Walmart not accepting bottle return slips

I recently did some bottle returns at the Utica Walmart and forgot to use the slips their when I shopped. I just went to the Oneida walmart and decided to use them for my purchases. They refused to use them. Said that it was "the Oneida store Policy" that they would not take the slips from another store. I think that this is rediculous. They were walmart slips...they should be able to be used at ANY Walmart.

The store is credited for the bottles that are returned. If you give them 10 bottles, they get 1 dollar, and they give you that one dollar to use for your purchases in the store.

If you go to another store, that store did not get the credit from your bottles, and is obviously not going to hand you free money.

That's not how it works. It's given to you as a reimbersment for the 10¢ fee. There's a $10-25 limit for the store and the only have to accept cans or bottles they sell. There's absolutely no requirements to spend the money in the Walmart.

My complaint is about your store in general, your workers are idiots. I bought myself an xbox headset and the package looked open to begin with but i said screw it it obviously works if they are selling it to me. It was junk and i brought it back. I upgraded to a pair of turtle beachs this time and this box looked like it had been open too. I asked the lady about it and she said oh we dont put open items back on the shelf..yeah okay. This time the wire that it came with had a broken end to i had to spend extra money for an adapter, that pretty scumbagish to sell broken ### thats been opened. especially when i can tell its been opened right from the get go.

Walmart the new packaging

First off I LOVE Walmart and this is more of a suggestion than a complaint. When I first saw all the white cans, boxes and containers with the navy writing I said what is this?

Everything looks so low budget and generic. Taking the color from the products is kind of confusing for instance green beans, the whole had a orange background, the no-salt had blue, the cut had green and the french style purple. Now they are all in white cans with navy writing.

Don't get me wrong I am not to lazy to read the contents of the product, which takes time, it's just that it looks better overall.

I have spoken to many family and friends and they agree. I don't know whose idea this was or if it saves a lot money, but please reconsider. I love the Great Vaule Products. Thank You!

Walmart poor customer service

I recently went to this WalMart to get an oil change. Being a wise consumer I called ahead due to it being a holiday weekend and asked what time they closed. I was told by the person who answered the phone 6 p.m. I proceeded about 2:30 to go the service center, walked in and was greeted by satan herself. I stated I was there to get an oil change and she said "NOT TODAY YOU WON"T WE ARE CLOSING" I didn't say another word because it I had and she responded inapproperiately I was not responsible for my actions. I know these people are not paid much and have limited social skills, but i Feel that WalMart belives it is the only place in town, and there for not responsible for good customer relations or service. I am sick and tired of WalMart and the I want then to know they are not the only game in town. I will forever take my business else where even if it cost me more money. If people don't take stand this will only get worse.

SICK and Tired of the foolishness

the walmart at clearfield Pa. sucks . i went there to try and find some boots for my boys and wouldn't you know it all they had was a lot of shoes for girls and woman, witch averaged about 85% of their shoe department. for men and boys all they had was cheap sneakers and work boots. no winter or hiking boots. then i went to their sporting goods department witch is another joke, most of the stuff they carry is junk or stuff people don't use. it is bad enough we only have 2 other sporting goods stores in clearfield, witch are overpriced as is. needless to say, they carry what they want, but not much of what we need. if you ask someone to try and find something in back all they do is go have a smoke. but some of the people that work there are really nice, but they are the ones that are left go.

Walmart unfair treatment

i have been a cashier at walmart for almost two years. i am qualified to be a CSM and have passed the test for it. my IPH is somewhere around 1, 000 (which basically means that im really fast.) i started on oct 2nd 2007 and i was fired aug 31t 2009. 3 days shy of being one month away from my two yr anniversary. my CSM tells me 10 min before my shift ended, that i was wanted in the office.

i went back to the office and the first thing i saw on the screen was "notice of separation from walmart INC"

they told me that i was away from my reg too much. that and i was doin homework on my last break so on accident i took a 33 min break instead of the allotted 15.

they mainly fired me because of "being away from my reg too much" wat the heck...are you kidding me? such bull ###!

ok, when i say that i have a 1, 000 IPH...the required IPH (items per hr) is 420.

i have about 100 costumers that earch me out when they shop because they want to get in and out fast! sry guys im not there anymore

Well you were being payed to be at your work station, And you are only allowed the alloted breaks, And the company does get alot of crap about poor service, And there are others that would gladly fill the position.

some advice, , , the next job you have you need to realize that, No matter how fast you are, if you are not at your work station you are of no value to them,

2nd..taking longer at breaks weather it is 2min, or 2 hrs...it is called time theft, which means you are clocking full days hours when in fact you are not working a full day, , Kinda like fraud...just an observation.

Walmart did not want to exchange

Well my local walmart store did not want to replace my battery, that it's still under the three year free replacement warranty, because I didn't have a receipt. The battery has the production sticker of 08/07 and I showed them but still they wouldn't take that. I asked them if they could look up the transaction since I payed with my debit card. They rudely said no. Which I think it's bs. They can't look up a transaction that was made two years ago but they f$&kin' expect to keep a damn little piece of paper. Wow walmart, you lost a customer. My wife works at a department store and they're always looking up transactions of people that don't bring their receipts. I'm going to call corporate.

Certainly WalMart has some sort of regulations that keep track of returned or refunded items. I can't believe the employees just throw things away. Because then 'Bob and Jim' and others like them could pull scams as explained in the story.

I don't think WalMart became the ultimate giant mega-store it is by letting employees pull such 'easy' scams.

I have a car battery to exchange (not refund) that is only a year old. I also cannot find my receipt. I am hoping my WalMart treats me better than LakerFan210's WalMart.

Cry Baby! Store Policy Clearly Written at ALL walmart stores is ALL RETURNS MUST HAVE A RECEIPT. See what this does is eliminate situations like the followuiing... Jim and Bill are best friends! Jim works at walmart and Bill is currently unemployed. Bill and jim come up with a scam that whenever a customer (that has a receipt) returns a battery for warranty, Jim will put the battery out back behind the dumpster, and then Bill can then pick up the battery and enter the store and just show up without a receipt and get his money back! NOW DOES THAT SOUND LOGICAL TO YOU! Man now Bill doesnt need a job, he just waits for Jim to put those batteries behind the dumpster so he can collect his pay check! HAHAHAHAHA

We live in Palm Desert Ca and the Super Wal-Mart on highway 111 in La Quinta has always had bad meat. Even their Walmart branded cans of vegetables are short weighted. We have since switched to WinCo and we love it. Prices are better and the staff SPEAK ENGLISH whereas at Wal-mart your lucky to find someone who can answer a simple question.

Walmart slander

On Friday August 21, 2009 shortly before 9 PM, my daughter and grandchildren visited the Enid, Oklahoma Wal-Mart. My 5 year old grandson Charlie has a form of Autism called Asperger's. There are times when the weight of his clothing is too much for him to bear and he will remove his clothing. There times Charlie will either become afraid or over-stimulated by loud noises, crowds, and being touched by strangers, and this will set him to stemming and verbal noises. Charlie has a phobia of using public rest rooms, mainly because of the echoes that are magnified from the busy store. On the 21st, Charlie was wearing a t-shirt, shoes and a diaper; all of which was purchased from that very Wal-Mart. His hair was washed with shampoo purchased at Wal-Mart, as was the lotion on his skin, the soap he was bathed with.. well you get where I am going with this, right? Wal-Mart is one place where Charlie has felt safe, because his mother, uncle, and myself worked at the same Wal-Mart in Hillsboro, Texas until we moved to Enid. On this particular evening, my daughter was standing in line at the Pharmacy when an Associate, also in line, began to tell the cashier about the 6, 7, or 8 year old wearing a diaper, how the parents didn't care for him or they would potty train him or not bring him to the store in a diaper, among other things that were inappropriate on many levels. These things were said in the presense of customers, employees and the mother of the child in question. Shortly after this event, I entered Wal-Mart to pick up a few items for the weekend. I was greeted as usual by the friendly Associates when I heard my precious Charlie call my name. My daughter had been crying as a result of the verbal slandering she had witnessed at the Pharmacy. Being a former Vision Center Associate, I know that Wal-Mart takes every opportunity to educate the Associates on proper conduct and customer service. I was not upset with Wal-Mart, simply the offending Associate. I went to the Customer Service desk and spoke with Mel, the night manager who assured me that they would take care of the situation. Mel said that she believed that she knew which Associate had slandered my daughter and grandson and that it would be addressed as soon as the manager came in. I called to speak with the manager on the 22nd, and spoke with Lori, the assistant manager who then promised that the matter would be resolved as soon as she spoke with the manager on Monday. I asked for an apology to my daugher and grandson. Lori said I would hear from the manager on Monday the 24th. Here it is, Saturday August 29, and no one has returned my phone call as Lori promised. I gave her my cell and work numbers, and (husband)'s cell. I am now, not upset; I am mad! I will have an apology for my daughter and Charlie from Wal-Mart. I will be attending the 4R Kids Walk on 9/19/09, I will share my story with this group, on my blog, Enid News & Eagle, Autism Society, and anyone who will listen... Carla J. Price

I wanted to update the Enid Walmart post and to thank everyone for reading and posting. While I do not agree with everyone's opinion, you do have a right to speak your mind. I especially would like to thank Helen.
My husband sent letters to Walmart, organizations and public representatives only to receive one response. Oklahoma State Representative John Enns' office responded and within a few hours my husband and daughter received a phone call from Enid Walmart Manager Les. He said that he did not know anything about the situation until he received a phone call earlier that day. He did apologize to my daughter.

Walmart is one big bullseye for every woman who have children with PROBLEMS... These 'mothers', who have a pshchologically-impaired, dysfunctional ego and paranoid psychotic mentally-imbalanced problem themselves, must SHARE their unfortunate life with the public... and Walmart is the place for them to do it. They bring in these children and CUT THEM LOOSE... and when someone, anyone, customer, and especially someone who is an employee there, says ANYTHING at all, then that is the mothers' psychological VENTING opportunity to SHARE with everyone, and she "gets-it-off" with all the gusto that she can expound. ... Happens daily. ... Watch for it... Sometimes very 'entertaining'.

yes the worker should have kept his mouth shut but there is a law that states plain and clear no shirt no shoes no service as well as it is not right for any child to be with out pants in public i have a child of my own that dont like clothes for whatever reason but he is made to wear them anytime he is in public you do need to think that if everyone was to start bringing there kids out in public with no pants the next step is doing it in the winter when kids should be bundled up to stay warm so you need to look at both sides not 1 i would not have said that to or around your anyone but i would have been thinking the same thing

The 'mother' disregards the "NO SHIRT... " policy. She herself has a 'problem' and attempts to alleviate her 'problem' (a psychotic-paranoid imbalanced dysfunctional ego problem), where she attempts to 'expound', releasing the 'pressure' by attacking anyone who is 'normal' and/or may seem superior to her or her 'children'. ... Happens all the time in Walmart. ... watch for it... sometimes very 'entertaining' ... can't get it on TV.

Agreed, the Wal-Mart associate should have kept her mouth shut and her opinions to herself, but maybe your daughter should have tried to get Charlie to wear shorts or some article of clothing while shopping out in a public place. Not everyone will know Charlie has problems but will see an obvious 5 year old out in public basically indecent and in diapers. I find myself thinking it's ridiculous to see a child about 4-5 years old with a bottle or pacifier. I'm sure I would have felt the same way if I saw Charlie in a store unclothed and wearing a diaper with no bottoms on.

Walmart overcharge

I was sold a pair of glasses containing "Digamax" that was supposed to enhance the peripheral vision. When the glasses arrived, I wore them as instructed and had difficulty driving because of the "fuzziness" in my vision. After attempting to adjust for 2-3 weeks, I had my vision retested and the glasses checked. One lense was defective and was replaced. However the vision problem continued. I was told by the centers employee that if I was unable to use the glasses, they would remake them without the Digamax and remove the $300 charge from my credit card. I tried for another 2 weeks and had the glasses remade. New glasses were fine but the charge has never been returned and the employee has left the company. New employee will not do anything about the situation.

Walmart bad store manager

I just recently got fired for speaking the truth. I had been with wal-mart in wharton texas for several years. They just recently got a new store manager and he has brought the moral down even more. He has a habit of yelling at associates in front of customers and he has the assistant store managers working 16+ hours a day and one assistant was on vacation and made her work. He would always tell me that he would fire me at any chance he got. Forget the open door policy it sucks you are opening yourself for retaliation so nobody says nothing. Employees are leaving the store crying and it is sad. I finally spoke up and look at me. I went and complained about him and of course it got back to him and that was the end of the story. I feel for the good employees who are trying but they are the ones who are getting yelled at. Beware of the Wharton Walmart!

I worked there also and had a male employee as I am a female start harrassing me sexuall. So in result I told the assistant store manager and they did nothing. Their solution was putting me working the same hours as him where I had to go back and forth from his department. Finally I spoke up and told him he needs to figure out where to place me because I do not want to work with this employee and his answer...well stockers work everywhere he won't bother you. So I did the next best thing and decided it was time to leave. Mind you I only worked there for maybe 3 weeks.

I and my husband both bought cell phones @ Walmart in store. I live in Vermont, and I just wanted a phone to access certain things and stay connected. So within the first three months I missed calls and didn't think anything of it until I was waiting for a very important call and realized the phone wasn't ringing. It's a defect and then contacted the care plan company assurion.. It was then I was informed that since I didn't break the phone, and it was under one years time, it falls under the manufacturers warrantee.

I then called a different number and they told me I had to ship it back to them. What was I suppose to do without a phone then? Not there problem, so I explained it was unacceptable and then was assured that if I had another arraign talk phone I could transfer my current service, which is what I did. The next day I received an email, alerting me that a refurbished phone was on the way. I contacted straighttalk that night, online chat. I explained that my phone had a defect, it wasn't broken, or damaged by my own doing and a refurbished (used) phone isn't part of my purchase contract since I'm not obligate to accept a less than purchased replacement. I get a claim number...and then promised someone will contact me from corporate. No one has and it's been 4 days,
When I purchased this phone I purchased a care plan, sold by walmarts sales person and told it will cover all issue accept lost or stolen issues additional to manufacturers warrantee. Lie . So now I have a refurbished phone I don't want, and using an outdated phone prevents me from checking my emails and Important calendar events etcetera . Now what? So even though they told me I was covered, apparently that's not true if you purchased a defective product. False advertising and fraud.

We had 42 inch Hanspree TV that would not have video at times when turned on. We called Walmart
product care and a box and UPS shipping label was sent to us in December 2013. This was during the Christmas rush when UPS got behind schedule. After a few days, our TV was returned to us unrepaired and now had a busted screen. The warranty company, which is New, said that they do not repair broken screens. We told them that we did not send it broken and that it must have been broken in shipment by UPS. They told us to file a claim with UPS, who in turn told us that since we were not the ones who initiated the shipping label we could not file the claim. After hours of talking to many different people at New asking them to file a claim, we finally talked to a man named Rick who told us that New would not file the claim with UPS and further that New would not honor the warranty. We now have a broken TV and worst than that, a broken trust in Walmart product care. Don't buy extended warranties from Walmart.

I was gifted a hp laptop and a 2year product care plan from wal-mart.

Well I had the product from the end of March 2007 to around September 2009. the plan kicked in late march 2008. This is a terrible warranty they contract to repair centers that can't repair your product their service centers also don't listen or double check, run the proper diagnostics send proper replacement parts" which melt inside your machine". Sure it is easy to call in and place a service order But I had Four separate cases where my product returned as damaged as before not fix or they couldn't replicate the problem. Then I had to send my belongings in to the center.

These cases took up to two months to get threw. I even talked with a Manager that said they would have the problem looked at which never happened when it was shipped it was a waste of my time. So before it becomes a waste of your time really think about the hp, dell, ext extended plan by calling them.

At this point my care factor is very low for buying things from wal-mart also for anyone that fights on wal-mart behalf my care factor to hear you isn't there I REALLY don't care. This is just a review on what they sell.

I got a reimbursement but it was after calling in so many times the plans not worth the stress that comes with it. If you did buy it and got reimbursed good for you I bought a upgrade to my old laptop.

http://www.mediafly.com/Podcasts/Episodes/Episode_13_The_WalMart_Product_Care_Plan

Now I found this online its dated 2007 but i really doubt that it has changed at all.

I can't believe what I am reading about the issues that customers were having with their 42" Vizio TV's.. I am having almost the same exact problems 3-4 years later. My TV is a bit over 2 years old, and one day as I watching TV the power turned off and from there on, it has been terrible. I have power to the TV, but it wil not turn on.
Called Walmart on 10/28/12, and told the Customer Service Department the problem, and she scheduled for a company by the name of ADVANCED TECHNOLOGICAL SERVICES in St. Petersburg, Fl to call me in which they did to tell me that it was not necessary for a tech. to come out, since he believed he knew what the problem was, and that he ordered the part the same day. That day was October 29th, 2012. Today is now November 13, 2012. Advanced did not call me back to tell me that the ordered placed on the 29th was not in stock, and that it wasn't until 11/01/12 that once again the part was ordered, this time from apparently a different place. I still wait!
Back to Walkmart Customer Service----the rep. that you talk to on the phone keeps telling me that they can only do so much. That I agree on, but when the Supervisors for the Product Plan does nothing, but says, we(meaning me) have to wait, until it comes in, then he's no better. You wouuld think that the Supervisor would do more! Find another TV repair shop that would be able to get this done!
Only suggestions that I have for all of you out there, especially you southwest/central Floridians, don't buy a Vizio, however if you should, don't by the extended warranty at Walmart. and if you do and there is problems with the TV that require parts, be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait.
ADVABCED TECHNOLOGICAL SERVICES doesn't care about us, the consumer.

My husband & I visited a Savannah Wal-Mart last Friday, we shopped & checked out &left when we got home we were missing several items we had purchased. I then called back to Wal-Mart's to ask if we had left bags there & did someone turn them in/ they informed me they were there & I would need to bring my receipt & return to get them. I asked if my daughter could pick them up for me because she lives in Savannah, they told me they must have the receipt. We live in Clifton, Tn & I thought that would save me a trip (however they did not care I had to make another trip the next day). I returned to Wal-Mart the next day & went to the service desk to pick up the items with my receipt, The lady was very nice but told me items had been put up. I then had to go all thru the store to locate these items & return to the service desk.
We also had other items we had got but I am sure the person behind us got them because they were not on our receipt, before leaving the check-out line I asked the lady if that was everything & she said yes.We spend a lot of money at Wal-Mart's & this disgusted me, Wal-Mart is not for family or I would not have to go thru all that trouble after having a brain hemmorage & having to do all this again.I cannot drive yet due to my condition so my husband had to made the same trip also--gas from Clifton to Savannah is not cheap-then back to Savannah gas is not cheap. The other item we got no telling what happened to them. Wal-Mart, I will not visit you as often now.

I wish I had read these comments before I purchased a Vizio 42" Flat Screen and also Wal-Mart's Product Plan August 9, 2009. My problems began November 25 with no picture. I did nave sound, but that went out on the 18th of December. Repairman sent out and main board ordered. Problem not solved with the replacement of the main board. Now I am told set needs Inverter Boards. My compaints sound like others. I too have been told they are on back order. Call in 3 to 5 days 0r call in 7 to 10 days. Here it is Jan 1, 2010 and I have no TV. I am a senior citizen on oxygen and depend on TV for news and entertainment for I am home bound most of the time.
I have also contacted Vizio and in so many words told that once the product is made, any problems should be handled through the extended warranty purchased. Isn't it sad that companies no longer take pride in their finished product? Did Henry Ford turn his back on problems and say to the new owners of his automobiles who had problems, "It's yours now, you take care of it." No, thank goodness. He took pride in his product.
I an a retired educator of 38 years and have had lots of patience until I started dealing with this problem. I am ready for a check in the amount I paid to be given to me and this "lemon" picked up.

Walmart ridiculous practices/deceit/lies/wont pay or stand behind their pay. protection like they said they would after 7 months still have not paid

I filed for payment protection due to losing my job back in FEB 2009 and todate (8/26/09) NOTHING has still been done. I have called and called and called and yet GE BANK who I had been paying payment protection insurance on my Walmart Credit Card will not do what they promised to do and that is PAYMENT PROTECTION. I was told at jump street that if I take out the insurance on the credit card (which I said no to first then actually said yes as the Walmart Credit Card Rep told me that if I lost my job or got sick etc it would be paid off) THAT IS THE ONLY REASON I EVEN TOOK IT OUT. I was paying for it on every cc statement and when I actually did need it and filed for benefits, its now been 7 months and all I am getting and have been getting is a runaround! They have asked over and over and over for document this and that then will ask for the very same thing again and again then lie and say they did not get this or that. I am sick of them they claim they did not get paperwork when they did and it was confirmed. One rep will tell you one thing and another rep will tell you something totally and completely different. One will give you certain dates, notes, etc and then they get amnesia. The supervisors defend their reps and make excuses after excuses and even go as far to say that they dont have the same notes that a rep had just a day or so ago. They give me the VERY VERY STRONG impression that they are trying to NOT pay off my cc balance. Just a few days ago one rep told me that on the 21st that they sent (SNAIL MAIL) to Walmart to request the amount they needed to pay and today (8/26) they are telling me that they are still waiting for me to fax certain documentation when this was faxed already 2 weeks ago and I confirmed it with them then bt now they dont show notes of any of that. I am going to find anyone, anywhere, any organization, agency, or what ever I need to to report this and get to the bottom of this unfair, crazy, deceitful, and very strange questionable practice of doing business. Come ON NOW 7 months?

Ok now today I find out that Walmart has lowered my credit line from 500.00 to a measley 100.00 and I am damn mad. Anyone had this same problem? They are chastizing me for using what I paid for and that is payment protection. I spoke with customer service today and the first guy lied to me and told me that no manager was there to speak with me, until I finally hung up and called back and spoke with Micheal who is a manager who said that one thing had nothing to do with the other, YEAH RIGHT! Take my word for it, take out the payment protection, God forbid you have to use it, then they walk all over you and cancel your credit line. ###! WalMart takes your money for the payment protection and then they take almost a year to actually pay off your balance then punish you by making you send in one document after another after another after another and you get so damn frustrated and often they loose your paperwork (I believe conveniently) and make you resend the same paperwork in again and you keep on waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting, then after 8 months they do pay off your balance as of the date you lost your job but what they LIE TO YOU ABOUT IS THEY PUNISH YOU FOR IT! THEY ARE a liar, and a JOKE! I am going to scream until someone hears me! How can they say they reviewed my file and decided to lower my credit line and lie and say it has nothing to do with me filing (and complaining to BBB/consumer affairs) and even said that it was just coinencidence that they cut my credit line now that I have used what was my right to start with (and plus I had been paying for----PAYMENT PROTECTION). I had tried many times to get an increase in my line just before this all happened and kept getting turned down. WHY DIDN'T THEY LOWER MY CREDIT LIMIT THEN?

Walmart bad managers

I went to wal-mart today to pick up my insulin which I do on a regualr basis from this particular wal-mart. After standing in line for 10 minutes and listening to the lady behind the counter tell the pharmacist that she was assisting that one of their co-workers had "no clue as to what she was doing." And "needed to find a different job if she kept screwing up." I finally made it to the front of the line. When I got there, she told me for the 4th time that they were yet again out of insulin. I asked her to call the other wal-marts in the area to see if they had any. This apparently annoyed her. As she huffed and got on the phone she told me to "move out of the way so she could help the person behind me first." Well, I am sorry, but I had to wait in line so she could assist two other people and didn't get attention when one of the ladies in front of me had to go get something off the shelf that she wanted to add to her purchase. Why should the people behind me be treated any different? This was a 30 second phone call.. that was it. Thats all it took... So I tell the woman that I will just wait on her to get done. Her response to this is telling the pharmacist that "some people are so rude." I kindly told her that if she were going to speak badly of customers that she should wait until they are at least out of hearing range. She huffed again, got the information I needed and I said bye. As I am walking off, I stop and think, "this lady is rude to me EVERY time I see her." So I decided to speak to a manager. When the manager gets there he says "Oh my, she did what?" He was truly concerned that his employee had acted so rudely. So then he says "I need to speak to her, which one is she?" Well, he is an african american/black/colored man and so was the lady in questions. Now, I never point people out and say "thats them.. that (BLANK) person right there." I prefer to mention a person in other ways, such as "the lady behind the counter that isn't the pharmacist." OR "The lady thats not in a lab coat." And even "the only person back there besides the pharmacist." I guess that he had no clue how to deduce who is might be back there without a name or better description. 2 people. 1pharmacist + 1 person that is obviously NOT the pharmacist. Its not rocket science here. After the 4th time he asked me who the person was I stated, "the colored lady." Okay.. so forgive me. I felt cornered with the question. I said the first thing that came to mind. I remember thinking, what should a person say in this situation. I chose, and apparently I chose wrong. However, I said I was sorry to him. (And I was.) I didn't mean dissrespect. He quickly filled me in that I should have said "black lady." Well okay. I told him I was sorry and that I didn't know. Perhaps if I had been older I would have known the reasoning behind why it bothered him. However, I am not, so I didn't have a clue. At this point, the man looks down at me, calls me ignorant (which I admit I was, but having never been in that position, would 100% of people known just what to say?) Anyway, he calls me ignorant, and then proceeds to tell me that I need to get the hell out of his store and never come back. Ok, so that shocked me. I said I was sorry. I stayed calm. I never raised my voice. Never said anything to make it seem like I had malicious intent, and yet there I was getting escorted out of the store by a man who had just cursed at me and called me names (while meaning to do so.) When I got home I called the 1800 wal-mart number and asked them to send me a letter stating why exactly I was banned from the store. They asked for my name and number and within 2 hours the SAME man called me to tell me that he "stood by his decision" and that every statement I made was false. I do not think that he should have been given my number. I personally think that he took what should have been a simple complaint and a silly faux pas that was appologised for and turned it into a race war. I was completely shocked.
After I called the number again to ask them why this man was bothering me over the telephone I was told that the complaint would be sent to his manager. I hate complaining. I hate that I even have to. I hate that this man could potentially get in trouble or even fired over this. But what I hate the most is that he acted as if I had done it on purpose. I didn't mean any harm. --And now I am apparently banned from Wal-mart because he got offended. Blah.

I have an idea ... what if everyone who came in contact with each other inside the store has to be nice ... no matter what ...
I know it is a concept some can not do but maybe it should be a law because on both sides we have some down right nasty people

I was hired as a seasonal employee. I have to say that as of tonight i was told that i was no longer needed with the season being over and I am happy to have been let go. I was hired December 4, 2012 so I only worked there a little under a month and i swear it felt like a month from hell! I was hired on the third shift which is 10pm til 7am and I must say that there is a monstrous Shift Manager named Sam that is seriously in need of training on so many levels. This person (I refuse to cal him a man since he doesn't even act as a decent human being) is rude towards employees and customers alike. His authoritative decree is that third shift should be deaf mute lemmings. We are not allowed to help customers because " we are stockers". If we assist a customer he considers us not doing our job, although i went through two and a half days of CBL's which are computerized tests that stated "Customers are always right" and "Customers come first". Apparently that is only for the first and second shift associates as I was told. Sam is mean, rude, condescending, embarrassing and will put a person down for no reason at all. I actually asked a few of the associates why he was so mean and why it seemed as if he had it out for me. I was told that my first mistake was being nice to him because he saw me as an easy target. I feel so sorry for alot of the employees that i got to know because if he treats them half as bad as he treated me then they are going to have to live in pure hell. I cannot stress enough just how horrible this particular work environment was. I have never in my life been so belittled and humiliated while working my ### off for a company. The location i worked at is Lansdowne Station in Baltimore, Maryland. I would suggest that if anyone attempts to get a job there that you do not under any circumstances apply for the third shift. I was warned on my first day that there had been a multitude of complaints against this man, and I asked then why is he still there? I was not given a response, just a look. I guess I should have asked who were the complaints from and what were they in reference to. I can honestly say that i shall never work for this location ever again unless major changes were made (which I can almost guarantee that won't happen) and I will have to make a big decision as to whether or not I will ever shop at this location again. I will say this much, while defying the ludicrous demands of not helping customers, I enjoyed every single customer that I encountered and never found any to be rude or mean.

i was employeed at this company for around 1yr. i was expected to carry my entire depts work load for all 3 shifts. and unload trucks. and "bin" the merch. which is scan in merch into steal using a hand held computer. I was attacked by another employee in the dairy cooler. i was squated down putting bacon in bottom bins which is where it should goe because of being a raw food. a second shift employee who had worked that day and left at 10ish. came back in at 115am went into the dairy cooler sneaked up from behind me and wraped his arm around my neck pulling me to my feet (while choking the bejezzuz out of me) screamed in my ear "give me all of your f***ing money". i elbowed him in the stomach. and ran to the manager. told him what happened and who did it. The entire situation was ignored for 6weeks. i had to continue to work with him an hour every day. walmart tried to shove this situation under the rug because said employees mother is a dept manager and is activly engaged in a sexual relationship with a higher up mngr. so go figure i had to get home office involved. causing said employee to be fired. and the beginning of totally treating me like dirt. i did not envoke or friend or even have anything to do before or after with the ### that choked me. i eventually quit because of choker guy still came into store and stocked me nightly. they wouldnt even make him leave. because oh he is just shopping. he would watch me work for hrs on end never buy anything. so f*** WALLY WORLD UP THERE ###! they really let the ball fall on me.

Funny thing is walmart treats the customers better than they treat their employees i am an employee and I've been one for five years and they treat you like slaves. when you work for walmart you're just a number literally. They treat you like ###. Being in walmart at night is like being in a suffocation tent. the air goes off and it's stale air you're breathing in with all the germs and crap too. the vents don't get cleaned so you're breathing in dirty air but when you call off they give you all hell cause you're suppose to be a slave to them but when they call off it's alright. the people who work their ### off for this company get treated like ### but the people who call off and don't show up on a day to day basis get employee of the month. ###ed up right. I was the nicest person you could find before i employed with walmart now i try to stay the same but it's hard when you've got managers telling you five different things and breathing down your back you'd be grumpy too. I'm from a small town but within 30 miles of my home I've got 5-6 walmarts and it's like they're taking all the economy away. they suck up the money and when the area is dry and dead they move on! I'm not gonna say walmart sucks cause there's a lot of positive things about it but there's more non-positive things about walmart than meets the eye!

the problem with walmart as i have experienced it, ( i work for walmart) is they hire friends of a friend and they reward those lazy ### workers for being lazy and not doing the job that this FRIEND who is in management got them hired to do. So that poor unsuspecting soul who gets hired in to do the same job, who is not a friend of any of the managers, or assistant managers there seems to be 6 to 8 assistants needed to run 1 store. God only knows why that is needed hummm... maybe the store manager could answer that only he or she wont speak about that because, well lets face it it makes their job easier and there is more people to blame ### on. Anyway that 1 employee who believes in an honest days work, gets to do all the work in that dept. while the friends of the manager, get to walk around with a shopping cart and will blatently say "I'm not doin that i don't care what our supervisor said."' all day, or send text messages to the boss who happens to be the one who got them hired in the first place. So if there happens to be a complaint from a customer about their service, maybe the employees are trying soooo hard to keep a somewhat level head and not loose control, that it is hard to be happy and smiling all the time. Imagine if every time up walked into work you had to climb a hill, watch your back and carry 3 people just to get your lousey minimum wage paycheck, while you watch the others backstab, text and kiss ### with your boss and get the pat on the back, when you are working for all of them to get the job done and trying to keep the customers happy.

Walmart rude

When i went in to Walmart in Angelton, TX i was going to buy school suplies. I went to were they keep the list and could not find the school that i needed so i ask a lady and she walks over goes through the list and says guess we dont have it i said is there any way you can get me a copy and she says very rude NO this is all we have and all we are going to put out. I would never talk to a customer that way. So then i decided to check out the backpacks and well there was no selection at all! I go to Walmart a couple of times a week untill they started the remodel. I like change but when you stop carring things like watershoes and when you ask some one and they are rude to you again and you let the manager know and he blows it off. When i had made a complaint in June about how rude the employe was he just looked at me and said ok not ok thank you i will take care of it but ok! I mean come on he should care a little more about his job doent you think? I really think that you should have some one go in to that walmart and try to buy something and see how rude they are. There are plenty of people out there that need and want jobs that i am sure would do a better job then most of the employes that you have in the Angelton Walmart. Please feel free to contact me! Because i will not spend another dime of my money in that store untill something is done about this. And i will be telling anyone who will listen.

I have my daughter prescription glass from walmart their advice to return on the 14th happpened to be closed because its sunday, so i went the next day monday i spoke to this lady is on the phone and asked us to wait we had our dinner at the store and finally went back to asked about the eyeglass, her response is she dont know when the eyeglass is going to come and she dont have idea when its going to come an atitude thats better said than telling us when to call or advise. this type of services is really poor and walmart should designate someone who is educated to handle costumer service. this lady at the visoin center in san leandro should undergo a costumer service seminar. poor attitude and manner towards costumer.

Walmart visa debt card

Both my son and daughter were given the cards as christmas gifts from my brother in law and we called the telephone # on the sticker to activace the cards. They tried several times to use the cards and were denied their transactions several times. I called the # and they wanted to charge to speak to a customer service person so I said no I would check with my brother in law to find out how to use it. I spoke with him and he couldnt understand what the problem was either. The cards were put on the side and never used each card had 25.00 on them. As I cleaned out some papers I discovered the cards once again and realized they expire this month 8/09 so I went on line to see the balance so they bring you through all this crap about they have to text you the balance which I find a crook because what if we did not have texting on our cell phones. They texted us back to tell us to register the cards whic I have done twice already. I resorted to calling the customer service # because I figured 2.00 for the call ok if the card expires they will loose it all. I finally get throug all automated mind you, I never spoke to one live person, the machine now tells me there is no money on one card and the other is over drawn by 9.00. These cards are a rip off the children never used the cards at all. Can you imagine the money these people are making off of people. If 1, 000, 000.00 by these cards and the same thing happens to them they have made 25, 000, 000.00. The card is a rip off the system they have is a rip off and the idea of this being legal is a rip off.. If anyone knows how to resolve this issue let me know please. [protected].

DO NOT BUY FOIL WALMART VISA GIFT CARDS! Unless you like throwing away $50 and $100 at a time to companies who make their money by stealing from Americans! That may be their American Dream, but not ours.

I just opened a Walmart visa gift card
'Gold' $50 02.13.2010. IT was given to me by my sister for Xmas. I finally remembered to bring it today and happened to open it at the customer service department right in front of them. IT WAS EMPTY INSIDE except for the paper cardholder agreement! THERE WAS NO CARD! They said they could do nothing at all! NOT even a phone call. I had to get my sister's receipt for the gift card and take it to the store it was purchased from was all they said they could tell me. IT WAS EMPTY; how can I prove it was never IN there, I asked them? You are my witness, I said.

So I went home already knowing how this is going to turn out. I called the given number on the foil package and the inside card agreement at 9PM at night and of course they were supposedly inundated with calls at that moment and had me hold (music)and then eventually they hung up on me. So what do we do when the public is being stolen from by Walmart and GE Finance Banking $50 and $100 at a time? That's a lot of money, America! I guess the only choice is the Better Business Bureau, and of course our local news channel. It's our only recourse!

Walmart terrible place

A year ago I had my eyes checked at your Rice Lake, Wisconsin store. I got my glasses and had them adjusted and went home. I gave the prescription a couple of days. I called the store and told them I didn't think the prescription was right. They said to come in and they would try to readjust them again. I called them back a few days later and told them that the glasses were not the right strength. I told them that I have worn glasses since I was 9 years old and something was not right. All I got was a run around. They said the prescription was right. I said how you know if you don't re-test my eyes again. They said I would have to pay to have them re-tested again. I said why do I have to pay if the glasses aren't right? They said that how it is. Well I gave up for awhile and called again and got the same run around. I was furious. I gave up. Then called again a month or so later. I didn't get anywhere at all. I just let it go. Well today I went and had my eyes check because I couldn't stand them any longer. It got to the point I could not read what was on T.V. I had to take them off to read a book. It was hard to see the computer monitor with the normal part of the glasses. I would have to use the bi-focal part to see the monitor. Everything was getting a little blurry. Well the doctor said he knew what was wrong with just having the refractor done. He said the strength was too strong. When he lessened the strength I could see so much better. He showed me the difference after he tested them. The only change was I needed was tri-focal and less strength. We trusted Wal-mart and shop there for years and years. I am very annoyed and I'm re-thinking about shopping at Wal-mart.

I had been given a written 'coaching' for something that had nothing to do with why I was terminated. The written occurred on 28 Oct 2008. Then on 20 Nov 2008, I was called to the management office where I was met by two Assistant Managers. One informed me that I was being terminated for not taking a break on 11-10 & 11-14, and that I had taken personal items to the area that I worked in.

I seldomly missed taking a break and sometimes when I did I did so in my assigned area. Even though I told the Assistant Managers that I did take a break, when I used the facilities, got a drink, took medications or sat in the area without doing work. Then I was informed on 11-20 that I had to be out of the area for 15 minutes, that I could not take breaks in the area.

Additionally I told them why I was carrying my personal bag, but one retorted '...you're not suppose to have any personal items. You were seen eating Yogurt (I don't eat yogurt), drinking and getting spray from your bag.' I again explained, what I had done and yes I did have snacks but not yogurt and I did get spray from my bag. The spray was Fabreze, I had been using it ever since I was there as a matter of fact the day associate had been using Oust in the area which I can't handle with my asthma. She said Fabreze would be fine. I retrieved the bottle from my bag because the one we had in the area was empty. I sprayed it and exchanged it for the empty bottle.

The store's Loss Protection individual made copies from the security films, which were dated and timed, showing me performing my assigned responsibilities in my work area. It also showed that I had taken my 'personal' bag, which had my various medications, snacks and a small bottle of room spray.

I had taken my personal bag with me since an episode in the break room in October that made me feel insecure with leaving my stuff in there and the fact that I had multiple medications, some which were used in a nebulizing machine that was also in this area.

On multiple occasions, various Assistant Managers as well as the Store Manager, Co-Manager and other individuals witnessed me taking my personal bag to my work area. None of these individuals questioned why. None said...'don't do that.' I must add that there are no CBL's or specific written guidelines for this area. Its a judgment call as far as I am concerned. Especially since others in this area had since I've been assigned there doing what I had done.

In the time that I was in the area I and others assigned there had been taking breaks in the area, using spray and eating snacks. But that wasn't the way it was suppose to be...according to the Assistant Manager on the 20th. I had done what the others had been doing but I am the only one fired.

Yes it is true that I had a written for something that had nothing to do with the reason listed on the termination sheet. But I feel that the WM corporate office was pissed off because: 1) they had to pay overtime because the local managers failed to enter 8 hours on my work week in the appropriate week 1 of the schedule, thus making week 2 go into overtime; 2) that ever since I had been in that area I had clocked out when my work was done, sometimes 15 minutes early--no one said I could not do this and it did not become an issue until after the 28 Oct 2008 written was issue; 3) that corporate wanted to separate me because of the Oct incident but they had to tred lightly and were thus 'gunning' for me.

I must note that after the Assistant Manager terminated me, she told me to make sure I re-apply in 6 months. Now I find out WM is fighting my unemployment claim.

I have been a shopper at Wal-Mart probably since they have opened up here in Houston. There used to be a time when you wanted to check out it did not take 45 minutes. The store here in Houston, at Almeda, has got to be the worst on here in Houston. I went in today and they only had 2 (yes 2) check out lanes and 1 self checkout line open. Needless to say they had at least 7 peaple in each of them. I went to buy some cigerates and she asked me for my ID, I am 55 years old, and (I wish I did), but I do not look 25 or less. She would not sell them to me until I went to my car & got my ID. Them she would only ring up 1 pack at a time instead of all 3 packs, and I had to pay for each one individually. I will not shop at that store again. I hope for the other peaple that shop there it gets better. I will waste some of the precise gas and go the 2 extra miles to one of the other stores.

First of all, the opticians, NOT the doctors, generally order trial pairs of contact lenses. The real purpose of trial contact lenses are for the doctor to give to the patient at the time of the eye exam for the patient to try. All of the doctors that are in Wal-Mart Vision Centers are independent, licensed, fully insured doctors of optometry (OD), and DO NOT WORK FOR WAL-MART! (Depending on the state the vision center is located, and the laws in effect for that state). After the patient returns for their follow-up (if needed), which is also complimentary, within a reasonable amount of time, it is the patients responsibility to purchase their boxes of contact lenses. Second, trial contacts are FREE. Granted, you may have to wait if the trial contacts are not stocked by the store, but they are complimentary. It is NOT up to the opticians or the eye doctor to give out OR order free trials to patients once the contact lens rx has been finalized because people fail to purchase their contact lenses.

walmart vision center eye doctors are a bunch of quacks! they cant even order trial pairs on contacts like normal dr office...you may have to wait longer and paid a tad more at a real eye doctor but its so worth it if they actually know what the hell they are doing!

Walmart is notorious for coaching people for not knowing that they have been doing something wrong, even though supervisors never made the duties clear to them in the first place, or in some cases, gave them wrong information entirely. They also will not give you any feedback on a daily basis to let you know if you've made a mistake or aren't working fast enough, etc. They will tell you a week or 2 later when they are giving you the verbal or written coaching, thus making sure you are unable to fix the problem before being reprimanded for it. They will ALWAYS take the supervisor's word for things over yours even if they are in the wrong. If you explain health issues to them, they will act like they understand and will say they are willing to work with you to help you keep your job, but will turn around and use those very issues against you first chance they get. I was just fired 3 days ago due to my health problems, and was told I was rehirable in 31 days. (I can have a part-time job, they say.) Yeah, that will pay the bills. In short, no matter how hard you work, no matter how few mistakes you make, it will never be fast enough, hard enough or perfect enough for Walmart.

I feel for you. I really do! I was terminated, separated, let go, fired, back in December 08. I was a meal exception, too many times! Yea, I know. I should have been watching the clock . But you see, that's not me. I cannot leave things undone. I tried to perfect too much. I was a hell of an employee. As I am sure most of us are. When I first started there, someone once said to me, "why are you working so hard? Nobody will notice you." I was not even "working" that hard. Its my nature...hence...my email address. Then I realized, the home office doesn't give a crap what you do. Even some of the assistant mgrs. and Co mgrs. don't really care either. Just as long as you are not making "them" look bad! Maybe I wasn't meant to be there in the first place. "They" contested my UI, 30 days, exactly, after I applied. Christmas was well, non existent. Finally, two months later I recieved UI. Now, just a few days ago, I get a letter stating "Please be advised that the Commissioner has withdrawn the determination...blah, blah, blah. I called the UI office...Walmart is contesting again. I have been taking my dog, sick with cancer, to the vet. I have a huge bill due. How am I going to pay for that? This "Satan" from Arkansas is disgusting! The way the employee's are treated is so damn disrespectful! We may as well all be cattle. If I could stop people from shopping there, I would. After all, 99% of the time I am looking for something, it's not there! I don't know what else to say other than Walmart... If Sam Walton were alive, this kind of crap would not happen. This is NOT what he wanted! Walmart...you suck!

Walmart overcharged

My local Wal-Mart is selling a grill for $19.74 only when the item is scanned at the check-out, it comes up $25. The box is marked $19.74 in large print on all four sides. The cashier was unsure of how to handle the situation and asked two co-workers for advice. She was instructed to change the price to the $19.74 given on the package. I later checked the Wal-Mart website and found the same grill listed at $25. I sent an email to their customer service and was told that "the

price shown around the box is for retail purposes only and does not apply to consumers." I was unaware that the price shown on the package wasn't the price that would be charged. Upon opening the box, I discovered that the grill was stickered with the same $19.74 price as given on the box. I believe Wal-Mart ordered this item specifically for sale in their stores - the box has the odd pricing they are known for and the web address also appears.

This is happening more at Walmart. I put it up to clerical error in the past, but when they look up the mystery item with a weird description ( usually 19.98 or around 20.00,) nothing matches it. The only way I can see around this is to make more trips there for fewer items each time. Walmart counts on people making huge weekly purchases, making people less likely to check receipts right away. You have 30 days for a return, so you can return you nonexistent item and get a real item. Walmart system rings items up with the wrong item number, another way they overcharge you. And the have the ---- to check our receipts? They are stealing from us. They have theft insurance for shoplifters; they want you to think theft is the only reason their prices are through the roof.

I bought 6 curtains at Walmart in Alexandria, VA. The cashier charged me for 7, when I asked her to correct the charges, she was very rude and was not willing to correct her mistake. She keeps telling me to go to customer service, which had a much longer line of people waiting than the cashier line. Walmart need to train the cashiers not to overcharge.

When Wal-Mart initially installed the self-checkout, they had staff standing by to help the customers (until they would work out the quirks in their new system). I ran my card once. The clerk had to come over to help, as they were having to help with many of the customers who were checking out at the new self-checkout systems. She went to run the card again. I said, 'I've already swiped it' (in my gut I immediately was leary that it could charge me again for the second swipe). She said it was ok. When she'd swiped it again, she still could not get the transaction completed. There was no problem with my account; as I had more than ample money in my checking to cover my purchase, plus overdraft protection anyway. After the second time with the system stalling (or whatever the problem was), she wanted to swipe it again. I told her that I needed to be sure it doesn't charge me again. She said, 'Oh, it won't.' Somehow, in my gut, I just had a feeling it might be charging me for every swipe. Altogether, she swiped it 3 times. She finally got the transaction to complete, and handed me the receipt. I always use the debit feature, to come straight from my checking balance; so the accounting available balance is instant, whereas a credit takes numerous days to process through the system. When she handed me my receipt I was charged around $300, rather than what should have been around $90 for the merchandise, which I could see initially on my receipt had this amount. It's like it charged that and then added the additional amount because it had been triple swiped. The total charge was simply around the $300.

I thought to myself that this will be a simple transaction that can be momentarily corrected. I pointed the total out to her and that it had triple charged me and that I needed the 2 extra charges credit back to my account. She tried to 'play around with the system' for just a short bit, to no avail. Then, when she, obviously, didn't know what to do, she told me I'd 'have to get my bank to take care of that.' I've been with the same bank for 20 years; and I knew that this was not the banks place to correct. I also knew that if I'VE submission of my security passcode that the bank honors whatever charge has been deducted from my account. I told her I have to have this credited back to my account before I leave the store.

I asked for a supervisor to come and correct the transaction. The cashier supervisor 'played around' with the system for a while longer than the cashier, but couldn't get it corrected. My teen was with me and she was an athlete with a busy, tight schedule between school athletics and her high school courses. By this point, we'd been at the cash stand for a half an hour. I'm thinking that I have to prepare dinner, and my daughter has homework to do and we need to get home. We usually liked to have at least a little quality time in the evening to just chill together outside the routine daily demands. Then I told them that I need to get home to do things and I needed a manager who could get this reconciled.

A manager came, and between the 3 of them, it took another 2 hours to finally get the error corrected, and a receipt in my hand where they had credited my debit card for the 2 extra charges from my checking account. I'd shopped at Wal-Mart a lot and spent quite a bit of money there, as much as $5, 000 or more each year. I was so disgusted from this incident it was over 2 months before I went back to any Wal-mart; and then it was late evening when something unexpected came up that we had to have, and no place else was open. I'd like to add that I was very leary at the beginning of this transaction error because I'd had a previous problem with a phone-in pizza order. In this instance the girl over the phone was having problems with the system where she kept asking me to repeat my bank card number, because she was 'having some problem with the computer.' I'd asked her if she was running it back through and that I needed to make sure it didn't charge me repetitively. She said no, there would be no charge until she had finalized the transaction. I've used my bank card for so long that I also knew that the bank has a computerized security feature. If my bank's computer identified an out of the norm attempt on my debit card, it will reject a transaction. Then, if I had an emergency, or needed to get gas, I could be stuck not being able to use my bank card until I follow up with the bank to advise them that my card is safe. When I got my bank statement, I was actually triple charged for the pizza. I'd called the pizza restaurant and spoke to the manager, who pulled the transaction in the system and readily could see what had happened. He promptly credited me the 2 extra charges and gave me a confirmation. Always make sure you get receipts, and or confirmation numbers (if a phone transaction), and the name and phone number of the agent handling the matter. I learned from these two experiences: follow your gut and do not simply take the word of a store clerk, particularly with Wal-Mart. They are often not well trained and simply do not know. You must protect yourself by ensuring that your personal monies are in tact.

I'm glad I work at a terrific Wal-Mart! Although in 2 years I have NEVER seen a debit card charge for each swipe! But, the quick remedy for that would have been to call a Customer Service Manager and he/she could have just voided the whole transaction and returned your overpayment.

I understand that you have wasted your time. Besides the waste of time i dont see any other big issues here. As humans people do make faults. And i think she could have been a new employee and she was just learning to use the machines and Walmart system i think. But any how, no offence to you dear author. I have been mischarged and stuff in the past. But i took care of it in a timely manner without a hitch. Nobody is at fault here. What happened to you is an accident. People do get into accidents and i believe its no ones fault, because nobody plans that they should crash into this person at this place at this time today. After all, as human beings, how can we live if we dont cooperate with each other.
