After signing the paper work, it was instant regret. Currently, everything works, but the road was terrible, but also unresolved issues. Like they owe the sub contractor,$4500.00 they promised to pay, as part of the contract. They provided a document saying they owe me money for damaged equipment, poor installation and misinformation. It’s been 4 months, I keep hearing waiting on upper management to ok it. No one answers the main line, no response to emails or voicemails. All their other businesses point to the same line. Project coordinator quit and no one told us. I project managed the whole thing. It’s constant lies. Even in writing they turn around and say not true, even though you provide otherwise. Please don’t make the same mistake. Climax Solar and it’s owner ceo are not great at all

I have been dealing with this company since the beginning of the year. It has been one problem after another. From the price I was told I would pay and getting a surprise extra two grand put on to my final price. To the fact that I was promised $5100 reimbursement check “the day that the installation would be started”( I have text and video of the sales person stating that). My Internet cable was cut, along with a propane gas line while they were trenching my yard. My yard has 2-3 inch ruts all throughout it (1+ acre of damage) , and totally compressed/compacted my yard to where I will not be able to grow grass. When they came back out to fix the trench, they stated they had no idea about the other damage in my yard. I call BS. I have EVERY receipt, recordings, photos, VIDEOS and all. Just don’t waste your time with this company. NO ONE and I repeat NO ONE knows what the heck is going on. Every time I call about my reimbursement check they’ve stayed there waiting to get them sent out this month. It has been four months. I just spoke to someone(5/01/23) and now they’re saying they haven’t cut checks in a LONG time. They’re “waiting on the owners approval”. Another line they use is the “checks will be cut 30 days after system is running”. I guess we’re gonna have to wait and see on that one as well. I Spoke with a few lawyers, who stated the numbers are starting to stack up with the calls they’re getting. I have also been paying a bill for the last two months on equipment that has not been running. Just got the OK to start up last week after failing inspection smh. Anyone else who’s had poor service and would like to contact me feel free to. I would love to talk.

And for the response/reply that you guys do for these POOR reviews, just save it. It’s all lies and BS. I’ve spoken to your supposed accounting, front desk, multiple different complaint department, it gets nowhere! I have asked repeatedly to speak to someone who can provide a clear answer and I get nothing. I have even asked them to have the owner or highest management give me a call still nothing!

Contract was delivered the same day after installation was started. Price was over $10,000 more than was quoted. Panels are "supposed" to be a lifetime warranty. After looking up the manufacturer they are getting out of the solar panel industry in 2 years.

Mat and Sam from Climax Solar were out today to evaluate our property for potential solar energy production. Although we are not candidates for that Mat and Sam were very polite and total gentlemen. I really do appreciate their honesty.

Mr. H arrived on time he was very helpful in explaining my options. At this time the systems are a bit pricey and I do not qualify for the 26% Tax Credit as I am on a fixed income. I appreciate his honesty and the information he provided. If my situation changes I will be in touch with him . Thank You

was the sales person who came out he totally described the system we needed and explained all the details for us and disclosed all necessary details about the system they are going to install i was very impressed by his knowledge of it so very soon i will have an amazing solar system to save big time on electric bills

is awesome. At first, after we heard everything, we were super pumped and ready to go solar. But I didn't have good enough credit. But *** kept working on it. After 3 hours and several conversations with the bank, my wife and I finally were approved and now we just wait for installation. Will definitely recommend Climax Solar.

I had two guys come over to give me a quote at the start of a promotion. They promised $50 gift card to the store of my choosing for a visit. I did not receive the gift card and they continued to repeatedly call and text me after that offering the same deal even though they had already been out to my house. This is bad customer service!

What a scam. I constantly block these scammers and they text and call from another number. They always refer to me as ***, my name is not *** and I have told them this . I have written back to them to leave me alone, I'm not interested. They insist I have required information from them, (NO, I HAVE NOT). I 100% believe this is a money scam.

Mat came out today to go over all the details of going solar. He took hours answering all of our questions and then when our son came home he explained it all over again to him. Extremely well presented and patient with all of the questions we had. He went over everything and left nothing out. It was great. He is definitely the right person to help make the decision.

Chris Feltner was very professional, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with! He is a definite asset to Climax Solar. The installation staff installed the panels quickly and left our place nice and neat. Now we are just waiting on the inspection and connection and hopefully that will go just as smoothly! We will update this review after we are up and running! We are looking forward to hopefully saving lots of money!

Not sure how to rate this company. System was installed 4/8 and we still can't use it. I've made several calls but end up with lies and excuses of all kinds. It's almost November and we don't even have our back-up battery and our electric bills are still high. Would of been nice to have stored up the energy when we had plenty of sunshine. Now I'm afraid of a payment to Climax Solar and our electric company at the same time. I don't suggest anyone using this company!

The sales representative lied ,stating a twelve month fifth teen dollar per month loan repayment; also promised a $700.00 signing bonus and a cost quote of $23.000 which turned out to be $32.000. None of Steves promises were honored. When I contacted Climax Solar by phone I was passed around to five different people. Nothing was done to honor the sales representative sales pitch. My bank account was charged $115.00 monthly. No $700.00 check. I am a combat veteran who has been totally mistreated by thi company.

I requested a quote for solar installation and *** came over and priced out several different options for me. she was very patient and we finally found an option that works for me. *** is my project manager and the panels were ready to be installed quicker than I expected. The folks that came out to install showed up on time, were very friendly and left the area clear of debris. They are now installed and everything looks great. Long story short, everyone I have interacted with has been very helpful and professional.Now I am just waiting for the inspector so I can start saving.

Had 2 appointments with Climax Solar and solar specialist ***. On the 2nd appointment, my wife and I decided that we were going to go move forward with getting solar panels. *** was awesome at walking us through everything we needed to know and answering all of our questions. During the second meeting, *** had to reach out to *** with a question. Zak did an awesome job taking care of the issue in a very timely manner to get us back on track. *** and *** were a big reason as to why we choose Climax Solar for our solar needs, great costumer service! The BEST solar company in the business! I tell everyone to go to Climax Solar for their solar needs! Our representative who came to our home was able to put our mind at ease, answering all our questions, and making the switch going solar very smooth & fast! The staff still remained in touch with us every step of the way - even with some little bumps in the road. When it came time to getting our solar panels installed, the crew that came out was very fast, professional, and clean! They did not leave or make a mess and was done with our system in a few hours! Until our interconnect process was done the office staff still remained to keep us updated in where we at. We LOVE our solar panels and would not be saving A LOT of money with out Climax Solar! Thank you to the whole company for a job extremely done!

initially , the process of receiving information about solar and the process with Climax was excellent. The sales rep was amazing and gave me a comfort level that I wanted Solar. I signed my contract in mid May with an estimated install date late June. I did not hear anything from Climax so I called them early June. After leaving messages, the project manager called me and told me that she would have to referred my project to the *** office. No response from *** office so I called the home office last week of June. After several calls, I was told by customer service rep that the Vice President is unable to contact them. Climax Solar decided to use my original sales rep as my project manager. As of July 29th, I called to ask about the status of the project. I found out my project manager left the company. Climax has failed on every level to ensure my project will be completed. My situation should serve as a warning to anyone considering Climax as your solar company. I am stuck in this contract but if I can help others that will be my good deed.

When we spoke to the sales agent we specifically told her that we did not want to have to worry about when we lose power, and did not want to have to purchase a generator. She guaranteed us that we would not have to worry about when we lose power, as the system would handle it, and we would not need to purchase a generator. After hearing this we were sold on the system, with great relief and peace of mind.Only once the panels were installed did we find out we were only getting the solar panels and no back up batteries to reserve the power if power was lost.When I contacted them to verify this information, I was informed that our sales agent was fired for misleading customers to obtain sales.I made many calls and attempts to get this resolved. Once I was finally able to speak with the sales manager, he advised he would reach out to the business director to see what they would be able to do. It has been eight months and have not heard anything as to how we can resolve this. I would have appreciated a follow up call as to the solution, however not even that has been done. I am clearly not at fault for being given incorrect or misleading information by the sales agent. It is the company's obligation to stand behind their employees and make the situation right. While I do understand that it's an unfortunate situation all around, it was in fact a predatory practice made by the company and is unacceptable and needs an immediate resolution. It seems as though once the sale is over, regardless of how ethically it was done, that's where the customer support ends.

I signed a contract at the end if dec last year an was installed in Jan up an running in Feb first payment was made to sunlight financial in April since then I've stayed in good standing but an still owed 1500 from the rebate in my contact. Since I an paying interest on this loan I was putting it on the principal of the loan so not giving me my money is costing me interest plus you are collecting interest on my money sitting in your account. I would like you to honor your contract an send me the agreed on in are contract.

Signed contract 9/22; solar panels were installed in October. System is still not running and no one will return phone calls to let us know what's going on. We are so discussed with the lack of communication with Climax Solar. We want the solar panels removed from our roof! Remove panel and our roof had better not leak.

I have been trying to cancel my contract with climax for the past 3 days, but they will not return my calls or acknowledge that I wish to cancel. When they were here to give me a quote the sales person was very pressuring about signing the stuff on his computer. Also, *** has just announced they will no longer be making solar panels, which is why I would like out of the contract.

My install was started on 10/28. It was not completed. I was told they didn't have the right stuff to finish. I have called multiple times and never get a return call. I have cash coming back from this loan to pay off 2 of my bigger bills. I have had to borrow money for the last 2 months because this install is not completed. I wish to have this resolved and finish the installment. Thanks

My solar panels do not work . They are ignoring me. No return calls when messages left. They keep sending people out to fix it an nothing ever happens. If I don't keep calling them back constantly they would completely ignore the problem. I am paying my loan plus full electric bill. I even had to get the loan company involved. I am absolutely disappointed that a business could treat a paying customer this way. Shame on Solar Climax.

Signed a contract back in Feb 2021 for the instillation of solar power units. At a subsequent time someone showed up to examine the roof structure for roof support locations. The examination required the individual to cut hole in our ceiling to photograph the supports. Some 3 weeks ago we were contacted and had to sign another contract as the financing loan had expired and told that we should be contacted in a few day and that the ceiling would be fixed and the panels installed by mid August. Since then we have heard nothing from the company and there is still a hole in my ceiling.

Install not done when promised. Money promised upon install not given. Installed without permits May 12 signed contract with Climax solar and Clean.tech to install 20 panels within 6 to 8 weeks. Interest rate was to be 2.99 instead 5.29 so Salesman Aaron promised and put in writing $1500 upon install. I made calls to Climax in July and August about install. Was told that permits were holding up the process. Finally August 16 install occurred started by Climax. Two days later I called the local utility to find out about net metering Ang the City of *** permits to find out no permits were requested. So the solar has been on my roof since Aug. 26 now into October with no permits.

August 20th Paid Climax Solar $10,989.00 deposit. Salesman took pictures of meter box because meter box needs to be changed. Solar panels installed Oct.27,2021 meter box never changed. Oct 27 paid final payment of $10,989.00 Still no meter box changed.Called *** with no results. Called twice for my contract *** said she sent it. Called again for contract finally received it. Received contract Nov.16. Will start calling everyday till I receive all my money back or they complete their job and send a refund for the trouble we have been through. Just complete the job. This is bad reviews for this company. I will continue until my panels are connected and meter box changed. No more excuses!

My solar system was not installed as agreed to. They made promises about support and warranty's that are not true. The salesman lied about multiple items including saying that the panels were made in the USA but actually made in china. They were supposed to install a new wire from my detached garage to my meter on house but instead used my existing wire because they decided upon showing up for the install it would be easier than digging. Electrical components are mixed and matched with brands and the electrical contractor they used is not qualified or professional. I have at least one panel that is not working at all and the power output is less than half of what they told me it would be. The manufacturer of the panels (***) is no help as they say they no longer have anyone qualified in Michigan to service my system that is supposed to carry a 25 year warranty.

I am starting here reg Climax Solar's total unprofessionalism, false promises, and bad customer service. My concerns are coming that service like Solar Energy comes with a warranty of 25 years and this company just refuse to provide even proper service after they received the money. Here is how it's all unfolded & I am repenting for going through this company, genuinely want to make sure that they don't take others for a ride with false promises - Initial marketing visit gave false promises of savings, false promise of 15 months no payment (They offer 12 months and mentioned they will pay 3 months but haven't received yet), delay in installation for a long time & worst NO handover after installation. I still don't have if I am connected or not (Such a bad service)! No emails, no call & no clarification. After repeated follow up, I did get a call & Apology but again went cold. This is repeated few times so, I am worried about 25 years warranty so looking for a refund!

I purchased the solar system from Climax solar and it was installed in October . It was my understanding Climax Solar was to take care of the interconnection with DTE so my system would be up and running after installation, this did not occur until January . The agreement I entered with Climax Solar was to have the solar system financed so I would not have any payments for the first 12 months, over that time I was supposed to see cost savings on my electric bill. I have experience consistent issues with my system not functioning, unexplained power usage which has not resulted in cost savings and every time I reach out to the company I get told its being worked on or corrected but I continuously have the same issues with the batter losing connection and no follow up on behalf of the company. I am concerned I was given a defective system or that it was not correctly connected to the point it is functioning as it was sold to me. The company missed an appointment with me April 23rd

We were told that the solar panels and other equipment were going to get a 26% credit from the government. This is true, but we were led to believe that the whole would come in the first year as to lower our payments dramatically. We discovered this is not the case and it will take up to five years to receive the credits. We also tried to refinance our house and were repeatedly told that the lien is on the equipment, but when I contacted the county, they said the lien for the equipment was on the house. We would not have gone through with this if it were mentioned that there was going to be a lien on our home or the payment was going to remain high. Although this is not illegal, it is really unethical behavior from this company. All we want is for them to come and take their equipment back and not be charged for it. Unfortunately, even though there was false or misleading things said by their representative, taking a closer look at the contract we signed, it states that they are not responsible for these untruths said on the companies behalf. 7/1 Climax Solar installed 36 Solar Panels on the roof of my house. 7/21 I paid Climax the 49,000 they charged for the job as I had received a permit from *** Township. 8/2 *** informed me that they could not install the net meter required for the panels to operate, as Climax had NOT installed the Blade type breaker switch between the Solar panel and the *** Meter. I subsequently learned that such a breaker was detailed on the installation plan that Solar filed with *** prior to beginning the project. 9/2 I began calling Solar to find out when such breaker would be installed. I asked to speak to *** the owner. *** his secretary called back to say they had had to order a number of such breakers and had not received same as yet. 9/17 *** called to say that the breakers still had not arrived 9/29 *** called say the breakers arrived but she was not certain when they could get out to install them. 10/4 *** called and left a message about scheduling an install appt. 10/5 I returned her call and the date they had chosen was 10/9. I had a conflict and had to reschedule the conflicting appt, but was expecting the 10/9 install, which NEVER happened. 10/12 I called to schedule another appt, got no answer and left a message. 10/19 I wrote a negative google review on their website, asking *** to call me. 10/21 I left another message with no return call. Summary: Climax Solar had been paid in full for a $49,000 project that will not work without one Piece of equipment they agreed to install and now won't and won't talk to me.

I had a system installed and the sales person lied about the performance of the system and the correct size needed to work correctly. I stopped into the main office and spoke with the *** of the company and he said he would make it right. He said the system was built to small and it needed to be bigger. So sent a guy out to inspect it and move it to a ground mount adding more solar panels to make the system work as the sales guy said. They set a date to come out and move the system and add some panels so I sat all day waiting for them and no one showed up. Then they sent out a guy on 2/28/2022 to inspect the new site and he said no problem removing it off the barn and on the ground behind the barn. I March they where going to do the install and they never showed up. I visited the office and they said they where working on the quote after a *** another $5000.00 to make it right and they are not going to take any responsibility for it not being corrected. So they set up a new appointment 4/1/2022 in the morning to check the site and stake it out for the installation the next week for the installation on 4/8/2022. The guy showed up at 3:30pm and said they are going to take the system off the barn and put it next to my house when this was never discussed. So I showed the guy the area they they agreed to install it and he said thats not what I have for plans and cant install it there. So know Im paying for a system that is to small per the *** of the company said and a company that will not fix it. I hope no one has to go through what I have. Im 70 years old on a fixed income and had a salesman feed me lie after lie then the company *** has followed it up with lie after lie. Please let everyone know how bad this company is.
