Having been Sky customers for many years and avid Golf viewers, why do we now have to endure Alison Whitaker an opinionated woman with a terrible loud Grating voice/accent that makes my wife an I look for the mute button! Her grammar is awful and she continually introduces booming interferences of Sky's excellent commentators. How do people as bad as her manage to find their way on to a Sky platform?
Please replace her ASAP.

I like to say well done when sky deserves it and the commentary team are great for the Alfred Dunhill..and the boys were referring to the wild life earlier in the week with some very humourous off the wall comments but also knowledgeable..thanks I'm enjoying it
She's back for another season. Another season of switching off the sound. Pressing mute or just forcing myself to put up with it. Alison Whitaker repeating information on the screen over and over. That stupid clipped commentary voice. I absolutely loathe it.
Hi, thank you for the excellent commentary team on the Sunshine tour. I love Jay & the boys. The 'Investic South African Open' is picturesque & there is a lovely calmness to it albeit not the greatest field but I'm enjoying it so much...thanks again
To Sky Sports: please take note of the complaints regarding A Whittaker. You have done absolutely nothing to resolve this issue. Instead you have introduced a young female as a diversionary tactic to take the heat off Ms Whittaker which in itself is sick & it shows you have no respect for women. This is in the 'Nedbank Challenge' it's been ruined for many golf fans. But the young female is not the issue A Whittaker is. Please do as requested by the vast majority of pure avid golf fans & take A Whittaker off the commentary team for men's pro golf. Stop pandering to women & do the right thing...thank you.
I am very disappointed you have not removed Ms Whittaker from the commentary team. I am watching the Nedbank Championship Day 1 & was enjoying Jay giving his usual experienced comments when suddenly this voice emerged of Ms Whittaker & Jay hasn't been heard since. It's scandalous how he is treated but a lot worse is the fact that Ms Whittaker has once again taken over with her nonsensical facts & figures. Why are you doing this to us ? She is in no way experienced enough or knowledgeable enough for men's golf. It's impossible to enjoy the golf with her talking nonsense. I have no problems with the other female, she doesn't pretend to be something she's not. Please I am begging you put Ms Whittaker on the women's tour. I don't see what's wrong with that. Her comments would be welcome there but not in the men's game. The lads don't express themselves properly when she's there. Come on do the right thing, Move her on..thank you

I have to say the commentary team for the D+D Real Czech Masters is excellent. The boys are making their usual off the wall comments & the girl, I haven't heard her today in the final round, was very good also without being in your face
I'm Australian and i cant STAND to hear her commentary. I'm currently watching the 3rd round and she's commentating. I will be ropable if she does the last 9 of the 4th round. For context I like to listen to Dotty Pepper.
I just cant listen to Alison Whittaker doing the Open 2023. I find her commentary very grating. Must we always have to have a female commentator doing mens sports? I was that annoyed i tried to fast forward the live telecast!
Get rid of Alison Whitaker. Golf is unwatchable with her incessant blathering. Almost every comment is unnecssary. I yell at the TV please shutup. Just once shutup. Have to put it on mute. Why didnt they have her on at the end of the Scottish Open? Because she's awful and would have completely ruined the ending. If she's on at the end of the British Open...that voice will ruin it.

Please give her a break. Whittaker's grating voice and abrupt quips. Reading stats off the net. Name dropping. Spitting into the mic. You know... it's ok to let the golf do the talking.. even if it's just for 30 seconds. It's actually really unfair on all the viewers. All my mates at golf no longer watch anymore because of her. Iona on the other hand.. is spot on.
She's awful. Why is she on for so many hours? As soon as I hear her stupid, obvious comments I want to throw something at the TV. She'll read whatever is on the screen and comment. How does she get in a position of 'authority' on golf? Her clipped commentary method is so irritating she seems to be out of breath or who knows what.
Somewhere in there you missed her appallingly incoherent word salad she intones in the run-up to every advertising break. Phrases she produces apropos of nothing to do with recent subjects discussed are completely incomprehensible. The Sky broadcasting product is diminished everytime she is in the box, sorry, but that's how it is.
Alison Whittaker is dreadful for the men's golf tournaments.. she is now totally dominating the commentry box once the leaderboard is shown on the ET: MADE IN HIMMERLAND, DAY I giving us a heap of fractional statistics which Einstein would find it difficult to understand. I said before to promote her to the women's game where her comments would be totally accepted & applauded but this is the men's game where commentators like Jay Townsend & Co are light years ahead of her. It's time for her to go, not a holiday but for good. She will have plenty of other opportunities but the guys make comments which are recognized down through the decades. She just can't shut up drowning out the lads anyone of whom should be the lead commentator as they have much more experience.

I totally with this review.
No doubt Alison has knowledge but her tone and what appears to be a need to say something opinion based rather than an overview of what’s happening is also making me press the mute button and at times switching channel.
No offence but you have a great team but this colleague needs to change her style.
Oh my good God. SHE is back again at the DS AUTOMOBILES D'ITALIA DP World Tour. Why did you bring her back when the majority of comments are saying she just doesn't hack it in the pro men's game. She is still trying to prove she knows it all & sounds like a kid constantly putting his/her hand up in school. Otaegui just hit a shot with a low iron & Ms Whittaker said he will have to keep the face shut, ridiculous. Where does she get her information from. This is the men's professional tour, maybe she could get away with stupid remarks in the women's game but not here. I am listening intently to all the comments & she is the only one chancing their arm. The lads know the game inside out & don't need to prove themselves in any way. Please move her on, she is putting me off the relaxing calmness of watching golf. Thank you
Please someone make an app that blocks Alison Whitaker's voice. I switch off the TV, put it on mute, change channels. Anything to avoid the useless, obvious observation commentary. It's a great relief when she has a break and I don't have to listen to that horrible voice or the ridiculous laughing in the background when someone makes a joke.

I apologize for all my negative comments regarding Alison Whittaker, I wish her well, but it's just so great to hear the lads commentating at the 'Alfred Dunhill Links Championship' having a laugh and showing natural camaraderie. So good to hear Ken.

Why did Alison Whittaker get the most important commentary on the pictures of the winning player and his family. She is so dead, there is no real excitement in her and we the viewers have to endure it. Why does she take over when she is not a good commentator.. and she is just copying Jay in describing the brilliant shot to the 18th by Guido Migliozzi. Jay had said it was one thing to think of it but quite another to take it on and she then says more or less the same thing before she left us all on a downer by saying she will see us all next week..please no. Get rid of her, don't let her come back next week. Tell her she is being promoted to the women's game.

Alison Whittaker should be commentating on the women's golf not the men's. Who gave her the right to do this. No avid golf fan would want her, she talks nonsense because she is not into the golf the way men are. Women have no idea of the distances men can hit the ball as they play much shortened courses. So what is the point of putting Alison Whittaker in our way of enjoying our beautiful game. She trys to put interesting questions to the guys but fails to say anything of interest. We don't want her in the commentary box. At least send her out on the course and bring Jay, that brilliant commentator, in.
Why can't Whittaker just keep quiet, she is trying to be part of every conversation that the boys are having missing the point most of the time. Just now the boys were saying how Højyaard's caddy was superb in getting him to lay up when Whittaker interjected with another nonsensical comment 'all caddies on every hole' she said. You have to get rid of her, you are also letting her take over the entire commentary set up. You are ruining the golf season that the avid golf fans so love. She is an irritating person. Forget about equality and do what is correct, thank you.

Once she starts Alison Whittaker just doesn't know how to shut up, she has a mouthful of statistics but in male golf you need much more. She has ridiculous comments like a few moments ago she went on about how Hajgaard, the overnight leader by about 7 shots, had all night to think about it... Would someone please tell her this isn't the final day.. it was natural for Hajgaard to come back to the field after his amazing 15 under for the first 2 days. All the guys kept quiet, no one wants to cross a woman in these crazy times. Please put her onto the woman's tour and tell her it's a promotion.
I was looking forward to relaxing and watching the French Open Golf but you have destroyed it for those of us avid golf fans by having Alison Whittaker as a commentator once again. She should be doing womens golf not the male game. I turned it off for the last 2 hours and now I am watching the finish on Day 1, she is still mouthing off and there is no sign of Jay. Please get rid of her. She of course will get away with it with newcomers to golf but not to guys and gals who live and love the game.
Please send Alison Whittaker out on the course and please stop sending Jay, it's a complete insult to him. She is better seen and not heard whereas Jay should be heard all the time. Get a grip and do what most viewers want and send Alison to the women's game. It's time to stand up to this equality nonsense. It seems you are afraid to have Jay in the commentary box because he would show up Alison's poor comments.
Why are you persisting with Alison Whittaker as a male golf commentator. Jay Townsend should be given much more commentary but instead you have practically muted him and Whittaker can't close her mouth. I just want to listen to the men's golf with the male quips and excellent commentary that as always been part and parcel of our game. We don't want a female trying to butt in. Alison is made for the women's game. It's obvious the guys are afraid to express themselves with her around so give us and them a break.
I just want to add this regarding the Italian Open day 3, why is Jay Townsend sent out on the course, he is by far and away the best golf commentator.. with all this equality going on why wasn't Alison Whittaker sent out. This nonsense of pandering to women is embarrassing and destroying sport in general.
Alison Whitaker is the absolute pits of a commentator. I cannot stand that horrid voice and her mainly boring and ridiculous comments.
Sky tv, why don’t you employ someone from the UK to do the job instead of a loud mouthed Australian.

Alison Whittaker should not be commentating on men's golf. She is very poor and is continually looking for coroboration from her male colleagues after making some comment. It's not about good or bad, it's that male terminology is just way different from women's.
Alison Whittaker is merely copying the men's golfing terminology. The brilliant Jay Townsend recently said "right in the Jaws" referring to a putt and Alison who was a co commentator suddenly started to use the word "Jaws" she should be commentating on the women's game not the men's. It's not natural for women to talk like men and female golfing terminology is awful. Of course male comments can be off the wall and very comical whereas Alison is trying to be professional.
That grating aussie voice from a girl who speaks like she’s got credentials for a touring pro level swing analyst is more than I can take. Add the fact the [censored] never goes home to that island who has rolled over and let the government [censored] them in the [censored] then piss on their faces. Go home you awful woman.
