Makro Online item on order was cancelled due to no stock. no refund given

On 5 January 2019 Makro cancelled an item on my order because they had no stock, they told me that they will refund the product. I have been sending numerous emails and made phone calls in regards to this refund. On 30 January 2019 I am still waiting for them to refund the amount of R399.
They have not been in contact with to arrange for this refund.

Makro Online Whirlpool fridge and freezer

Good day

We bought the Whirlpool Standup Fridge an Freezer 2-3 years ago. My husband took an extended warranty out.

We went to the store at Strubensvally to complain that the Freezer door does not close properly, and the alarm keeps reminding us. They sent a Whirlpool agent that said the Freezer is not repairable and that it should be a factory reject. Makro sent a replacement Freezer which had dents in it, and I refuse to take a damaged Freezer.

They took it back, and promised to deliver a new one unit as soon as possible.

Thereafter, we went to the store again to complain, and nothing happened. No call back, no Fridge nothing.

Now, for the last 2 weeks, the fridge freezes up.

What do we have to do to get this problem solved?

This is unacceptable.

Please go back on your records and see how many times we reported the same problem. Needles to say, with lack on Makros' side, we have a new problem with the fridge, and I am sure it is because of the door problem.

Makro Online incorrect order received

On 10/12/2018 I have placed order number MAK1102079 which is a KODA Ruka Work Desk Whitewashed oak. On 21/12/2018 I received a package but it was not the work desk, instead it was a TV Stand.

The day the incorrect order was received by someone on my behalf, I phoned Makro immediately for the exchange. We also left for holiday where there was no signal for the people to get hold of me. Although I did speak to consultant at the call centre many times to follow up.

Mapule is dealing with my query. Yesterday she told me that she has contacted Makro Wonderboom a few times to arrange for the exchange. She even called me back yesterday to follow up if someone has called me regarding that. But till today I have received not 1 call regarding an exchange.

I have ordered on behalf of a High School, you will also be able to see that on my profile. From a business and individual perspective, this is the worst service received.in the first place the right order was supposed to be delivered. I want that desk before the end of the week.

Makro Online non delivery of paid goods - order: mak1108155

Now critical! 

Good day

I have placed the above order online early december and paid for it in full, but to date no delivery and only empty promises! 

I want to know where is my order because you are now bordering on fraud as you advertised goods which I have paid for, yet you have not delivered the goods! 

I expect an answer urgently, or I am pressing charges against your company for fraud! 

I am also going viral with this on social media to warn people about your fraudulent actions! 

This is absolutely shocking!

Makro Online mak1095971 - refund still not received and call center cannot assist me

I placed an order online with Makro on the 5th December 2018 and delivery should take 7 days. I then received an email on the 18th December 2018 advising me that they did not have stock of the product. the Order was then cancelled and I was advised that I would receive a refund within 3 to 5 days. To date I have not received the refund, I have called the call center and they advised that they would follow up for me, however I have not received a response. I have also emailed the lady that advised me that they did not have stock, however she no longer works for Makro. I urgently require the refund

Makro Online refunding not answered

I bought a video camera online from the makro website, Everything ran smoothly and I received my package. I opened up everything and charged the device. When it was time to test it out, I was deeply unsatisfied with the quality of product I was given. The description on their website was misleading stating that this video camera was high quality only to see for myself that I have been bamboozeled. I opted out for a refund and sent a request to send the device back for my money back. I've sent dozens of emails and still no response. I am still waiting for a response and it's been almost 3 weeks now and still nothing. I filed for a refund and they gave me a reference number but I am still waiting. MAK1104916 (order number)

Makro Online product/service

Good day
I want to complain about the unfair treatment I received at Makro. I purchased a samsung washing machine on the 27 December 2016. Six months later from purchase the machine had a fault and I logged it with Makro, they arranged for someone to come fetch the machine and took it for repairs. I had the same issue with the machine and Makro yet again arranged for the people to come fetch the machine and take it for repairs. I have an extended warranty hence they able to fetch it. My complaint is that I will have to keep logging these calls for my machine yearly as it keeps on having the same issue and instead of Makro replacing the machine, they just told me to call the callecentre as there is nothing they can do. The store manager Dennis Reynolds was no help whatsoever, instead he jus kept on repeating himself as if his talking to a bunch of idiots. I left the store not assisted and confused. All I want is for my machine to be replaced with a new one as this issue has happened in two years and it's been faulty twice.

Makro Online nutrictech - hulk gainer

Good day. I bought two tubs of Nutritech Hulk mass gainer at Makro Wonderboom. I opened the first tub only to find that the sealed cap on top of the product had been opened. The opened tub was also had less in it in comparison to the closed tub.
I realized that I had left my slip in the trolley but took screenshots of the amount deducted from my account on the banking app.

Makro Online packing and prices

Good day Sir/Madam
I was at Makro Bloemfontein today 31/12/2018 to buy a laptop bag and I found one Edison Laptop Backpack [protected] Code marked with a pink sticker indicating the bag has been reduced to R299.99 but to my surprise at the till the price was R499.00...and I realised that after paying.

I even went back to the shelf to reconfirm and I was told it was wrongly packed...as a result I paid R200.00 more than what I expected...

Makro Online makro promise of delivery

Made my first online order mak1105306 on 13th of december having been promised delivery before christmas. Made a phone call to your support line early this week and was told it would be here before the end of the week. We are at the end of the week no fridge delivered. I chose makro because it was r100 cheaper than takealot now I am regretting the purchase. Very poor service. If it does not arrive before christmas it will be sent back for a full refund.

You are the Absolute con artists at Xmas time... draw the consumer in with low priced goods online but when we get there, you either don't stock it anymore or it's not at that particular branch.
You do this every year...
name and shame... I'm passing it on to every contact I have, every complaint online search engine I can find(incl HelloPeter).

Makro Online refund

I placed and paid for a King size air mattress on the 4th of December 2018. On the 13 th of December 2018 i was contacted to let me know that the product is faulty and all of the air beds will be recalled and cancelled and I will receive an email requesting refund info. I received an email from Tumi Mabitsela explaining everything with regards to the refund. I replied informing her that i would like an sms voucher refund as it stated in the email that an eft will take 5-7 working days but an sms vouchers turn around time is less than that. Its now 7 days after and I've still not received my sms voucher. I emailed Tumi Mabitsela today, 20 December 2018, at 10:44, 2 hours later I've still not received a response from her, I then emailed Makro Care at 12:45, and I've still not received a response from them either. This is really ridiculous. I have never had any problems with any other store when shopping online, Makro being such a massive brand, you would think something as small as this would get sorted out without any problems. But to wait 17 days is completely unacceptable and beyond annoying.. Please refund me my money.

Makro Online bosch 4 burner gas stove

Bought a 4 burner gas stove on the 25th Of November 2018, the 1st time I tried using the Rotisserie feature, the rubber on the outside where the door sits melted away. I laid a complaint on the 12th of December 2018 I was told it can take up to 48 hours, the complaint was lodged to [protected]. After waiting for more than 48 hours I called back on Friday the 14th December and was told someone from Amanzimtoti store would call me back. I then called back on Sunday and they gave me the stores direct number, I spoke to a Mbali who assured me someone will sort it out. Now its been a week already and no one cared to even give me a courtesy call. Very bad store management.

Makro Online no delivery after 13 business days, order mak1072643

On Black Friday, 24 November 2018 I ordered a laptop from Makro online . You promised delivery within 7 - 10 working days. By 12 December 2018 I still do not have delivery! On 3 December your courier, Wumdrop, arrived at my business address to make delivery. However, after a brief moment their agent received a message to cancel delivery because delivery has already been made. After several calls (to Makro and Wumdrop) and speaking to a different agent on each subsequent day, and each Makro agent solemnly promising to come back to me "before COB today still" and not once doing so once (!) I am still waiting for my order. Wumdrop indicated they delivered to one Jeremiah - no signature and no-one here knows a Jeremiah. The online status of my order now shows completed. This much each agent acknowledged.

What am I supposed to do?

Makro Online delivery of goods ordered on the 22 november

I purchased some goods on the 22th November. Order number - MAK1047295. I have phoned your call center 3 times. The first time I was advised it will be delivered before last week Wednesday. Yesterday I was advised it will be delivered before close of business today. When I phone a few minutes ago they have no idea when my order will be delivered.

Why do you advertise 7 - 10 working days if you can not deliver. I need a response urgently!

I ordered a notebook cooling pad and it's about two weeks late already. No assistance really except a seemingly copy and paste type of response that they are looking into it. Terrible online shopping experience. Makro, rather do away with the online shopping option and stick to the brick and mortar stores.

Makro Online after sale service/fridge repairs

Good day, on 2 november 2018 I bought a hi sense 359l fridge with water dispenser online from macro order no (mak455005) which have 4years full product warrantytwo weeks ago when I switched my fridge back on after defrosting it over night I noticed that my fridge is no longer making cold. My husband then foned macro cape gate to report the faulty fridge for repairs that was on the 28th november 2018. Then he was told by a consultant that he will log the call with hi sense and that they will contact me letting me kno when they will come out to fetch my fridge. Not hearing from hi sense by the next morning, my husband called macro again the afternoon of the 29/11/2028 and was told that its on the system and hi sense will contact us before they come out. It went on like this from 29/11/18 till 07/12/18 my husband foning every morning and myself foning them again in the afternoon and everytime they telling us the same thing that hi sense will make contact with us. Then on friday the 7/12/18 I decided to fone hi sense who then told me that macro never locked the call with them. My husband then fone macro again and the consultant that he spoke to then told him that according to the system no call were locked with hi sense... This after 1 1/2 weeks of foning macro twice a day can u believe this. He then said that he will log the call and that we will soon hear from hi sense. By sunday 9/12/18 still no word from hi sense, my husband decided to go to macro cape gate personally, where he spoke to the manager second incharge of the store, who was totally surprised about the whole ordeal. He then told the manager incharge of that department to immidiately sort this out. Well today is the 12/12/2018 and still no word from hi sense. Im still sitting with a fridge thats not working and no word from macro or hi sense. Most of my food went off. Christmas is around the corner and I have no fridge. This is totally unexaptable. Ive never ever experienced such bad service in my life.
How long do I still have to wait before I get service from macro?

Fridge bought 02/11/2017*

Today Wednesday 12/12/2018 - still no response from Macro and according to Hi Sense, Macro still didnt logged the call with them. My husband then dealt with Hi Sense directly speaking to a guy called Clint who assisted him by emailing him the necessary paper work to fill in which my husband returned to them today and by the end of today i recieved a sms from Clint from Hi Sense confirming service call tomorrow 13/12/2018.
Thanks to Clint from Hi Sense for your quick response in this regard.

Where Macro Cape Gate concerns im highly disgusted with there service. Poor service indeed. I cant believe that after 2 weeks of phoning the store atleast twice every day and even went into the store to lay the complain i still havent recieved any response/service from Macro Cape Gate. This is pathetic and unacceptable!

Makro Online unorganised, don't care attitude

We went to Makro 8 December 2018, I was so close leaving my 2 trolleys and walking out. It was a very busy day as it normally is month ends at Makro, but this was the worst! Unorganised no care attitude! No trolleys was outside for clients, all empty trolleys was standing around inside Makro everywhere. You could not move between shelves, they dropped bulk stock in each and every passage of the shelves, no packers in sight unpacking! The staff was walking around chatting, holding hands, laughing and when you ask them what is going on, why is no one unpacking and making it easy for shoppers to move around, they just pull up the shoulders and reply "maybe they are all on a brake", SERIOUSLY! 3 Hours brake, ALL THE STAFF? Shoppers could not pass each other, or you could not get to goods on the shelf due to the stock bulking up on the floor. You could not walk through to the next end and go to the next passage as it was blocked with stock bulking up and shoppers who waited to pay at the bulk section, to turn around was a mission! Even the toilets for clients to use was disgusting! It looked and felt like there was a slow strike, and no control! I have never seen Makro like this, and I seriously think that management should take control and stop ignoring the problem or sit in the office doing nothing

Makro Online order number: mak1052310 for mygica atv-495max google certified android tv box

On 22 November 2018 I purchased a MyGica ATV-495Max Google Certified Android TV Box online during Black Friday via EFT.

Makro Card Number: 5203344 Order Number: MAK1052310

It was delivered to me on 27 November 2018 and I returned the product to the Makro store on Wednesday, 28 November 2018 for a refund as the product was not operating.

I was issued a Refund Slip with the Unique Ref: [protected] for the total of R1199.00. (see the attachment below)

To date I have not received the refund to my Standard Bank cheque account number [protected].

Makro Online 18 days and counting... waiting on my online order

I purchased goods online on 22.11.2018 and have not received my order as yet. The call centre staff are clueless and just tells me that my goods are with the courier company and they don't know when it will be delivered. They gave me the name of the courier company, DSV. I then phoned DSV and was told that my goods are not with them. I have called Makro Ottery several times and spoken to Shamiela, Candice and Galiema. They have ALL told me that my goods are with the courier company and that they are sending emails to them and promised to call me back. NOBODY has called me back. It has now been 18 days. MAKRO ... "PAY BACK THE MONEY"...

Hi.

I would like to regester a complaint. I did a online order the 28th November with 7 to 10 workings days delivery. Its chairs that we needed for our christmas dinner. Its been days, not working. But decided to phone makro since i have not heard anything. Only to be told no stock. Thus even my important items that you do have gets delayed due to much lesser important items. I did not get one phone call or email. You could have done so 10 days ago. Knowing there was an issue. I could have changed my order. Instead you make me believe all is in order.

This is unaceptable. Also having known this 10 days ago i could have made alternative arrangements. Your staff cant even tell me if you will get stock soon. I must wait and see.

How do i cancel this? At least get my chairs before christmass? Then delete my account. Ill never do business with you again and spread the word as far as possible.

I have to phone you to find out there is a problem with my ordet, pathetic.
