Michaels Stores Foam core

I went to store #9432 Palm Harbor, Florida this morning and bought 2 sheets of foam core from the framing dept. I realized a little later I needed 1 more so went back. There was no one at the counter so I rang the bell. 3 times. I waited about 5 minutes before a teenage girl saw me and got someone to help. The woman she got said I would have to wait 20 minutes because the girl was at lunch. I asked if she could get them and she said she didn't know how to ring them up. I went to the from of the store and asked for a manager. Low and behold it was the woman who couldn't help me. Her name is Donna and she wouldn't give her last name. When I told her I was going to form a complaint, all of a sudden she could call the girl and ask how to do it. I'm a professional artist and an instructor at the Dunedin Fine Art Center. I've been asked to fill surveys from the store and I don't because I usually don't have anything good to say. Today was the last straw from many disappointing visits to that store. When I left I went to the Clearwater store 3715. I rang a bell at the desk and Samantha came out and helped me right away. She also asked if I wanted to pay there or at the front of the store. I guess everyone in that store knows how to ring it up! Store #9432 is frequently messy, empty spaces on the shelves and hard to get someones help. A total different atmosphere from store 3715. I told the manager in #9432 that the reason that store doesn't get professionals is because of people like her. I had decided to drive 35 minutes and go to Blick exclusively. But my experience in the Clearwater store will make me try it again.

Michaels Stores Protocol for tornado warning

I was at the Michaels during the tornado warning in Pasadena, Texas on January 24, 2023. I was in the back at the framing center when phones were going off with a tornado warning and to seek shelter. Right after the warning, the lights went out. The guy helping me said we need to get to the front of the store. All the employees were saying the same thing. When I was walking up to the front of the store. I looked out the window and saw how bad the wind was. I did not want to go to the front by the glass windows with a tornado outside. I hung back further and the young stayed with me but I wanted to be in between the rows to stay out of the way in case the windows blew in. he said I could not stay there. I eventually went up to the front and to the side.

There was another customer who said something to an employee, and then those two went to the back of the store. A few minutes later, one of the employees call the rest of them back there and they all were gone.
They eventually came back to the front. The hazard was gone and people were leaving the store.
My concern is that during a tornado warning everyone should be taken to a safer place, not to the front where they can be hit by glass if it breaks.
There was a lot of damage to buildings in that area, where we did have an active tornado.

Desired outcome: better protocols for tornado warning

Michaels Stores Corporate investigation

I was sent home under corporate investigation and suspended from my job at Michaels for vouchers that were being charged to my account that were made aware of to my manager. I was not using my number at the register for others. And I’m not sure how they were using my information . I was forced by the corporate investigator to sign that I was responsible for a portion of the loss of the money of the vouchers. I’ve been home for what feels like weeks now from work. Unsure what to do now. I can’t talk to anyone I worked with whole all this is going on. And my mom and I can’t even speak with the investigator. When I’m a disabled person in the workforce feeling as though I’ve been taken advantage of.

This order was placed in August of 2021. I was not given a promised delivery date due to Covid. But I have not heard from them since, and I'm not certain whom to contact. I Live in Carlisle, PA. 17013 and it is the Store in town. I prepaid over $700.00 for it, although I have since lost my paper order receipt. I would simply love any updated info they can provide.

I placed an order to be delivered same day. order total was for $68.38 after taxes and fees. I used a $60 gift card and paid the remainder with my debit card, and received 3 emails stating which items were cancelled/out of stock. the emails specifically state that the card would not be charged for those items. I know that it takes a few days for pending...

Michaels Stores Customer framing

I ordered a custom frames picture on November 25the 2022. It is now December 21st and I have NOT received my order. This was supposed to be a birthday gift for the first week of December, but I never received my order. I would like to at least give the framed picture as a Christmas gift, but customer service is no longer answering calls and is instead sending all inquiries to voicemail. This is absolutely unprofessional and unacceptable. Initially I was irritated by this inconvenience when the birthday gift I ordered never came. I am livid now that it is 4 days before Christmas, and I have not received my order, or a call back let me know about the status of my order. It was supposed to be a 10 turn-around. I have now waited 27 days! I always thought of Michael’s as a great company, but I no longer feel that way. I will be letting family, friends and co-workers know about this experience and will go elsewhere for my crafting/framing need in the future. So incredibly disappointed!

Desired outcome: I would Like the picture I ordered, and I'd like my money back!

Michaels Stores Someone hacked my account

On Dec 13th someone hacked into my account and using the bank number I had online ordered a tree. I noticed it in my checking acct. called Michael’s three times and was holding for 30 min. Asked to speak to a manager and placed again on hold by an Indian sounding man all three times. 41.67 was placed on my account but sent to address Highgate Dr. In Barre apt 27. I tried to stop the shipment but I kept being placed on hold. Case numbers [protected] and [protected]. Called my bank and the police in Essex Vt. This is Fraud and your online Accounts are not safe! Desired outcome: Credit my account the amount 42.67 and $50.00 more for my time holding to also save you money and grief. I will not order anything from Michael’s again.

Michaels Stores E-gift card

I purchased an e-card # [protected]. Although I was on Michaels Canada, the gift card is only redeemable in the US. I called customer service to see if there was any way to resolve this and was told that the card was valid and was put on hold for someone to deal with the issue. After about twenty five minutes the phone went dead. I called customer service again and was told that they had my information and transferred me to another number. I was asked for my name and e-mail address the person understood perfectly what I was asking, but suddenly said that they could not hear me adequately so I hung up. I called a third time and again was quite understood by the representative until I explained the issue and again I immediately was told that I could not be heard. I do not understand how I can be understood up and until the time that I voice my issue.

Desired outcome: Please refund

Michaels Stores Articles not given to customer

I wish these clerks would get on top of their responsibilities as a cashier and pay attention.

I spent $120.00 and got home to DC from Bowie missing items I purchased. Quite a long drive 18 miles each way. Called the store and of course they were there still in the bag. Asst. Manager stated they can only ship online orders.. well now there’s a manager on top his game. Helping the customer yes sir. What would make me think he would have anything else to offer. Never there again.

Michaels Stores Beads I ordered

Ordered two strands of beads. Paid for them and received an email two days later they had been picked up. I then went to the store and was told they were in fact picked up. The store apologized and gave me a refund back to my card, however, I never received the refund. It was for order MIK57153415.

Michaels Stores Cashier berating my 6 year old.

The shopping experience was fine, the employees stocking and wondering around were helpful. We got everything we needed and checking out. The older man working as a cashier starting making fun of my 6 year old for wearing a mask. He has made mask comments before and we usually avoided him but that wasn't possible this time. "Are you robbin the store?" My child responds with no "then why are you wearing a mask, you don't need one". I'm all for personal choice, if he chooses to not wear one that's perfectly fine in my book. Don't force your choice on to others, especially other people's children.

Michaels Stores Picture was stolen from your Brooklyn Store during the pandemic

Good Afternoon- Having a huge issue that has gone on for a long time situation with your Brooklyn store , someone stole my painting during the pandemic . Got the District mangaer to helo Oct 2 , 2022 and siad to send him invoice so they will pay me for my picture and frame . His name is Joe [protected] , I have called him texted him . Michaels Stores Order

order dated 11/28/22 7 items totalling 44.89

Recieved product 12/3/22

The order was in a bag not even packed. There were 6 items of chalk paint. I opened the bag in my kitchen and some of the paints were opened and I had a large mess. after 2 hours on the phone I was told from mgmt to send pictures and they would reorder and take 10.00 off. Well so far I see no new order and never responded to any of my follow up emails. My kitchen was a complete disaster. paint on my counter tops (brand new and on my beautiful ceramic floor. Dropped everything to do the clean up and rined bath towels to do it. So I did take pictures but not of the counter tops or floor. Was afraid if I waited I may of not gotten it off. I am so disgusted. I rarely deal with Michaels because I can neveer get thru or deliverys too long. I have so photos that I will be sending. Please whatever you can do. By the way, the customer service rep couldnt even understand me.. she has a hard time with English. Mgmt I could understand. The customer service rep (had 2 of them) thought it was kind of funny. I cant tell you how furious I am. Please whatever you can do to resolve this. I needed those paints yesterday. I was told they dont expedite to a higher shipping either. Hope to hear something soon! Desired outcome: I would like paints shipped vernight along with some type of resitution for all i had to go thru ,& what I lost. If you can not get these paints out asap I will have to order elsewhere I want a refund plus more mpney back. Thankyou.

Michaels Stores E-gift card not usable

I have two open tickets with customer support, and no resolution. I've tried chatting 5 times, calling and speaking with someone 3 times.

My e-gift card shows a balance of $90 confirmed by 3 agents. But I can't get the card to work for my online purchase. The agent was going to send me a new card number- but I have never seen that come through. I was told to wait 24-48 hours twice, and I have nothing. I'm incredibly frustrated.

Desired outcome: I want to be able to use MY $90 e-gift card to purchase an online only item.

Michaels Stores Tried to cancel order

I placed an order and right when I hit submit I noticed that it had shipping added. It was supposed to be free shipping. I called right away and tried to cancel the entire order and I was told I could not because it was still processing and that some items defaulted to store pickup. Customer service told me she could cancel it(even though it clearly states I can cancel it within an hour) I could cancel it as soon as I got a tracking number. Tracking came without ant way to cancel it then and so now I have an order to pick up at a store that I called within a few minutes to cancel. This is frustrating. I should be able to cancel the order within a reasonable length of time online without having to call.

Desired outcome: Cancel and refund order I can’t pickup at store and refund shipping on order I tried to cancel because of the shipping cost.

I go further to CEO after this form. Michaels Store in Fairlakes Sjp center in Fairfax, VA needs help. Finally got to the checkout line. The couple in front of me, was arguing with the clerk on discounts etc. I was next in line. None of the other clerks were behind registers. They were all looking pretty etc. Tried to get their automated checkout system...

Michaels Stores New system

So on November 14 th at about 6:30 pm I went to Michael’s and once again I had a bad experience. I own my own jewelry company and this hurts me more than you but I won’t be returning to Michael’s again. It was in Ocoee Florida off of west colonial drive. I bought quite a few items and when I went to check out I noticed you have self check out. Now I haven’t been to Michael’s in a while because of the last incident so I didn’t know what to expect. I ran up about $100 with of stuff. I had a paint can so I needed to provide I.D. Fair enough. The lady comes over and I h e to explain to her twice what’s going on. She then tells me to go to a register. Then she says “ give me your stuff” lol. Not “ hey I’m sorry but we have to rearing these or can I help you with these”. Nothing. Like I was in inconveniencing her! I don’t know what type of system you have but why she couldn’t just swipe or put a number in on the original self check out is beyond me. I get that things happen but this lady was awful. A personality of a wet mop.

Desired outcome: It doesn’t matter. I don’t see you guys lasting long with the options out there.

Michaels Stores pickup order never fulfilled

I made an online order for pickup. I have been waiting two days and have heard nothing. All it says on the website when I put in my order number is that it has been received. Normally a store pickup is same or next day.I tried chatting with customer service, they stopped responding. I finally got through to someone on the phone who continued to interpret me and she finally let me know that my order was cancelled, she didn't know why, and there is no system in place to make customers aware of a canceled order. So I would have NEVER known what happened. The representative would not transfer me to a manager/supervisor to speak to someone about this. The charges are still pending on my credit card. Never going to shop here again.

Michaels Stores LGBTQ+ discriminations at the Canton Store - Willow Creek Shopping Center, MI

While shopping for paint for a project, a customer approached my adult child who is transgendered and started screaming things at them calling them a predator and pedophile. She then went to get store employees. My kid was minding their own business, never interacted with anyone and was just shopping. Store employees kept referring to them as Sir (they was wearing a long skirt and identifies as she or they) The employees also told them that if "he" was wearing men's clothing then "he" wouldn't have this happened and "he" needs to leave the store. They were forced to leave the store. While this was going on, they were being harrased and video taped and followed out the store.

You say you are inclusive and diversity especially with LGBTQ+. However you have employees who discriminate against transgendered individuals. Kick them out of the store for just being there and shopping. They never interacted with the crazy lady and was very respectful to the employees. Being descriminated and being called sir, telling them bascially it's their fault it is happening and being kicked out for wearing female clothing (that was respectful, skirt down to their ankles, nothing form fitting or anything). Instead of telling the woman who is screaming and causing a scene, video tapping, using slurrs against LGBTQ, to calm down or leave. My kid was humiliated, embarrased and didn't feel safe. The attack and the employees behaviors were something we expect from Hobby Lobby. We trusted your brand saying you support LGBTQ+ instead you showed us that your employees descriminate instead. I will let the Pride groups know in our area the treatment we recieved from your store. Train your employees and do better. We have done so much business in your stores but being felt like we were in a witch hunt and treated so bad, we will no longer. My kid doesn't feel safe in your store. I don't feel welcome or safe either.

Desired outcome: Train your employees better, We would like an apologie. It isn't really fixable since safety is an issue.
