Mixed Experiences at Zaxby's
As someone who appreciates a good chicken meal, I've had mixed experiences at Zaxby's. While some visits left me satisfied with hot and crispy fries and great service, others were disappointing. On one occasion, the food was cold, the fries lacked flavor, and the chicken wings were bland. The inconsistency in quality and service makes it hard to rely on Zaxby's for a consistently enjoyable dining experience. If you're in the mood for chicken, it might be worth giving them a try, but be prepared for potential ups and downs.
Horrible Customer Service

I ordered my food through the drive thru due to the fact that I was on my way home from an Urgent Care facility and was in my pajamas. My husband called me on my cell phone and asked if I could stop at Zaxby’s and get dinner. I really did not want to, but he was also sick at home. He asked to get 2 Big Zax Snack Meal with Ranch Dipping Sauce, a strawberry Dr Pepper, Diet Coke and Cheddar Bites. While I was waiting in line, my husband called me and stated to not get the drinks or the appetizer. When I got to the Cashier, she advised me that it was going to be a certain amount, and I kindly advised her that I did not want to get the drinks or the appetizer. She gave me this extreme Sigh and slammed the drive thru window. She came back and said it was the same amount, and I kindly advised her that she did not take off the drinks or the appetizer. She got mad again. She reopened the window and gave me the correct amt to pay. I kindly handed her my gift card. When she reopened the window, she tossed me my food, which fell on the floor, she threw me my gift card and receipt at me and I noticed that instead of giving me the Ranch Sauce, they gave me Zax Sauce instead. I told her that they gave me the incorrect sauce, and I literally thought that she was going to blow a gasket. The cashier did not have a name tag on. All I know is she was an African American lady, probably a teenager. I asked to speak to the manager, and she stated that he was not available. I got home and the chicken fingers were cold, someone put too much seasoning salt on the fries and my H/I were eating the salt rather than the fries and the toast was totally black and disgusting. We ended up having throw it away. I immediately called the restaurant and a lady answered the phone and asked me if I was placing an order for pick up, and I stated No. I told her that I needed to speak with the manager. She asked me to hold while she transferred me over. Unfortunately, I got D/C and I had to call back 2 more times still getting D/C. I was so sick that I told my husband that I would have to call back or send a Written Review. My H/I had the Flu, and we stayed in bed all day Friday. I tried to go onto
myzaxbysfeedback.com this morning, and I never could get a Validation Code. I use to work in the restaurant industry, and there was not a current grade report. Not only was this cashier was rude but she mumbled underneath her breath and calling me a “[censored].” I did not do anything wrong to be talked to like that. Consistently Bad
I'm reviewing the Walterboro, SC location. This location is close to my place of employment, and it has went down hill over the past 6-8 months. The place is dirty. The floor is nasty. The tables are nasty. The sidewalk is black from grease. The exterior has not been cleaned in awhile. The drink machine is gross. The food is burnt. Burnt toast. Burnt egg rolls. The salad is missing half the ingredients because the "prep" people didn't come in. So I'm paying full price for a salad that is missing cucumbers, tomatoes, and burnt toast. I have noticed there has been a big turn over in employees, and obviously no one cares at this point. People at my job all say the same thing. It's a bad experience. Only thing keeping the numbers up at this location is it's right off I-95 and tourist don't know until they are already in there. It's bad now. I don't complain, but someone needs to tighten up this location.
Recommendation: There's better options in this town.

My daughter worked at Zaxby's on Travel Center BLVD. Dublin, GA. She quit because of non-payment of time worked. She worked two pay periods and she haven't gotten her pay. I (Mother) has spoken to 2 different managers with promises of a call back but I still haven't heard anything. I also called Corporate and the lady apologize and told me to stay on it. I am complaining about the service at the Gainesville Location 68401. It was taking a extremely long time to receive my order. I asked for my money back so I could get to work. The manager refused to refund my money saying my order was on the way. It was not. I told her I need to get to work and just give me my money back. She then accused me of calling her woman. I never did this and all the other associates and customer looked at me some even commenting what got into her I soon got my food. The manager of the Zaxby's was cordial and professional. Unfortunately, I observed one particular individual that was very unprofessional and rude to customers.
