The Easter candy . Phone [protected] . Also you usually do not have the items in stock that you offer coupons on . I shop at my location weekly due to convenience . I would like to continue . My response to this complaints will depend on whether I continue .
Desired outcome: A refund of the $5 for the Easter candy midt recently purchased . Will accept gift card

This is the second time I have contacted you. When is this store going to correct this problem. They are calling for severe storms tomorrow and you can guess what is going to happen to this trash and cardboard when it comes tomorrow. The store number is 408 and it is on Court ST. in Marion Il. I l live right next to this store and get tired of their trash.
Desired outcome: Lid and lock on dumpster and keep cardboard inside
they’re supposed to be kept inside at all times until the truck comes. however this is impossible for some stores do to lack of space.
This appears to be compliant with industry standards other then a few bits on the ground and the dumpster appears to be missing a lids which probably why there is a few bits on the ground. Though lids are more the responsibility of waste collection company. The cardboard appears to be in cages as they should.

I was let go almost a month ago being reinsured I would get my vacation pay. I filed complaints to the company. Of course they go unheard also I got wind that the manager n asst manager were telling customers who came in and asked for me why I was let go. Yes I did tell the head people of that. Needless to say I refuse to go near the store. I was very lucky I got a new job in a pizza ranch locally *3 blocks from home* I may make less money but I get tips n loads less stressful for me. I spent two n half yrs put up with rude snotty asst managers *4 of them* 3 managers half a dozen of key holders n fellow cashier's. I started on the bottom worked my [censored] off to be full time key holder only to get screwed over. I fixed others mistakes, trained all the new help, and do up to seven totes a hr. Now I sling pizza n I don't get called in cover others butts fixing their mistakes n such but yes that extra money would be nice and I am filing a paper to my states employment office on it.
Desired outcome: Being paid the money I am owed!
Vacation pay is not a vested benefit at DG or any other small format stores. When you are terminated the award is rescinded. If you don't use your vacation pay within the fiscal year in which it is awarded then it is rescinded. If anyone told you that you would still get that vacation pay they lied or assumed that you would. DG doesn't have to honor this type of misunderstanding.
Worker, cleanliness, messy
I live a few miles from your store in Eastabutchie, Ms. It is consistently the dirty nastiest store you will ever go in. The selves all always a mess. Trash is always on the floor. Worker are rude and don't care if the customer is ever taken care of. You obviously do not have Management that inspect this store. There is another store north at Moselle and it is fine. This has been that way for years. I stopped going there because of it long ago. Today I needed something on the way home and stopped. It is a very terrible reflection to your company. I am a Regional Manager for a major company. I know at times everyone has a bad day but this has been that way since it opened.
Desired outcome: Clean store with respectful workers.
Truck driver
Dear Sir
We have a complaint to make on one of your truck drivers. We were traveling this morning on Texas highway 152 just east of Pampa, TX.
We are pulling a 30' Air stream travel trailer. One of your Dollar General trucks #35004 passed us on the right side of the road where there's not a very large shoulder. This is a two lane highway & it was clear for him to pass us on the left side. We actually had to pull into the oncoming lane because there wasn't enough room for us in our lane. Had a car been coming from the other direction it certainly would have caused an accident.
Thank you for reading this complaint & I'm sure you'll be contacting this driver for his unsafe way of driving.

Wearing of masks
We moved to the small town of Mountain Mesa/Lake Isabella 2 years ago. A year ago the Pandemic which showed no signs as a mere flu created chaos. Yet stores like Dollar General, Family Dollar, Grocery Outlet & Rite Aid in our small town, respected our God given freedoms and have not enforced masks. Today 3/20/21, a year after the "pandemic", we went to our...

I am a customer ofbthe Dollar Store on East 7th st. In Hopkinsville, Ky. On multiple occassions i visited the store and it is filthy! The floors are dirty, the shelves are empty. There are carts sitting arounds blocking shelves or aisle that have products on them, but the shelves are not stocked. This is not something that is new, it has been going on for years, but it just seems to keep getting worse. The employees blame it on the customers that frequent the store and I dont doubt that to a degree. But something needs to be done! Either hire some stock people or more employees to get the job done correctly. I dont know if the employees you have are lazy or overwhelmed?
I can drive 10 miles down the road to your Lacy Dollar Store and it is so neat snd clean and the shelves are stocked and well kept. A former manager at the East 7th street store told me that was because the Lacy Store had less customers...or maybe the Lacy Store works harder at keeping their store clean and stocked. Perhaps they take a little more pride in their jobs. Maybe the East 7th Street store has had poor management?
There is a problem in that store and from reading other complaints this seems to be a problem with quite a few of your stores. Peehaps you dont care as long as you are making money. It makes people wonder when nothing seems to change!
I hope you will you honestly take a look at this store and see how it can be helped. I think it can be better but somebody is going to have to step in and lead that store. And while you are at it, checknout the one on West 7th and North Main. They also have nasty store. Perhaps it is the location and customers that it serves. But with the proper amount of employees and guidance it could be better.

Product/Service I am complaining about store #10103
I am a customer who goes to Lake Panasoffkee, Florida's Dollar General store # 10103. I frequent this store sometimes three to four times a day and the shelves are always bare of product. Every time I pull into the parking lot 3 or DG's employees are standing on the side of the building smoking. (Store Manager Nancy, Associate Kim and Associate Marion). There is only one employee in the store (Ms. Jackie) and she is running the cash register with the line backed up down the aisle. When the Manager and Associates re-enter the store the walk to the back and don't assist Jackie with the line formed.
Desired outcome: Address Smoke breaks and number of employees at a time

the Dollar general store in Brighton Tn 38011 is so messy and you cant get around anything cause they got stuff every where you have to move stuff to get to where you need to go floors are dirty and the Dollar general store in Atoka is 10 times worse something needs to be done or they will lose people that shop there and the rows are so small that you cant turn around with the basket or pass anyone on the same row
Appearance unsafe, unsafe aisles
For years this store is a mess. Merchandise in the aisles. Employees that do not care. The most concerning is elderly shop here and the appearance of the store is unsafe. As you can see by the pictures and other posts it seems to be that all Dollar General stores do not care of their appearance and safety of their stores. You would hope that with all of the complaints that something would be done.
Desired outcome: Clean up the aisles and appearance of the store
The new Dollar General store in Trenton Mo. has so much in the aisles it is hard to get around and along the back wall where all the toilet paper and paper towels are is all lined up with carts of empty boxes where you can't see the prices of anything and if you need anything you have to move the cart or carts out of the way so you can get what you want.
