In 1990 I closed my Com cast account and was preparing to move out of Pennsylvania. There was a tech scheduled to pick up the converter box between 9am and 1pm but they never showed up.In 1995 I moved back and when I attempted to set up service was told I owed them 130 dollars for the box. (I called and told them it was left with the building manager but it seems they never came for it)
Needless to say I didn't get service set up.In 2005 I again applied for service and was again told I owed 130 dollars for the box. As of now its been 24 years and they still claim I owe them money. Keep...

Comcast - They will not install service to my business

I have been trying to get my Comcast service hooked up for my business for almost a month. Comcast has done 2 surveys of my property and they still are not able to install service. They showed up at an appointment on Saturday 5/3/2014 and were unable to install service due to not knowing where the cable line was, in spite of the fact that they had done 2 surveys at this point. They then rescheduled the appointment for 5/5/14. On 5/5 nobody showed up at the office at all. They then rescheduled it for 5/13/14. Comcast - Tech wrecked my house and now phone doesnt work

Comcast sent out a tech to activate my phone service (part of triple play) after I've decided to switch over from verizon landline. I was not home so I asked my sister to be there to let him in. Imagine my disappointment when I came home to find that none of my phone jacks are working. Guy ran a line from my phone hub outdoor, dangling in my garage thru my living room wall via a hole he drilled, and attached to a splitter and wires he left lying on the floor. in my basement and crawspace my stuff are all over the place, my ceiling tiles were all moved and not put back. Comcast - Harassing after they lost returned modem

I switched providers for my Internet service from Comcast to ATT since Comcast was charging me $90 and their connection was spotty. It took them two months to send me a box to mail the modem to them. I sent it but it seems they lost it. Now they email me every week to threaten me even though I told them I sent it. They do not provide any options and now are threatening to take legal action against me. Avoid Comcast!!...

Cable tech came here to install cable outlets in my new apartment. He said there is no cable in this apartment, and there never has been service in this building. He told me to call Comcast and tell them that the building needs an MDU (Multiple Dwelling Unit) host wire in order to install cable outlets, and to ask to make an appointment with them for installation. He gave me a number to call (888-895-6504) in order to get a host wire installed for this building.

At 888-895-6504, I spoke with a lady who didn't seem to know what she was doing. She was confused...

We ordered premium channels as part of triple play about 3 weeks ago, went through the process of activating our phone number with third party verification. Everything appeared to go thorough, we were able to view the channels and thought we were all set. Comcast is converting all of their modems over to new modems, the older modem contained an backup battery and was replaced free when the power was low. Now they expect the user to not only install the replacement modem that can take over 1 hour but also to buy a battery for about $35 + shipping, yet this modem is being rented at $7.00 per month....

Over the years Comcast increased the cost for cable and internet to over $127 a month.
And this is just the "plain vanilla service"...
Now I had enough and AT+T advertised $49 for the same service. I am perfectly aware that the real cost will be more like 70-80 because of taxes this and that, but still cheaper than Comcast. I got AT+T and immediately figured out, that I am a sucker, because this deal did not even have CNN (but this is another story).
Now I tried to cancel Comcast. Try to log in... cannot on one computer because the applet which ask you to type in some...

On Sunday morning, 15th of July, around midnight I was taken by ambulance to the E.R. where I was in ICU until Tuesday afternoon. Upon coming home to rest, my 42" Panasonic television, when turned on had no sound and a white line across the top with a black screen.

I used to have Comcast Dvr when I stopped watching tv as much I decided to switch my plan. The Coustmer Rep I spoke with offerd me a great plan He said oh It will be 26 dollars with cable and internet. I was so excited I was paying $190 the next month came and I was charged $68 dollars I called and found out that the cable tv was 26 dollars but with the internet it came to $68 I felt like I had been lied too I requested a ten dollar credit I felt that was the least they could do for leading me on they said ok but only this time because your a good coustmer. I signed up to Comcast 10/15/2012 with a $150 prepaid visa as a bonus sign on.
Comcast says it will take 12-15 weeks before I receive it, it is now 03/21/2013 well over 5 months. Several phone calls and promises later I can say IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!
Thanks Comcast for selling me a contract UNDER A FRAUDULANT SIGN ON BONUS!

Thursday @ 3PM computer stopped working and I spoke with tech support who told me to check wires, plugs etc. The monitor power button was yellow, screen was blank only said going to sleep when I turned on off. He said the problem was the modem not monitor. the computer was only 2 months old.Then he said he needed $50 to try the repair on phone and may need to repair outside of home. Well of course like everyone else Concast business model and practices border on extortion. For 2 years as part of my bundle my bill was quoted as approx $185.00 per month. Mind you i dont have anything extravagant.
1 TV with a HD Box. 1 TV with a HD DVR and our Bedroom TV with just a basic digital adapter on it. Standard Internet and Phone service as well. I just had HBO prior to this NEW 2 year bundle. Somehow i got this Premier
bundle without my knowledge. No biggy i'll take it. Now as of Feb 8th i was told my 2 year contract was up. So i get the bill and its now $233.00....

I live in Montgomery County, MD, the Silver Spring area. They have a monopoly and the service is horrendous and the cost is outrageous and goes up on a regular basis. Right now I am being charged 172.80 for basic service and HBO. We are being charged for the DVR now - a new cost that suddenly appeared after being a stupid loyal customer for 3 1/2 years paying 137.00 which inched its way up to that amount. In the last couple of months the cost for the DVR went from 5.00 to 10.00 to 27.00 in a couple of months. You can never get a straight answer as to why this service cost so much, but 137 is expensive...
