I received an email from Chris Lichtenberger , this week on 8/21/23, stating that my Silver Sneakers membership with Lifetime Fitness in Romeoville IL, was going to have limited hours/days starting 1/1/24. I am very disappointed with this, this is age discrimination. I have been a customer of Lifetime for over 10 years before I retired 8/1/23. See email below.

Dear Carol,
As your Medicare Fitness Program Administrator may have shared with you, I am pleased to confirm that we have renewed agreements so members on eligible Medicare plans may continue accessing Life Time clubs as of January 1, 2024.
The new agreements were established based on the rate your provider is paying on your behalf and includes revised club access hours effective January 1, 2024:
Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Saturday: 2:00 p.m. to close.
Sunday: all open hours.
Note: Members will have continued access to all ARORA Aqua classes at any time with a reservation and club arrival within 30 minutes of the class start time.
As this new agreement may impact current routines for some members, we are taking the following steps to continue providing you with great experiences:
Ensuring access to a wide variety of ARORA classes scheduled during the revised club access times.
Hosting ARORA social events, workshops and coffee club during the revised club access times.
If you prefer, our Signature upgrade option will provide you with unlimited access to the club during all open hours, along with other benefits such as Unlimited Small Group Training and more. If you would like to upgrade your current membership to Signature for an additional monthly fee, please feel free to speak with our Member Concierge team at the club.
Regardless of which option you choose, we are pleased to continue providing you with substantial value as compared with regular membership rates at the club. As always, thank you for choosing to be a Life Time member.
