Aspen Dental - rip off

I went into Aspen dental mistake number 1. I got or was supposed to get my wisdom teeth removed . I find out today from another dentist that the Aspen idiot left half my wisdom teeth in on both sides on top. After paying over 6, 000.00 they want more money to fix the problem . Are they stupid or what? I had an emergency dental issue after hours I was not...

Aspen Dental worst experience of my life

I went to Aspen for a chipped tooth. They were first on the list of providers in the area, so I figured “Why not?” Little did I know that I was about to have the worst dental experience of my life. Everything started out o.k. I was scheduled for a free exam being a first time customer. I went in and got my x rays done. Next step was to see the dentist for a treatment plan. I went in for a chipped tooth mind you. The doctor recommends that because my tooth has chipped multiple times that I would need a crown put on my very front tooth(a $1000 procedure as opposed to $200 for filling a chip). I figured the doctor was just doing what was in my best interest, so I naturally agreed. I went back to the office manager who immediately went into payment and scheduling.

So I am here thinking, “great, this is going to get taken care of quickly”. Miraculously, an appointment opened up IMMEDIATELY so that this dentist could get the process started. The doctor ground my entire tooth down to a nub so that I now no longer have a front tooth; only a replacement. I am a fighter and take shots to the mouth from fists for a living. So now every time this crown gets chipped I will be $600 in the hole to replace it. Little did I know that I would be outfitted with a horrendous looking temporary crown for nearly a month. The temporary crown was just a mold of my old chipped tooth. This is part 1.

Part 2. I was scheduled for a cleaning a few days later. I was 10 minutes late due to an accident detour. I showed up and apologized. The receptionist told me that there is no way that they could take be because the employees were going to lunch. In what world can an employee not push lunch back 10 minutes? Lunch was at 12. I was there at 11:40. The receptionist told me that they need half an hour to do the cleaning. Now I am wondering what kind of teeth cleaning only takes 30 minutes.

Part 3. The temporary crown-chipped tooth crown (which looks awful to begin with because it is a totally different color from my teeth) revealing the metal inside the tooth. Mildly painful and looks even worse than before. I should have just stayed with the chipped tooth at this point. I called to attempt to get it fixed asap being around the holidays. They tell me it will be at least a week. I JUST SAID I WAS IN PAIN! A FREAKIN WEEK!?

Part 4. Rescheduled cleaning- 2 hours out of work. Chipped temporary tooth fix- 2 more hours off work. Permanent crown installation- 3 more hours off work.

Being late is not ok, because then they have to push back the other patients who are scheduled after lunch, I don't think that's fair!
Oh and temporary crowns never look as good as the permanent ones, that's why they are temporary and the fact that it's a different color than your other teeth is quite normal-again it's a temporary so it's not the final product. I work at another dental office and people like you annoy me! Get your facts straight and learn to be responsible and leave to your appointments earlier and if you end up having to be rescheduled due to an accident detour, suck it up and be a grown. Nobody is going to give up their lunch break because of you, I never would.

You have to have a crown on a root canaled tooth and any dentist that tells you otherwise should have their license taken.

I went through hell with the Fort Myers Aspen Dental Office. I was charged over 4500 out of pocket. I was sent out for my teeth extractions because I am a heart patient and they wanted to pull one at a time, WTH were they thinking and the Dentist told me herself that she was uncomfortable with my heart Hx and I needed to go have them all done at once which cost me another $490 out of pocket and then due to Aspen using up right away my $1500 insurance allowance I am now paying a almost $800 balance the SWF facial Surgery. OK, I had 4 front vineers put on, wasn't told they would widdle my teeth down to sticks (horrified) and they keep failing off and not even a year old. I only did the vineer because they said it would close the space inbetween my front two teeth. Now I have the upside down black triangle. I am so unhappy. My partials look fairly good but you can see all the metal clasp and another (second opinion) dentist said "no, you should not see these" and that they are wrong. My partials are not sharp at all and I have trouble chewing and alos I have to use alot of fixadent to hold the uppers in.

When you try to get in for adustment, you will set for 2-3 hours freaking hours (I have a life). I am trying get anyone that wants to, to join me in sueing their ### for the bad service, Hippa violations (I hear other ppls business in their office all the time), long waiting times, ripped off by them etc. You name it I have experienced it with these ppl. I cry alot because when my vineers fall off in public for no reason (I am and have never been a front biter) I look like a crack hoe. Please contact me at wingsinflight2000@yahoo.com. I want to file a class action suite against Aspen Dental and I want all the ppl hurt by them in anyway to join me.

Aspen Dental wrong denture

To start off with, I didnt have the money for 'wax' fitting. I ended up getting 2 wax fittings because they gave me the wrong denture, so happened to be a co-worker of my husband...a man! After 3 weeks of fittings, the denture is WRONG still and peeling apart & doesnt match to my existing bottom teeth. They blamed my teeth as the problem. BAD PEOPLE/COMPANY

The same thing happened to me. Several wax fittings and dentures that did not match the wax. The dentures must have belonged to someone else because they did not fit. I still have my lower teeth which are twice the size of the teeth in the denture. I cannot chew and have lost 25lbs that I did not need to lose.

Aspen Dental unsatisfactory crowns

I recieved four crowns on my four front teeth only one out of four are satisfactory they are all different sizes the dentist told me no teeth are the same one of my crowns have some kind of metal filling on the back of it, one is very thick and grinds against my bottom teeth, one you can literally see right through it and can see the post, all this for four thousand dollars and these are my front teeth i'm talking about, my job requires one on one conversations with customers every day, so now what, can they actually get away with this? Where do I go from here? Ive been told by co workers to contact an attorney, I'm looking into it.

Aspen Dental bad service, crroks & shysters

What a bunch of crooks! After paying an $1100 copay for 3 cleaning sessions (1 cleaning) and pre-paying for 3 fillings, a tooth broke. When I went for my first filling, I asked if they could work on the broken tooth instead of the filling, but not only did they numb the whole side of face first then refurse to work on the borken tooth, by the time they got done arguing with me about how much I have prepaid, they said it was too late to do even the filling that I went there first, and sent me away with a numb face and NO DENTAL WORK! I'm furious. I've asked for my x-rays (a LOT of x-rays) and a refund for my pre-paid fillings. I'm never going back there again. They were rude and really took me for a ride!

Aspen Dental all they care about is money

I will never return to Aspen Dental again. The staff (receptionist, dental assistants, etc) were very nice. The Dentist came in. Did not even say Hi. I did not even know who he was until I got my prescription. He was telling me I need this and that. And that was about to fall off need to get that replaced. With out even touching my mouth at all. Yeah if I need a filling you can tell by the x ray, but you cannot tell me my cap to my tooth is about to fall off without even actually looking/touching it. I went there because I figured that I needed a root canal on my one tooth. Which I do, but that was not even their priority. Did not even check that tooth out. He tapped on my teeth with his tool. No tugging, no jabbing. Just more like counting if anything. Yeah I understand I need a visit to get everything checked out, but if I have been in pain and having problems they should have been a lot more concerned with my discomfort than anything. And help me out. Then when I went in with the lady about costs and everything. She swiped my credit card without letting me know. I had to ask her if she was charging me. And she was charging me for my root canal and crown before I even made an appointment for it. I am sorry, but I will not pay 900 bucks up front without any work being done. Especially since they hardly did anything while I was there. They are money hungry. They do not care.

Aspen Dental x-raying pregnant patients

Aspen Dental insisted that I be x-rayed at six months pregnant. They said without an x-ray they could not even clean my teeth. They said without the x-ray it was tough for them to determine the level of cleaning I would need. I said I was not comfortable with being x-rayed and that I just wanted a basic cleaning and I would return after my pregnancy for an more intensive visit. They said no x-ray, no cleaning. I cannot believe the incompetency and the ignorance of such a practice and I would run like hell or pull out my own teeth before I would ever return or refer anyone to them. What a joke of an establishment...

No dental x-rays reach the fetus. Even the College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists agree on this. X-rays to the mouth just cannot make right angle turns and hit a fetus. Jet flights dose the fetus with radiation, dental x-rays do not.

That being said, I often bend the rules and do a complete exam without x-rays before the cleaning for a pregnant patient, but refuse to see them again after their pregnancy unless I can have current x-rays.

Have your teeth cleaned is NOT like having your car washed.

Aspen Dental dental

I recently had to take myself and my children to Aspen dental as my insurance changed at work. I took my youngest son in on 02/01/12 to which they told me he had NO cavities however I am quite aware that he does in fact have 2. I'm sure they said that due to his age and not wanting to work on a child that young. Then on 02/21/12 my oldest son and myself went in for cleanings. 1st off I never had a cleaning done. 2ndly the dentist and hygienist both told me that my oldest son had 10 cavities that needed to be filled. When I asked if it was normal for 10 cavities to develop in less than 6 months she was speechless. Then I asked her to show me the cavities on the xrays that she had just taken and discovered these 10 cavities. She showed me one as if that was going to quiet me down. When I asked her about the other 9 she could not show me. SCAM they were just wanting more money. All she wanted to talk to me about was how I needed a new denture plate as mine does not fit properly in my mouth. I have had NO problems with my plate and its not in her mouth to know if it doesn't fit properly. Plus I was only there for a cleaning. I will NEVER subject myself or my children to that place.

I went to Aspen dental six months ago for a cleaning, and it was the worst experience of my life. I just went to a different dentist recently and it was such a difference that I have to complain because I am so unhappy of what happened to me. On top of it when I got on here I read one person's comment that is identical to what happened to me. I went to there and saw the same hygenist Wendy, and she scraped my teeth so hard during the cleaning that I was bleeding like crazy and she laughed also. I was crying because I was so scared, she told me it was to much plaque. The other dentist came in to check on it, and said that I may have gingivitis, and I needed to buy this rinse because it will prevent it. I was so scared of having gingivitis, and believed that what she did was to the best interest of me. I then realized from the next dentist that what she did was completely wrong, and that's not how you clean teeth. I am so upset and will never go back there, be aware that place is out for money only they have no interest in clients health.

I made an appointment with this same Aspen Dental in Bourbonnais, Illinois on 2/15/12 for an just an exam, mainly to check them out. I have a regular dentist. Upon arrival, I filled out a number of papers. Everyone seemed very pleasant and friendly. I was put through an xray that circled my head and then to another room where they did an oral exam of my teeth and gums. Next came the expert dentist. The conclusion was I needed all the fillings in my teeth, as I have many, to be removed and replaced as they were inferior. Then I needed 2 back teeth pulled as they were okay but useless to me. Also I needed four of my bottom teeth removed because they are loose and as they needed to scale under my gums for plaque, they would fall out. Then all the teeth left to be scaled for one side and the other. Next I needed a bridge built for those four teeth that had been removed. Next was the stop to the Finance Manager and their results. This would take about 3 months and $5, 000 which I could pay through Chase credit at 14.9% interest for 5 years. By the way, I am 71 years old and live on social security and work part time. I had to give them my social security number in the papers I filled out which would have given them my high credit score, this wouldn't have anything to do with this deal, "Would it?"

Aspen Dental services

Went to aspen dental because of bottom teeth problems and appt set up for nov 2011. After I signed in and told them I was there it took them 2 hours before I finally asked why I havent been called. The secretary or what ever she was turned red and went in the back. That was the first problem! They were told I wasnt there. Hmm secretary for what if she dont look at sign in sheet or get your chart out. Well then they rushed and got me in and two and a half hours later dental work supposedly done. Good Right? NO I forget to mention for my time they gave me a 50.00 rebate and appology for forgetting I was there. So onward we go a month later my teeth start hurting again and all the way thru chrismas and new year while I was out of town I dealt with Tooth ache. I believe they never fixed the problem in the first place just done some caping which has me worried now I have to find another dentist to find out whats goin on because I dont trust them. Now the next thing is my bill is messed up and have called and they said the person for billing is busy and will call me back. Weeks later still havent heard from them and I still havent paid my bill. What you think is gonna happen they send me to collection or do you think they will get there head outta butt and call me. I doubt it so here we go Aspen try it!c

I had a dental emergency (pain & apparent infection) for which I needed immediate attention. I called Aspen Dental and they said, "YES", they could see me "today, " THAT AFTERNOON. I drove several miles to the Aspen office, expecting relief from my pain; but when I arrived at the appointed time, I was told "NO", they couldn't see for another week. I asked why they agreed to schedule me today if they, in fact, had no openings, they blamed it on their "call center" - no apology - the receptionist simply shrugged her shoulders. Ludicrous! What a ridiculous way to run a business. These knuckleheads lost a potential customer for life.

Aspen Dental hidden cost

We are are on a fixed income, when I went to Aspen dental they wrote up a contract for me so that I knew exactly what I would have to pay out of pocket. After receiving my money all of a sudden there were extra cost. (for exams ect.) I was assured at the time that all was included in the $3200. which they have received. Now they claim I owe them additional money as they did not charge me for any visits for exams or more xrays? Why pray tell wasn't this included? If I went in for surgery then any follow up visits in regards to that surgery is on the doctor not me.. Bad business practice, Hidden cost.

I must agree in saying this is the biggest scam yet. I can only add that it a personal choice if they want to try using Aspen but in my opinion go to a real dentist office where the Dentist creates your treatment plan not the office staff. They try to sell more services than needed.

I too went to Aspen Dental, in New Hartford NY, I was told my dental work would be 219.39 out of my pocket before insurance. Now that the work is done the I owe them another, 414.00 dollars. My insurance does not now where they came up with the figures for the quote they gave me. And to top it all off, since they have done the work my tooth has been killing me.

Aspen Dental poor workmanship

I, too have had bad experiences at Aspen Dental. My teeth never fit correctly and hurt my gums constantly to the point that I couldn't even put them in any more, I am very aggravated that they have my money and I have teeth in a container that I can't use. The commercial on TV annoys me to no end. "bring your smile back" my ###. I am so aware of what I look like when I smile, when I talk and whenever I open my mouth, with fangs sticking up from my lower gums. I couldn't eat and I lost a lot of weight, which I couldn't afford to do, I went to Aspen Dental and they removed 22/23 of my teeth and I went through the whole temporary dentures and adjustments, coming back 3 to 4 times a week. During the process I blacked/passed out several times and one time I broke my jaw. That was it, they didn't know what to do for me because I couldn't open my mouth as wide as before I broke my jaw. I want to eat, I want teeth, I want to talk to people and SMILE and not be embarrassed to do so. Please, if someone knows what I can do, I would greatly appreciate it so very much, My name is Debra Dziamski. I live in Niagara Falls, NY.

Went to the Aspen dental in Oswego NY for a filling.they said I needed a partial on top and two teeth pulled on the bottom. I had the cleanings and was told my right tooth on top was lose and the partial would support it . Went to another cleaning some where else and was told that the partial would make the tooth worse, Partial is now in the garbage. On the lower teeth the two teeth were removed and was fitted for a temp partial. and they broke in half . I then asked for a bridge they fitted it for me and it works great and they did a great job. Then at last I got my filling done.I spent over 5, 000 for the work and had to pay for the fitting of the lower partial that fell apart and 1, 500.00 hundred for the upper partial that is going to make my one tooth worse.Take my advise go get a second opinion from another Dentist. Aspen Dental dental work

I started at aspen dental becuz of a promo they were having at $ 19 first office visit...of course they found enuff problems with my teeth that the bill end up around $ 1500.00 which i have been paying on for the past year and a half. The dentist i saw at the time made a one tooth partial for me and said that i would come back in for adjustments, but they never scheduled an appointment for me, and i was unclear that i wuz the one that needed to come in to have the adjustment done. Later on the partial got so tight that i couldn't get it out, when i tried to pull it out it pulled a crown that i had in my mouth out. They glued the crown back in for me for free but it later fell out while i was eating bacon. When i returned at a later visit the dentist that i went to was now gone and of course the story from the current dentist was that he was working somewhere else and was waiting to take her place after they had the operation going. The business was like only 18 months old. Anyhow, they refused to take any responsibilty for the missing crown that popped out and wouldn't discount me any for replacing the crown with a new one which really ticked me off. The partial they had made for me the tooth was one of my two front teeth and the partial tooth looked skinny and out of place. On top of this I had $ 500 of work done on periodontal disease that i had, the company never called me after this to remind me of the six month cleaning which they had scheduled. That's the worst customer service in my 33 years of going to doctors, chiropractors, and other dentists that i have ever received. The good companies that are in operation call with a reminder about your appointment a day or two ahead of time when you are scheduled. There has been 3-4 different front desk clerks in the front since i have been going there for just over a year. The last appointment I waited til 45 minutes in the waiting room after i was scheduled, then i waited maybe another 30 minutes to see a dentist. It appeared the entire staff had changed over which made me a little uncomfortable. I am headed elsewhere.

I went in there in 2014 to have two crowns fixed. Experience was great. Had no problems. I recently had a piece of tooth break and some sensitivity with it. So I went back in, they filled the cavity and fitted me for a temporary crown. I was in pain since and then my temporary came out during flossing, so I called them and went back in. I explained I was still in pain. Doctor said he had to drill close to the nerve. I told him I have had that done once before and had to come back for a emergency root canal a long time ago. He still said I don't need a root canal. All the meanwhile I'm still in pain constantly unless I take Ibuprofin every 6 hours which I also told him. I finally read some reviews and also talked to co-workers who all said don't go there. Went to a recommended dentist and had a root canal done that day and the x-rays clearly showed being close to the nerve. They have also stated they have fixed numerous problems from Aspen. Called the office to cancel my appointment and the woman I spoke to said it was their legal responsibility to finish the work. I finally spoke with the office manager, John who I've been trying to get in touch with again to find out about my refund. John asked me what do you want me to do with the crown they ordered? I said I don't know, he said it's a simple question. Then I went off on him for being a smart ### with me. How am I supposed to know what he can do with the crown. He then turned it around like I was wrong for yelling at him. First off I already told him I wasn't having the work completed there anymore and to cancel my crown. All this was 4 days prior to my appointment. Then he finally asked me if I would like him to return the crown or send it to me. He told me the other dentist can use the crown. I then told him I would call them and see, to which he replied never mind I know what they are going to say. That they can't use it. The dentist I used makes crowns in their office same day. The last thing he said on the phone before he hung up was he will just return it and refund me. I have yet to find anything out about any kind of refund!

My story is that I went in because I have a tooth ache and with my current insurance they are the only one's in Cleveland, TN that are under it. So, I went in and they diagnosed the wrong tooth and said to take the antibiotics and ibuprofen they prescribed and come back in on October the 1st for a root canal. A week later (today) I called them back to let them know that I could tell they diagnosed the incorrect tooth and that I could not sleep nor eat and asked if I could come in for the "Dr." to have a look at it for a possible extraction as the tooth is about gone. After a few back and forths with the "Dr" through his secretary he stated that he would not see me until the 19th, which is six days away. I will be paying for the better insurance come October when they let us switch and I will never go back to that horrible place again. I waited 1.5 hours in the waiting room for nothing. For now, I will pay out of pocket to have the tooth taken care of properly. What a joke of a business.

Aspen Dental not satisfied with service

I saw Dr Fisher. I have been in severe pain from a tooth that has an infection. The whole side of my face hurts, the gland in my neck, as well as the tooth. I made an apt to see someone about it. The doctor did nothing. He sat behind me so I had to turn around to talk to him. He didn't even introduce himself . I had to ask him his name. I am still in severe pain and he did nothing. Told me i needed to have it removed and would have to make an apt with another Doc. He wiggled the tooth, which made it hurt more. And then charged me $65.00. I think a doctor should show empathy and try to make the simptions better.

To all of you that shared your experiences with Aspen Dental, thank you from the bottom of my heart. i went to Aspen Dental in Melbourne, Florida, to have dentures. I have lost most of my bottom teeth and was so embarrassed. The support techs who did the xrays and the hygiene were great. Then came the dentist who spent maybe 5 minutes with me. I wanted the lowers first, but she said, no not a good idea, have both uppers and lowers down. Of course, teeth had to be extracted. Sent to the Office Manager, and he totaled up the bill, after approving me for their credit people.
I went home and research, $2, 500 for basic dentures...something very wrong.
Read all your comments about Aspen Dental - went back the next morning and cancelled the entire treatment plan and got cancellation documentation.

I am so very sorry for your experiences but I thank you for sharing them with me!
Thank you so very much.
God Bless, Annette

Aspen Dental work and billing

They say buyer beware for a reason and when a company demands payment up front (before service is rendered) there is a reason. This company is a joke - there is no doubt had they not already had my money I would have walked away after every visit. You can expect a long wait every time you visit and get a minimum amount of one on one time with the doctor. Expect to have problems that they do not take seriously, Expect your temporary dentures to not be able to cut through butter expect them to not take your complaint that your hungry or sores seriously because you can't chew your food. Expect them to waste your time, give you minimal help and once you get your final dentures realize that your looks are forever changed by the misfitting dentures they so proudly insist fit perfectly. Expect to not see the same doctor every visit and expect since they haven't gotten payment from your insurance company they will send your account to collection without consulting you...really?

Aspen Dental poor dental service

Avoid this clinic, at least the one in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The hygienist, dentist and office manager all gave false information. I was billed for procedures not completed, billed for items not purchased, double billed for services, deceived when discussing my bill and, promised a refund, which was not applied to my credit card for prepaid services. I have sines filed suit in a Wisconsin Circuit Court.

I went Aspen dental in Mentor OH. It was Sept.30, 2013. I needed my teeth removed and dentures. I put down $4800.00 because I was told I needed surgery to remove my teeth. I had no surgery I was given lidocain and teeth extracted. Had a lump in the right upper side of my mouth which was never addressed. My dentures were made with a hole for the lump to fit through. Had continuous pain and they kept relining and adjusting which would only last short time and lining would come out. Was unable to take care of this sooner because of extensive medical issues. returned in April of this year and was shocked that the whole staff there was replaced. The new Dr. ? told me he had never seen anything like this in his life and had me come back to see oral surgeon Joseph Krajekian DMD MD from Cleveland clinic on April10, 2015.He wants me to have Catscan and remove lump and told me that when he sees me he has nothing to with Aspen. The new office mgr.said I would get new dentures free(have 7yr. warranty on them)I am still making payments which will total over 10, 000.00. At the time I did this I had lost my father Aug.27, 2013 and I feel like I was taken advantage of. He wanted me to have my teeth done and never got to see them!

Aspen Dental scam/overcharge

Aspen Dental was listed as a service provider with my insurance. I went in for an exam and by the time they were done I was given an estimate for over $9000 on top of the gross overcharge on the x-rays and periodontal exam (over$1, 000 which was billed to my insurance.) I left their office with complete dread. I had my teeth checked by another dentist and

I recently went to Aspen for a simple extraction of a broken front tooth. I was charged for a surgical removal of the tooth. The gum area around the massive hole is infected and I have to drain it 2 times a day. I will have to start taking antibiotics to clear that up. It's been very stressful the last week. My gum is so sore, I can't put in my partial. take your business somewhere else!

Aspen Dental is the worst decission I ever made, I went to them due to a television add that they had payment plans available for uninsured people and that they would help you find your smile, what a crock of poop,
I needed upper dentures and a lower partial which aspen attempted the upper 3 times as well as doing some bone removal alveoplasty on the front upper to make the denture fit better as they said anyway, but they took so much bone my denture never stays up and reline after reline it costs me everytime scence the first reline was done they only relign once and if they fall out after that then oh well for you then get a rebase or a new plate mind you my denture is just over 2 years old and i have financed and paid off over 5000 dollers in aspen dent to care credit with no satisfactory results from aspen they are rude and dont give a dam about the patient its an assembly line and a money scam for them and I pray that someone reads this and agrees so that this place will be exposed for what it really is, I went to walker Michigan aspen office if you see it run away

Aspen Dental someone needs to investigate them now

I am new to the area and needed to find a dentist. Aspen dental was listed as an in network provider. This was absolutely the worst experience I've had in an office. First of all, they took some xray. The doctor checked my mouth for a few seconds. He abruptly said I needed 3 filling and deep gum/root cleaning/scaling due to bone loss. I was abruptly walked out front. A hefty treatment plan was developed---------they even built in extra charges for toothpaste, a $150 tooth brush, and mouth rinses. They don't ask first---they just tell you it's part of the treatment. I said I didn't want it. I show up for the actual work. I pay...they charge me for the toothbrush, etc. I remind them that I'm not buying a $150 toothbrush, rather than refund, they credit. I go back and have the 2 quadrant root/gum cleaning/scaling. I DID NOT FEEL A SINGLE THING AND HAD NO ANESTHESIA. I SWEAR SHE DID NOT DEEP CLEAN OR SCALE ANY GUMS. Next, I wait an hour to have fillings (one appt. at 11 and one appt. at 1). The one positive is that the dentist did not make me do anasthetic. He drilled and filled 3 cavities in a matter of minutes. I walked into the waiting room at 1 pm and walk out of the building at 1:12 pm. I offer to pay for the second part of the appt, the fillings. I'm told that I'm paid up. I go home, being told that my mouth will be too sensitive to do my actual cleaning, since I just had the root/gum cleaning/scaling----------AGAIN, DID NOT FEEL A SINGLE THING, GUMS NOT AT ALL SENSITIVE AFTER, NO BLEEDING, NOTHING. I'm home for a couple days, and get a bill? What? They said I was paid up! Anyway, does it account for the toothbrush credit? Who knows! I have to go back approx. 10 days later to have my cleaning, so I make arrangements to meet with the office manager and square the bill. I get there-------even her figures do not match the paper bill I received. I pay. I go back for my appt, the girl does a hit and miss with the cleaning, the floss, and the polish. Overall, most surfaces and teeth are neglected. It's like the girl had no system. It was absolutely the worst cleaning I've ever had. Anyway, I go home and get my insurance claims information. Things aren't adding up. I am going to collect all financial documents and will be reporting their billing practices. Also, based on reviews, this deep root/gum cleaning/scaling thing appears to be a scam----see other reviews. I think they are just saying you need it, sitting you in a chair, and then billing for it----------not needed and not done, if you ask me. At this point, I was JUST there for a checkup and treatment. I am going to another dental practice this week, literally days after my Aspen Dental experience. I am going to have a couple dental providers formally write up my oral assessment. I am going to submit this information to my insurance company, the BBB, and anyone that will listen. I AM SICK OF HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE. I HAVE DECIDED THAT I'M STANDING UP TO ASPEN DENTAL. THEY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED. GUARANTEE THEY WILL SEE SOME PREDATORY TRENDS IN TREATMENT RECOMMENDATIONS.

Be aware Aspen dental "partners"with the BBB and Aspen purchases the rating that they want. They also have a company campaign to hide and repair their online reputation. They have employees beg patients to write positive reviews online. They have office contests to generate positive feedback... Their main objective is always money...it is never patient care.

Hi, I am a dental hygienist and the author of a dental website. I am so sorry to hear your story. It happens too often and is very sad for our profession. Dental scaling is a great treatment...if you need it. But sadly, is one of the most over diagnosed procedures. If you needed it, your teeth should feel cleaner and gums firmer and healthier after it is done.
I wrote this short article on how to find a good dentist.

Hope it helps,
Good luck:)
