Sonic has some good food, but the trouble you have to go through to get it, is just really not worth it. To sum it up, my Footlong cheese coney barely had any cheese or chili, and what was put on there, was done very sloppy. Got some ice cream, and it was a dead spider one time...decided to try again for the second time hoping service and food would be better, and it was a long strand of hair in the ice cream. A couple of times, the burgers were cold...we took them back, and got nothing but attitude from the workers and the manager.
I'm furious at the sonic drive in. Been there several times and have been very disappointed. On one occasion ordered a chicken sandwich and somehow ended up with fish sandwich. On two separate occasions we ordered boneless BBQ wings which we never received our order after 30 minutes of waiting so we finally left. Then again tonight we ordered boneless BBQ wings and after 30 minutes of waiting again we finally received our order we get all the way home and begin to eat and realize that the wings are not done. I think its safe to say I won't even attempt to eat there again. ----Savannah Forest, Ms
My wife and I went to Sonic for the first time yesterday, and can honestly say we will NEVER eat there again. The food had a smell like we could not explain. The onion rings tasted like a strange sweetness that was very unpalatable. The burgers and hot dogs were terrible. I think this to be the reason they give you peppermint candies to rid your mouth of the taste at the end of your meal. The order we placed came out incomplete ----TWICE! After we left, the caramel shake we ordered wound up tipping over and spilling all over the console in our vehicle, and I am glad it did, because it gave us a chance to see what it looked like under the whip cream topping. I have to say the wife and I could not identify the substance of which it was made... it looked nothing like ice cream or a dairy product for that matter...it was more like a marshmallow-like Styrofoam. This Sonic was located in Wallingford, CT . Cost of the trip...roughly $20.00 for the meal...$4.00 tip to the roller waitress...$8.00 to the convenience store for a roll of paper towels and a spray bottle of all purpose cleaner to clean the console in the car, not to mention the time we lost having to do so on our drive. Good luck to all who chose to eat at this restaurant. -------very unsatisfied Sunday driver in Ct-------Russ
