FetLife is an adult online website for kinksters and in their community guide lines they state "Our number one priority is to create a fun and safe place for kinksters, like you and I, to call home here on the interwebs." My question to FetLife is how would you like it if you were being spied upon without your knowledge in your own home by certain groups or individuals. That is exactly what FetLife is doing in their so called safe home for kinksters by letting certain groups operate within their website that spy on its members without their knowledge. The groups that I am referring to are The REAPS Proje©t, Artists Rights, FAKE Profiles on FetLife, The Fakes of Fetlife, Fakes-Frauds-Flamers, and Copyright Thieves!. These groups like to put links to other members profiles on the website within their groups for other members within the groups to attack them. Many times members are being accused without any proof what so ever except for the fact that they may have a large number of images in their gallery or because a member has a personal vendetta against another member and wants to cause problems. The members being linked to on many occasions do not even know they have been mentioned in a public forum unless one of their friends tells them and if they go and confront the individuals in that group they are set upon like a pack of dogs. One group in particular, The REAPS Proje©t, is now going outside of FetLife to other websites to do their internet policing and using FetLife as their base.

Before I go any further I would like to put the first two prohibited conduct of a member from FetLife's own Terms Of Use.

You agree that, while using BitLove Inc.’s Products and Services, you will not:

Personally attack, make fun of, troll, flame, bully, stalk or otherwise harass another member.
Make criminal accusations against another member in a public forum.

These groups are doing exactly what FetLife has stated not to do. FetLife has a group of individuals called CareTakers that are suppose to handle complaints. If someone is a fake or violated FetLifes rule on Copyright then the member should be reported to the CareTakers and let them investigate it and take care of it. There is no need to have groups that employ Stasi like tactics operate within its website but FetLife's staff seems to look away and let these groups do it. Now if a member that was not part of one of the above mentioned groups did what they do they would either get an official FetLife warning or have their account banned. I am wondering what these groups will start pointing their accusatory fingers at next. Will it be a members profile pic? Will it be a member's age? Will it be what they write in their profile? Will it be where a member is from? Will it be the friends they have? Will it be their race or religion? Will it be their sexual preference? Get rid of these groups FetLife before they ruin the reputation of your website and your membership dwindles.

I would like to close with these little words of caution. Current members you need to be aware that you are being watched by these Big Brother groups. Individuals that plan on joining FetLife you also need to be made aware that you will be watched as well so join at your own risk. Now for me I have had it with FetLife looking the other way concerning these types of secret police groups. My account is now sitting in their delete queue.

FetLife apparently only protects the guilty simply because they lie better. Or so they think. Phoenix-Rose is the worst of the worst. People secretly record her to gather evidence because there are many who want her out of the community.
Over a year ago I took out a restraining order which proved to be useless as she took her show on the road. Most people think she's just stupid anyway. What no one understands why FetLife allows some members to use their affiliation to abuse other members.

I just had my account suspended for the photos on my profile. I have been on their site since last summer and it's only now they had an issue with the photos I had uploaded. May I add tonnes of people upload photos that are not theirs but just bdsm photos to illustrate their taste in the kink lifestyle and the poses they imagine themselves doing. Now I have seen this post because of a friend who found it for me. I have been totally stripped by their behaviour and I have no idea why I was the target of someone and how they feel they are entitled to screw with my profile. Any advice on how to move forward would be appreciated :(

I have found this site not only to be a rip off by an incredibly dangerous site. Do you now that your photos and personal information is being shared?
Do yourself a favor, do not have anything to do with this site..It's pure trash, and a oke..

Fetlife and other social community members can benefit from the use of safety and security credentials found at www.xoxy.com. Members can refer their potential date for free and confirm no STDs through the self initiated, HIPAA compliant and privacy protected verification system. Users can also rule out violent crimes.

FetLife which is a shell cover for BitLove definately provides cover for vigilantes. My profile and others were hunted by Neurocat. I am convinced Neurocat is either principal or major partner in this scam called Fetlife.

I have been recently banned again because of a false accusation that I have a sock account. I was told that by a lady named Maureen that my daughter and I could have two separate screen names and that the IP address being the same; neither would be considered a "sock account". I made a complaint to a Caretaker (the girl who responded was named Ember) to report a violation of a FLRO that was set up by another member and myself. Ember chose to ban me, claiming a sock account, rather than ban the violator of the FLRO.

It is not the first time this has happened to me or personal friends of mine. The caretakers do not wish to do their job and enforce the TOU or the violations of the TOU.

After making several large contributions to the site to help bail them out of their financial troubles a few months back, this is the treatment I have received...4 bans (1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month and now 2 months). If this is the way they treat their financial contributors, it's no wonder why they are failing.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of the issues I and other have had with BitLove Inc DBA Fetlife. The supervisors refuse to speak further with me on the subject. The owner and all the partners have refused repeatedly to speak with me. I have been harassed, bullied and banned for a variety of reasons, none of which have any truthfulness.

I will continue my campaign to attempt to speak with the higher ups of the organization. I have retained council and will be pursuing a lawsuit to have my monies returned, in full and the website shut down.

OMG All i think is, gee, this sounds like a member of the anti reaps, I can just imagine which one (well, It's actually between 2). As it has been said, don't steal other peoples work - Don't claim to be the person in the picture when you clearly are not and you wont have a reason to worry, will you? Just be honest, use your own work and the site will run as smooth as if should.

Do you even know how many people post other photographers/models work and then claim it as their own.. under the pictures i have seen "oh, this girl was fun to work with" or " This is from a session I captured". If it is of you or something you captured then you would be able to prove it when requested. The real owner always has a release or way of showing ownership. In the very least, if you have nothing to do with it, credit the model/photographer (not that I agree completely with that either) Just don't claim ownership.

Also, regarding pictures, many times, I have seen people say things like "just me in the shower/at the beach/in bed/at a party with all my lovely friends..etc" I happened upon one picture of a girl that she claimed all pictures to be of her. She even had this 'disclaimer" on her profile. All institutes you DO NOT have my permission to use my pictures for any reason. To do so is a violation of my privacy and will seek legal ramifications". How can you put that on your profile and expect others to follow it, IF you yourself don't even adhere to it? In 2011, a profile that belonged to a female who claimed to be 18, had pictures up that she confirmed were of her when she was directly asked. The person posted to a site where the pictures were found, they were first posted there in 2006. Clearly, this girl was lying, or she posted pictures to an adult site of a very minor child, in which she should be kicked off the site.
If you can't see what harm this sort of behavior does, then maybe you shouldn't be in cyberland.

The fact is we live in an imperfect world... Fetlife is no exception.

BUT - the reality is, if someone's profile and the pics they claim are their own is true and not a lie or fake, then the individual has nothing to concern themselves about.

And if a real person and their real pics are accused of being fake, then it is easy to prove otherwise and then have the accuser(s) reported for harassment.

So - in closing, just make sure the profile you create on Fetlife (or any social network) is real and that the pics are either your own or you give credit to the true source of your pics. Then you have nothing (much) to be concerned about.

Sir Tater Tot (Fetlife user and someone who has never been accused of having a fake profile or using fake pics.)

PS – Anyone see the August 3, , 2012 article about how 83 million Facebook profiles are fakes? Interesting stuffs… a good read that helps explain why folks such as the REAPS and the Fake Profiles on Fetlife Group ever were conceived.

On the internet, everone COULD be a "fake". We're not using legally identifying information to present ourselves on social networks, so whose to say who is or isn't a fake? I, for one, am not going to scream my LEGAL name from the rooftops by using it as a screenname/nickname.

Oh, and don't get me started on REAPS...

Who exactly needs to worry about these groups watching them?...fakers, and copyright infringers. If you're neither, then you've got nothing to worry about.

There's plenty to be concerned about. Number one the owner of FetLife is exploiting your intellectual property by giving the pretense of having a profile one would think that the only people who could view their content would be those who are in their friends list. This is nothing shy of a human trafficking website because everything you post on your profile is then put into the main feed for the fat life League of Rogues.
By the time you realize that all these people commenting on your post are not on your friends list it's a little too late you're already targeted and there's not much you can do to keep these people from then erasing every move you make.
FetLife post every time you edit one of your writings. On your profile what you cannot keep the public from viewing everywhere that you have posted on the website is documented allowing these stalkers to literally follow you around to every form you wish to participate in.
They have intentionally set this website up to give you zero control over what they can do with you they even have in their terms of service that you are to obey the site owners.
Failure to obey the site owners versus obey the terms of service clearly indicates that this website is here to exploit you for the purpose of human trafficking..
Meeting women all over the Internet have tried to seek help against the vicious attack from the users of this website to no avail the FetLife response is to delete your account and continue their human trafficking because that is where their profit is.
I do not believe that this website should automatically set up your profile content to go public I believe this violate your privacy and if you want your profile and writings to be public that should be something you set up yourself should not be the automatic settings when you join a website because these automatic settings that you're not aware of is what makes you a target a victim of the human trafficking agenda that this website has.
I believe the owner of this website is a pedophile because if you look at his profile he is only liking the photographs of girls who appear to be underage I believe this is the strategy that they use to get these girls targeted because his followers are simply checking the photographs that he's liking and that is their way of letting everybody know which girls are vulnerable.
The majority of the photographs that the owner of this website is liking appear to be very underage girls.
The fact that he's not liking photos of older women or more mature women or people who are even obviously adult is a clear indication to the owner of this website is promoting his pedophile agenda and human trafficking.
