Mixed Experiences with Walgreens
As a regular customer of Walgreens, I have had mixed experiences with their services. While the convenience of their locations and the variety of products they offer are commendable, there have been instances where the service fell short of expectations. One particular incident involved a prescription that was supposed to be eligible for same-day delivery, but the delivery was delayed significantly, causing inconvenience and frustration. Despite some positive aspects like free shipping and a wide range of beauty products, the inconsistency in service quality is a concern. It's essential for Walgreens to address these issues to ensure a more reliable and customer-friendly experience for all patrons.
Never disappointed me
I have been using Vision Direct for 5+ years now, and I have been continually satisfied. Just this week I ordered one year's supply of contacts and contact solution for only $125 (picture attached), and I received the products within 4 days.
(+) They have the top-brand products (Alcon, CIBA Vision, Acuvue, Bausch & Lomb, etc.). They aren't rip-off versions or anything fake.
(+) They verify the prescription for you, by contacting your eye doctor
(+) Great products, fast shipping
(-) Website design is not amazing
(-) Their website stores old information, so this may cause issues when trying to apply coupon codes (but you can get it fixed right away if you call customer service)
Jerome Etzel - 10 star employee of the year!
I have never experienced superb customer service like I received from Jerome Etzel. He is a masterful photo expert with Walgreens at *** Nine Eagles Dr. in Tampa, Florida. I couldn't retrieve precious 3 generation photos from my cellphone and Jerome saved the day. He installed a memory chip in my phone that was missing. Took his phone and researched how to get the phone to release the pictures to Walgreen's equipment. Jerome's persistence and expertise brought back pictures of my 98 yr. Old Mom with my sister and daughter and my deceased precious dog. These photos would have been lost forever without his thoughtfulness and diligence. I am most grateful to Jerome and Walgreens for hiring such an exceptional person.

I don't know how drugstore.com delivers orders so quickly
I don't know how drugstore.com delivers orders so quickly. I'm prompted to write this review today, Tuesday mid-afternoon, because I just opened my package of items I ordered on-line on Sunday, late afternoon. Drugstore.com does this so consistently that I even order items from them that I'm in a hurry to get. In addition, I have found that drugstore.com has items that I can't find anywhere else, e.g., Glad Handle Tie trashbags, and a particular nail polish remover I like. In general the prices at drugstore.com are on par with my local stores, although, when drugstore.com has items on sale, they are a good savings.
I rarely write reviews, but I'm so pleased with Drugstore.com's speedy delivery that I wanted to share my experience.

I have a lifetime membership with Team National and since Drugstore.com is one of their affiliates, I get a percentage back on everything I purchase from them. I have used them regularly now for several years for many of my household and personal use needs. I like the previous purchased history they provide that allows me to select items that I buy regularly without searching for them again. They also offer additional discounts and coupons on many items that makes this site a no-brainer for me. Although there are some instances where I pay slightly more for some items, I consider myself still ahead since I can shop, place my order and receive it without ever leaving my home.
With all they have to offer, I have found their site pretty easy to navigate and searches are accurate and fast.
Old Fashioned Service
I went to Walgreens in High Point, NC, yesterday to buy Iron Supplement Pills. As I looked at the display, I couldn't find what I was looking for. I found the Manager on Duty and explained my situation. He gladly walked me back to the supplements and found what I needed; He asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I thanked him and proceeded to the checkout counter, where the cashier picked up the SERVICE BALL. She greeted me, asked if I found everything I needed, as she rang me up, she made sure I was a rewards member and had entered my phone number to activate. She then looked at my account and notified me that I had a $5.00 discount in my account. I say this because I have encountered a number of service personnel who have treated me as if I was interrupting their day. I just believe in this day and age when you see good old fashioned Customer Service it should be acknowledged. Yes, that is very sad, but it is the world we live in. It should be the norm rather than the exception. Good Job Walgreens you are among the Elite today!
WALGREENS IS THE BEST PHARMACY!
Walgreens is definitely the only place I will get my prescribed medicines!
I have shopped at several Pharmacies in the past 45 years. One Pharmacy neglected to pay attention to the Contraindication Alerts, gave me two medications that are NEVER allowed to be prescribed together, and I nearly died. Other Pharmacies have not made that drastic an error, but I have found that many Pharmacies will charge more than they should. This has digruntled me, and made me feel that Pharmacists just cannot be trusted.
Then, I began to get my prescription drugs from Walgreens. I have been with them many years, and not once have they made a mistake. Correction: they made a mistake one time, but not a serious one. They have correctly filled several hundred prescriptions for me. I had been very ill, and now, though I am still disabled, I am much healthier.
The staff at Walgreens' stores are unfailingly polite, helpful, considerate, and truly give the best service.
The Pharmacists will ALWAYS answer any questions I have about medications. Sometimes, they even offer information before I can ask for the Pharmacists.
I am not thrilled with the prices on the vitamins, supplements, or ace wraps. They also do not carry all of the products I usually buy.
However, for a Drugstore, Walgreens hands-down scores the highest ratings from me EVERY TIME!
Mind blowing enemas
It's been 5 days or so since I've had my exit only area empty like a woodchipper does as it's spitting out wood on a hot summer day. I kept trying and trying to make my poopshoot go poop but nothing. I'd been clinching my buttcheeks together and releasing like it's a daily workout ritual for days now. I made my way into the local Walgreens to search for the perfect butt washer. I found myself eyeballing something that looked like a giant [censored]. I wasn't for sure whether I should get the single or a 6 pack. I called all my friends and even asked the cashier if she wanted to join my terd spewing party. Unfortunately they all turned me down. When I returned to my homestead, I realized the box stated "ready to use" I inserted the entire package in my turd cutter, alarming the enema was actually inside the box... So apparently it's not "ready to use." Finally retrieving the enema out of the box, after I removed the plastic sleeve 5 hours later and exposed the lubricated tip the enema was ready to insert. But much to my surprise, the tip had not been lubricated and felt more like a cat's tongue. After feeling the cat's tongue I made my way to my throne and I noticed the pictures on the box, realizing I had administered it in the wrong position apparently ur not supposed to stand on your head and shove it in like your stuffing your grandmother's Thanksgiving turkey. I started squirting out turds like a machine gun then there was an explosion like a volcano. Moral of the story never plug your poop shooter and always... Always read the directions first.
5 STAR EMPLOYEE
RE: NOAH / PHARMACY EMPLOYEE
Compliment
I frequent the Walgreens #*** - *** US Hwy 1, Sebastian, FL ***.
Transaction 1/26/2023 - RFN# [protected]-2603.
Your employee NOAH always stands out among the others. He is always professional, tactful, kind, knowledgeable and extremely helpful... AND handsome.
On Jan 26,2023 I arrived at the drive-thru, requested that an antibiotic be done ASAP. I am my sister's legal guardian. She was at the hospital ER for over 3 hours. We dropped the antibiotic off right away because she was in pain & I had to go to work. I asked for a rush order. We dropped it off as a rush order. (I try not to do this because Walgreens is always busy with many other customers. This was an exception). I have been doing double shifts at work for two other employees who are sick at two different locations. No way I could get back to Walgreens the following day.
Noah's female co-worker at the pharmacy drive-thru didn't put a rush on the order - even though I apologized for doing so. We said we'd wait for it to be ready. I explained that my sister is in pain, I've got to drop her off at home & need to rush to work...(I ended up being late).
No text arrived so we drove back to the pharmacy after waiting over one hour. A different female drive-thru employee said it wasn't ready. She told us to walk inside the store to the pharmacy & wait. This was not told to us earlier. If we knew it would speed up getting the medication, we would have walked inside prior. We had been waiting in our vehicle in the Walgreen's parking lot waiting for the text/notification that it was ready...apparently, the first female employee failed to tell the pharmacist to put a rush on the order -
Because of this. The conversation with the new female employee at the drive-thru was awkward.
We had driven to the Walgreens drive-thru two separate times on the same day. As we were told, we parked, walked inside the store immediately. Luckily for us, Noah was at the cash register. He tactfully explained that the medication was not ready. He didn't rat on his co-worker - but I pointed her out. I explained that I couldn't come back the following day due to filling in double shifts for two sick co-workers at different locations.
Noah handled the situation very well. After approx 15 minutes of sitting inside the Walgreen's pharmacy we received the ER medication. By then we'd been waiting approx 1 hr 45 minutes from the original time of dropping off the prescription.
We drove back home. I dropped my sister off & I rushed to work... I was late.
NOAH kept his cool and got the medication to us as soon as he could. We really appreciated it!
Please do something extra special for Noah today. Thank you.
Walgreens Margate (Rock Island and Atlantic Blvd)
I needed something quickly and decided to go to Walgreens. I don't use this Walgreens so after looking around for awhile trying to find the item I needed, I stood in line to ask the woman at the register where the item was (there was no one working in the aisles/store to ask). The woman at the register told me it was in aisle 17. I went to aisle 17 but it was items not related to what I needed. I went back to the front. I asked for a Manager. The (rude) woman said to wait. I waited. I looked in the aisle again. No luck. I went back and waited in (a long) line again to ask a different clerk. She sent me to a different area. No luck. I again asked for a Manager. I was told she was on break and that I'd have to wait. I was already in the store 20 minutes for 1 (should be a $2.00) item. I left and went to Walmart...I'll never go back to this store.
Dispensed fake pain medication by the pharmacy
My mum takes Tramadol for severe pain from colectomy and is staunchly counterincated to take ANY NSAIDS for any reason. The pharmacy and insurance fought her on filling the tramadol trying to force her to try Celebrex and other NSAID drugs which would cause a bleed in the GI tract...She had been filling her medications as 1941 southern Blvd Rio rancho New Mexico 87124.
The pharmacy team was very judgemental and never filled the prescribed amount of the tramadol- she ended up with 19 and 9 and 6 sometimes without any cohesive explanation. No matter how my mum and I counted it- there were tablets which simply evaporated from the number dispensed!
Finally, we worked it out to obtain all thirty at once for her - but in November and December of 2023- she was filled tablets which did not match the description on the bottle- these pills had a score mark on the blank side- the others did not. After a couple of days- my mother and I noticed that she was vomiting and has cold hands and feet as well as coughing. She complained that it did NOT help her pain at all!
I started looking into these tablets and checked with a half a dozen different drug identification wizards and there was NO MEDICATION that came up with the manufacturer imprints I provided. I was certain that they were a Beta Blocker due to my mother's reaction- the cold sweaty hands and feet and cough was something that came as am adverse event from the blood pressure drugs-- even if they were not beta blockers- it was not what we were advertised.
I brought the tablets to the pharmacy and confronted them with samples of both drugs. I was told that I don't know what I am talking about and that it is tramadol- citing the store pill ID wizard- they showed me that the pill with the score on one side is the same it just has a line through the middle...that's part of the manufacture imprint and it would be indicated. Both pharmacists I spoke with tried to insist I am just inept and were condescending about my prior medical education- I am very familiar with pharmacology and I don't appreciate having some nitwit roll their eyes and smirk disdainfully at me as if I am some sort of drug seeker/addict due to the nature of the medication prescribed.
Walgreens has previously refused to fill my legal, legitimate prescription for a controlled substance because she claimed that I didn't need them and I was going to use them illicitly. It took until I spoke to the pharmacist who knows me and she conceded to fill the medication while chronically apologizing. For the record: the prescription was for THREE 5mg diazepam tablets for seizure rescue PRN. I had not filled a prescription for any benzodiazapanes at ANY pharmacy for over a year. She easily could have seen that in the registry- but she inflicted her bias on me and maliciously denied me out of self-righteous disdain. Discrimination is still discrimination and it's not the pharmacist duty to be the morality police.
Note: the single pill bottle photo was from the last month of legitimate medication.
Claimed loss: Dignity. Functionality. 60 50mg Tramadol tablets- which were fake.
Desired outcome: Replace the fake medication. Issue a one-time respite of 60 brand-name tablets to retroactively compensate for the Dummy tablets.

Pharmacy
I think that it is very rude of your pharmacy staff, to shut the window, on your customers who have been sitting in line waiting for medication.
I had been sitting in line for 10 mins. The car ahead of me pulled away, as I pulled up to the window the lady pulled down the shade a picked up the phone and was walking around.
I felt that was very rude. At least finish the people in line. When I walk in all the pharmacist had to say there is a sign .
Well I am sorry, but us working poor people, who make ten times less then you people, who have banker hours, who have holidays off, and now weekends, and only have to work 9-5. And don’t have to leave your 10 hr shift job to make an exception to leave early from their job to come pick up there medication. Then can laugh and make fun of me. So Walgreens thanks for your time. But I will be pulling my prescription!
Available product
I love finding good deals at walgreens and the staff at my local store are very helpful and courteous. One problem I see alot is lack of product on shelf. Weekly deals that offer register rewards or walgreens cash can not be completed because there is never the needed quantity on the shelf to make the purchase. I follow couponing groups and see other locations have a large quantity of product available so people can make good deals. This does not happen in the store where I shop. Small town and only one walgreens . Wish my store received a larger volume of product for advertised sale. Thank you. Customer Tammy Brewington.
Walgreens - Pharmacist Pat JCLYDE VA
I havw e been receiving my medi ation for years, and with any relationship, I am aware that not everyone agrees always. I was told by the newest Pharmacy member Pat that why haven't I been going to Kroger, she then proceeded to be so rude and unprofessional. She stated I am flagged, I asked her why and is she is aware of what stating a patient is flagged...

My name is Rolando Tulod and my wife and I would like to file our complain on Walgreens located at 2103 FM 2920 Rd Spring, Texas. Since last year we have been getting most of our medications on an installment basis. We have to travel several times to complete our medications. This is totally unfair and the we had voiced this complain last October 2023 on the pharmacist who was the head of that area and was very rude. Since July 2023 my Ambien was given on an installment basis. We hope some action be taken. My my wife and I are both retired nurses. My phone numbers are Home #:[protected], Cell#[protected]. Thanks

Melissa at Walgreens in West Roxbury Pharmacy Store #4923
Hello,
My name is Barbara Toledo. I have been filling prescriptions at this location for many years. I have come across some very good staff, but this young lady stands out. Melissa's performance is excellent. She goes out of her way every time I need to fill a prescription. The reason why I am writing this, is because I have a young daughter, who has multiple disabilities. My daughter is now dealing with end stage liver failure. Anyone that knows people like my daughter, knows they have difficulties with their health insurance constantly changing and the complications that causes when trying to fill a prescription. I was in store # 4923 filling a prescription on 1/5/2024 where a gentleman handed me a piece of paper telling me no, you do not have insurance. I then went home and called the number he gave me, where I was informed that my daughter does have coverage and that this particular prescription was in fact covered. I was upset with how I had been treated by this gentleman and came home to wait for Sunday morning to call the pharmacy back, hoping to speak to the pharmacist. Melissa answered the phone and I said "Hello, my name is Barbara Toledo" and right away Melissa replied "Good morning Mrs Toledo. How may I help you today?" I explained to her what had happened on Friday. Instead of putting me on hold, she said "Lets work this out." I gave her all the information off the health insurance card and she paused a moment. She responded " This is most definitely covered. Will I be seeing you today? I can have this ready in 10 minutes." I cannot begin to express how often Melissa has come to our rescue after we have been sent away or denied coverage. She is the epitome of excellence. Your company would benefit if you could only clone this young woman from her personality to her body language. She is the standard of professionalism.
Thank you,
Barbara Toledo

Missing medication
My daughter has suffered and been diagnose with ADHD for over three years. On January 13,2024 at 11am she went to get her prescription filled at 4700 S. Haslted as usual. Unfortunately, this time she was missing 18 pills from her bottle. Her monthly doses is 30 pills and she has always been able to function with the correct amount. The reason for this email is to request that the cameras be relooked and that my daughter pills be reissued. This medication has allowed my daughter to remain functional and productive within her environment daily. As a parent, I want and can protect my daughter from things within my control but I cannot protect her from things outside of my control (mental illness). Please contact us at [protected] and [protected]. We can be reached at [protected]@yahoo, com and [protected]@yahoo.com
Claimed loss: 18 pills

Customer service
I will start off by saying that I moved here 14 years ago to Granite Bay and I’ve been using Walgreens pharmacy specifically in the Walgreen store the entire 14 years. I am here in the store frequently. I came in tonight to buy a few things and I saw a bottle of wine on sale that I like. My wallet was stolen two weeks ago. I have no idea I know the number by heart, but I have no physical ID at the moment. I’m waiting for it to come in the mail. I am a 56-year-old Caucasian female I’ve had a facelift no facelift 56 years old is going to make me look under age for drinking. Amanda, who claims to be a manager, was the person who checked me out. She asked me for my ID I let her know my wallet was stolen and I didn’t have a physical ID but I need the number if she would like to type it in and of course I know my birthday. She said she couldn’t sell me the wine I asked to talk to the manager she rudely, told me she was a manager, and that that was their policy they card everyone. I’ll ask her if it is the law that you have to be over 21 to buy alcohol law is not that you have to have your ID with you the lies that you have to be over 21 clearly, I am over 21. She said she will make no exception that if I do not have my ID I cannot buy this bottle of wine. I let her know I’ve been coming to this place for 14 years using their pharmacy exclusively. She pointed to the door and say the policy as stated on the door cold as ice. What is happen to customer service in your stores surely there must be exceptions to the rule when someone is almost 60 years old. It is not entitled to buy a bottle of wine because I don’t have my ID on me physically? That is absurd. There’s no question that I have over 21. It’s not even in the realm of possibility when you look at me, why on earth would someone have such poor customer service to a dedicated customer? Do you would like would you like to lose your dedicated customers? Are you looking to sit out the population of people that come to your stores because with people like Amanda, working here, who are unable to think outside of the box and are unable to make exceptions and think clearly that perhaps this is a loyal customer that we would like to keep maybe we should sell her this while the wind is her off you were going to lose customers right and left. I would like to reply to this I would like to know if it is your intent for me to go elsewhere for all my pharmaceutical needs. Because with people like that working there, I don’t want anything to do with your store. Do you need to be some customer service left in this world Sam way to treat loyal customers when their wallet has been stolen to allow them to buy a bottle of wine. In all honesty I have never bought alcohol from any of your stores in my entire life. I had no idea what your policy was but I cannot imagine not selling to someone who clearly looks to be over 21 when they’re loyal customers I am depending on your answer I will take all of my pharmaceuticals elsewhere because I want nothing to do with a store that treats people, so calmly I understand that you all have to protect yourself from lawsuits that really is there going to be a problem if the alcohol board comes in and sees me am I age buying a bottle of wine is there going to be a problem? No, we all know there will not be a problem so I feel to see why little Amanda doesn’t need to be so inhuman. I’ve had a particularly horrible day and her little attitude made it oh so much worse perhaps in training and whether it should be exceptions to rules or how to really give good customer service could be an order because Amanda needs some training incustomer service clearly Azriel skills are definitely not her strong suit.
Desired outcome: I would like a response to what your policy is when somebody who is a loyal customer comes in it was clearly over 21 in like to buy a bottle of wine and I would like apology for a little Amanda toO.

Hershey's milklicious
Purchased "New Hershey product" called "milkalicous". The candy bar tasted awful! So I return it in zero below weather to the Walgreens and had to walk ( mind you). After arriving I was told that you cannot take back non perishable food items nor drink? What,?! After 15 years of being a customer this is unbelievable if an item is beyond expiration. I felt embarrassed and so did my wife. Thank you so much for nada...
Claimed loss: 13.00
Desired outcome: Please refund
