I signed up for the free trial on Nov 11, 2023, to sign a document and only used it once. They even charged me £1.65, when it's supposed to be FREE. I only needed to do one thing, so I cancelled my subscription immediately after use. I even remember the website saying I could still use its services for the remainder of my trial run, so I thought that was the end. However, I was sceptical as to why there was no email confirming my cancelled subscription.

However, I woke up this morning to find that £125.62 has been charged to my card, even though I have not opted for a subscription renewal! I hastily went back to my account, and lo and behold, my account now has a 'Business Legacy' subscription. I decided to cancel this subscription and got an email from Sarah.

Please give me a refund. If you argue that I have not properly cancelled my subscription the first time, please know that I have not been on the website since Nov 11, 2023. Wouldn't that indicate that I did not intend to use the services again after the first time?

Before getting to the refund itself, we would like to clarify couple things here.

First of, the £1.65 amount was NOT actually a charge. This is the so-called verification amount which is used by the banks and payment systems to check the validity of the credit card data provided. This amount is normally back on the account within 24 hours (usually less).

Secondly, we do not really intentionally track the frequency of user's site visits, unless this is needed for investigation purposes. This is up to the customer to decide, whatever fits the purposes.

Finally, re the refund: We will not actually argue anything since this case of yours falls under our 180-day money-back policy. Please email us at support@pdffiller.com and we will process the refund right away.
