Poker World ONE ISSUE DEVS PLEASE READ THIS!

I love having an offline poker game to help me learn how to play before I move on to the real deal. The interface is nice and clean, there’s no stressful time limit and the game is fair. It doesn’t starve you of in game cash to force you into forming up money if you want to continue (at least not yet). It seems really high quality, really nice graphics and it even has “characters” for challenges and rankings. It also allows you to watch ads for chips which is awesome, and at the same time there are NO intrusive ads during gameplay.

The only reason I’m deducting stars is because if I’m using my AirPods to listen to Spotify and I open this app, it automatically disconnects my AirPods from my phone. I have no clue why. I’ve tried turning the app music and sound effects off, restarting etc to no avail. I can’t listen to my music while playing this game and that’s essential to my experience personally, I’ve always got music in my ears.

PLEASE FIX THIS BUG DEVS! I love your game and I’m already totally hooked! It’s just one error away from being perfect! I’d be happy to revise my review to 5/5 if this problem gets fixed. PLEASE! Thank you!

Poker World Too expensive

Game has great graphics and production values. The flaw is that 'tickets' a second form of currency in the game are almost impossible to come by. There are daily challenges, but after winning a challenge you have to wait 3 hours before you can play the next. You need to play and win 6 of these to get a single ticket. Realistically it will take over a day to earn a ticket while waiting for the timers. When there are games you can't play in single player unless you have a ticket, you can see how there is a big roadblock to progressing in the single player. $5 gets you only 7 tickets which is what I think a fair price for this game is if it were not free to play. I have grinded out 2 free tickets described by playing 6 matches above and lost the region one tournament both times. That tells me my $5 won't go that far. I didn't even mention you also run out of chips easily as well and need to do the same grinding to get chips. Fantastic game that is a lot of fun but is just too expensive for most people. If you plan on playing free and grinding a lot most still won't be able to pass the first area in a month. Instead of playing tournaments and progressing you will spend day after day completing a one on one matches to earn a single ticket needed for a chance to progress in the actual game. I gave up. Not worth paying for and not worth it for free.

Poker World STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME

UPDATE (my original comment is below):

Let me walk through a few situations that FREQUENTLY (and when I say frequently I mean like every other hand) happen:

1. High stack goes all in on the flop. Random computer player, who has a medium amount of chips, calls (and therefore is all in). The cards are flipped - the medium stack has 7 4 off-suit. The medium stack player has not even made a pair, yet is calling an all in. In what world will this player even call the big blind?!?!?!? To make matters worse, this player will most likely get 2 runner cards to win the hand.

2. 5 players go all in (it always seems like when one player goes all in, a whole bunch of players follow them). Once the hole cards are flipped, you see some of the worst cards possible. WHY are these players going all in when 4 other players did? These players ALWAYS end up knocking me out. And guess what, now I need to wait 8+ hours to have enough chips to enter ONE tournament.

3. Enter a 24 person tournament for 10k chips. Get 3rd place. What’s the payout? Like 6k chips. So I outlasted 21 other players and get LESS than my buy in? I want the developers of this game to respond and give an honest opinion of why they think any of this is fair.

THIS GAME MAKES ME WANT TO THROW MY PHONE THROUGH THE WALL

Original comment:
Total cash grab. It is impossible to advance past the second location in this game without spending real money. Once you advance past Atlantic City, the tournaments are super expensive to buy in, and you don’t even win your buy-in back if you place 3rd. The computer makes huge bets on random hole cards (K5 offsuit for example), and when you call them with a good hand, guess what - you’re gonna lose. Plus, the blinds raise SO fast, that you can’t even try to play tight, because you lose your entire stack in 5 minutes just on blinds alone. This game is nothing more than a cash grab. The devs need to totally fix the broken system it’s running on. 0 stars if I could

Poker World Ok but really rigged against you

While this game can be very entertaining, good luck winning on any type of normal consistent mode.

I have discovered that the only way for me to have any small chance of actually winning a tournament is to fold every hand, even if I have a decent pocket pair, until I am actually one of the blind and I just play while in blind position.I noticed that when I am finally in a heads up situation the opponent will normally win with three of a kind or a full house. And their three of a kind is usually 999. Be careful in a heads up game, if the flop has a 9, just fold! The will have trips or better! Trust me, it happens consistently.

In a real poker setting no one would raise or bet big as frequently as these opponents do. So while this is just a game, it doesn’t really offer a real life feel to playing. It is rigged against you from the beginning.

When I have tried playing Blackjack the house will continue to draw cards and amazingly they’ll keep drawing small cards until they beat you the hard way. Anytime I have gotten a 10 and a 3 and I draw I always get a face card to bust me.
Whenever they have shown a 10 and a 3 and draw they will either get a 7 or an 8. They never bust when they’re showing 13. They win consistently, more than the real life average for Blackjack, while you lose more frequently that normal.

In Slots they will offer you a free spin and you always win big on that first free spin. But when you start to bet your own money you lose time after time.

Let’s face it, the developers want you to spend real money buying chips. I guess that some players get so frustrated about continuously losing and having to wait hours to be able to play again that they finally succumb and dish out real money to keep playing. That’s how they get you.So the only way I have found to play this game is to just wait out until I have a chance to replenish chips while playing the free games or the free spins they offer every 4 hours.

I would have much preferred paying money to download this game if it would have offered a more realistic type of poker playing. The “Free” downloads will always be rigged against you.

Poker World Not a fair representation of actual poker play

Can you play poker offline - yes, can you beat the AI - yes, is this game worth your time - no.

Just won the Eastern US tournament (first tourney of the game). The tournament is a $10K buy-in with 24 people in a winner takes all payout. So, the payout should be... $240K, right? Wrong, a measly $20K.

And it gets worse, the game makes you buy items - to boost your reputation of course. So, all that money that you risk amounts to about $4K in “winnings”. What player would ever risk that kind of odds?

The game is not meant for anything other than to give the developer real money to continue playing. This game lost all credibility in my book.

Poker World Rigged

I’ve played enough poker to know the difference between a bad run and a rigged system. They don’t let you move on until you win different regions, but you’re not going to win. They want you to buy chips and reputation points to play the tournaments and move on. Way too many bad beats on the river with none going my way to think it’s not rigged. I considered paying to get rid of the ads but not for a rigged game.

Rigged rigged rigged to try to get you to spend.

Also they move the blinds around incorrectly. Sometimes I’ll be big blind twice in a row, others I’m skipped.
As the blinds go up it just becomes an all in fest. Poker isn’t played. Might as well turn over the cards and the best hand wins.

Poker World Broken clock & microtransactions

What happened to simple, honest apps?!?! Offline games without dozens & dozens of the same boring bloody ad. Ones where you paid .99 - 4.99 and could play endlessly - now everyone has countless ads , or buy need to buy more upgrades, chips, whatever - ( or come back tomorrow & the following 4 days to claim 1/5 of what you need to even enter a game) ... tired of these. There used to be a Texas Hold’em where you start in your basement, & progressed up thru the ranks. Not enough profit in there for Apple so they don’t allow nor encourage updates. Instead no support, now get your butt to the App Store & buy, buy, buy, buy the basic, AND then you need to pay to remove ads or to get enough chips to play more than one hand per week.
Tired of these scams.

Poker World Horrible poker play

I've played the previous Youda poker games and they were all fun. However, this game is a huge miss. The flop shows a pair on the board once every 4 or 5 hands, hole cards are 2/9, 2/8, 6/8, j/7, q/4, 4/5, or 2/3 nearly 30-40% of the time. GOP 2 had the ability to fold/skip hands to move the game along, but they didn't put that in here so an 8 person tourney takes nearly an hour. The poker engine is nothing close to reality and needs a lot of work. It is very much geared to make the user lose chips and pay for more, but if you play a few games, you can pick up on the above trends very quickly and realize purchasing more chips is a waste of money unless you want to play a game where the objective is to win tourneys with the hands above and an occasional decent hand that won't pair (or will pair with 4 of the same suit on the board).
