Intoxalock What is this ridiculous company and product?

car dead in 2 days after install, they claim the battery was no good paid hundreds, just a coincidence not the install, no it caused it. the day after putting new battery in a message on the breath machine """not serviced in time", it was just at the garage yesterday. intoxalock refuses to answer any email. They think I am going to tow this car everyday. The product does not work and they refuse to respond. The treatment is disgusting. customer service thinks I'm suppose to tow this car everyday. They all think I should spend hundreds of dollars every single day to deal with their junky product, They have refused to answer other questions that have been asked. They refused to give the corporate office real phone number. They have refused to give their attorney info. Why is this company in business, who conducts business this way, who provides a crappy product such as this?

Recommendation: I would not recommend this company ever to anyone. Why does the department of motor vehicles think this place is providing a service

Intoxalock Intoxalock customer service

I live in Washington State for the most part intoxalock is awesome, except when you get a lock out that you have no control over, one of those reasons is a failed breath temperature, it costs 75$ when this happens, and I called to ask how I could avoid this the first time it happened and they had no answers and eventually hung up on me. Then this happened again I called again and still no answers, I asked to speak with a manager to dispute the charges and ask for further help on stopping this, they put me on hold for over a hour untill I just couldn't hold any longer, I love the device, easy to use, but when it comes to customer service, I dread ever having any issues.

As an Intoxalock customer I used to not like the customer service at all for their business when I first started my contract with them. It has been almost two years now and i came to find a while ago it is not their customer service that is a problem, it was ME! We all have our problems with court and our own personal matters. They are just there to have something to show our judges and/or the DMV and give us the chance and the means to progress through our situations. But just in case you were a little hot-headed like me when going in to get a lock-out fixed after setting it up through your app, here is a little *Helpful Information!*

To speak to anyone 24/7 (for whatever reason) just call their customer service automated machine-voice lady. ***260, press 1, give D. O. B. Then press 3, then 2, and finally 2.

*After pressing 1 or 2 for your preferred language press 3 for the lockout option. You will be given the option to hear about what commonly causes lockouts for their clients, 1 for yes and 2 to skip to next question. The machine lady will inform you if the vehicles service provider is open or not and then ask if your Intocalock device is showing a Lockout message, DO NOT PRESS 1 HOPING TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE, INSTEAD PRESS 2 stating that a lockout is not being displayed. You will then be connected to a customer service representative to help you with any of your concerns! In my experience, every calibration date has a work order for that date, but you will have to speak to a representative and ask them to send a work order for the date that you plan to get your device changed. Keep in mind they have to sometimes recieve a new device by mail so do not wait last minute and need to have a tow-truck take your car to the shop. Hope this helps! PEACE

Intoxalock Horrible!

I had this device literally since Saturday, Nov. 28,2020 until Dec. 1,2020! I have called many many times to complain. Haven't driven my car since Saturday when I put the device in. Wanna know why?! Cause my battery is drained! Finally recharged it this morning, only to be stranded at a store. The battery died again. Now I have to get my car towed. Please stay away from this company. I'm a voluntary account. They have discouraged me greatly from doing the right thing. I have already spent over $200 in Uber rides and a battery charger! For the rep. To tell my end bill is $109 and I only had this device less than 72 hours is beyond me!

Intoxalock Several lyes that has cost me$. &gas & time

Well intoxalock has cost me. A lot of cash out of my pocketquestion additional couple hundred in fees that they said they would pay. With a PO number to comp out the $30 recalibration. I had to first get it calibrated within 2 weeks after having it not 2 months. Said I missed a ball. Which I did not. Took me an hour to get ahold of somebody. Then drive quarter mile down the road. And then stop to go to the gift cigarettes at a store. Here in Sonora California. They keep saying that the comp it out and then they get there and they say they don't do that when they have done it they keep choosing from one straw to the next first I going to do it and they're not they don't do it and sometimes they do if they cannot make up their mind what the freaking with straw in their head they want to pick they can't keep their story straight the customer service people are the worst ever they totally suck don't ever do this company they will piss you off go to a different company and Mabel cost you money and time take care. Intoxalock Breach of contract, don't do business with Intoxalock

This company will put you at risk of violating your probation. I have a in home unit because I don't drive and I have a contract with this company and I paid shipping fees for them to send me a calibrated hand unit every month as required by law every 30 days a calibration must be done so I can submit breath samples. For almost two years they met the agreement and sent a calibrated unit every month; at first it was a couple days early for months and then it started coming right at the deadline for a long time. And then, last April the deadline for the calibration came but the unit didn't come at all. So I called customer service to find out why UPS hadn't delivered the unit yet. After sitting on hold for close to an hour a rep comes on the line and tells me that it wasn't even sent yet and they didn't know why. I explained to them that this error is going to cause me to miss a breath sample and put my probation at risk and the agent really didn't even care at all. I tried to find out why it wasn't sent and they couldn't give me any info. We came to the conclusion that I would need to go to a local service center in the morning and get calibrated. Being desperate to get the issue resolved I said that's fine and I asked for the address of a service center and made sure they sent a work order to that center because I already paid and I don't want to get double charged. They told me where to go and assured me that the service center knew I was coming. The next morning I get a ride about 45 mins away from my house and head to this place which turned out to be a lawn mower show in the in a remote area, looked like someones shed. And I go inside and the lady behind the counter says. We don't service those here any more. She told me they have been telling Intoxalock for six months to not send them equipment anymore with certified letter and the hole nine yards. At this point I am pretty upset with intoxalock because it's clear that they are imbeciles. So I call customer service again to find out why they sent me to this place and where is another service center because they don't seem to understand that my freedom is in jeopardy. So they find another location an hour drive away in the other direction and I get to this place and they calibrate the unit and they want me to pay for it. I told them that intoxalock made a mistake and you should have a work order stating that it'; s already paid for. Well they do know of any work order so I wait 30 minutes and I am explaining that I am supposed to have these sent to my house and that's what I pay for. So they got tired of dealing with me and told me to go ahead and take it. That's a long story but that was April and now in June on Friday night UPS never came with my calibrated unit. I called customer service and they said it was never sent. I am convinced that the reps that answer the phone don't even really work for intoxalock, it has to be some third party answering service because they don't know anything, they can't explain anything and they don't have the solutions. I talked to a guy for a hour trying to find out why they are so incompetent with logistics. I was told again that I would have to go into a service center and I asked the agent to send a work order to the service center and copy me on the email. He told me that he couldn't share that info with me. Then Saturday I find out that the center isn't even open on Saturday and I get a nasty email from Intoxalock about how I missed a calibration date and I am locked out of the system. I called and asked them what is the meaning of an email like that and they had the nerve to tell me that I missed the deadline and now I had to go to a service center. And I bout lost my mind with them. I think this company should be sued for neglygents and brought up on investigation by the DA because this kind of incompetents is going to ruin peoples lives. This is partly the states fault to for allowing a third party state agency be unaudited and put peoples lives in jeopardy

Intoxalock Do not use this company

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

I've had an intoxalock device installed to my car for under 3 months and so far it has cost me almost $2,000 in car repairs. And counting, they still can't seem to find the issue. Also I have missed so much work that I'm about to lose my job and my apartment. I am the office manager of the company I work for. I have to open the door every morning for 5 employees. If I don't make it to work, those 5 employees can't work. So this is a really really really big problem for me. So far I have missed 6 days of work due to this unit. (In 2 months)

I can never get through to anybody that knows what they are talking about. I've sent multiple emails and can't even get a response. They haven't even responded to my emails from months ago... I call the help line and wait on hold for 20 minutes to get hung up on. If you ask the customer service for somebody higher up they will not connect you to anybody. They won't even provide you with an accurate email to contact the right person. When you ask customer service the correct email, they reply "what do you want that for " or "you can talk to me"...

When I first got this thing installed, my car wouldn't start properly. It seemed the intoxalock was draining my battery. They advised me to get a battery charger and a battery jump starter. They also advised me to start my car a few times a day. I bought that stuff and followed directions. Didn't help. Soon my car bagan to randomly start worse. Meaning sometimes it starts on the first key turn and sometimes it takes 20 key turns. (Or more) Ive sat in my car for 10-15 minutes at a time trying to get it to start about 50 times. It got to be so common that it almost felt normal. Eventually It got worse and worse until the car would not start at all. Had to get it towed to their service center at this point.

Within a month of having this thing installed it killed my car battery. I had to get a new one installed at their service center. (Charged me $300.) Couple weeks later my car stops working again. Get it towed to the service center, this time they say its the starter. Got a new starter installed. ($675) Car works for 4 days then dies again. Get it towed back to the shop. This time they say its the battery. (keep in mind i just bought a new one a month ago). Get the new battery. ($375) Car works for a week then stops working again. Now they are saying they don't know what it is.

I dropped off my car for intoxalock inspection at one of their maintenance centers. They had my car there from 9 am to 5 pm, called me 5 minutes before close to tell me they "think" its my starter. So we schedule a starter installation. They have my car all day again. At the end of the day they call to tell me the starter wasn't the issue. They said they switched the starter and the car still wouldn't start. They advised me to change the battery which I did. Now here's the kicker. 3 weeks later when the car finally dies I get it towed to a new shop. They say its the starter. I inform them the other service center switched the starter and it didn't work. The new shop insists that it would work so I went with it. Guess what. The starter did in fact work. Sooooo basically the first intoxalock repair shop had my car for 2 days for nothing. They knew it was the starter and couldn't even properly install it. They probably tried to install a junk yard starter, who knows. All I know is they are a joke of a maintenance shop. I'll never take my car there again. Ideal Auto in Hanover is the name of the shop that tried to install a starter and couldn't even get it right...

At one point I tried to take my car to the Ford dealership because I don't think their specialists are capable or qualified to fix my car. Ford told me they won't look at it with the intoxalock installed. I called intoxalock to request a temporary removal. I was informed someone would contact me with 2 days with an answer. Well that was almost a month ago, guess what, still no response on that one... (lol, w. T. f?)

Intoxalock says its not on them. The car service center says its not them. Well who is it on? I can not afford any more car repairs due to this unit, and trust me, you can't either. I had it towed to the intoxalock maintenance shop and now they are saying they can't look at it for a week. What am I supposed to do?

My car had an immaculate service record before having the intoxalock unit installed. I only had to change the oil and the brake pads so far. I get the unit installed and Im in the shop 5 times in 2 months? $2,000 in repairs in under 2 months? This is ridiculous. And trying to get through to somebody is even more ridiculous.

If you made it this far, please take my advice and run. You can not afford intoxalock.

Intoxalock Charging me for wrong car and still charging me after lease expired

Intoxalock was charging me for a car I no longer have. Not sure how they got that Vin #.

On the one car where the device was removed they didn't contact the dmv.

I got an email which stated my lease was over.

I have called them several times to no avail. Not sure what to do. I called my attorney and now I have to pay him to fix it.

Plus I paid a fee that I didn't need to.

Intoxalock Intoxalock device

I was a intoxalock customer for 3 years..I had multiple electrical issues ,fraudulent lock outs that charged fees . I replaced 3 batteries, during the 3 Years and paid for 3 out of pocket inspections..When removed my remote start wasn't connected as it was at instal .I had to get it looked at to find out that Intoxalock hooked their system into my remote start and left open wires that could have started fire for the last 3 years. I am now asking them to reimburse me and they are acting as if they did nothing wrong..The entire 3 years I recieved terrible customer service where a worker read from a script yet didn't understand what they were reading..I have emailed accounts to get back a response that email is full ect. I feel like this company is complete fraud in all aspects.Intoxalick needs to be exposed..

They are threatening my license statues due to fees they have charged me not allowed under mn statue 171.306 associated with the fee reduction award letter. I have physical disabilities, I believe this is why I'm being discriminated against. It has gone so far they have billed me, I paid then...

Intoxalock Interlock hidden fees

This company is supposed to charge me $30 every 2 weeks. Before I even had it a month .my bill is 400. This is the next month...I paid my 60 dollars and my bill just comes right back to 400.

They did not tell me I would have a lease fee every 2 weeks nor was I told about the 80+ dollars when it fails. It is also charging me roadside assistance that's only 15 miles and I'm an hour away. When I try and talk to customer service they always just talk from a script. This is extortion and it's sad people in my position can't find a decent company.

Claimed loss: $600!!!

Desired outcome: I want the price that was agreed upon. Nothing more nothing less.

This is the second attempt. The company needs to update their devices. It is faulty and failed me constantly. Twice a week even. Each time paying 50 dollars to reconnect. After that I requested to have it out..I couldn't even have enough breath to start the thing..they have broken my Dash that controls the radio the gas battery and temperature gauge. And oh yeah..my windows are half way down in 40 degree weather! And I can't get any help.

And now this company I'm with is even worse! They hide fees and screw you because they know I need them. I can't live 3 years like this. If you updated your machines then I would go back. The plans and payments are fine. I want all of my money I put in and my truck repaired so I can move on.

I have had my intoxalock device since May of 2023. In the beginning I didn't have any issues. I read all of the FAQ's, and troubleshooting to make sure I understood the device. They have something called lock out and every time it happens because you could not either blow the device, $83 is charged. When you try to contact them to clarify. It is also de same answer. LOOK BELOW FROM THEIR SITE.

There were multiple times (1/21/23, 2/6/23 & 3/16/23) that I was locked out of my device and had to pay the $75.00 fee plus $20.00 to get it recalibrated. Intoxalock Ignition interlock device

My 6 months was up to remove the device and Intoxalock told me that the state extended my sentence another 3 months, but would not tell me why. The state can only make a decision to extend based upon the information that Intoxalock give them, yet Intoxalock acts like they are clueless and they blame the state. I just finished another 3 months and they did the same thing again. Told me my sentence is extended, but they don’t know why. Total scam company who lies to keep billing customers by being opaque and confusing. Most people don’t understand the process, so Intoxalock takes advantage

Intoxalock Time, money

Past 2 1/2 weeks husband been incarcerated for Dwi before the judge decide it to send him to a rehab house they told him to put the ignition interlock on his truck 4 days after he put that machine on truck they send him to jail we’re he STILL to this day 10/27/23 waiting on a rehab home to go

Well the court give us a order letter to take to INTEXALOCK to remove this from the truck they won’t do it

Ask us for so many thing which we have bring and still to this day no luck

By Monday the truck will lock on us is our work truck. Not even with a letter from court signed by judge they want to remove this

And top of that we have to pay the past lease days and to remove this

SMH yes someone any one please needs to do something against this company and make the court get a better place (company to send all this hardheaded drunks to go to.

Desired outcome: Court , judges who ever is charge to send people to this companies to change to better or just take there livence out of business

On September 9, I traded in my car for a pickup. I did everything I was supposed to do, got all the paperwork that I was supposed to get. The device was swapped successfully to the new vehicle. I have had a voluntary unit for years. I do this to be on the safe side. But, when the unit malfunctions customer service is horrible. I don't need to go to the service center. Intoxalock Billing

I had a home unit for a year and turned it in on August 31st when my time was completed with it. They continued charging me until Sept 14th.

The actual lease was over on Sept 9th but the equipment was turned in before then.

This company kept charging me after my equipment was tuned in and my lease was up. I called sever times to stop them. I even tried to get reimbursed but they came up with reasons to keep my money!

Desired outcome: Reimbursement for time I have not had devise

Intoxalock Intoxalock

I have recently moved to Arkansas from Tennessee. Weeks before moving, I called Intoxalock to figure out exactly everything I needed to get done before moving, because I have had issues atleast once a month with Intoxalock since having the device installed in April. When I called weeks ahead of time the lady I spoke with told me all I needed to get done was finding a service center near me in the area I was moving too. So I went into the app & found a service center and updated my information. Now, when it comes time to get my vehicle calibrated the service center told me her can not do the calibration because I have a Tennessee device and not an Arkansas device. So, I call Intoxalock and they tell me that Tennessee needs to approve me moving to Arkansas, after me already moving here! They send over the approval letter and now I have been without a vehicle for four days, because I am waiting on this approval.

Intoxalock False fees and legal waivers on lease

Intoxalock hits false positives at 0 so your aftershave w even set it off. Even though there is a.02 leeway in washington to prevent these.Constant blowing I said to be there to exonerate customers by blowing constantly every 5 and 15 min. When u get a positive w a clean blow minutes before and after it quite clear food or drink caused it. But u will be billed 80 -100$ and told where to go. As ur lease runs out if u have a fake positive you will be required to extend lease 4 months.In w time they can do it again for a year. Then your lucky if they send in your clear paperwork to the state, untill they ar done w just ridiculous made up fees. You have no recourse because of a waiver against any class action only small claims wich we all know is so expensive you just swallow it. Olympia is sympathetic, but you signed it

Desired outcome: False positives not charged or reported,or forcing you to remain 4 months for each.they have the proof yet persecute u regardless .

Intoxalock Fraudulent fees, ignoring nashville by sending installation device date

Aug. 16th I received a letter from Nashville asking for you to send the installation date to them. You have ask me to get my car calibrated twice in two weeks. I explained that that is not what they are asking. You said to go ahead and get calibration, so I did. You people STILL have failed to send over calibration. YOU are also charging my credit card for services on 9/14/23. Its only the 9/923 today. you are charging me for fees I did not use. There is no customer service person. It is all A.I. Nashville has sent e-mails to you also. I am now leaving a paper trail. I am now closing my credit card to you all. I now have contacted my attorney and will let the courts know about your service. You cant just rip people off or not send the installation device date which was Jan 31, 2023. My phone number is [protected]. Brandy Cudney Morey

Intoxalock Intoxalizer

Intoxilock sent a remaining 3 month balance that was owed to collections. This was over 3 years ago. The contract was up 3 years ago. They will send a letter to the DMV stating the 1 year contract is finished until they receive the balance. This was not part of the contract/agreement. This is simply extortion. A judge ordered a one year loss of license. How can this company extend that? They’re not judges.

Desired outcome: Finally obtain a drivers license.
