Awful
Having such a hard time getting my…
Having such a hard time getting my final bill sorted, the house was unoccupied for a short period in between tennants, I called to pay the bill, set up an account and submitted the readings, based on the standing charge and the unit rates my final bill should be £47.02 quite simple to calculate but they keep demanding hundreds of pounds every time I call to resolve they tell me a different amount the total on my letters is different from the amount they tell me on the phone at one point they wanted over £600 I have spent probably around 6 hrs on the phone to them over around 7 or 8 phone calls and I’m still no closer, I raised complaints which they have told me have been wiped off the system as the complaint is resolved when it is clearly not. I think they are preying on people to get so fed up they just pay the amount they want. They have actually now got a debt collector to chase me for the money which I am now worried will effect my credit rating. I have read lots of bad reviews on other platforms and I’m not sure how this company is still aloud to keep trading.
Recommendation: Don’t use them

While they were quick to take my money, when it came time for them to make a payment to me, they held onto it for far too long. I have been with OVO Energy for a couple of years now and I must say, they are one of the best electricity suppliers I have come across. Despite my annual check for cheaper suppliers, I have stuck with OVO because they have always been cheaper and their service is top-notch. They even give me a discount for managing my account online, which is a great incentive for me.
What's more, they used to give me 3% interest if my account was in credit, which was a nice little bonus. However, the regulator OFGEM recently got involved and claimed that OVO had breached regulations by offering three customer discounts. I mean, come on OFGEM, why can't a company offer discounts that benefit the customer? It's not like they are doing anything wrong.
Anyway, despite this setback, OVO Energy has continued to provide me with excellent service. They keep me informed of any changes and updates, and their website is easy to use. I have never had any issues with their billing or customer service, which is a refreshing change from some of the horror stories I have heard from other energy suppliers.
Overall, I would highly recommend OVO Energy to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable electricity supplier. They are honest, transparent, and truly care about their customers. Keep up the good work, OVO Energy!
