McAfee Subscription

I signed up for the free trial they had going on. That I would not be charged at this time. Then I noticed they did take a payment out of my checking account the next day. They asked for my information at a later time. I noticed they took out $20.88. I tried to reach them on the phone and placed them on hold. Then the next time I called them they said the money would be placed back in my account in 2 days. Still looking for it Anne Bourg I would like a full refund of $20.88

dont feel bad. McAfee got me creating a security problem that caused my year old $550 desk top to require a bitkey in order to resume use of it. hp told me theres nothing they can do to retrieve the bitkey. i was reimbursed the entire Software & Optimizer cost back to my C.C. ****i am still out $550 for the cost of my hp Desk Top. All this was done by me at the verbal request of the employee who said it was not necessary to take control of my pc. He also asked me the type & model number of my hp desktop. All this happened only by removing the Antivirus Software then reapplying it, thus creating a securit breecg requiring BITKET application in order to open pc. HP already told me theres no way to retrieve the bitkey, regardless of receipts, email & so on. McAfee stated "all u need is the email"...McAfee is a bunch of THIEVES, who hire CROOKS who take it upon themselves to create problems like this. Everything WAS RECORDED so no problem will exist showing exactly what i am saying. I am a senior citizen, living on limited incomb & disabled. This hp desktop has no removable harddrive.

McAfee Annoying, fake warnings on my computer and non stop debits to my account

The only reason you bothered me during work with your computer warnings and all the annoying pop-ups is because my subscription is due. Instead of the standard email or a pop-up every now and again. You disrupt the work flow for hours and try to hit my banking account for almost $200 several times. Pretty sure it was about 6-8 times within minutes of each other. Bad, bad, business practice.

Desired outcome: Pay me for the pain and suffering that you put me through today. Ridiculous!!!

McAfee Service

MacAfee virus protector keep harassing my device to purchase the product. For weeks I keep declining the product, I complain last week and I am having the same issue. Each time I try to use my device, MacAfee blocks my task and I have to go through the whole process of clearing it. This happens at least 20 times over a one hour period. Can you have them stop harassing me, please I am begging you, I am not able to finish my school work because of the constant pop ups.

9 September 2023: 11:44 AM:

Cannot find a live chat, used the phone number, they kept me on hold for 30 minutes then it clicked on, all music stopped, no voice. Just silence while it kept me connected. Finally had to hang up. There is no one you can talk to, though it says 24/7 for my area [Canada]. Just a long wait for nothing.

Charged a horrific amount for automatic renewal - far over what I can find online on my own - charged $180 CDN, excessive. Would never have renewed at this price. It is a month before my subscription is up and I can't get hold of anyone to stop renewal before the date? Terrible customer service.

Desired outcome: There needs to be a live chat that is accessible or more people answering the phones. Or possibly an email chat set up where you can enter your account information when logged in and send a message.

Hello,

My name is Dessie Kaloyanov. I was unproperly charged for Mcfee product, which I didn't want, did not authorize, and I don't have this product, as antivirus program on my computer. They charged me for $158.99, a month ago. Since then, I am trying to get my refund. But they didn't assist, as a customer service and don't want to refund my money.

Please, help me with that.

Here I am attaching the prt sc and file, in which is clearly seen that the sum was taken from my bank account. I called many times on the provided phone number, and McAfee customer service, talked with me, but they didn't do anything, to refund my money. I made a dispute via my bank - US bank. Th e bank contacted Mcafee and found that the money was taken by Mcafee. Still, I do not have my money back.

Desired outcome: I would like my money back as soon as possible, and please protect other people of this horrible company.

Hi, I would like to file a complaint against customer service of McAfee. They didn't help me with a resolving for a problem, connected with subscription. I have never wanted to renew my subscription, but they took my money, without my permission: $158.99. And they do not want to refund this sum. And on the top of that, I do not have any subscription. So, they clearly STOLE my money. I was robbed. This is a crime.

McAfee Requesting cancellation and refund with McAfee

I purchased a 1x year subscription with the purchase of my laptop in South Africa.

When my subscription expired in August 2023, I purchase a subscription online and afterwards realized it was far too costly, and immediately started the cancellation and refund process. The online process does not allow me to complete and submit and when I finally managed to contact support service they tried to offer me a subscription until 2025 but would not assist with a refund. I am now unable to contact support online or telephonically and have received a second email notifying me that the case is closed. see attached.

I have also deleted all McAfee products from my laptop.

McAfee Refund of McAfee Total Protection 5 devices

Hello, I bought this product on June 1 2023. I have had so many problems with this product. When I asked to have my issues resolved, they could not help me.

As they were having technical issues themselves. They would notify me in a few via email. All I got issued resolved. I talked to them on the phone and on chat.

I decided to give benefit of the doubt. I still have issues.

My issues were signing in. Getting codes so I can navigate around the site. As I got messages, saying my "info was on the dark web". I try to see what info as it was. To get that issue needed a code! Which I could not get. When I talked they just change your password!

As it is past the 30 days, I cannot get a refund. I want a refund, as I cannot do anything with McAfee, at all.

McAfee McAfee Premium Plus for Windows and Android mobile

Just filed a complaint and was LOST because your passwords are NOT working so nothing received.

Have spent many months reporting McAfee issues re; link to android mobile; VPN drop outs; various interference with other software; requests to upgrade when already current subscription, etc. Much worse on Android where keep being asked to "check VPN/upgrade to Premium when already fact!" Done via Chat and in lengthy telephone calls to Techies who state their frustration that 'Developers/Marketeers' continue these unacceptable unresolved issues though Users keep reporting them!

Can no longer waste my time and efforts with such poor User support and resolution so have uninstalled McAfee from my computer and mobile phone. Agents now chasing for further calls and case number (many before) 1-[protected]. Emails to McAfee bounce; password notification does not work today either so effectively just blocking Users!

Desired outcome: Refund of half my annual subscription to date - current until late November 2023

I have cancelled my subscription, I never updated payment details yet some how McAfee gained access to my account and stole $129.95 for Inv: CS3321756687. I can't contact them have tried online service unfortunately their robot can't understand what I want. Cannot afford to put money on mobile to call McAfee as they emptied my bank account. Cannot get any help.

why do you persist in sending me reminders about renewal when i have told yiou contless times that i have another account with Macafee. I do not want them so stop sending them

at lest two e-mails a day

i have a different contract running as well as this discontinued one but you do not send me e-mails in praise or recognition. S why bother to send me messages that i ignore except that it is becoming too much.

What part of "do not send me any more e-mails on this subject" don't you understand.

McAfee No active McAfee product, but charged a price I cannot afford

On 2023/07/29 I was charged $149.49 (that's almost R3000 - half of what I have left in my bank account as I am unemployed).

I do not even have an active McAfee antivirus on any of my devices!?

"Your trial ended 145 days ago - buy now" is the message I get on the home screen of McAfee on my Asus laptop.

Why or how was I charged for a service I don't even have?

McAfee has the crappiest customer service I've ever experienced (and I live in South Africa - the country of bad services, so that's saying something!)

With half of my money gone, I can't afford to pay my bills and will most likely get bad credit.

I feel robbed and beyond angered at this unauthorised amount deducted.

Desired outcome: I want to be refunded asap.

In a panic I have paid £79.99 Order No PL3296442602 unnecessarily. PLEASE REFUND THIS AMOUNT ASAP and contact my email to confirm

I was subjected to extremely vigorous pressure tactics over 24/48 hours. These consisted of noisy, repetitive exhortations to renew, as my "computer may be at risk." The right side of my computer screen was obscured so that I could not access Facebook etc. I condemn these aggressive tactics, but where do I complain?

The REAL McAfee will not ever contact you to tell you that your computer may have be at risk because.

There is no way that McAfee would or could

knows anything about your computer

being at any risk.

McAfee will only contact you via email to let you know your subscription is expiring soon and let you know to renew.

McAfee will never ever

• Call you

• Text you

• Email you

about an urgent or non-urgent computer threat.

McAfee will never ever

• Call you

• Text you

about renewing your subscription, or about

getting a subscription.

If you will check the phone number the email listed for you to call, then run the number online - I bet you find out the number you called IS NOT TO McAfee.

McAfee internet protection

I filed a complaint with the FTC about there fraud.They kept saying that my protection was expired and they kept charging me for it and they did not provide any solution to the problem.My protection was 8/82022 until 8/8/2023.I renewed again the protection was supposed to run 08/8/2023 to 08/8/2024 and they still say it has expired.I contacted them 3 times and they done nothing.

Desired outcome: I want a refund of $64.94

It sounds like you were scammed but no by the real McAfee. Did you by chance receive an email, text or phone call from McAfee telling you it was urgent that you renew because your computer is at risk?

If your answer is “YES” to any of the above, you’ve been scammed. These scammers misrepresent themselves as being McAfee, Amazon, Netflix, Geek Squad, ACE Hardware, Microsoft, etc.

Please go to YouTube and do a search on “Scammer Payback”. Perogi is the guy that goes after these scammers and works with the authorities to get the arrested.

Watch one of Perogi’s video post where he calls these scammers. You will laugh, get angry and know you aren’t alone.

McAfee Virus protection

I noticed that I now cannot use my computer that is in my den because of all of the notifications from McAffee telling me "my payment has been declined" and needs to be updated or retried again. It is driving me nuts because I want to be able to use my computer since I am back in school. I don't need this hassle from McAffee. I never had this problem with Norton.

I suppose that I will have to go back to Norton as they seem to take care of their customers far better than this company does. This problem is making my blood boil and is putting me under more stress than is needed; stress is what triggers my migraines and epileptic seizures. I don't need either of those.

Desired outcome: I would like McAffee to be removed from my computer. I am trying to remember my login and password so that I can do that. I will not pay $203/28 since I live on my Social Security Disability witch is a fixed income.

McAfee Malware service

There was a Matt Simon from Qikbay Mcafee Tech [protected] ID#973 that was suppose to get me service after computer was Compromised and he stated that Mcafee uses an outside vendor called JINGRAM LLC in San Mento Cal.

After hours with this deplorable person I stated that I'm no longer interested after I saw him reading my emails. I told him not get out of my account and and bank account. The check would not go through. Today I notice from my bank that JINGRAM LLC deposited my check for $379.00.

Mcafee is suppose to prevent scammers from using their information so I'm guessing Mcafee is not sufficient with tracking their own scammers. I would not use them. Looking for my refund and this has been reported to the US Marshalls.

Also every person you speak with is in India. These companies need to stay in the USA at least you don't have to repeat yourself 50 million times.

I purchased one McAfee Total Protection on the 09/04/2023 for the price of 119.95 euros for two years (validity until 06/05/2025) and I paied it on the 11/04/2023 by direct way to my bank account (Factura [protected], encomenda CS3249693597)

On the 12/04/2023 I was charged on the same bank account with a payment of 129.95 euros for the same service, and so I ask to be reinboursed of this ammount since I do not pay double time for the same service.

McAfee Rude customer service and unauthorized credit card charges

I called McAfee customer service to discuss why I was charged $128 when last year I only paid $30. I got connected to a very very rude individual (if someone actually gets back to me I have their name but I will not post it here for respect for their privacy even though they do not deserve it for how rude they were) who would barely let me get a word in our conversation. When I signed up for this service last year, the description came across as I would only have this for one year for $30, so I signed up for it. I was confused on why I was charged $130. He kept yelling at me that I was in contract until 2028 and that the price each year was just going to go up unless I switched to a different contract for $180 and that that was the only way to get my $128 back. When I told him that I did not have $180 and that the money they took was for my car insurance, he became completely rude. He yelled at me several times "then call back I am not helping you this is over" and made me burst out into tears. I was trying to explain to him that I was pretty sure I only signed up for one year, but he was just so rude and would not let me talk. He also was extremely mean when I asked questions for clarification. This has been an absolutely awful experience and I do not want to have anything more to do with this company and their services.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response and a refund and I would like to cancel my service. This has, again, been an absolutely awful experience and I do not want to have anything more to do with this company and their services.

McAfee Being charged for anti-virus on an auto-renewal with no device being covered. Ref: 1-[protected]

Protection was bought in 2017 after a period of free trial for our home computer. There was no advise given to add devices to be covered after this purchase.

Since then, payment was taken from my account every January with the believe my device was covered.

I called in on the 29/05/2023 to locate the account and find out how many devices I can use the cover for? It then became obvious that first I was being charged to cover 50 devices and that there was no device associated with this product on auto renewal.

I was told that they can't refund my money since 2018 on the above date and that a manager would be in contact within 48 hours. I called back on the 31/05/2023 and was told a supervisor would call me within an hour. On these two occasions no call back.

02/06/2023 I called back was told no supervisor is available to speak to me as they were on other calls. I should wait and they will call me back. I insisted on staying on the line to wait for a supervisor. I was connected to Camille Blancaflor would want to refund 2023's charge which I said no to and asked that our conversation be put in an email to me, she threatened to end the call as I refused the refund and a call back from her manager. I explained to her that I have been waiting since Monday for a manger to call me back and that her refunding only 2023 makes it seem that the issue is resolved.

She quickly refunded £99.99 to me against my will/agreement.

Desired outcome: I would like to request a refund of the subscription paid on auto renewal since 2018 till date, as no devices was being covered.

McAfee Order number AKGQ573

Received email 5/30/23 stating I had authorized renewal for 5 years for $425.00 and amount dbited will reflect under your checking account per ACH transfer within 1 business day. Letter goes on to say "you can simply rech our customer support..." I tried that route and reached someone who refused to listen to what I was trying to say to cancel that I had NOT "placed an order" for this service. I advised him the home address was incorrect and in fact I had not lived there for well over 10 years. I told him I have a new computer that does NOT have any McAfee on it. He asked why I did not want to renew and I told him I just did not like McAfee in the least. He then said he had to send me an email to cancel. I got it but he sent the wrong one...then he resent again. This time it required a number which HE provided. He then said I needed to download the info to verify that I did not have anything on my computer. I told him I was not going to do so and requested a supervisor. I had to do this for at least 5 min as he was arguing with me and saying I was basically not computer literate. He finally connected me with "someone else" who sounded exactly the same. He started in with the exact same info. I advised him that a refund needed to be sent immediately if any funds were taken from any account. If not I will file a letter with the FTC over McAfee. As soon as I finish this email, I will be emailing the Federal Trade Commission as well as the Better Business Burear.

Desired outcome: Please refund IMMEDIATELY if any funds have been withdrawn. Request an email with information regarding the cancellation, refund, from what bank that you do business & exactly when said funds will once again be in my account.
