Your security software
My complaint is that you took money for the renewal of my subscription without my consent and one month earlier than necessary. The subscription was valid until 23rd November
One part of the subscription is for VPN which never seems to work and is always switching itself off. This is naturally making me unhappy.
I find it odd that I have had a message to say my submission is too short, there is nothing wrong with brevity something I have learned from studying law
Desired outcome: I would like you to stop taking my money automatically and suggest how VPN can be fixed.if you would like to compensate me that would be marvellous, which might be a discount for the future.
Refund - not credited my account after 13 days!

On the 13/10/2022 £62.99 was debited from my card. I immediately requested a refund which you confirmed by email the same night.
It has yet to credit my account - your end is saying you have done it but I have today been INTO THE BANK who have confirmed that it went out, but NOTHING has come back into that account for the £62.99.
I gave them both the order ID: CS3124407840 and
Payment id: CS53124363803 Neither could be found. You have not credited our card/account...?
I have rung numerous times and keep being promised a call back from the processing team or someone higher and nobody has.
Also, every time I ring I get an email addressed to Clement Afide saying your profile is updated? Who is this and why are they using my email address you are a security company! It looks to me you have credited the payment in the incorrect name, but nobody is admitting error. How can someone with a different name be associated with my email address? Please put this to the fraud team.
So, I have a security (fraud issue) and you owe me £62.99 - I want to make an official complaint as this is not going away, I'm taking it all the way.
You need to look at the exact refund transactions - account details and WHO it was named to.
I would like a response and a refund within 48 hours before this escalates further. I have been more than patient.

I have contacted McAfee three times trying to get an account cancelled. It should have been cancelled August 2022 and the account is still active until August 2023. I just completed several conversations today, 10-24-22 talking to their customer service again and they keep telling me I have an active account and they pretend to not understand that I want to cancel the account. I don't need a reason to cancel, I just want it done. After two days going thru the motions on their website then ending up in a chat call (to no avail) and then being supplied with a phone # to call = still got nowhere. I do not want to have to pay for McAfee security for the rest of my life! Can you help me.
Desired outcome: I would like to get my account cancelled and for them to get penalized by the Bureau for horrible service.
Virus Protection
I have twice tried to get a satisfactory answer to my concern about a possible scam. On the first attempt to report a scam email I misheard the complaint address and my email was not delivered. While on the phone for the second time, I received an email from McAfee that my issue had been resolved. After that I sent second email to [protected]@mcafee.com. Complaint is that my concern was taken much too lightly and, in effect, brushed off before any remedial action was taken. Below is a copy of the email I sent which was "resolved" before I sent it.

I paid for McAfee Total Protection 10 devices. On the box it clearly states PC Optimization included. I downloaded McAfee and PC optimization does not show. I called McAfee and every person including the Supervisor all from foreign Countries all told me that it is not included in my Subscription. I told all of them that it clearly states on the box that it is included and I can send them pictures. They stated to me that they do not have access for me to send them pictures. None of them will help me. I paid for a service that I am not getting. I am seeking lawyers to start a class action suit if I do not get it resolved. I am also making a complaint with my State Lawmaker.
Desired outcome: I paid for the full package McAfee Total Protection with PC optimization included. Since it is already passed 4 months. I should get it for 1 year as stated on the box. I should have a full free renewal with Total Protection included.

Antivirus software
An unauthorized payment was taken from my bank account on 20 September using my debit card. My bank account is in the UK but the payment was made in euros and was made to the US McAfee company. I have no subscriptions to any McAfee products.
I have attempted to request a refund from the McAfee site, however I am unable to contact the company by phone (I am outside the US) and all the links to submit claims online are broken or circular.

when i was trying to copy video files with an extension of .vba, my total hard disk and pen drive has been written with, for example "[protected].vba" with 2 kb serially numbered around 88 files in each and every sub-directory of my computer and pendrive. Installed google chrome, Then installed google chat , and was fine when i wasn't using it much. But as soon as i started having chats with friends on a regular bases i got pop up adds for your company, and vires warnings. And says my account with your company has expired. It has been 8 years since i have had an thing to do with your company. My system doesn't have anything on it unless i use your program to scan for it so. If the harassment continues I'm getting a lawyer to sue for as much money as i feel necessary to get your attention. As well as call the U.S. Attorney genral About your business practices. No threat It's a promise .

auto renewal
I turned off auto renewal, but they charged my credit card anyway. I reached out and they told me I had more than one account and someone would get back to me in 2 hours. I waited 4 days, reached out again and got no resolve. I reached out again and they said I was out of the refund window, even though I had reached out several times before and you cannot get a hold of anyone. They spend about an hour on the phone and said they would escalate it and someone would get back to me. I has been days and no contact.

We are retirees living on limited income and we use to subscribe to a McAfee Anti-virus program for our computers and the confident that their advertisement and reputation to protect our online activities to pay bills online. I did an online McAfee subscription and gave my personal bank account. McAfee renew my subscription the following year and didn't know about it till the bank statement came in and the reason why I did not renew the services this year for antivirus subscription but they still send advertisement to my e-mail. Yesterday charges were made for a total of 6 charges of $116.70 that total to $700.20 listed to McAfee from our bank account statement. We call the McAfee customers service with our charges that were made by McAfee and have no knowledge of the charges. McAfee is in the antivirus business to protect their company from abuse from scammer to steal our identity and our money from our account that we are now traumatize that our personal information has been compromise and unprotected. As of today after the contact with McAfee about the charges I receive an e-mail from them to renew our subscription and afraid to open any e-mail from them.

My Mcafee account was auto renewed
in April 2022 and my bank account was debited by £89.99. I was not expecting this, but accepted it must have been in T&C's.
When trying to access my account on Android it says I do not have account and am on 148 day trial which has now
elapsed and Mcafee are requesting I open account for around half the cost that I have already paid.
It is impossible to contact their customer services to get any answers.
I want a refund of the auto renewal payment and also wish to Cancel the auto renewal for future.
