Unlimited Vacation Club Lies and very misleading beware of the scam

My family went on a vacation to Dream Mexico in the month of June 2022. My husband and I attended a presentation and boy oh boy are they slick with their wording. My husband and I thought it was a great deal, we were told things like we had 3 getaways, and if used all we would need to pay is the all-inclusive fee and resort fees. However, when we tried to book the only thing, we were informed that we had was a 25% discount and some other BS. They are also work with RCI which every time we called that company the weeks, we requested were not available, so good luck on that company. All in all, we were scammed and told we had things that was never available and paid a great amount of money so far.

We have called to cancel the membership, but you have to wait for the manager to call, just to be told that we have to wait up to 72hrs for the manager of the manager to call us. So, who knows what's the next move because when asked about cancellation they tell you all you have to do is let them know you want to cancel and, but when you do that, you have to jump thru hoops.

Desired outcome: Would like to cancel membership without the hassle and take the money that we have spent thus far as a loss.

Unlimited Vacation Club Refund

We visited Unlimited Vacation Club in Cancun Mexico at their Dreams vista location. Unfortunately, the only good thing I have to say about Unlimited vacations club is that they were really nice during the presentation. But I guess that was just a ploy to get us to buy because after we said that we changed our mind and wanted a full refund we cannot get in contact with anyone. Even the personal numbers that I have been given are not working. Our’s is the same situation as some of the other reviewer’s. First, we did not receive our contract or log-in information for almost a week after we bought (too late to cancel). I think that is another ploy to stop people from canceling. Why would you hold the contract until after the period to cancel is over? Then, once we FINALLY got our contract it was wrong. We were supposed to be paying $200 a month but in the contract it stated we would be paying almost $500. Some other things that they told us during the presentation were not actually factual either. Those things combined made us decide to cancel the contract, requesting a full refund of the deposit we had made. These sneaky people give us the runaround after we gave them THAT message, telling us that on Monday we would be able to talk to the manager that was handling the contract and then Sunday evening they cancel the contract via email and that is the last time we are able to get in touch with them. They have stopped answering our calls and won’t respond to emails. Thank goodness for Legal zoom! They have told us we are well within our rights because they ADMITTED the contract was wrong and were trying to get us to re-sign a new one we are within our rights to cancel and receive a full refund because the first contract is void. Its really distressing that no one is responding to our efforts of getting in touch with them. I’m not a unreasonable person and I was fine with working out some kind of arrangement with them but now I just want my refund. Please help!

Unlimited Vacation Club Premier nights

My premier nights were expiring at the tail end of COVID I called to see if they would extend them due to the pandemic. The customer service rep told me just to go ahead a book something that I would be able to adjust and change it later. She did not mention that I could not change them after they expired. They were expiring within a couple days. I booked as far in advance as I could. As my world changed during COVID so did my employment and the holiday now fell in a time that I was unable to take holidays. I called to reschedule the holiday and was refused, they now said that since my booking was made with premier nights that expired I could not change it, the supervisor on the floor told me to send in an email. The response was again negative. The reservation is for the first week of January 2023 at the Dreams in Los Cabos, an easy resell. I was looking to rebook for a later date that was not during prime time and flexible as to where the resort was. I responded to the negative email with shock that after booking under the advice of their customer service rep that I would be able to adjust my booking they were not willing to provide any accommodations or flexibility. The reply was a request that I send in a letter from my employer I complied the same day. The next day I got the same generic response that they could not do anything for me as per my contract recommending that if I had any question to call customer service. When I call customer service they tell me to send an email. I live in northern Canada and even finding flights has been difficult. They have recommended now that I sell my reservation to a third party instead of making any concessions and allowing me to rebook.

Desired outcome: I would like to move my reservation, I understand there may be restrictions.

Unlimited Vacation Club Cancellation procedure

Good day,

We just were able to access the website after coming home from our vacation and after having spent 3 different times at the sales office in Dreams Tulum trying to figure out whether this Vacation Club was being represented correctly… We went to the sales office the day before we left the resort and were going to cancel, but it seemed our questions were being answered, albeit with discrepancies of the amounts of USD per night to be charged (range $45 - $200 USD changed to $55 - $230 per night) – not sure why we didn’t see this as a red flag as I know the numbers they wrote down on papers that they never gave to us to keep. We understood amounts could change with respect to high seasons, different times of year, and at the types of AMR locations (Sunscape vs Dreams vs Secrets, etc). We were ‘convinced’ that this was on the up and up – the numbers were correct, and we would benefit from this Club, until we got home and were able to access the website. We were told we could 'cancel' any time and it was totally dependent on who we spoke to and what sales office we were at because each sales office is operated by different individuals, but we could trust them to cancel if we needed to.

Since looking through the website, we cannot find one vacation on Unlimited Vacation Club website that actually has the prices listed as what we were told – even at different times. We would like to address this asap as we believe this could be fraudulent practices and we have been defrauded of our money.

We have also reached out to our person in the sales division as he was so kind at the time to give his cell phone contact in case we ran into any issues, and needed to cancel.

Desired outcome: We would like a full refund.

Unlimited Vacation Club Complaint

My husband and I purchased Unlimited Vacation Club Membership putting $15,000 down on our Vacation club membership, November 2021.

We have stayed in their resorts several times in the past and thought we would benefit from becoming members. We are regretting any arrangement we have made with them, especially after spending so much of our money and getting so little back.

We are currently on our 1st Vacation through UVC, AMR resorts at Secrets Cozumel, after paying over $2000 on our stay as a preferred members, without airfare. We are extremely disappointed with our stay. No preferred treatment here! Our room is dirty and the shower ceiling is full of mold and falling apart. My husband and I were treated so much better as non members.

We asked one of the UVC representatives if we could be transferred to another Secrets hotel on the mainland. We would have to make a whole and reservation, and ask for a reimbursement afterwards, which is unlikely to happen. The change would cost us over $5000 to for 5 day/4 night stay.

So disheartening!

Unlimited Vacation Club Promised days not granted

In February 2022 UVC contacted me by phone to inform me that Dreams Cozumel would not be open by the dates of our reservation. We would be relocated to Secrets Cozumel on the same dates, and when Dreams opened we would still have 5 days at Dreams at no charge. We were happy with this arrangement. However, now that Dreams is open, and we are trying to book our promised 5 days, you are claiming to have no record of this promise. You say the responsibility is on me to produce an email to that effect. The day you called I took you at your word. I imagined UVC to be trustworthy. It did not occur to me to demand proof in writing while I waited on the phone. The man told me this was all noted in our file. Subsequently, I called twice and was assured that this arrangement was noted in my file, not to worry. Now that I am ready to book the dates, this information has vanished. It is good business practice to keep your word. What we want: the 5 days at Dreams Cozumel which were promised because Dreams postponed the opening date. Please get in touch with me about this. Thank you.

Desired outcome: We would like to book the 5 nights free of charge that were promised to us because Dreams Cozumel did not open on time.

Unlimited Vacation Club Renewal notice

My husband and I bought this membership in August 2018 when we were in Punta Cana. The cost of the membership was $8,100. This amount has been paid in full as of 11/22. I want to cancel the Renewal Fee because we have never used these services, nor will we. Not only did the pandemic prevent us from traveling, but now we are both older and not in good health. Unfortunately, our traveling days are over.

UVC is now harassing us to pay the yearly renewal fees and threatening collections. On the back of the notice it says, "Annual Renewal shall maintain all benefits listed above upon submission of payment. Annual Renewal is NOT REQUIRED, but must be paid to maintain Unlimited Vacation Club membership benefits.”

They already have $8,100 and they are trying to get more money that I do not have. I feel like I am being taken advantage of and discriminated against because I am old, in poor health and cannot afford this Annual Renewal Fee. I have contacted this company many times, and all they say is"Can you give your membership to a family member or friend?" No one that I know would want this.

Desired outcome: I am NOT asking for reimbursement of $8,100. I do Not want to pay a yearly renewal fee, and I no longer want to receive a yearly "Renewal Fee Notice" for something that I will NEVER use. I do not want to be threatened with "collections".

Unlimited Vacation Club Vacation Club Membership

Occurred at Dreams Dominican Republic. Very misleading sales pitch that was discovered when reading the contract. We did not sign and are waiting for reimbursement of the down payments to our cards. Were told it would take 24 hours and has now been more than 3 days. Need to know what more we need to do to assure this happens. Contact me at [protected]@gmail.com

Desired outcome: Credit to our accounts.

Unlimited Vacation Club Our 1600$ towards my families trip.

This company has been very difficult to deal with since the beginning. We bought the “membership” 10 years ago. I feel we were roped in and promised all these weeks each year. When I asked to have my daughter in our account to help book my travel since I’ve had a stroke and to also add as my beneficiary they NEVER do it. I’ve asked over 10 times goes to book travel she has a difficult time because of a stroke she had. There is NO ONE to talk to. All management and employees read from a script. There is zero compassion or trying to resolve issues and keeping your clients happy. Even after our family has spent $50,000 on ONE trip for our family they will not deduct a voucher for $1600 that they owed us for a very poor experience in the Mayan because that was not in the contract for the voucher and it needs to fall in a VIP week. Rally? After spending 50,000 on one trip they should be going out of their way to make their customers happy. As a business owner I would never run a business like this, otherwise I wouldn’t have it in years to come. Very disappointing. Tried to ask the manager to speak with his manager and he said there’s no one above. Hmmm. So is he the owner? Frankly is disgusting they’re in business and there is only a handful of resorts that are truly good to go to. The rest you’re likely to get food poisoning at. Terrible customer service and frankly terrible product. Just know if you ever have a complaint be warned, they don’t care. My suggestion is to not buy what they’re selling and cancel your membership if you did. Go somewhere that values their customers and I can guarantee you, you won’t regret it.

Unlimited Vacation Club My desired outcome is the termination of this contract and all associated fees.

Like many of you here, my wife & are not benefiting from our UVC membership. However, we are being harassed about continuing to pay for this service although we informed them months ago that we were terminating our membership.

My wife was initially interested in trying out the service, I however, was not. The salesman at the resort assured us that there was a no risk cancellation that we could exercise AT ANY TIME if we weren’t satisfied with the service. He saw that I was disinterested and was ready to leave to continue our honeymoon. Him pitching that we could cancel at anytime was the ONLY reason I considered signing it, because I knew how busy we both are. Paying for something that we couldn’t use would be a complete waste of our hard earned money.

He told us that RCI would benefit us greatly for domestic travel in the US, which we do travel occasionally for work. However, after doing our research, we found out that we were able to obtain better savings with lodging accommodation services like Air BnB, Orbitz & Expedia than we could using RCI.

So since there really was no use for us and their service, she and I agreed that it would be in our best interest to cancel. However, UVC has been attempting to violate our consumer rights by continually harassing us via emails and phone calls and by not letting us out of the contract.

I am contacting the FTC, BBB & PROFECO in regards to this matter.

Unlimited Vacation Club Unlimited Vacation Club unethical sales

UVC Lifestyle Collection

Attn: Cancellations

15147 N. Scottsdale Rd, suite 210

Scottsdat, AZ 85254

[protected]

My name is Phan Huynh, member Number DWX -000576. I would like to cancel my UVC membership, UVC is unethical sales practices. I have recently become a UVC member on 08/05/22 and have paid $1820.76. The salesman told me that I will get $500 credits to book a cruise. Two weeks ago, I called UVC customer service to book my cruise, I was told only apply $150 to my cruise and I informed the customer service that the contract it says $500 credits for cruise. He said can’t apply $500. And also when I try to book hotels, hotels rates is more expensive than Expedia or Travelocity and the travel dates which I want are not available. Salesman promised 40%-60% off for hotels before I signed the contract. UVC is over promised that’s not going to happen, therefore I would like to get refund of $1820.76.

Desired outcome: Refund $1830.76

Unlimited Vacation Club Unethical sales practices

Do not buy in! They steal your money! If you are a new member, get out now! I have never dealt with a worse company in all of my life.

We sat through 4 hours of sales pitches before breaking down and agreeing to this fabulous vacation opportunity. Free stays! Free airline tickets! All around the world! This. Is. All. A. Lie.

Every time we have tried to book a vacation it has turned into a nightmare. The locations are never available, somehow all resorts in every location outside of the US & Mexico are ALL always booked up literally years in advance. We are paying thousands of dollars each year & can only go to Mexico.

The quarterly specials went live today. We started trying to book at 8am (because we knew they started today, 11/1). and nothing was available any day in 2023. After sitting on hold for over an hour, we finally got a service rep. After 45 minutes of him looking into why nothing was available, he tells us that Jamaica, Costa Rica, Spain, & the Dominican Republic are all restricted - these locations are not even available to members unless it is a quarterly special… I asked how you’re even supposed to take advantage of these “specials” when nothing is even available?!? Keep in mind, I knew the specials started today so I started looking. I didn’t get the email advertising them until the afternoon. They did absolutely nothing to try and help the situation or even try to find a solution. It was pretty much a “oh well! Sucks for you!”

Any of the vacations we are actually able to book and go on (to Mexico, of course) we tell anyone who will listen NOT to join. It really helps when you have first hand knowledge… everyone seems to listen! We have saved many, many people tens of thousands of dollars and we look forward to continuing to spread the word - thanks UVC!

Desired outcome: Cancellation with a full refund

Unlimited Vacation Club Not getting my price match/ bad business practices/unethical

I’m a UVC member and I’m not a happy customer! I have paid thousands for my membership and in my contract it says they will honor price matches for Priceline but recently i did everything correctly and they declined my price match! I will be seeking legal counsel next and telling everyone I possibly can to never become a member and do not do any business with unlimited vacation club! All because they declined my price match!

Desired outcome: Honor my price match!

Unlimited Vacation Club False sales

Everyone pretty much explained the same thing and it goes same for us. $15k we spent when I was on my honeymoon in secrets playa mujeres. Said we’d get VIP , preferred club, VIP in airports , and all inclusive weeks. When I call to fix this issue they “lay out the benefits “ which in my opinion ain’t [censored] . 25% this and that and whatever else . Well those discounts aren’t even $15,000 worth. I want every dime back and I’ll book my vacations through other websites . They agreed to everything we wanted but my account says otherwise .

Desired outcome: Refund

Unlimited Vacation Club The entire scam and how there sales tactics are misleading and complete lies

Earlier this year we stayed at Riviera Maya dreams, it included a dinner as long as we toured one of their resorts, upon arriving at another resort we were met by Tanya, they wined , and dined us for the entire morning, upon entering the sales office, we were greeted by her managers, they offered us champagne immediately, and even offered my underage daughter champagne, he displayed all these books of all these beautiful resorts and beautiful homes, that if we join their club, we would be able to use, it seemed unreal too good to be true, unfortunately, they would not give us even the night to think about it we had to sign right then, and there, they even discounted the trip that we were on, and gave us money back, obviously not cash, we are diamond members one tier below. The top, we were offered airfare, we were offered hotels for a week for $640 as many as we wanted, we were offered 3000 a year towards cruises, none of this is true. It's not even close. This is anything close to unlimited, we have already paid in tens of thousands of dollars, but from this day forward, I am not paying another dime whatever monies I have left to pay I am going to pay attorney fees to sue this company, they will never get another dime out of me, yesterday we tried to book a trip to their new resort in the Dominican republic, after inquiring about the prices we decided to check in on book.com just for the hell of it guess what it was $1000 less, we called the boat cruise department, it's not 3000 a year. It's 300 another lie. If they expect to get another dime out of me they're gonna have to hold a gun to my head very disappointed in the bag of [censored] they sold me. this should be called the unlimited nightmare, serving my underage, daughter, alcohol and telling her in 25 years this is all gonna be yours having my children smile at me daddy. This looks great. Their sales tactics are unethical and disgusting. I've read the reviews on the Better Business Bureau, I cannot find one. Positive review Their rating is a one, I only wish I would've read the reviews while I was sitting in that office and not be part of this unlimited nightmare Eric

Desired outcome: A full refund at a minimum never been used because it's [censored], I'd rather book on Book.com and save a $1000

Unlimited Vacation Club Sales staff

We bought what we thought was an All Inclusive Package but we were sent the Vontract four days later, Sales Staff said their system was down when we purchased. They also said the 5 day grace period would start after we received the Contract. Lies. The package arrived in SPANISH even after we requested it be sent in English. We didn't figure out how to translate it until the fifth day, ehich we found out it was not what we had been sold or agreed to.

You assigned the Salesman that lied to us d the Mediator. He would not negotiate or reduce the cancellation fee. We had to pay half of the Contract Price to get to out of it even though we contacted him the next day, day 6 according to him, even though your offices were closed on the 4th if July.

Are you Sales People or Extortionists?

I am giving you one last chance to correct this and refund our money to that your Salesman extorted from us.

If you actually had a viable product you wouldn't have to lie to sell it. Do you have a viable Product, or are you just a Group of Theives and Liars?

Desired outcome: Refund the money your Salesman stole from us !

Unlimited Vacation Club Vacation club membership

September 14th 2022

We decided to join the membership on our honeymoon in the Dominican Republic. 3 days after purchasing before we left the resort after reading bad reviews and talking to another member there we decided to cancel. I went in explained I wanted to cancel I signed a cancelation form and they informed me it would take 30 days to process my request and my refund will follow. 5500usd was what we put down the day we signed the contract. I called vacation club today Oct 26th to find out where my refund was and I was informed there was no request to cancel and now it's too late to cancel I talked to Carlos supervisor of memberships based out of Miami Florida and he was no help. I'm trying to find a resolution before I take legal actions. But mostly I want to inform others thinking about getting into the membership to be aware of the situation

Desired outcome: Refund and cancel membership

Unlimited Vacation Club Need to get out of this contract! Sales reps fed us a bunch of lies.

On Sept 13, 2022 at Secrets The Vine in Cancún, Mexico we were lied to during the sales pitch over and over. We were told we’d have 14 free nights anywhere in the AMR collection of resorts, $199 flights on Spirit or Frontier, and a $43 pp/pn cost at any of the AMR collection resorts. All lies! We were never told about the 5 day contract cancellation and once we got back home and I was able to print out the contract, I realized all the lies we were told. I tried calling our sales rep to which he answered once and fed me a bunch more lies. I’ve emailed all the emails I know of requesting clarification to which I’ve received little or no response with no clarification. I’m 8 days away from needing to post my first monthly payment, and I really don’t want to do that. I just need out of this contract. Can someone please help me?

Desired outcome: Contract cancelled.

Unlimited Vacation Club Unlimited Robbers Club - SCAMMED OUT OF $100,000.00 !!!!

I was on vacation with my daughter at the Secrets resort in Mexico when a sales associate for UVC approached me with an offer “I could not resist”. He explained how when using your membership, the only fees that would be payable are the “food & beverage” resort fees which would amount to a max of $60/night for the most expensive resort in their inventory and cheaper for lower tier hotels.

As we travel internationally, he also promised us that the same benefits apply for hotels in Europe, Africa and Asia from their RCI collection. For a total of $100,000CAD, we’d have these benefits for 40 years including: a max of $60/night for our stays, access to yachts, family vouchers and access for up to 12 people at a time for the 40 years, etc. Thinking that we were getting an amazing deal as frequent travellers, I signed up and paid the first $25,000CAD.

I received the contract by email and the stipulations were wildly different from what the sales agent that preyed on me promised. At that same moment, I asked for the log in info (whilst still in Mexico) to confirm the price the hotel stays truly are. I’ve sent an email to the team and they advised that the log in info should be received within the next 5 days. Please keep in mind that the cancellation period expires 5 days after the signing of the contract. Once the log in received 7 days after signing, my daughter looked for resorts and played around with the site to see how much a week’s vacation would amount to. Low and behold, the cheapest stay amounted to $1,600 which is very different from the $420 that we were told it would cost.

In a panic, I called UVC to get more clarification as to why the contract and website are completely different from what the sales person promised. The customer service agent advised that they’re not sure what the sales person told me but that essentially, I WAS PAYING $100,000 TO ENSURE THAT I RECEIVE A 25% DISCOUNT ON EACH OF MY STAYS FOR 40 YEARS. As if Expedia and other travel sites didn’t exist! I am flabbergasted at how they even thought that a 25% discount would ever amount to $100,000!

I called my bank and advised that I was defrauded and asked that the transaction be reversed because I was scammed. The bank reimbursed however, they advised that there was a possibility that I might have to still pay the initial deposit of $25,000 if UVC comes back with proof that I wasn’t defrauded. Well, that day has come and they are lying saying that I used their services when I absolutely haven’t.

People, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM! Do your due diligence as I should have done. A quick search on google would’ve warned me about their unethical thieving selves. I trusted my sales person so much that I didn’t even think to check and was advised anyway that I could cancel at any time without fees.

To UVC, please understand that I’d rather spend $100,000 in litigation fees in a lawsuit than let you get away with robbing me out of $25,000. You should operate with more integrity and have your sales people tell the truth. The things promised were so different from what we are getting that we absolutely will NOT sit here and let you get away with it. You’re better off writing-off this amount as a loss because you will do right by us. We’re looking forward to having you resolving this issue.
