TurboTax No response to prior complaint

Refer to claim # [protected].

I paid twice for turbotax premier. Once at Costco for the disc and the second time when completing my return. At that time I was required to charge turbotax premier ($69) to my credit card. I sent a copy of the receipt from Costco for the first charge and you have a record of my second payment via credit card. I have submitted this claim in Feb 2022 and have not received a timely credit/explanation. What is the final resolution of my claim?

Desired outcome: I would like you to refund the $69 I paid with my credit card when I finished my taxes as this payment represents a double payment.

TurboTax California State download

i have paid for my downloads and I receive a confirmation email that contains an order number. That order number does not work for the confirmation number requested in the turbo tax program. I ordered both California state corporate and California Partnership. I used the partnership first but when I tried to use the corporate download it asked me to either pay again or enter my confirmation number from a prior purchase. The only number that I was provided was the order number from the confirmation email. That number DOES NOT WORK. I have sent emails and I have called and no one is able to provide the confirmation number for the product I already purchased. Too much work for what should be a simple process.

Desired outcome: When you send the confirmation email, actually provide a 'confirmation number'. I need the Confirmation number for order number TTDCRTA156512541. Gloria Thompson

TurboTax TurboTax Premier Desktop...

In previous years, support from an expert was readily available. I don't need Premier but I pay extra for it because I want expert help when I need it.

Now they are telling me that it costs extra.

I called TurboTax and got transferred a bunch of times. At NO TIME was I able to talk with someone who knew the program and taxation. They could not understand what I was asking: something insanely basic!

I am returning TurboTax to Costco and will buy TaxAct or H&R Block software.

BTW, I was employee #95 at Intuit in 1989. I supported Quicken 2 for DOS. So I go a long way back. The company has totally gone down the tubes and doesn't give a crap about their customers. What a shame!

Desired outcome: Fix the problems!

TurboTax Turbotax federal return

I have used turbotax for several years. Every year they add extra charges that I was unaware of. I was expecting a 30% off on my federal taxes which I did not receive. Also, the day after I filed, turbotax then offered a free version. I am just very upset about $150 taken from me for my taxes. I was expecting at least a 30% discount. I have used them for years. You would think they would help out people that regularly use their services. Next year will be different for certain.

Desired outcome: A small refund for 30% off at least on my federal return. Free should have been offered to me, so $59 refunded would be great.

TurboTax Turbotax Deluxe

For 3 years I have been unable to e-file my taxes. Last year it kept saying that my pin was bad. This year it says my AGI is bad. The IRS has lost my returns the last two years and i had to resend them. I called the help center this year and was told that my only option is to print and mail them again. I am expecting another disaster this year. I will never use turbotax again. There are to many other products out there that work.

Desired outcome: I would like my money back or have them fix their system so it will work.

Myself and other friends have had the same problem with the AGI number we have to type in the number using it. Just like it is on previous return and it worked

They will ask this for both of you if you are filing joint so it may come back asking the same question for your spouse

TurboTax taxes

I am very disasatisfied with turbotax and all I had to pay.

For the last few years they have gotten my return numbers wrong and this time made me pay 60.

Will not use again.

The fact that they say everything is correct and filed and charge an extra fee is ludicrous.

I lost 3000 due to their lack of knowledge

I filed my taxes in February and was told they were correct after they charged me 60. and both returns were incorrect and I lost over 3000.

Desired outcome: Refund

TurboTax Turbo Tax Home and Business 2021

Question asked in Turbo Tax;

Did you (me) take a Disaster Distribution between 20198 and 2020 (tax return, Form 8915) and my answer is YES.

Turbo Tax response (for the past 2 months) is;

You'll need to revisit this area, unfortunately changes related to qualified disaster distributions and repayments weren't ready in time for us to include them in this release. Please revisit this area later.

Note; Just updated Turbo Tax 2021 today on March 5th. Only one month from tax deadline.

Last time I use an Intuit product.

Desired outcome: For Turbo Tax to actually produce a product (that we pay for) which is "accurate", "functional" and actually performs to the standards that it claims when you purchase it.

TurboTax Intuit is advertising on TV and Radio Free filing of simple returns

I suggest that someone with money sues Intuit for false advertising.

I filed a return with one W-2 and 1 stimulus claim, can't get much easier than that.

They claim free filing for simple returns until March 1 2022. I filed March 2 2022.

I ended up with a bill for $ 98.00 and they would not let me see or print the return until it was paid for.

I used Turbotax for years without any problem but I will never use it again.

By the way H&R block does have a free program for simple returns.

TurboTax 2020 and 2021 turbotax

Just e-filed my 2021 1040 tax returns for fed and state. It is 3/4/2022

Like 2020, there is a calculation error for line 6 total on taxable Social Security.

I did speak with the corporate office of Intuit in California on the 2020 problem btw. The IRS did fix my tax return for the error.

Needless to say, my amount should be -0- for the taxable portion of SS, but the program has an amount calculated in. Therefore, I am paying more in taxes and possibly loosing credits as well.

Also, I did the Worksheet related to this line more than once. Went to the IRS site to make sure there were no updates.

I'll have to wait for the IRS to fix my 2021 return. Not sure how it affects my state, as I did not file an amended return for 2020 yet.

Desired outcome: program fix so I can do an amended return.

TurboTax turbotax

My refund is over $100.00 short. I went on the website, and it is completely useless. When and how am I supposed to get the rest of MY money? They suggest I make this longer but there is no need to. I didn't get all my money. I checked the IRS website and it stated that I should have received more money.

TurboTax Filing fee

At the beginning of filing, you are given 3 payment options and it only shows improvement in customer service type of situations, not different tax documents that it can or cannot submit. When you select the free version, throughout the filing process they try to get you to upgrade. I got all the way to the point I was ready to file and they said I needed to pay $119 for the premium package so that I could file a 1098-T and that unless I paid that amount I couldn't file, so I reluctantly agreed. As I was helping my brother file I noticed that if you select the premium upgrade before you start filing you only pay $29 instead of $119! I want the difference of $90 back because I don't believe what they are doing is fair.

Desired outcome: I want the difference of $90 back because I don't believe what they are doing is fair.

TurboTax Import of forms from Vanguard

For many years I use TurboTax for tax return preparation as it was recommended by Vanguard. Every year I have problems to import forms from Vanguard to TurboTax. This year after all forms imported from Vanguard I see all amounts in the list of accounts. Then I get to ‘Wages and Income’ and it shows the the line ‘Dividends on 1099-DIV’ with ‘Needs review’ for the year 2021 again. So I’m in the loop.

The case #[protected] about import of forms from Vanguard has been registered on 2/22/22. The problem is still there. When to expect the procedure fixed?

TurboTax refund shorted

Both of my state and federal returns were accepted. My federal return was supposed to be $3,038. I was charged $217.00 to file the amount after that taken out totals up to be $2,821.00. TPG Products SBTPG LLC only received $1,638.00 they took an additional $39.00 to process and deposit my return. The total charges for both Turbo Tax and TPG was $256.00 out of the $3,038 I should have received $2,782.00. I want to know why TPG only got $1,638.00 and where is the rest of my return? I only received $1,382.00. Where is my money?

Desired outcome: please refund

Turbo Tax clearly states there will be no additional fees for e-filing. SO why is TPG charging me a $60 'processing fee'?

TurboTax TuboTax on line

March 2nd 2022. I am working on W4 and the information generated did not look right. I went back to look at some of the details that were entered and noticed that on my Dividends I entered $17,178 but the information under the dividends, in blue, is shown as $20,878 When I click on the blue number the pop up shows that I entered $17,178. So, why show $20,878? To get assistance, I tried several ways but none of the information dealt with this problem. Trying to connect to a human being appears to be impossible. Past years, I would call the 800 number and very efficiently receive an answer. That is no longer the case. I am concerned about the accuracy of my filing and may have to look for different options to do future tax work.

Desired outcome: What do I need to do to resolve a simple question?

TurboTax Basic edition

I tried to complete my tax return last night. Initially, I got a message that were two errors on my return. I had scanned my W2 into my computer to hopefully make the process easier. The software copied the information from the form wrong! It shifted the information for box 14 up one line which caused an error in box d (it was now blank). I fixed the problem manually and it cleared the error. The second error was with regards to line 7 of form 5329. Apparently, you are required to file form 5329 if you receive a distribution from an IRA or HSA. I did receive an HSA distribution from a flex spending account I had with a previous employer. I tried entering both "0" (I had originally thought this should be 0 since I did not receive an IRA distribution) and $649 which is the amount I received from the HSA distribution and it did not clear the error. I tried to contact customer support and was told she was going to connect me to a tax expert. A robot came on the line and said she has information which may help, do I want her to text it or email it to me? I said "text" and the voice activation system failed to respond. I'm assuming I need the "pro" or "deluxe" or whatever the next tier is before I can speak to a tax expert? The person who originally took the call should have told me this instead of trying to rope me in to paying more money. I don't mind paying extra just be honest about it or is that too much to ask?

TurboTax Turbotax Delux for tax year 2021

Did you take our money twice? After my daughter thought she resolved the "Unwanted Schedule 8812 glitch" she used her credit card to pay for the state e-filing along with the free Fed e-file. After giving the card info, THEN the glitch error came back so she actually couldn't e-file. She re-did her whole tax return, used the crowd-sourcing self help website, solved the "Unwanted Schedule 8812 glitch" and paid again. We actually don't have any more time to help you fix your software but if you interested in knowing more on your own, my product license code is RBKJ-G4AC-NSFR-FGLQ. See for yourself if you got paid twice on this license code for filing a Georgia state return beyond the included state e-file.

Desired outcome: If you determined you took our money twice, let us know what you think the desired outcome should be.

TurboTax TurboTax charged me to e-file my state taxes. But wasn’t able to e-file them.

My city taxes weren’t done yet so I was unable to file my state taxes at the same time that my federal taxes were done. I went ahead and pushed my federal taxes to e-file them and TurboTax charged me for my state taxes . Now I’m having a hard time getting my money back. TurboTax has called me but no one wants to help me get my money back. I don’t know what TurboTax tax did but this year was very confusing doing my taxes. I probably won’t use TurboTax anymore.

Desired outcome: I want my money back.
