Disappointed with Smithfield Meat: Expensive and Fatty Cuts
The fat in the picture is from half of the tenderloin. The meat is just too expensive, and I have mouths to feed, you know? I won't be buying Smithfield meat again.
Food Inc. on Netflix: Eye-opening documentary exposes animal abuse in the food industry
Watch Food Inc. on Netflix. You'll never want to eat Smithfield again. It's animal abuse! It used to take three months for chickens to grow, but now it only takes 49 days. If you eat that food, think about what you're doing to the cows and chickens.
Disappointing Taste and Limited Availability: Smithfield Meats at Walmart
So, I've bought Smithfield products in the past, and let me tell you, they don't taste too good. It seems like Walmart is the only place that sells Smithfield's meats. Personally, I wouldn't bother spending my hard-earned cash on their meat, no matter how much rub, onions, garlic, or whatever else I put on my ribs.
Generous Compensation: Shoprite's Response to Excessive Fat in Cooks Ham Deserves Praise
We bought, or rather got a free Cooks ham at a Shoprite for Easter 'cause we spent a certain amount of money. Sadly, there was a lotta fat, more than usual. I wrote the company and they sent us two $10 coupons. That's really nice of 'em.
Disappointed with Smithfield Bacon: Torn Pieces Instead of Intact Strips
I recently purchased a package of bacon from Sam's Club, and I was extremely disappointed with the quality. Instead of finding intact strips of bacon, all I got were torn pieces. This was quite disheartening, especially considering that Smithfield bacon is known to be one of the top brands in the market and is priced accordingly. I regret spending $17.00 on a product that turned out to be nothing but garbage. As a result, I have decided not to purchase Smithfield bacon again.
Smithfield Foods: A Disappointing Decline in Quality and Flavor
Smithfield Foods, oh boy, let me tell ya, they used to be the bee's knees when it came to pork products. Back in the day, you could always count on Smithfield for some lip-smacking, finger-licking good pork. But let me tell ya, times have changed, my friend. Nowadays, Smithfield ain't what it used to be, not by a long shot.
I don't know what happened, but it seems like everything has gone downhill. The quality has taken a nosedive, and the flavor? Well, let's just say it's gone MIA. It's like they've taken all the good stuff out and left us with a bland, tasteless excuse for pork. Ain't nobody got time for that!
I used to be a loyal customer, but now I steer clear of Smithfield products like the plague. I mean, seriously, anything but Smithfield. It's such a shame to see what has become of this once proud American icon. It breaks my heart, it really does.
I don't know about you, but when I'm chowing down on some pork, I want it to be bursting with flavor, juicy and tender. But with Smithfield, it's like they've sucked all the life out of it. It's a real bummer, let me tell ya.
So, my advice to you, my fellow pork enthusiasts, is to look elsewhere for your porcine pleasures. Smithfield just ain't cutting it anymore. It's a sad state of affairs, but hey, life goes on. There are plenty of other brands out there that still know how to deliver the goods.
In conclusion, Smithfield Foods has lost its mojo. The pork products they offer these days are a far cry from what they used to be. It's a real shame, but hey, we gotta keep moving forward. So, do yourself a favor and explore other options. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.
Concerns over China's Influence: Smithfield Foods' Acquisition Raises Questions about Product Quality and Origin
This situation should concern all of us. It's a prime example of China's increasing influence in America, which we used to hear about. Smithfield Foods, founded by the Luters in 1936 and based in Smithfield, VA, used to be owned by a father and son. However, it was sold to WH Group, a Chinese-owned company. Considering the Chinese government's involvement, it's possible that Smithfield Foods is now government-owned as well, if the government deems it necessary.
What's alarming is that Smithfield Foods owns a staggering 146,000 acres of farmland, which is possibly larger than some small countries. This raises concerns about the quality of their products, which have noticeably declined in reliability. There are suspicions that their products are now being shipped from China, despite their denial. So, if you consume their products, be cautious and keep your eyes open because you have the right to make informed choices.
The question that arises is why the US government allowed the largest pork distributor to be acquired by a Chinese company. It's perplexing that this went under the radar, especially when our news stations seem to report on everything except things that truly matter, like the origin of the food we consume. So, be wary of your choices and consider who you are supporting with your purchases. It's disconcerting to realize that you may unknowingly think you're buying from a US company when it's actually from China. Recently, this fact was brought to light, and it's unsettling.
We all know that China has a reputation for questionable business practices. If you compare their meat to other pork products, you'll likely notice a difference, as I have. It's disheartening to witness the erosion of values in our farming industry, which has become dominated by big business. We must prioritize the well-being of our bodies by scrutinizing how meat is processed and cared for. It's our responsibility to protect this precious gift we've been given, our Earth.
Smithfield Foods claims to adhere to USDA regulations and comply with animal care standards. However, if you take the time to do some research, you'll find that there are still suspicions surrounding the motives behind a Chinese company's decision to acquire this US-based company. It's hard to ignore the fact that a significant land purchase in the US may have been the driving force behind this acquisition.
Unprofessional and Disrespectful Treatment at Smithfield Foods: A Disappointing Experience
My husband is a professional trucker, and he was polite and kept quiet when he was continuously spoken to in a rude, disrespectful, and unpleasant manner. This happened not just once, but twice. We brought a load to Smithfield Foods because we own a dog and couldn't walk her on their premises. As instructed by the staff in receiving, we dropped off the trailer. The trailer was in good condition and running properly. He was told to come back and pick up the empty trailer when Smithfield called. On our return trip, he checked in at the gate, and the employee there was dismissive and impolite about picking up our trailer because it was being loaded in a door. However, they provided an alternative trailer. Alright then. Being a professional, he continued with his job and went to retrieve the secondary trailer. After hooking up to the trailer, he discovered that the reefer wouldn't run. The yard jockey told him that it had been running all day and now the trailer was his problem. They told him to hang up the phone with his company and leave the lot immediately. Alright, fine. We don't mind dealing with the trailer, even though it causes us to lose time and money because our dispatched load can't be delivered properly. Smithfield, your employees represent and reflect YOUR COMPANY and who you are as a whole. My husband showed respect and was polite to employees who definitely didn't deserve it in return. Shame on your behavior. You couldn't even give my husband time to handle the broken-down trailer that you swapped for a working one. And you can't tell me that the yard jockey didn't know about it based on her behavior. Once again, the North is rude while Southern kindness prevails. I expected more from this business. It seems that professionalism only goes so far in many places nowadays. I was raised to always do your best, stand out, and go above and beyond in a respectful manner. It's a pity that more people can't follow the same principles in life.
Smithfield Farms: The Worst Animal Abusers on the Planet
Everyone knows the saying "wake up and smell the bacon." It's all about that delicious aroma of a hearty breakfast with bacon and eggs. And let's not forget the mouthwatering baby back ribs when we go out for some Chinese food. While many people express gratitude to cows for their roast beef sandwiches, we should also show some love to our piggy friends. However, there's one company that doesn't deserve any respect, and that's Smithfield Farms, the worst animal abusers on the planet.
Smithfield is not just about their own brand, they also own other well-known names like Nathans, Farmland, and Farmer John. But behind these brands lies a dark truth. They have been caught mistreating their workers, even resorting to physical violence when employees dared to ask for better wages and working conditions. Thankfully, the U.S. Court of Appeals stepped in and ruled against this abuse. But let me tell you, I would rather go hungry than support a company that allows such disgusting practices. And let's not forget the countless lawsuits in the U.S. regarding the massive amounts of animal waste produced by Smithfield's thousands of farms. The stench is unbearable, and it's a shame that these so-called corporate citizens have friends in high places, including judges who turn a blind eye to their wrongdoings.
Now, I'm not here to preach about going vegan. Eating is a personal choice, and it's one of life's pleasures. However, there's something deeply unethical and immoral about confining piglets in gestation cages where they can barely move, leading them to chew on the very cages that imprison them and driving them to madness. This is a far cry from the responsible farming practices that treat animals with dignity and respect, practices that allow us to enjoy the foods we love. And let's not forget the horrific treatment of chickens, where workers are so emotionally affected that they resort to ripping off the heads of live chickens and spray painting them for their sick amusement. If you think Colonel Sanders is a cool dude spreading positivity, think again. KFC and Tyson may be runners-up in the cruelty department, but they're not far behind Smithfield in their unfathomable acts of cruelty.
In conclusion, it's important to be aware of the companies we support and the practices they engage in. Smithfield Foods may try to hide behind their various brands, but their true colors shine through. Let's choose to support socially responsible farming practices that prioritize the well-being of animals and the workers who care for them. And let's say no to companies like Smithfield, KFC, and Tyson that perpetuate a cycle of cruelty and disregard for life.
