Shelter recorded a false claim on me. It was happened on 5/27/2017 and the amount was $1681. The property was belong to my ex husband but Shelter recorded the claim under my name. I have no idea about this claim and didn't sign any paper or get any money. When I happened to find out this fact on LexisNexis it has been in my claim history for almost two years. It affected my records negatively and make my premium higher than normal. So I called them just for requesting them to correct the error so it can be taken off from my record history. But What I can't accept is after they realized they made the mistake they still refused to correct the error for me. They said the reason was because my name was on the policy. So I asked them if they would check who is the real owner when they issue policy they said they don't have to because they trust their clients. So I asked if I'm not the owner I still can be the insured person? They said they didn't know what I'm talking about.
The employee whom I contacted was named Julie Haynes. She had a very bad attitude and just ignored my reasonable request finally.
