I purchased and fully paid for a free standing gas Emilia 60cm stainless steel gas upright oven on 14/08/2025. I was advised it will take approx 2 weeks to be shipped from Brisbane to Hervey Baay store. I received a txt on Monday 25/08/2025 advising my order had reached the store. It took me a few days to contact my builder to arrange collection and instillation. Which I had arranged for Monday 1/09/2025.
I received a call on Friday 29/08/2025 from the Hervey Bay store informing me that my fully paid purchase had been sold to someone else. I was on the road for work and it took me by surprise. I was also informed that another order for my oven for shipping to Hervey Bay from Brisbane would be another week. I attended the store to speak with management and advise this is not suitable and was very inconvenienced by the situation. I have spent over $2000 for a product that I have not had in my possession for 3 weeks and then get advised my purchase has been sold by the Commercial Dept. without first consultation this is inappropriate and immoral. I expect my purchase is just as important as a commercial purchase. This has inconvenienced me by taking time to sort a reasonable solution, the staff at the Hervey Bay store have been very accommodating and very apologetic. I am living in my new build without an oven as this is the last item to be installed. Your processes need to be reviewed so this does not happen to another customer. I find this process to be unacceptable if a customer has paid in full for an item and that said item is in store for collection no dept. should have the right to sell it to someone else. I expect compensation for the inconvenience and trouble of sourcing a solution to this problem. I expect to hear from your company within a reasonable time frame.

Claimed loss: Loss of purchased item as it was sold by the commercial team to another customer. The company now has double the money for the 1 item. I am out of pocket for a product I do not have possession of.

Desired outcome: A reasonable response in a suitable time frame and compensation for the inconvenience.
