If I learned nothing else its that I will always Google any company I buy anything online. Ordered a lowering kit and after months of excuses, I finally had to file a complaint with my credit card company just to get my money back. Dave is master of bullcrap. I've never, never been run through the ringer by any company like Scootworks put me through. If my credit card company hadn't refunded my money for me I was going to call the cops in Zebulon and file a complaint for theft. My recommendation, AVIOD SCOOTWORKS LIKE YOUR CHILDRENS LIVES DEPENDED ON IT!

I ordered a part from scootwork on 11/21/2017 and got the run around for over 2 months. Thank god I paid through PayPal. It was 3 months and 1 day all together from paying for the part to PayPal refunding my money $137.45. I had over 20 back and forth emails with excuse after excuse after excuse until Dave the owner stopped responding. Idk how he gets away with just taking peoples money and not fulfilling the order. Like I said thank god for PayPal but he did waste 3 months of my time and my sanity.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!They are thieves.

Like everyone else, I have been scammed by Scootworks, Inc. I ordered $150.98 worth of merchandise from them and it was never delivered. I continued to attempt to make email contact with them to no avail. I was given numerous excuses in over a dozen emails and was eventually told a refund was issued however I never received my money.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB and if it cannot be resolved through them I will be taking them to small claims court.There is no accountability within this company and they continually make excuses eventually ceasing contact with you to avoid any confrontation or potential positive outcome.

Reason of review: They lie, take your money, and offer nothing but excuses. .

Monetary Loss: $151.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Scootworks has scammed a ton of people out of their money. If you were one of their victims contact wral 5 on your side, call the wake county DA and write to the NC attorney generals office. If they receive enough complaints criminal charges will be filled.

i too, had many problems with Dave from scootworks, many many, excuses, everything, from sickness, to his dog ate it, spent over 600.00 for a part, waited 18 weeks, and no part, or refund, only excuses, and bull crap, good luck with phone calls, no one answers, or calls back, and after they have had enough, with your questions, in e mail form, they go silent, avoid this company, at all costs, or it may cost you big, like it did me

David and Debra Hockaday, the owners, filed for personal bankruptcy on 2/11/13. Check out Scootworks info on the Better Business Bureau. They have an F rating because they did the same crap to over 50 people. If Scootworks does this to you call the District Attorney of Wake County and ask to file criminal charges. Tell them you are one of many!

I recently had an incident with them also...definitely should have done my research before ordering a part from them. I ordered a belt in mid-December and just today received confirmation that it was shipped. The only reason that happened is because I threatened them with legal action if they didn't send it. He gave me multiple poorly formulated BS excuses about why it wasn't shipped, but bottom line, he lied 3 times about the shipping date. NEVER doing business with them again, and I'll make sure all of the other motorcycle owners I know don't either.
