Governor of Poker 2 Duped Me Out Of $$$

SHAME ON YOU FOR BLAMING ANYONE BUT YOU! Wanted to make a buy for a certain $$ and was charged more than double the advertised price. When I wrote in the only said sorry it was Apples fault because they are the ones that billed me. BS! The charge came before Apple ever got involved. Shady and dishonest. Then got follow up email like they had done something good. STUPID AND OBNOXIOUS! Not worth it! Go for another poker game. I’ve tried others, even with online players that are better than this and you can actually learn the game and not get ripped off. Some of the plays seem rigged as well on the side of the computer. Needless to say I deleted the app.

Governor of Poker 2 Numbers don’t lie. I concur the game is rigged

The game is fair at first. Then I bought the app (didn’t reads the reviews first shame on me). Now all I get is crappy hands and when I finally do get a good hand the computer has the same hand as me and I have to split the pot. I had a straight and the computer had the EXACT same cards as me. This happens ALL the time. You wanna know the odd of that...

(2 / 52) (1 / 51) = (2 / 2652) => (1 / 1326)

Which in percentage gives you a probability of 0.0754% for this event to happen once. From here you can multiple this by the number of times the event/same hands occurred.

This happens so much I had to google this. NUMBERS DONT LIKE MR. DEVELOPER FIX THE GAME MAKE IT FAIR!

Governor of Poker 2 Don’t bother

I was liking the game despite the total lack of any instruction on how to move from place to place and what buying houses does (you would think you get money from rent but not so). Then, I was low on chips so I was following the prompt to watch a video for 80 chips and guess what? No chips were added. I watched several more and still nothing so I contacted customer service. Andy was right on top of it responding several days later with “Did you watch it until the end?” Well, yeah. Several more days go by before he responded again with “Sometimes there’s a limit on how many chips you can get per day by watching a video.” Really? Then why is it available? Are you going to do ANYTHING?
Nope. Delete.

Governor of Poker 2 Set up to lose

I’ve played many poker games with the understanding that there’s a risk when playing. Yet this game is filled with bugs and clearly rigged to make you lose. I’ve played enough to see the signs that I have a winning hand, only to be outdone. For example. I’ll have a straight to Jack and someone has a straight to queen. The problem is it happens ALOT! Just when I truly set it up to have a win I lose. This game is meant to take your money and no matter how you try to “play” the game the odds are completely against you. Sadly,I paid for the game and oh the open map it claims you get, is not open at all. It’s just a way to make you think you get something when all you get is ripped off. Don’t waste your money.

Governor of Poker 2 Unfair

So I know that a full house beats a three of a kind by far but it’s the simple fact that had I been the one with the full house I wouldn’t have gotten the full pot and won. It seems every time I’m sure to work the game magically helps the AI win and I can tell that it does. It seems to me that the AI knows what you have weather they something good or not which an AI can b they are apart of the same program but it also seems that player AI and the Dealer AI use a co strategy to make you loose and this in real poker is unreal. I can understand the need to make money for a free app but to do so unfairly isn’t the way to go and it’s really low. So unless you want to watch yourself loose money pointlessly don’t get this game and that’s the truth.

Governor of Poker 2 Game is programmed to get in you're wallet

I love to play poker and i am a big fan... I play several online poker games including for cash no limit... But i have to say this game is a disgrace for the game of poker... when you start off the game you have fair luck and playing tight aggressive wins you pretty much all up until Fort Stockton... were you start going threw 25 & 30 straight flops without a single pair or hope of pocket pair! & when you do actually finally get a pair almost everyone folds... and if you buy chips all of a sudden luck changes SMH ‍♂️FOH Lol absolutely garbage this game is simply Spam! Only if apple had some kind of scam proof system or something & this apps wouldn't slip in & be able to spam loyal users this is the new modern way of theft! game should be illegal!

Governor of Poker 2 Cheats?

Thought I must have seen the hands incorrectly at first, but sure enough I’ve caught three or five hands that should have won but didn’t, or that won but didn’t pay out - I should have placed first in a tournament when the other player went all in (at around $1k) and I won the hand. Instead, I was given less than $200 for the winning hand and the other player was given back the rest of their money and allowed to keep playing! Zero sense. I paid for the app and don’t mind supporting and paying for games I enjoy, but not when they’re designed to cheat and scam. Also, I’ve NEVER had the same level of HORRIBLE luck/hands in real life that I’m constantly being dealt in this game. This would be a phenomenal and insanely popular game if they would play by the rules and/or work out these “bugs.”

Governor of Poker 2 Poker or Broker?

Have any of you out there played governor of poker on the PC? If you have you will know that the ranking of cards and hands aren't accurate to the real game and even if you win by some miracle there is no guarantee you will receive the entire pot. This version is even worse. If you get down neck to neck in this game between you and another player, there's a chance you won't win but not by any legitimate reasons. If your hand makes a flush and the opponents makes a pair is a good chance you want to take away $300 out of $1200. Any clue why that would be the case? Point being this is a fairly poorly done game. Unlike the online one where you can make loans in the game to receive extra money this one you only unfortunately have to buy more chips. In the end it's a rigged game with rigged prices.

Governor of Poker 2 New update FAIL

I am so disappointed in this game . This was by far my favorite poker game to play , I have almost beat the entire game . The app automatically updated and it is HORRIBLE . It went from $4,200 to play a poker tournament to $20,000 how outrageous of a jump is that . I had over $100,000 in the game which was considered a lot before now with the raised prices of rent and tournament fees a hundred thousand is barely enough to play a few games of poker let alone buy an entire town like I have done in the past . I own almost every city in this game and now I'm completely not interested in playing anymore . The fact that the creators just want people having to spend their money to constantly buy chips is so sad . This truly was a five star game , that I played daily . Horrible update , very dissatisfied. 1 star .

Governor of Poker 2 Way to beat this game

Like many other have said, they try to force you to buy more chips because it's so easy to lose and hard to get chips, no rents without playing a game. I ended up beating the game, bought all houses, mines and became governor by simply just playing local games (no tournaments until I become governor and with so much money). By playing local games, you can leave the table anytime, you can lose or win a little and leave the table or win a lot and leave , don't ever try to be greedy to beat all players, as long as you winning money, you just leave the table. Just by doing this you can beat the game without buying extra chips. After buying the whole Texas, you get $2300 a day from rent, which is pretty good. Keep winning and you can enjoy all the tournaments without the pressure of going out of money. Hope this helps.

Governor of Poker 2 Pay to play

I hardly ever give reviews for apps in the App Store but I’m so disappointed I wanted to give a warning. I’m a firm believer in paying for applications you enjoy playing. So after a few days, I paid for this application. It was only after that I realized at some point you will need to continue paying in order to progress in this game. I’m okay for paying once but I’ll delete this app when I get to the point that I have to pay more money to continue playing. As you progress from city to city the entry fees get more expensive and there are more players in each game. In some games you can get third place and still loose your entire entry fee. If you follow that logically you will end up with 0 in the player account and will be forced to pay real money to continue to play this game. I’m a pay once kind of player. I want all of the features of the game after I pay for it in the App Store. I don’t want to have to pay again and again.

Governor of Poker 2 Best app for playing Hold'em tournaments against AI, but eventually has to be re-installed

In most ways, this is an excellent app. The only iOS app I've found that lets you play in reasonably large Texas Hold'em tournaments against AI opponents (up to 32 "players" in tournament). No pesky humans to worry about, and you can pause at any time. The AI is good. If you want to quickly get in your proverbial 10,000 hands of Hold'em against pretty good "players" very quickly, this is a good way to rapidly improve your game.

The one quite annoying downside is that eventually the game will hang in such a way that there's nothing left to do but uninstall, reinstall, lose most or all of your progress, and pay $2.99 again (realistically, you need to buy that many chips in order to become self-sustaining) to start all over. Same problem on iPhone 5, 6, and 6s. I'm on my 4th go-round with this game. Do NOT play at the highest speed (speed 3); that makes the unrecoverable hang problem occur very quickly. Trust me on this; there is no magic procedure to avoid this problem. The game has a bug, and this is the consequence.

Again, though, if you don't mind ponying up $2.99 every 2500 hands or so, this game is a good way to practice for real life Hold'em tournament casino play.

Governor of Poker 2 Good game, lousy tech support!

Update! They finally fixed the game so you can get to other cities etc. seems to be working well now, I've updated my 1star review to a 4 star because these issues (read below) have been fixed. Not giving a 5 star rating because the new cities cost WAY to much to play games and buy houses, it's essentially made it impossible to advance in a reasonable amount of time without spending REAL money to buy game money, and since I already paid for the full version i resent this new pay-to-play culture/trend. Sorry, five stars is reserved for great games that offer fair play

***old review ***
I've been playing this game for several months, and love the interface and seems like it's pretty fair game play and not cheating, so I paid to upgrade to the "full version"...big mistake!

After upgrading you're supposed to be able to play more levels and unlock travel to different cities. Well, the game just won't. I've emailed back and forth with a tech support person MANY times, and they seem like they are putting in the time, but then nothing ever gets fixed. They won't refund my payment for upgrade even though I've sent the screen shots they requested, my receipt from iTunes proving I upgraded and all other things they wanted before ACTUALLY trying to help me.

As of today I've only been able to play one city, and have all the houses and more money than I can spend in the game

Good/great game, but beware that they we out to screw you with the upgrade

I'll update if/when they finally fix my game issue...

Governor of Poker 2 Each update creates new bugs

Third update on review... NOW, I can't finish game as it won't let me play at the Goldmine. I need this win to play the Governor.
I guess Youda Games care more about their other games than fixing their older games.

It WAS a good game. Then, with one update there were a lot of bugs. Then they fixed those bugs but now a new one appeared. It freezes several times during one tournament. I've written to them about this a few times to no avail.

Governor of Poker 2 Wasted my money

I had the first version on my iPhone, but it won’t work with the new iOS. I downloaded the second... then paid for the full version to avoid all the annoying ads. I wanted a game to help me learn the strategy in playing. I did NOT want an AI that does not bet based on the cards dealt pre-flop. It is not realistic to go all in on a 2 and 3 off suit. I find myself just folding every hand instead of playing a game that I paid for. I wasted my money on this game!

Governor of Poker 2 Not worth your time

In this game, the CPU bets right away to the ~50s in just the first town and before the flop. I either fold or end up losing because I can't tell if my cards are good enough to win. Even if I do have a good enough hand, such as a three of a kind with 10s, the computer with the same exact hand (three of a kind 10s) wins and takes all the money that I should have gotten some of. This game isn't worth your time, and I didn't even mention the ads before every single tournament.

Governor of Poker 2 Wish I could give it a zero

Paid to get rid of ads, and thought the game was fun, until I learned it wasn’t free at all and I was going to have to pay money frequently to keep playing. What a scam. Only an idiot would keep paying to play a game of chance they can never win any money on. I mean, it’s fun, but there are plenty of games that are more fun that you don’t have to pay for continuously. Stay away. Save your dough. I feel misled. Next Poker app I find, I’ll read the negative reviews first.

Governor of Poker 2 Gov of poker2 not so much

This game is rigged to make you spend your money! The buy-ins are too high and properties. Need a re-play button, so you can review who actually won. I believe I was cheated out of a few hands even on 1x speed it moves fast. I can't find the leave table button in cash games, Contacted developer took a few days to hear back only to be told it's in upper left corner. Tried cash game again still couldn't find it. The graphics are good, too bad it cost too much to play could be fun.

Governor of Poker 2 Constant ads

The poker play itself is okay for an offline poker game. But the AI is somewhat ridiculous as it will call pre-flop hands that most would fold, and then it hits those hands. For example, I had A-K suited and went all in (pre-flop) with over $150 in chips. One of the hands called with 2-9 off suit and hits 2 pair.

But the biggest drawback is that there are constant ads. Even while playing, an ad bar covers up the action "buttons". Pretty annoying with the ads all over the place.

Governor of Poker 2 Buggy money sucking app

The bugs and game freezes drove me away.
This is the first review I have ever written, that’s how upset I am with this app...
Several times would be in the final three people at a table and the entire game would freeze. I would have to back out of app and come back in and start the poker game over completely, with no credit for chips.
K with their support would say sorry...
It was fun until the problems started showing up, then it became frustrating and annoying. Waste of time and money...

Governor of Poker 2 A joke

I find this game no different than any other.
The basic function of the game is to sell.
Sell maps and sell chips.
When a game allows fare play to come before selling then it would be worth sharing with friends . Phone cost enough on my monthly budget , will not spend any extra on games . So I must look for games that are fare and entertaining , and don’t require additional monies to play. This one won’t work . I’ll get tiered of it soon and delete it , being I can only play in limited area.

Governor of Poker 2 Horrible ads

The poker is fine and the game is fun, but google places ads across the bottom of the screen while playing and it covers the buttons to act. You can x it out but then google leaves a blank box the same size for the rest of the game anyway. Very frustrating. The ads in between games trick you too. I know free games come with ads, but cmon. Theres a fake x that makes you go to the game in the ad as if someone trying to x it out is gonna download said game. Doesnt make sense to me. Im done with this game.

Governor of Poker 2 Bugs bugs bugs

This program has bugs in it. I have paid for it and after I did the bugs appeared. The most annoying being in the middle of a poker game the game will freeze or your command bar on whether to bet fold call what gave you will not appear and you have to shut down and restart. Very annoying. I give it a low rating because it is a pain to have to restart the game multiple times in one hand of poker. Also annoying that the bugs did not appear until after I paid for the game. Very poor form by Youda games.

Governor of Poker 2 Hi-Jacked

Don't Bother! the game would be worth $4 but it doesn't take long before you are out of money and cannot play until you pay more "USD" for more chips. When I paid $4 for the game, I got more chips but the player skill shot way up and I ended up losing it all because you can't leave a town before winning. The free version has 30 second long video ads at every turn. This app should be called: "Keep paying us to play poker offline." Nice try. This is a waste of money since I can't play without buying more chips. Suggestion: Don't bother even downloading it.

Governor of Poker 2 Frustrating

It’s really hard to win even on normal difficulty due to the CPU getting the card they need on the river 50% of the time. For example, I had an ace high straight after the turn and forced the CPU to go all in if they wanted to call, which they did. They had 4 spades at the time and nothing else. The river was their 5th spade. I know poker is a game of luck and these things happen, but at the rate that the CPU makes terrible calls only to be bailed out on the river is frustrating. This is just one example and I felt like I was playing behind the 8 ball in every game.

Governor of Poker 2 Nowhere near as good as his Poker World

Looking for offline poker games and found Poker World and it was perfect! Player faces and personalities, good poker, options (head to head, tournaments to progress, ranked players to move up the ranks, etc. I played it for a long, long time and recently won the world championship. Looking for something new and decided to try this since same developer. But this is a disaster. Everything is WAY too small in the tournaments, hats instead of faces remove all personality, lots of “stuff”’that really doesn’t add to the poker, etc. The tiny cards and table make it more a drudge to play. Would love and would pay for a Poker World 2.

Governor of Poker 2 Fun but RIGGED

Kinda fun at 1st but completely rigged to try and force you to buy premium. Even if you don't care about additional towns it's rigged so you will lose your money no matter what (tried new game 3 times) and even if you own the whole town rent is not enough for buy in. You can't skip a day to save up rent because game won't let you without playing at least one game of poker which you can't do when you run out of money unless you buy more! Oh and if you travel to the coal mine (which says takes 3 days) and back (6 days total) you still will not earn rental! No free game rigged to try and get you to spend real $$ right from the get go so be prepared!

Governor of Poker 2 Ai poker with profits in mind

I’ve played this game on the pc, much better and no real money needed. The problem with this type of game is that it is in their best interest that you lose, so that you may pay real money for chips. First town is ok, to get you hooked. Then you pay for the game which is reasonable. After that the gameplay is fraudulent and fixed. You will lose winning hands. You will lose to astronomical odds, and often. In order to really keep playing you will need t spend real money to buy chips. Once you realize that they want you to lose and they are totally in control of that, you know that it is rigged. Stick with real player poker games and pass on this one.
