Disorganized from head to receptionist!
Upon signing for the six month lease, it was trouble for the beginning. My contract was violated in the begining when I was denied access to the time usage as outlined in the contract. I was told that I had to take the site hours as she understood it. Informed the representative I was reading my contract and she continued to talk to me as if I was lying. Upon strong complaints with the representatives, corrected sorta, Never got an apology from the one that did it, she will not even make eye contact with me. Then Regus bills for the next month two weeks into the prior month. A bill aka invoice is sent for the next month two weeks into you current paid month. Just received an "e-dunning statement for the next month not being paid, Today is 11/22/11. Payment was sent 11/15/11 and they received the payment on 11/18/11 and it was not posted by then until 11/22/11. Really four days to post. Poor use of resources and time. Maybe if they take this time to help with the posting delays, would be a better use of resouces,. Offices for drop daily use have no books on the shelves in any of the office for daily use, some have no pictures, dusty and its so obvious that it makes you appear unprofessional or just moved in minutes before your clients arrived,

Hidden fees/ misleading business practices
Had a one yr lease agreement. Upon entering into the agreement it became clear that the entire yr would be a headache of contacting the corporate office to have unauthorized charges removed from my bill. They have so many added and hidden fees you need an attorney to go over the lease. The offices are the size of a closet. They charge 30 dollars a moth at a three person minimm for a coffee fee even if you dont use their kitchen. Also charge extra and above for onternet service at an additional 30 per person. Joanie whos one of the managers is very rude and difficult to deal with. Upon leaving the office after my lease was up they charged my acct. For an additional 11oo dollars for a wear and tear fee! The ofice was occupied by one person and there were no damages to the office. They should be avoided! There are so many real offices that are available in the area at 30% of the cost

Unethical and dishonest behaviour
I can only tell you my experience with Regus, unbelievably BAD. It is 2 months since my contract ended (I rented a desk and chair in a room of about 5 m x 5m with three other people), now they are trying to charge me $178 for cleaning and are going to take it from my bond money which was $700.00. I still have not received one cent of my bond money and each time I email I am either ignored or fobbed off and constantly told another three weeks.
Prior to this they tried to charge me their continuity fee of some $900 when I questioned it (as Regus never performed any service for me such as answering phones etc) they said bluntly 'didnt you read your terms and conditions' . When I did read the small print it was obvious the continuity fee did NOT apply to my situation. After much angst and many hours of writing emails they took the fee off and now I am disputing the restoration fee. I spoke with the Sydney office and they said that the restoration fee is not correct either as that was for clients who rented the whole office not a desk! Every employee of Regus that I have had to deal with has different responses, different charges! I am treated with contempt and have to fight to get a reply on anything. I am living in France and so it makes speaking to anyone even more difficult. Whenever I want to speak to someone they are 'out of the office'. The restoration fee dispute is not the reason I have not been refunded my bond money as they have shown me the figure of what they will refund me and in their eyes the restoration fee was never up for discussion, there have been many other mistakes made by the accounts dept in relation to telephone charges etc for calls that were never made as Inever had a phone etc but these are minor annoyances. The issue here is far greater and I believe that anyone contemplating using Regus office space should stay well away. From my experience Regus do NOT care about small business and they are dishonest and unethical in the way they themselves do business
Dear Chris
I am oustounded to hear from you. Only last Friday Angeline Cheong from the Sydney office PROMISED to email back to confirm she received my emails outlining my problems...and guess what...I have received no confirmation email. It is like every staff member of Regus ignores any concern a client has, it is rude, unprofessional and dishonest. I have no interest in anyone saying they are going to help me when clearly they had absolutely no intention. It would appear that Regus are determined to keep my bond money (which is ILLEGAL and I will be calling my family's lawyer tonight French time). My problem is NOT because I am in France, France has nothing to do with the fact they will not refund my bond and are charging $178 to clean a desk!
I have had problems with communication with Regus when I was in Australia. Your head of Sales Mr Craige Marquart has ignored my concerns now since early April when I sent him an email outlining my problems, he failed to even respond even though I was told by the Sales Manager in Adelaide that he was the person to contact and he knew about my situation.
I had to laugh when I saw your response to another disgruntled client ...'you reach out to clients to help them'...REALLY, how is then that I can get no email response even though I am promised one, cannot get anyone on the phone because they are constantly 'OUT OF THE OFFICE', I am more than sure if I owed Regus money I would have no problem getting hold of someone at Regus.
By the way when I asked the Sydney office to speak to Cutomer Service they said there was no customer service. So what is it Chris that you intend to do exactly, I would be very interested to hear. I have noticed you have not tried to reach me personally to get more details from me or help me, so I can only summise that this is Regus's PR machine in action (damage control) I think they call it. I have no interest in spending another 3 hours copying, pasting, writing, forwarding all my emails and responses to the address you have given me. If you would like to help me then get Angeline Cheong to do what she promised me she would do and confirm she has received my emails and that Craig Marquart has also and that there has been something put into action to help me. It would have taken her 3 secs to send that email. She has even ignored another email I sent later stating how upset I was that she did not do what she said she would. It would appear all Regus staff have no concern for any of their clients.

The worst service i have ever had, sales people lie over the phone
I firstly want to say that i am not the kind of person that writes reviews, i am a busy web designer and trainer and i have no time but i think it is amazing that a company can get away with sales people that lie to make sales, a customer service department that is the most unhelpful i have ever seen.
I teach graphic and web design, and i teach loads in London, i was using the royal festival hall but the Internet is not the best so i thought i would try and get a day office with regus. i saw someone at Trafalgar Square,
she meet me in a nice board room, showed me a 5 man office, and then told me that i could use the room how ever i wanted, including teaching 2 or 3 in there at a time. This was a compete lie as you can only have 1 guest at a time.
I left it for a wile, and then thought i could try it for a couple of months.
I spoke to someone on the phone who told me that i could have it for 3 months, so i could try it. this was another lie as i only found out after that the min term is 6 months with a 3 month notice. also i was never told that they take 2 months upfront.
I used it for about 1 month, it was terrible, most of the rooms were 1 man, its was always too cold in the rooms, they were mainly in the worst places. the place were so busy all the time with people walking past the rooms so u could not have the room open, no windows
when i tried to call customer service, i never got through, wasted hours on the phone to them. i finally got through on email to right department, told them what had happen, they still made me pay for 5 months alto i only used it for 1 month !.
it is the worst service i have ever had, to be lied to more than once, they stopped replying to my emails when i told them about there lying sales team. even tho i told them that had i have been told about the 6 months contract with a 3 month notice i would have never signed up.
I am going to take them to the small clams court after i make it my life's work to make sure that all there portal customers know how bad they are.
I would highly recommend avoiding them like the plague,
Alex from london
Non-compliant
My complaint is that you're all complaining! First off, the regus group, or regus, has no affiliation with any other company called regus investment group or regus realty or realtors, so the scam artists you're talking about here has nothing to do with regus! Second, all these complaints have no merit, mostly because half don't have to do with regus, and the other half because I know firsthand what kind of company regus is. I've been working for regus for 4 years now and have never had one client complaint, or employee/coworker ever talk negative about the company. Regus offers a great working environment and unlimited experience for those who use the chance to push themselves and be ambitious with their future career opportunities, especially the ones that regus has to offer. Working for regus allows you to use your skills to the best of your ability and lets you create a professional work atmosphere that's exciting and a great learning experience. I would recommend anyone apply for a position with a regus center if they want to gain an immeasurable amount of knowledge and work experience in a business environment.

Everyone is talking about Regus the company that provides office and virtual office services. Your opinion about Regus being a good place to work for doesn't contradict or disprove the FACT that several customers are dissatisfied. Regus has deplorable practices and mistreats and misleads its customers. Anyone looking for virtual office services or office space should look elsewhere. STAT AWAY FROM REGUS!
Watch out for the fine print. They will charge you for virtual office services after your lease expires and for renewal of the office even if the office is in the same shape as when you started your lease.
They are a bunch incompetent fools
Virtual offices
Regus are a joke, they are fantastic at getting people in the door with all their "special" offers though that would appear to be the only way they can get clients through the door, due to the amount of complaints I hear about them these days, and even then they do not deliver on what they promise! They lie through their teeth to get people on board and customer service would appear to be bottom of their list of priorities! They put you in contracts that are near on impossible to get out of with their fantastic "auto renew" service and they have a 3 month notice period, I saw a quote one here which stated regus are the like the hotel california, you can check in but you can never leave, fantasic and very very true. If flexibilty is what your after forget them! Their call charges are through the roof, if you are considerig getting phone answering with them... Dont, they just do not value existing clients! The moment they have you through the door, they could not give toss about you.in fact it took me 4 days to get someone from their customer service team to call me back but they were sure as hell happy to take my money and insist I setup the same day I called! Avoid regus like the plague, do not be sucked in by their cheap prices and setup costs! Trust me for the poor service you are almost guaranteed to receive it is not worth it.

I did receive my deposit after more than 12 months.
I Agree. Regus, to date, is taking more than 12 months to refund my deposit. We had a rather good "stay" and read the contracts and understood all the terms and ended the contract before the renew. We were sent screenshots of our Deposit Refunds that were loaded and approved and that we should expect it in a max of 10 days. It is now a month after that conversation - still nothing. Well done Regus! I was planning to use your services again but now that is down the drain.
Regus is a complete hack job. Sure, they will say and do anything selling a "cheaper" high end office suite. They have the worst customer service and the bogus 3-month auto renew is a scam to ensure you can't get out of your lease. Where in the world is there a 3-month auto lease contract. I didn't get one email for months, and I had no idea about an auto renew as I received zero communication concerning such a ridiculous clause. Free parking offered for a year was only reason I took an office over just doing a virtual. The up charges and kitchen entities are about the stupidest thing I've ever seen, but for a company with no morales what do you expect?
I have similar experience with Regus, though my case is in China and it's office space rental. More specifically, my bad experience is related to their Tianjin office. They are extremely good at wooing a potential customer and promised office items that you would need but later they wouldn't deliver. They first let me view an office furbished with racks, a writing table, a desk and a lamp. But on the day I moved in, they let me wait and took out everything but the desk and the chair. I told them that their manager told me these items were part of the package, but they said they were for rent only. When I asked for how much as I needed them, they said, they belonged to another client. They have contract provisions that automatically renew any office rent for another term if not cancelled three months in advance for long term rentals. When I notified them I would like to cancel it they told me I also need to sign a document stating the reasons why I wanted to cancel. The manager promised to send me a template to sign but I never heard from her for the next 1+ month. When I emailed her again, I got no more replies again. This is how Regus treats their customers.
Know their scamming strategy
I was scammed by a loan company named Regus Investment Group. They say they are located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401. The phone # is [protected]. I was told by a Tina Bishop ext. 230 that I qualified for a loan but that I would have to send $800 via western union as colateral. I have never done something like this before but I was desperate. Needless to say the next day Tina called me to tell me that I needed to send more to secure the loan and I refused. She said she would send the money back to me via mail and that I should get it within 7 to 30 days. This was on November 25th. It has now been over 6 weeks. I have been calling there office for 2 weeks now and have not recieved a call back. I should have gone with my instincts and never accepted the offer but like I said I was desperate and now I am out $800. I need help in reporting these people. I am now more in debt because of this. I have documents that I signed regarding this loan and these people have my personal info. They have my bank account number and social security number along with my home address, work address, etc. I feel like such a fool. I have read tons of stories about people who have been scammed and I feel there pain.
Hidden renewal clauses and misleading info by reps
Good morning. I've read what happened to jeff in the us and I am sad to say that the same situation is happening to me right now in buenos aires, argentina. The hidden 3 month virtual office fee/contract renewal that, after the 12 month contract i've signed, regus try to charge me. Nobody seems to take over my complaint that started as soon as I received...

Was offered job position of customer service rep. From home & online. Will have 2 weeks training probation which I was to be paid $900.00/week. Duties included data entry and collecting rental payments from
Europe. I had to submit western union or money gram locations for payments to be transmitted to or send them my personal bank information for these funds to be deposited to & I in turn would have to transfer these funds to them. Seriously? Of course when I questioned this practice, I did not get a response from dan bernstein (Hr) or alice cowen (Financial manager) who was supposed to be "training" me during the 2 week probation period. Please, please do not be suckered in to their unethical practices. During these hard economic times, it's a shame that companies prey on people who are so eager to get jobs that this sort of practice is intolerable.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
I am a complete idiot! I actually applied to this position on 'craigs list' and was excited to get it. I was told like everyone else that I would have two weeks probation. I unfortunately did a whole week of data entry but was told on the first Friday that Mrs. Coven was in a car accident. I was waiting for a transfer, that thank GOD never went through, and I never received the paycheck I was promised either. Whats crazy is I did all my home work, and even called the company located at that address, and someone from Regus answered the phone. It was only after asking a few questions that I discovered that it was not the same company, and that they had never heard of Daniel Barstein. I have turned down two very good job offers, for a scam. I really hope this never happens to anyone else. I did manage to keep copies of all of the emails, and I have filed a complaint with the BBB, and the FBI just today. I have to say, I am a very careful person, but this was a very elaborate scam. I can't believe I fell for this too. : - (
Thanks everyone for posting your experiences. They offered me a position via e-mail just 10 hours after I submitted my resume and references. At least I now not to give them any more. One thing I noticed that tipped me off to do further research is that their website has no "www" which makes it an internal site they maintain through private servers. The fact that everything they linked to was based on this site said to me that all these companies they are referencing are not involved. In fact, I would like to contact those companies and let them know so they are not embroiled. Best of luck to everyone in their search.
I have been doing data entry for the last 2 days, I opened a new account like Kevin did to make sure that they couldn't access my personal bank account. What an idiot I am! Thanks everyoneb for the information, I should have done my research sooner. Thankfully they have not deposited any money and I haven't gotten into the same situation as Kevin. I will cancel the account as soon as I sign off here. How stupid could I be!
I just want to thank all of you who wrote about this "company". I also received a job offer without first applying or having any sort of interview. I searched the name provided & found all of your commentary. Thanks again. Hitting delete on that one - Best wishes to all of you in your employment searches!
Omg I'm at the library now printing up contracts for them im so glad somebody posted these lord I was just too suscpicious craiglist has got to do some investigating honest people looking for honest things its terrible!
Be careful everyone! I admit, I was naive and just plain stupid. After, what I thought, I was asking all the right questions...Alice and Dan gave me false Tax Ids and on their information, told me they were a part of the reputable Regus that rents out office space around the world, had me do a few days of data entry and just to be safe I opened a new account to do this transfer business. All along my gut told me no but I tried it anyway. Luckily as a new account, none of my money was in there. They put funds in...I made one transfer and today Western Union called me to tell me the funds may be fraudulent/stolen. Then another fake company they said was putting funds in my account for another training assignment tried to take out...not put in... over $6000.00 from my account...which there was none because I opened a buisness account for this. My bank and western Union are starting investigations and said I may need to work with the police and let them access my computer emails. I feel so stupid and have spent my entire day trying to fix things. No one from this Regus Realty will respond to any emails. DO NOT GET INVOLVED, I'm embarrassed that I did! My bank called me thinking there was fraudulent activity thank the good Lord, and cancelled the account!
Mary Jane, please post your findings after you call the building. I think I have made a grave mistake in believing that they might actually be legitimate. I quit my part-time job thinking I was making a good decision. these scam postings were not available before I turned in my resignation. I actually couldn't find any complaints about the regus realty until Csims posted her compliant on the 27 of this month.
I was solicited by them two days ago, and agreed for further information. I was presented with the EXACT same information, and did my research as far as location and what not... I was even skeptical regarding the quality of their website. I also typed in their name into several search engines and could not get an exact reponse to "Regus Realty", nor were they listed as a tenant in that building (in which I planned on calling in the morning anyways.)
I may be in the same boat...did you go any further than that. They are not respomding to my emails and questions either. I should have known if it's too good to be true it probably is.
Thank you so much for posting this! They tried to get me today too.
Abusive practices - arbitrary charges
I agree with most of the complaints presented here. Regus "terms and conditions" mention services for which the fees are in their "house rules". The business continuity service is one of those ripoffs regus pulls. We are being charged 52% of our monthly office rent for a period of 3 months after the termination of our contract.
Beware also of the telecommunications and internet charges - which are another ripoff, as well as the $30/mont/person fee they charge for providing coffee.
Thank you so much for your warning. I just received an offer from them today, although the job description does not mention collecting any funds. It says it's an at home administrative assistant position. It will be interesting to see what they tell me. I did do a reverse look up on their phone numbers and both the office phone and fax number come up as non published landlines in Chicago. If you're running a business why would you have non-published phone numbers?
Angela Atlanta
Terms & conditions & contract tie in
I set up a mail forwarding service for my company with Regus and after finding it difficult to pay their high charges and learning of service providers now offering the same service for a fraction of the price, I wrote to Regus to cancel my contract - only to be informed: -
"You have just been automatically renewed for another year from the 1st of October to the 30th of September 2011, this is because we didn't receive your termination letter in time we would have needed to receive it 3 months prior to your end date. This is stated on the back of your contract in the terms and conditions."
I actually never received a contract from this company and I certainly don't have any terms and conditions from them that state this. Furthermore, to not even send a reminder to me that my account was to be renewed is criminal and now I have to pay their ever increasing costs for another year.
This company is over priced and their so-called terms and conditions are criminal - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH REGUS - they have really bad business practises and treat their clients very badly indeed.
Regus have quite the reputation for treating their clients badly...hopefully they'll go out of business soon.

FedUp -- Whoa! Nobody has a right to charge your credit card without authorization. You will win this fight, hands down. The advantage of using a credit card over cash is that you have recourse. Call your credit card company and let them deal with these jerks. It's very important that you involve your credit card company in these matters. It's not just your best chance of getting your money back (you can file a small claims suit), but it ensures that thieves are reported and that they risk losing their credit card processing privileges. That a win for all consumers.
By the way, never trust a guy named "Chris Woods" (the company rep who responded to you in the comment section). Maybe it's a different person, but that name is well known in the fraud arena.
Hidden fees misleading info by reps
I signed up with Regus in May 2010 with a 1 year agreement. I was told a lot of different things that did not add up in my first billing cycle. The Area manager Judy is very misleading. She told me that they had a 6 month clause stating that if you need to cancel your term agreement before your contract ends that they have a clause that would allow you out depending on the circumstances. When I called Judy to ask about the clause because my job is ending in December of 2010, she told me that she did not add that clause in my contract, after she had told me I had the option. When I complained, she just simply hung up the phone. I called what I thought was the corporate office and talked to a gentlemen that said, someone would call me within 72 hours. I received a call from a lady that heard me out and stated she would call Judy. I called for 2 days to get the results there was no answer. The number that the lady called me from was a personal cell phone. I called from a different number other than my own and suprisingly she answered. She stated that the 6 month clause is not built into my contract that they have to create a seperate clause agreement. When I responed that's what I was told I have she stated Judy said that she remembers mentioning it to me but she did not add the clause. I will not fold and pay these scam artist without a fight. It's a lot easier for me being some of my family members are lawyers but this has to be stopped. Anyone wanting to take this to the next level with these scammers count me in.
I appreciate the advise about the Virtual Transition fee and the hidden 3 month auto renewal clause. I do not have mail sent to the office nor do I use the phone. I will wait to see if they try and charge me with those fees.

Hah Hi what do you know about this Chris Woods? The guy who says he is with Regus in customer service (Group social media manager) Title sounds very suspect . When I asked Regus for Customer Service department they said they do not have one (surprise surpise, that would mean that they would actually have to deal with customers)! Not something Regus like doing. Regards Millie Brown
Good morning. I've read what happened to you in teh US and I am sad to say that THE SAME situation is happening to me right now in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The hidden 3 month Virtual office fee that, after the 12 month contract I've signed, they try to charge me. In addition to that nobody seems to take action on that. the GM who sold me the 12 month package is aroind the office all the time and say nothing about this even when I copied him in my several emails. Someone from somewhere answer my emails in a rude way saying that I have to paid what I've signed (in fact the contract is in english and is not clear whatsoever about thiis) That's not the point because Istated very cleary that my commintment was for a campus office for 12 month. what surpirsed me is that the modus operandis is being exactly as you stated. EXACTLY so, I asumme that this situation is not a punctual one but a general scam where they want to beat you by tireness (as we say here).
can you tell me how your "story" ended?
At least I do not feel lonely in this frustrating and awful situation.
Regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina
Ines Arditto
Jeff - First of all, don't worry. You will win this one very easily, and there is no need for a class action suit. The first step is to always contact your credit card company. They can dispute the fraudulent charge, report the questionable business to visa, mastercard, etc., and creat a formal report. Chances are very good that your credit card company will be the one call you have to make to correct this problem.
One key thing you mention is that they have acknowledged discussing the cancellation clause, but just failed to include it. The fact that you discussed it and they recall that is probably good enough for you to win the argument.
By the way, be careful of anybody named "Chris Woods". It might be a different person, but fraud seems to follow that name.
Billing scam fraudulent charges
Signed up for virtual office mailbox service was signed up for an additional account without my authorization getting billed for services they have not rendered. Avoid these people like the plague. Charging my credit card and sending invoices double billing. What a mess!!
Read full review of Regus and 21 commentsSly business practices
Regus reminds me of Hotel California, you can check in anytime but you just cant leave.
The business practices followed by the company are sharp to the extent of being sly.
I took the office space for 5 people, I signed and paid the money. To my surprise I found that I have some other room allotted to me which just can’t accomodate 5 people. It looks smaller in size. The fire escape diagram confirmed my belief that the place was only meant for 4 people.
The answer from Regus’ Not-Yet-Turned-Devil Salesman was "Sorry you negotiated too much so I gave you an office which fitted your budget."
A 4 Seater in the name of 5! And the Salesman thought this was an unnecessary detail which need not be mentioned.
The internet connection was not as good as we thought, so we decided to get it removed. We learnt "Sir you may not use it but it will still be billed"
As time passed, I realized that the agreement was totally out of sync with what I was sweet talked into by NOW-A-COMPLETE-DEVIL Salesman.
To be honest, I did not read the agreement very carefully, because we had lengthy discussion with the salesperson where he "explained" everything.
READ THE FINE PRINT IN THEIR CONTRACT.
The Hidden Charges and Exit VO fees was conveniently hidden in the fine text of the agreement. There is nothing like SPIRIT in the agreement, just the LETTER.
Earlier I thought this was an INDIA only problem but I am surprised to see how they have managed to systematically defraud people across the globe.
As I think about the whole experience more rationally, I think:
1. Bigger (Deep Pocketed) Companies will not have a problem with this. They might also have a lawyer review the agreement etc.
2. Small Companies which act on "Good Faith" are the real victims. They are conveniently used by Regus to fill up the office space to meet sales target and then conveniently pushed around.
The Total Cost of Ownership after taking into account hidden charges and the pain of reasoning out with Regus is just not worth the trouble.
BEWARE OF THIS COLD BLOODED BLOOD-SUCKING CORPORATION.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I can attest to the same treatment and experience. Small business are used to fill up space until someone bigger and more money in their pockets comes around then the small business get pushed around and pushed out. It is blatantly discriminatory. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed how small business are treated by this company.
i have recently business center in islamabad.very very disappointed as business world member and as we are regus serviced office client in uk.
islamabad centre in Pakistan is very awkward when i reach there they didnt greet well.GM there told that there is no business lounge facility even though regus mentioned on their website and they charge for internet which are very high and also they will charge for any tea or coffee which is very ridiclous as GM was telling rates like coffe shop and he is more interested to charge for tea and internet rather than office .
Over the internet they mentioned the services are free of cost as also agreed by regus Business world card holder and on enquiry he informed that to use any of business world facility i have to ask their regional head office in dubai to send them email to let us use any services.which is totally not helpful.it feels like i went there to buy the cup of tea not as a business customer.
- total fake pictures of Islamabad centre on their website
- no business lounge available
- no think pods available
- internet is also not free
- tea / coffee is also charged
- No number has been posted on their website for the center and i have to ask karachi office to give the number for islamabad centre as address is also very difficult to find
- rates of day offices / monthly rental are very high and not according to the local market ( i wonder why they setup offices in local market and not totally check the other office prices in the market which are available at 100 % better prices )
Let me tell you up front: Regus is garbage.
I have been there for 3 months, and from day one I have had issues with the management and administrative team. For starters, you pay $100 for each individual internet line which is basically capped at 2.5 Mbps. For comparison, I have 20 Mbps (practically 10x faster) at my apartment for $40 a month! Meanwhile, they offer free wireless in the offices for those who may be traveling and staying there. for the wireless internet, it is 3Mbps (fast than the $100/month required "option").
And most importantly, their cancellation policy just $@#$^T me over. They claim they are there to help bolster your business productivity, but if you make a mistake they will charge you for it. For example, I asked them to "cancel" a reservation unaware that I could "reschedule" it instead. And for the semantic discrepancy, they are trying to charge me the booking fee of $150+ for the office. If I would have simply said "reschedule" I would be fine... And of course, they did not tell me that at the time.
I could go on and on. But I will just leave it at that for now. Garbage.
I agree with JRomulus. I will admit, I worked for this company for several years and many times we encountered many instructions from corporate which we considered unethical. In fact, I got into a tiff with upper management one day during a meeting because I was concerned about our business practices and about employee dissatisfaction with them (upper management). Naturally, she desperately tried to change the subject...Its employees are very unhappy with upper management. We heard many complaints from clients but our hands were tied because of corporate restrictions. Simply put, I would not recommend this company for employment or business.
I am sure there are people/companies who have a satisfactory relationship with Regus, but the complaints about their policies and business approach have been extremely numerous and consistent over the years.
Two years ago, I read all of the same negative comments and decided to try them for personal office space. At the time, I informed my sales rep of the timeframe for which I needed the service. I received invoices and paid, and when I was done, I was done.
But not Regus' collection activities. Six months after I was done with the service I purchases, I started getting bills for unused office space/services that totaled thousands of dollars. Each time I did, I called, emailed or wrote to Dallas (US Headquarters) who said they'd take care of it, and never did.
This company is absolutely scary to deal with, at best they are either completely disorganized and incompetent or they are flat out crooked. Either way, I'll never do business with them again. Lesson learned.
What a load of crap these posts are, completely subjective. I.E. "Eximtrade" (obviously don't have the guts to provide your real name and have deleted it from the signed section of the email) did you receive a reply and if so, why haven't you posted it and were you happy with the outcome?
I've personally had very good experience using Regus in every respect. I'm a management consultant who requires flexible working solutions and they fit the bill. This entire website seems all a bit one sided! Are any of these posts actually checked for validity? If these sites were worthy they would take full name and contact details for disclosure before allowing posts to be made. There are a lot of unscrupulous competitor companies posting and paying people to post on these types of sites. READERS BEWARE AND SKEPTICAL.

To,
The Regus Head Office,
22 Grenville Street, St. Helier, Jersey, JE4 8PX.,
26, Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg
Kind Attn. : Andrew Brown, Group Communications Director, T. +[protected] +[protected] ; M. +[protected] +[protected]
Regarding : Complaint about Regus Delhi Office.
Dear Sir/Madam,
We had good experience in having relationship with Regus USA.
We start to use the services in New Delhi India from September 01, 2009 where since beginning we are having problems. The people working at Regust, Jasola Office are totally unaware about Regus's service culture, very prompt to ask money without providing any service.
We would like to submit as follows:--
1. Two Month Free Service:
Without giving us dedicated tel no.fax no. the Delhi office has started the service from September First 2009. They inform our tel/fax no. only in October, 2009. There is a need to recorrect the service contract and paid service should start from Nov.2009 and keep October as free.
Second month service will be given at the end of the contract.
2. No records of call/fax :-As per our request we asked Regus New Delhi to send us caller/fax details by email as the undersigned always travelling, the Delhi office never informed by email. infect they dial my overseas no. They never keep any person to answer the call, pl. call this no. [protected]
3. Never Honored their Promise:- It is a fact that due to my regular continuous stay in USA, I am not able to use the Regust New Delhi, so I requested to freeze/suspend for 3 months. They confirmed and asked the payment of Jan/Feb 2010, but after I paid the money they refused to freeze and suspend. (enclosed the copies of email)
We, therefore, have no other option but to discontinue based on ABOVE EXPLAINED reasons. No service, no email from Regus Delhi, since beginning they are not answering our telephones. most of Indian clients never leave any message in voice mail like western countries. Regus Delhi is only interested to charge money without providing their servicers. The customers are cheated due to Regus Brand but there is no commitment for services like Regus Global.
We are totally frustrated with regus New Delhi since very beginning, instead of extending good service, keeping their promise for freezing account, they just trying to forfeit our deposit, which shows that they are not interested to give services and they are not efficient to give services.
We are facing same issues with the Regus office in India. BEWARE OF THESE GUYS. I would never trust a word they say. They tell outright lies, and then they present you something completely different in writing! We had told their sales agent that we are a software development company and we need a specific amount of bandwidth. Their sales agent Naman lied to us in our face, to 3 people, that they have a bandwidth of 5 Mbps. Then we found out that the center has a bandwidth of 2 Mbps. Not only that, because it was shared, we get about 7Kbps! Nothing can get pushed through.
When we tried to resolve this matter, we called the sales agent, the center manager, then we were told that they will take care of the issue. Then they totally ignored the problem. We called their corporate office in US. Talked to Patty Cronin, their Director of Operations in US. She bounced us off to someone else, Rahul Walia, Then he told us that someone else by the name of Medhusudan Thakur (he never called!), then we were told that Michael Ormiston from their Asia Pacific division will be contacting us. Well, we did talk to him, and what he promised us on the phone and what we got from him, was a classic bait and switch!
BEWARE OF THESE GUYS is not enough!
Hidden charges/inefficient billing
I recently signed an agreeement with Regus-move-in date is December, and I have had ongoing problems with the billing department as well as having discovered that I am locked into a 3-month virtual office agreement post-my tenancy ending. Specifically, though I provided the billing department with my credit card details for my deposit, they still have not deducted the amount from my c. card. Though I e-mailed and posted my direct debit mandate form back to them in September, still, no direct debit has been set up as of yet. Instead, I received an invoice for December with two late payment fees on it! Two late payment fees I refuse to pay, given I provided Regus with all the information they needed in order to take the necessary payment, yet they failed to do so.
My recent problem that prompted this complaint is that, to my horror, I stumbled across numerous on-line negative write-up's on Regus, by Regus tenants, specifically, re-the hidden charges, the most common one being the 3-month automatic VO agreement. I decided to look at my T & C today and to my horror, see that I may have signed up for a 3-month VO agreement after my current lease ends. I find this so dishonest of Regus because when I signed my agreement, the only charges put on my agreement were the ones I agreed to-my area sales manager did not mention a VO agreement. I need to explain that I am a sole trader, I earn about £40, 000/year (before deducting my expenses). I am not a big corporate company and simply can't afford a VO agreement that I did not agree to, or need. It is wrong to assume that all Regus tenants will need a VO. I have no need for one. My Centre Manager will not be answering my calls-I take all of my own calls due to the nature of my work. I am not one of theit big clients, and I feel strongly that their contracts should be modified according to their tenant's needs and more importantly to their income. I am now wondering if signing my agreement was the biggest business mistake I have made thus far. I am a small company and find the hidden charges most dishonest. This is no way to welcome a new tenant.

I totally agree. I had the same problem with Regus Palm Beach. I tried to cancel my contract and the person in charge always had an excuse. I am very disappointed with their service.
Hi
I totally agree! I moved into the Slough one and 3 weeks in they moved me to the Bath Road one which is behind my house! Surely they would have known they were closing down...I wouldnt have signed up to move 5 mins from my house! I had a tiny office, no phone and no post as I simply wanted to see whether I would need an office as I am a young person and said to myself, if it doesnt work, then you can always leave.
Well I've just been billed £740 for a VO. Why...I could pick up my post if I ever get any...I received 2 letters and one parcel in 3 months and I dont get visitors as I visit my clients. Its an absolute con! I guess you don't realise it till you actually want to leave. I can't justify handing over this money when its a 5 min walk from my house! I feel like taking this to Watchdog.
The area sales manager completely failed to mention this. I kept saying is that it...no hidden fees and he said there would be none. More the fool me for not understanding that section on the T&Cs. I am a start up and there is no way I can throw this kind of money on them doing nothing in an empty space.
Do let me know if you're successful in this. I shall talk to the head of Slough Estates, Watchdog and whoever as this is totally unacceptable as I dont need a VO, and neither do hundreds of other frustrated business owners!
Could you please clarify which Regus Centre are you refering? I am sure that Regus will be happy to clarify this issue with the centre Manager
Criminal activity being carried on from regus offices
Regus provide office space, virtual offices and mailbox services. Numerous boilerroom scam companies work from these addresses. A boiler room scam normally involves cold calling people and hard selling worthless shares, however they also call genuine shareholders and offer to buy their shares at a premium but requesting a fee up front, when the fee is paid it is stolen.
Regus facilitate this criminal activity by allowing these companies to operate from their offices. Many of the companies are the subject of warnings from regulators in the UK, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, New Zealand and Australia. An e mail complaint to Regus about this matter has not been answered.
The following offices are commonly used, a search of the office address followed by the word 'scam' will return numerous hits. These scams have been operating for several years from Regus offices. This is not an exhaustive list.
14 Rue Du Rhone, Geneva
Seefeldstrasse 69, Zurich
18 Ave Louis Casai, Geneva

I went to the school first pharmacy and they never help me find a job. Ne error call just took my money and ran. Ne er kept In touch . How do I get on this law suit.
There is a movement afoot by greedy and abusive landlords in New York City to skirt, avoid and diminish the protections afforded to Tenants by State Landlord-Tenant Law in the form of “corporate housing schemes” and “virtual office arrangements, ” whereby these landlords obtain the full protection and advantages of being landlords, but do not comply with the rules and laws of Notice Requirements, Court Proceedings, Eviction Procedures, Warranties of Habitability and Safety, and other restrictions on Landlord misconduct.
If they are allowed to continue in this manner, tenants will quickly devolve into peasants on feudal landowner property, and this is a horrendous and devastating development for people, especially in these trying economic times.
Some of these virtual corporate office entities, after one has established a businesses there, engage in the following acts of misconduct: (1) do not give notices to pay rent; (2) do not give the tenant enough time to pay; (3) bar tenants from the premises with no recourse; (4) abruptly and without warning turn off the tenant’s heat water and electricity; (5) threaten and intimidate tenants to leave the premises with no warning; (6) refuse to accept or deliver or forward legal and regular and business mail; (7) harass and threaten tenants on a regular basis to drive them out as a tenant; and (8) other acts of serious and egregious misconduct.
In the case of corporate furnished apartments, landlords routinely: (1) threaten tenants with the abrupt turning off of heat/electricity/cable/internet/hot water if tenants don’t them large quantities of cash money without even showing tenants an invoice for either; (2) price gouge tenants regularly without telling them what they are paying for; (3) charge sometimes 100% more for an apartment unit than its fair market value; (4) take advantage of tenant’s bad credit history by doing the above; (5) threatens tenants verbally and harasses them and treats tenants like peasants with no rights; (6) trapse through tenant apartments with no warning or notice because the landlord often refuses to let tenants change the locks; (7) often spies on tenants using undetectable wiretapping and video recording mechanisms without letting tenants know; (8) and other horrible conduct of a landlord.
If you see or hear or observe any of these types of behavior patterns from unscrupulous and immoral landlords, you are invited and implored to report these entities to Housing & Urban Development (“HUD”), the NY Attorney General, NY FBI, and other agencies such as 311 and Housing Preservation Development (“HPD”), but since they apparently are not doing very much about it, it appears that all tenants’ rights in NYC are being eroded and destroyed by these often international foreign based companies, who are attempting to undo and unwind the landlord-tenant protections of the United States of America and New York City afforded by the Real Property laws.
We are a small media company that needed an office so that we can conduct our business in a professional manner. Regus offered us a virtual office plan with 5 hours of conference room time as well as mail handling and voice receptionist for $220 a month. Also, by contract, we were told that they would include our name in the business directory at no charge. Initially, after the first month of billing, they charged us for the business directory fee and began charging all these other fees that were not stated in the agreement. They also told us that they would NEVER tell our clients that they were a virtual office, but a part of our company and I heard from several sources that they in fact told our clients that they were an answering service. Also, they did not answer the phone as they were supposed to on a regular basis and a couple of times all my voice mails were wiped out. After this happened, I started directing my clients to reach me at alternative locations and reduced the amount of mail handling that would come to the office. Nevertheless, we were charged about $500 a month for fees that did not exist. If we were late on payment for a week, they would shut off the service and voicemail theatening me and charging a $45 late fee. I have never experienced this and feel extorted as a small business and am very angry and distraught by this. I want people to know what happened so that this doesn't happen to you. If you are in need of a virtual office, STAY AWAY FROM THEM! THEY ARE CROOKS, CRIMINALS AND LIARS!. God help you if you sign with them.
Employee
I currently work for this place and I have never worked for a more dishonest and dysfunctional place in all of my life. If I did not need this job I would have walked months ago. I have read most of the complaints and can verify that yes, they nickle and dime, they lie, they cheat and if you are not management you are nothing. The work never stops piling up, there is no training and the pay is horrid. I have never seen more drama and all lead by the infamous ms. Brown. There are no processes in place, nothing to prevent incorrect billing and no one to protect the few that work hard just to get small pay. I worry everyday about the place closing because I see first hand what they do to clients, I feel bad for how they treat not only clients but good people. I search everydayfor a better career, this place has killed my spirit... Never sign anything with this place!

Hi there, i work at Regus too and i totally agree with everything that you mentioned. When i first started working there, i did not get enough training yet the management team expects me to work like i'm psychic. I don't even want to start mentioning the amount of work that we are made to do as CSRs for the management team. Some of them work from home and we are made to do their jobs for them but nobody cares enough to give us a raise. A friend of mine has been with Regus for 3 years and she has never had a raise...why should i stick around seriously? Are you still with Regus?

Office rental
To Whoever reads this posting: Regus are without doubt the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. I have terminated my contract with them, following meetings and agreed a final date to leave the office - what I didnt count on was that REGUS decided to continue billing me for a smaller amount well after I left the following month. I intend to get that back.
As a side note; The first sentence from the sales rep (a rather snotty and bullshy sales rep), made it very clear that if I should decide not to pay, they will use every means to get payment and then offered me a smaller office at lower rent. I told them they may need to brush up on their sales technique.
STAY AWAY FROM REGUS.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Well,
There is something in small prints in regus contract that they will automatically put you on virtual office plan when you leave and the terms dont let you leave even.
Regus buildings, office facilities are un-doubetly excellent, however their billing department, Operations Staff absolutely dont have any co-ordination and seems to be doing 9-5 only. They will deliberately put charges on your account. Will take for ever to resolve that, not to mention late payment fee on those charges. On re-solution, there will be a selective memory not to issue any credit-notes to your account. 2 Months down the line, start every thing over again. (I am in the third round now).
I am getting impression that this behaviour is deliberately promoted from senior management where in customers will loose patience and end up paying. If they leave, the terms will still get money out of them. Either way they win.
I am existing tenant there in Regus Stockley park, and have many friends who are experiencing similar situation.

Business continuation fee
I signed a 3 month lease with regus for $ 540.00 with a $ 370 deposit upfront. I was informed that I could move in half a month early and will be pro-rated the difference. Regus apparently doesn't count mid months towards your lease term so in realty I ended up paying for 3.5 months on my 3 month lease and belive me they charged me every penny. When I asked the office manager if they had an extra white board lying around that I could use temporarly, they showed up at my office the next day with a brand new board, later to only find out they charged me on my invoice for the cost. $ 75.00 for something I could have bought for $ 20.00. Never was my rent anywhere near $ 540.00 always ranging from 600-800 for some extra charges on whatever they can make up at the time. On my last invoice I was informed that I will be charged a business continuation fee for $ 828.00 which was never explained or drawn out when I signed up, only to find out it was written in very small print, but never drawling out the cost of this service or what was involved. I had to close the business and sure didn't need regus to send me mail or phone calls for a company that was no longer open. Finally I never recieved my deposit back and informed that the office needed new paint and carpet cleaning which completely drains your deposit. Remember this is an office that I was hardly in and I kept it in perfect condition. I highly doubt any paint or carpeting was ever done. This is just another way for regus to take as much money from the consumer as possible.
Take my advice.. Stay away from regus and rent elsewhere. They are dis-honest and provide poor customer service. You will be charged, ripped off and scammed in every possible way. Better off renting a office that is upfront about all charges and don't use bait and switch tatics.

Scam billing practice
Unethical contract and billing practice. You find out at the end of the contract term that iIn the very fine print they say you will be billed for "virtual office" services for 3 months for forwarding mail. If you are fortunate to have read this in the first place, you would assume this would be some kind of nominal charge related to costs. NO! For three people we got billed $850 per month for this. And by the way they din't even HAVE our forwarding address so they were doing nothign for this. AND THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE OR EMAILS THEY JUST KEEP BILLING WITH NO OTHER COMMUNICATION POSSIBLE. This is the most unprofessional and unethical business I have ever dealth with, or tried to deal with...
