I'm sick and tired of listening to my commercials in Spanish. I did not sign up for this so why am I subjected to this? Isn't this still America? I understand if I subscribed to a Spanish specific channel but I have not. I'm a full advocate that if you are in the United States then you should be at least able to speak the language when you live. Sorry if I sound too harsh but I'm just so exhausted with everything having to also be in Spanish especially if I haven't subscribed to it. Thank you for your time.

I watch Discover networks with my 9 year old son. lately I have noticed many ads for Juul E-Cigarettes and now I have to explain to my son that even though they are advertised as "good" during our TV shows - E cigarettes are potentially deadly for him.

Discovery Networks - your programming is the best! You stimulate curiousity for millions of children and adults, by doing this you improve our lives. Please stop working with Juul or and similar companies that are trying to sell our children a product that is intentionally designed to be addictive and that will ultimately kill them.

I would like to know the name of the executive that hired their retarded nephew to talk all during the shows I'm watching. Serengeti, Forged in Fire, Deadliest Catch etc. I have to watch these shows with the mute on just so that I don't blow my brains out. I'm trying to watch Serengeti but no CC is available. How stupid is that. You have a [censored] talking a ten thousand words a minute but you can't offer CC? I hope your next colonoscopy goes very badly!

Having a second narrator describing the action & subtitles is truly annoying. Either I have to watch these shows without the sound or not watch them at all. Please advise as to the reason behind this new bizarre addition & if there is any way to rid these shows of it. I believe it should become an option such as closed caption. Having this foced upon us is totally irritating. Unless you are blind or bad eye sight, this is not neccessary.

I positively adored this show. It was healthy, a family show and it also was teaching people how to think and survive. The landscape of Alaska is beautiful, untainted by commercializim, factories and huge buildings. The people who took part in letting us watch their lives were so positive, smart and down to earth, it was a pleasure watching them and we are very grateful for their participation. Please reconsider bringing the show back.

From the cast - who are the most real and humble of any show on television - to the crew - who are obviously dedicated to making this the absolutely best show it could be - to the most stunningly beautiful cinematography ever and the most serene, calming soundtrack, The Last Alaskans has been one of the only shows we always watch, don't delete from our DVR so we can watch it again and again, and the one show whose new seasons we look forward to with great anticipation. To cancel a show that is clearly made with love and is treasured by so many is beyond comprehension. I can only hope that with the deluge of messages of disbelief on Facebook, the growing number of signatures on petitions urging a change in this decision and the complaints submitted here will change this deeply unfortunate choice to cancel this one-of-a-kind television show.

I have read "The Final Frontiersman" and was looking forward to another season of The Last ALASKANS.
This show endures. It is about lost values and humanity.
You cancel the show yet continue with Alaskan Bush People who are not even in Alaska.
Please, return to the Alaskan Refuge. We have watched the Korths and Seldons,
Bob Hart, Charlie Jagwo and others live in this precious area of Alaska which will soon be uninhabited. Please, return to Alaska

This is one of the few quality shows on tv... cancellation is a travesty - a shameful decision in removing a show that brings knowledge, beauty and a new dimension into our homes. Makes me hesitate to watch anything on discovery !
Watching the last Alaskans has brought us into s new appreciation for people living off the land and a greater love in seeing the beauty of this world. With all the garbage reality shows on tv; this was a beacon of light!

I am very upset about the Cancellation of the TV show The Last Alaskans. It was one of the few programs we looked forward to seeing. In our estimation this was the best program on TV. Please reconsider doing away with this series that has become a big part of the American culture for so many of us. The positive public relations this show gave the discovery channel was by far more valuable than the cost of its production. It is a shame for any show with the kind of following this one has to be taken off the air when there are so many shows remaining that are absolutely ridiculous. Please bring back this show. It is the best show i have ever seen in my life. It made my life so much happier and peaceful, after all day going through anxiety and just sitting and enjoying the music, the views and the voices and advices of the people in this show your life changes for the better. I think i will never will be able to go to Alaska, but just imagining my life there, living that simple life makes so happy and just focused on my family. Please bring it back if it does not affect the life of the cast. Thank you for the past seasons and all the love you put into work.

With so much fake and heavily produced "reality" TV, it's hard to find anything that's real anymore not to mention wholesome. The Last Alaskans was truly the only real reality show left. It was beautifully filmed and told such great stories while remaining true to the actual reality. The cinematography was stunning and the narrative soul-warming. It sounds cheesy, but I cannot tell you the peace I always felt watching the show. I am heartbroken that it has been cancelled. Watching those families live such natural, simple lives was beautiful and inspiring. I beg you to renew the show.

(Or at the very least, allow the purchase of the show on DVD so we can reroute it forever!)

Please know of the decision of cancellation of TLA was disheartening. With today's fake, ignorant, non family oriented, non entertaining shows now a days . My self and family really respected TLA for everything that it offered . Being a fellow Alaskan and offgrid owner really brought peace to us . Also depicted that people offgrid were not ignorant in all aspects. Such as "Alaskan bush people" which is just an absolute embarrassment to every Alaskan/ offgrid person! I'm really worried about today's society and also today's entertainment industry if that's the road we're headed down. We're hoping discovery channel realizes this travesty / mistake and can see which show should truly be cancelled. I know the amount of publicity this subject is getting, there's a true reason for this . Please reconsider and make this right ! Sincerely fellow offgrider. Thank you

You completely destroyed serengeti episode2 with you're [censored] and completely unwanted unending commercial crap! What a total shame? It looked like an awesome show until you got a hold of it! You just really suck as you have exceeded my threshold of ability to watch mindless advertisement to an extreme amount of evasion. I guess all I have to say to your boss is [censored] you! I know you can't say that to him, I would, guess that's why they wouldn't hire me to do that job as I have done similar jobs but pussies don't like to hear bad news. Do you have the balls to send this on to your superiors? Maybe somebody low level like the executive producer or director of serengeti? I dare you! If they have the balls to call me then send it baby! Stop on demand commercials! We already pay for commercial free service..,.. I thought? How much is commercial free tv gonna cost? It will be the end of you... Eventually you'll piss off enough people that your business will lose out, then change comes.

I couldn't watch Discovery Channel's Serengeti for more than 5 minutes because of the black and white TV era narration. It describes male lions as ''jealously guarding females'' and ''demanding their faithfulness.'' WTV Discovery! This sounds like a hostage standoff on the local news where a man is holding his ex wife hostage while the SWAT team waits outside. How could you use such a dated and male centered commentary on such a beautifully photographed show? And did I mention dated! I watch a lot of wildlife shows and they usually describe what the animals are doing and why they are doing it, not ascribing human emotions and reasoning to the animals. The only shows I see that do that are shows about cartoon animals and talking dogs.

I was really looking forward to this show, as we spent the best two weeks of our lives on the Serengeti and surrounding areas. While the photography was everything to be hoped for, Discovery opted to create a ridiculous anthropomorphic soap opera out of the lives of the animals. Saying that a baboon "had to focus in order to win back his mate" ascribes human motivation to another species. Giving names to the animals is bad enough, but to then edit footage in order to create ridiculous story lines around them is unforgivable. We dropped the show after the first episode.

You advertised the Serengeti show to start at 8pm. If you meant eastern time you should have advertised as such. Living on the west coast, and with no other indication on your ad, I thought is was advertised as pacific time. I have been looking forward to this for months now. Then, just by chance I turned to the Discovery channel at 5:40 PDT and Serengeti was over halfway through.

I'm very disappointed that you have decided not to renew The Last Alaskans, it is by far one of the best programs you have. In a time when other channels are shoving sex, nudity, language that my family does not care for, we needed a program that didn't glorify that. You have in my family's opinion made a big mistake, we are hoping you will reconsider this decision.

This is sad and a disgrace that Discovery would cancel a quality show like The Last Alaskans but renew the ridiculous Bush People. The audience cannot possibly be equal. There is enough "crap" on cable television. Very disappointed Discovery, does it matter, probably not. Hopefully another channel will pick up TLA. I will not be watching The Discovery Channel any longer.

Could live in the wild, like the Last Alaskans. This show is so entertaining and educational. It shows one of the Last vast places people can/could live. All of the people are great humans, treating people and wildlife with respect. It will be a shame not to be able to follow these people in their adventures, many which could be life changing. Please please please reconsider the cancellation of one of the finest shows on Discovery THE LAST ALASKANS. It was and is one of the best real life programs on Discovery. I realize the logistics of putting a fine show like this must be immense, however it can't be any worse than some of the other programs on your network. Maybe if you cancelled some of the shows that I'm sure not as many viewers watch like Alaska Bush People, which is no longer filmed in Ak. It's now Washington state. Aron Kaufmam needs a job, I mean really who doesnt need a better job. Naked and Afraid has definitely run its corse. I could go on but I believe you can understand my point. The FINEST shows on the Discovery channel are based on the Alaskan way of life. PLEASE RECONSIDER. Thank you for the opportunity to voice my opinion. Maybe you should have a website so folks can vote on ALL the shows on Discovery to find out what us the viewers like. Thanks again.
