Walgreens Walgreens Margate (Rock Island and Atlantic Blvd)

I needed something quickly and decided to go to Walgreens. I don't use this Walgreens so after looking around for awhile trying to find the item I needed, I stood in line to ask the woman at the register where the item was (there was no one working in the aisles/store to ask). The woman at the register told me it was in aisle 17. I went to aisle 17 but it was items not related to what I needed. I went back to the front. I asked for a Manager. The (rude) woman said to wait. I waited. I looked in the aisle again. No luck. I went back and waited in (a long) line again to ask a different clerk. She sent me to a different area. No luck. I again asked for a Manager. I was told she was on break and that I'd have to wait. I was already in the store 20 minutes for 1 (should be a $2.00) item. I left and went to Walmart...I'll never go back to this store.

Walgreens Dispensed fake pain medication by the pharmacy

My mum takes Tramadol for severe pain from colectomy and is staunchly counterincated to take ANY NSAIDS for any reason. The pharmacy and insurance fought her on filling the tramadol trying to force her to try Celebrex and other NSAID drugs which would cause a bleed in the GI tract...She had been filling her medications as 1941 southern Blvd Rio rancho New Mexico 87124.

The pharmacy team was very judgemental and never filled the prescribed amount of the tramadol- she ended up with 19 and 9 and 6 sometimes without any cohesive explanation. No matter how my mum and I counted it- there were tablets which simply evaporated from the number dispensed!

Finally, we worked it out to obtain all thirty at once for her - but in November and December of 2023- she was filled tablets which did not match the description on the bottle- these pills had a score mark on the blank side- the others did not. After a couple of days- my mother and I noticed that she was vomiting and has cold hands and feet as well as coughing. She complained that it did NOT help her pain at all!

I started looking into these tablets and checked with a half a dozen different drug identification wizards and there was NO MEDICATION that came up with the manufacturer imprints I provided. I was certain that they were a Beta Blocker due to my mother's reaction- the cold sweaty hands and feet and cough was something that came as am adverse event from the blood pressure drugs-- even if they were not beta blockers- it was not what we were advertised.

I brought the tablets to the pharmacy and confronted them with samples of both drugs. I was told that I don't know what I am talking about and that it is tramadol- citing the store pill ID wizard- they showed me that the pill with the score on one side is the same it just has a line through the middle...that's part of the manufacture imprint and it would be indicated. Both pharmacists I spoke with tried to insist I am just inept and were condescending about my prior medical education- I am very familiar with pharmacology and I don't appreciate having some nitwit roll their eyes and smirk disdainfully at me as if I am some sort of drug seeker/addict due to the nature of the medication prescribed.

Walgreens has previously refused to fill my legal, legitimate prescription for a controlled substance because she claimed that I didn't need them and I was going to use them illicitly. It took until I spoke to the pharmacist who knows me and she conceded to fill the medication while chronically apologizing. For the record: the prescription was for THREE 5mg diazepam tablets for seizure rescue PRN. I had not filled a prescription for any benzodiazapanes at ANY pharmacy for over a year. She easily could have seen that in the registry- but she inflicted her bias on me and maliciously denied me out of self-righteous disdain. Discrimination is still discrimination and it's not the pharmacist duty to be the morality police.

Note: the single pill bottle photo was from the last month of legitimate medication.

Claimed loss: Dignity. Functionality. 60 50mg Tramadol tablets- which were fake.

Desired outcome: Replace the fake medication. Issue a one-time respite of 60 brand-name tablets to retroactively compensate for the Dummy tablets.

Walgreens Pharmacy

I think that it is very rude of your pharmacy staff, to shut the window, on your customers who have been sitting in line waiting for medication.

I had been sitting in line for 10 mins. The car ahead of me pulled away, as I pulled up to the window the lady pulled down the shade a picked up the phone and was walking around.

I felt that was very rude. At least finish the people in line. When I walk in all the pharmacist had to say there is a sign .

Well I am sorry, but us working poor people, who make ten times less then you people, who have banker hours, who have holidays off, and now weekends, and only have to work 9-5. And don’t have to leave your 10 hr shift job to make an exception to leave early from their job to come pick up there medication. Then can laugh and make fun of me. So Walgreens thanks for your time. But I will be pulling my prescription!

Walgreens Available product

I love finding good deals at walgreens and the staff at my local store are very helpful and courteous. One problem I see alot is lack of product on shelf. Weekly deals that offer register rewards or walgreens cash can not be completed because there is never the needed quantity on the shelf to make the purchase. I follow couponing groups and see other locations have a large quantity of product available so people can make good deals. This does not happen in the store where I shop. Small town and only one walgreens . Wish my store received a larger volume of product for advertised sale. Thank you. Customer Tammy Brewington.

Walgreens - Pharmacist Pat JCLYDE VA

I havw e been receiving my medi ation for years, and with any relationship, I am aware that not everyone agrees always. I was told by the newest Pharmacy member Pat that why haven't I been going to Kroger, she then proceeded to be so rude and unprofessional. She stated I am flagged, I asked her why and is she is aware of what stating a patient is flagged...

Walgreens Not completing all our medications every month

My name is Rolando Tulod and my wife and I would like to file our complain on Walgreens located at 2103 FM 2920 Rd Spring, Texas. Since last year we have been getting most of our medications on an installment basis. We have to travel several times to complete our medications. This is totally unfair and the we had voiced this complain last October 2023 on the pharmacist who was the head of that area and was very rude. Since July 2023 my Ambien was given on an installment basis. We hope some action be taken. My my wife and I are both retired nurses. My phone numbers are Home #:[protected], Cell#[protected]. Thanks

Walgreens Melissa at Walgreens in West Roxbury Pharmacy Store #4923

Hello,

My name is Barbara Toledo. I have been filling prescriptions at this location for many years. I have come across some very good staff, but this young lady stands out. Melissa's performance is excellent. She goes out of her way every time I need to fill a prescription. The reason why I am writing this, is because I have a young daughter, who has multiple disabilities. My daughter is now dealing with end stage liver failure. Anyone that knows people like my daughter, knows they have difficulties with their health insurance constantly changing and the complications that causes when trying to fill a prescription. I was in store # 4923 filling a prescription on 1/5/2024 where a gentleman handed me a piece of paper telling me no, you do not have insurance. I then went home and called the number he gave me, where I was informed that my daughter does have coverage and that this particular prescription was in fact covered. I was upset with how I had been treated by this gentleman and came home to wait for Sunday morning to call the pharmacy back, hoping to speak to the pharmacist. Melissa answered the phone and I said "Hello, my name is Barbara Toledo" and right away Melissa replied "Good morning Mrs Toledo. How may I help you today?" I explained to her what had happened on Friday. Instead of putting me on hold, she said "Lets work this out." I gave her all the information off the health insurance card and she paused a moment. She responded " This is most definitely covered. Will I be seeing you today? I can have this ready in 10 minutes." I cannot begin to express how often Melissa has come to our rescue after we have been sent away or denied coverage. She is the epitome of excellence. Your company would benefit if you could only clone this young woman from her personality to her body language. She is the standard of professionalism.

Thank you,

Barbara Toledo

My daughter has suffered and been diagnose with ADHD for over three years. On January 13,2024 at 11am she went to get her prescription filled at 4700 S. Haslted as usual. The reason for this email is to request that the cameras be relooked and that my daughter pills be reissued. As a parent, I want and can protect my daughter from things within my control but I cannot protect her from things outside of my control (mental illness). Walgreens Customer service

I will start off by saying that I moved here 14 years ago to Granite Bay and I’ve been using Walgreens pharmacy specifically in the Walgreen store the entire 14 years. I am here in the store frequently. I came in tonight to buy a few things and I saw a bottle of wine on sale that I like. My wallet was stolen two weeks ago. I have no idea I know the number by heart, but I have no physical ID at the moment. I’m waiting for it to come in the mail. I am a 56-year-old Caucasian female I’ve had a facelift no facelift 56 years old is going to make me look under age for drinking. Amanda, who claims to be a manager, was the person who checked me out. She asked me for my ID I let her know my wallet was stolen and I didn’t have a physical ID but I need the number if she would like to type it in and of course I know my birthday. She said she couldn’t sell me the wine I asked to talk to the manager she rudely, told me she was a manager, and that that was their policy they card everyone. I’ll ask her if it is the law that you have to be over 21 to buy alcohol law is not that you have to have your ID with you the lies that you have to be over 21 clearly, I am over 21. She said she will make no exception that if I do not have my ID I cannot buy this bottle of wine. I let her know I’ve been coming to this place for 14 years using their pharmacy exclusively. She pointed to the door and say the policy as stated on the door cold as ice. What is happen to customer service in your stores surely there must be exceptions to the rule when someone is almost 60 years old. It is not entitled to buy a bottle of wine because I don’t have my ID on me physically? That is absurd. There’s no question that I have over 21. It’s not even in the realm of possibility when you look at me, why on earth would someone have such poor customer service to a dedicated customer? Do you would like would you like to lose your dedicated customers? Are you looking to sit out the population of people that come to your stores because with people like Amanda, working here, who are unable to think outside of the box and are unable to make exceptions and think clearly that perhaps this is a loyal customer that we would like to keep maybe we should sell her this while the wind is her off you were going to lose customers right and left. I would like to reply to this I would like to know if it is your intent for me to go elsewhere for all my pharmaceutical needs. Because with people like that working there, I don’t want anything to do with your store. Do you need to be some customer service left in this world Sam way to treat loyal customers when their wallet has been stolen to allow them to buy a bottle of wine. In all honesty I have never bought alcohol from any of your stores in my entire life. I had no idea what your policy was but I cannot imagine not selling to someone who clearly looks to be over 21 when they’re loyal customers I am depending on your answer I will take all of my pharmaceuticals elsewhere because I want nothing to do with a store that treats people, so calmly I understand that you all have to protect yourself from lawsuits that really is there going to be a problem if the alcohol board comes in and sees me am I age buying a bottle of wine is there going to be a problem? No, we all know there will not be a problem so I feel to see why little Amanda doesn’t need to be so inhuman. I’ve had a particularly horrible day and her little attitude made it oh so much worse perhaps in training and whether it should be exceptions to rules or how to really give good customer service could be an order because Amanda needs some training incustomer service clearly Azriel skills are definitely not her strong suit.

Desired outcome: I would like a response to what your policy is when somebody who is a loyal customer comes in it was clearly over 21 in like to buy a bottle of wine and I would like apology for a little Amanda toO.

Walgreens Hershey's milklicious

Purchased "New Hershey product" called "milkalicous". The candy bar tasted awful! So I return it in zero below weather to the Walgreens and had to walk ( mind you). After arriving I was told that you cannot take back non perishable food items nor drink? What,?! After 15 years of being a customer this is unbelievable if an item is beyond expiration. I felt embarrassed and so did my wife. Thank you so much for nada...

Walgreens Terrible service

I ordered 2 photo books for my son, granddaughter and daughter-in-law who are visiting from Australia over Christmas and we made the books as a special Christmas gift. We ordered the books from your store #[protected] State RT 54 in Owensboro, KY. We spent at least 20 hours preparing the layouts for the books. I went to pick up the books, paid $84.78 and inspected the books before leaving the store. The covers on both books had a large bubble next to the spine and the pages were stapled about 1 inch from the edge so the photos near the spine are partially obscured when the pages are turned. All of the pages were loose and slide out of the binding. I complained to the store employee and she said it was a problem with the binding machine and all books have the same issues. I told her this isn't true because this week a relative had a photo book made for my wife and I for our anniversary and the book was perfect. The employee told me that she could give us a discount or redo the books. I told the employee an inferior book is unacceptable and I wanted the books redone. She said she would redo them and I could pick them up tomorrow. About an hour after I got home the employee called me and said that she could not redo the books because they were out of supplies and suggested I go to the Frederica Street store. My wife and I do a lot of shopping at Walgreen's and go there for all of our vaccines. Our insurance company (Anthem) gave my wife and I each a $100 Walgreen's gift card for getting a wellness check-up. If Walgreen's is going to produce photo books, the employees need to be properly trained in the preparation of the books and proper customer service. They should inspect the books prior to giving them to the customer and not give them a poorly constructed book. Our granddaughter is 7 years old and this book depicts her activities from when she was an infant. We thought it was a perfect gift for her and her parents. This is only her second time visiting us and we want it to be memorable. We wanted to do another book of their visit over the holidays and send it to them after they return to Australia. Can we trust Walgreen's to do it correctly?

James. "Pharmacist" The nastiest human on the planet. Disgusting trash. He made me cry. As well as my federal insurance agent who attempted to speak to him. He is unhinged. Unprofessional. He needs a mental evaluation before distributing medication. If no one does anything to stop him I will continue to see that he no longer treats our community this way

Walgreens Refills not complete

Doctors sent prescriptions via email and pharmacy didn't have enough to complete orders. 5 orders 3 incomplete with no help from pharmacist to resolve this. I wasn't about to leave town for work didn't have enough medication to keep me from getting sick on the job. I called customer service and basically was told that there was nothing that could be done that I would just have to miss work and that's the way it is.

I have not been so appalled by the replies that I had gotten from different employees of Walgreens. I went to another Walgreens and they were going to double bill me and tell me it was my fault and all I could say was that's wrong that's wrong that's wrong and I left without anger just my head hanging down.

Claimed loss: 2 days of work

Desired outcome: My prescription filled!!!!! isn't that all I have wanted. IM STILL WAITING

Walgreens Denied purchase

I Attempted to purchase several health products at the Brooklyn Avenue U store 11229 that we're clearly labeled OTC I also had my Walgreen card for discounts after several tries I was declined and told to call number on the back of OTC card So I did I found out that my card & funds where fine there wasn't any issue And the card was in very good condition. Manager Brad had no answers for me why this 87 dollar purchase could not be completed the problem was clearly on Walgreens system I also gave the store an opportunity to resolve the issue and got no answers or resolve. I really like that the OTC products are labeled in Walgreens but if your Denied at checkout what's the sense of that. I believe there is some discrimination going on at this location 3082 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY 11229 ·

Walgreens Pharmacy Tech Rosalind

Ordered 2 RXs by phone 11/12/2023. (Gabapentin 300mg 90 day supply and Nadalol 80 mg 90 day supply) Both RXs had 3 refills remaining. Called the store (#07293 12 N Abe San Angelo, TX) on 11/15/2023 and was told they had no record of my order. Tech told me they would fill the RXs. Went into store 11/18/2023 and picked up RXs. When I got home the RX for Nadalol only had 7 tablets in the bottle and it had a totally different RX number. I phoned the pharmacy and talked to Rosalind. She told me they only gave 7 tablets because that was all they had and they were waiting on a shipment to come in. She also told me that RX numbers change all the time. I told her mine only change annually when I get new RXs from my doctor and I told her she was not listening to what I was saying about my regular RX still had 3 refills on it. She was kind of rude and said she would get a staff member for me. I waited on the phone 5 minutes and no one answered. I called the pharmacy back and talked to a male Tech and told him what was going on. He looked up the RX said it would be ready next day for 90 tablets. Can not stand liars or stupidity. Now my insurance company says it is too soon to fill my Nadalol RX due to it was just filled for 7 tablets. This is blood pressure medicine I take every day. I am transferring all 10 RXs I have with Walgreens to another pharmacy and giving a report to the Better Business Bureau.

Walgreens Prescription refill

I transferred my prescriptions and I frequent the Walgreens on Brandon street in Anchorage Ak because it is near me over a year ago.

I get the same prescriptions there each month. I am at my wits end with the excuses for not having my medication (Belbuca) refilled each month.

The team there in general show absolutely no concern when they are unable to help. I am instructed to call in advance to insure the meds are available and ordered. I do this every month. 1week in advance, again at 4 days, again at 2 days, and even the day prior to the med date to be refilled. I am told each time that it has been ordered, it’s in the que to be released on a specific day, and yes it will be ready.

I go to pick my meds up on the day I am told it will be available only to be told it is either on back order, or there’s none in warehouse, or it did not come in with current order or it hasn’t even been ordered yet and I’ll need to wait 4 to 5 days and call back. Each time I call I am placed on hold no less than 45 min to an hour only be told to call back later, it’s not ready or worse yet disconnected all together because it’s the lunch hour even though I’ve been on hold for up to an hour prior to the lunch break.

If I’m fortunate I may get a partial fill to hold me until order is in, however this time around I was given 1 days worth and told it will be another 4 days before order is available. I was told if I need it earlier I could go to a Walgreens over 30 miles away because they have it in stock there.

I called that particular Walgreens (Eagle River, Alaska) only be told they have it but because I accepted the ONE day partial refill they cannot fill unless my provider calls in, by now it’s a Saturday so this cannot be accomplished.

I would like to note the customer service and pharmacist at the EagleRiver location were kind, caring, apologetic and seemed genuinely concerned with my dilemma however there hands were tied so to speak, which I understood the reasons. What I don’t understand is why I wasn’t informed I should not have accepted a one day partial fill if it would prohibit me from going to another pharmacy that had it available to completely fill..

The staff at the Brendon location are under qualified or under trained in customer care in general. Their uncaring attitude is highly offensive. I have asked repeatedly to ask to a manager that tells me to just call in my meds in advance to avoid the issues I’m having. I explain that I do this EVERY month. I am told there is nothing else they can do to alleviate the issue.

I realize there’s a nation wide shortage of qualified pharmacy team members, and certain medications may be in shortage due to Covid and other causes.

This is why I do my best to be patient. However over a year of same type of problems and excuses is highly questionable when other pharmacies I’ve contacted don’t seem to have same problem on a consistent basis. If this pharmacy is having problems with supply and demand they can at least make up for it in common decency and some type of human compassion when dealing with individuals with chronic conditions that rely on medication to provide a measure of relief and quality of life.

Im a 60 yr old woman with a chronic back condition, fiber myalgia, and arthritis who has to work. So this medication provides a measure of relief that allows me to function daily with out being in critical pain. So to be told I will have to wait up to 5 days for it to be refilled when I have followed all instructions to insure it’s availability on the day I have no medication left is fairly devastating.

It’s for this reason that I will discontinue doing business with Walgreens. I know that’s not going to put a dent in anyones pocket but I am certain this is not the only complaint you have or will receive about this location.

When a person has to possibly drive 30 miles to a Walgreens that treats customers with respect and care when there’s one less than 2 miles from their home, that’s a sad situation. That’s not a Walgreen issue that’s an individual location and staff situation that can and should be rectified.

Out of the at least 10 employees I’ve encountered at this Walgreens location in past year only 2 have shown empathy and put effort forth to give a reasonable explanation or to solve the problem I deal with every single month.

I know this will all no doubt fall on deaf ears and needless to say I will be changing pharmacies in near future but if by chance it does come to the attention of whoever handles these complaints I sincerely hope something can be done about this particular Walgreens location.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Terry McDaniel Lane
