As another recently posted, I also have received a letter from Lifetime that my time allowed to use the facility will be drastically reduced come 1.1.2024. I have been a loyal club member since 2007. I usually workout several times a week, with a Lifetime personal trainer once a week, and 98% of my normal workout times will be blocked. It seems to me, that there was no or little consideration when deciding on these use limitations that many seniors on Medicare still work regular daytime jobs as I do. I will only be allowed to access the club M-F 9:30am -3:00pm, only 5-1/2 hours out of the 20 hours the club is open 4am - 12am. On Saturdays only after 2pm which is only 8 hours out of the 18 hours the club is open. It was explained to me by Chris Lichtenberger, Lifetime Vise President of Business Development, " The hours restrictions may not make sense in certain clubs, who have slow times during certain segments. Some of our clubs are already experiencing capacity issues. But this decision was made based on what we know is coming in 2024. The amount of Medicare members is going to double, and it may double again the year after that. An empty parking this year may well be a full one next year." Since membership dues have almost doubled in the past few years and club hours have remained less than the open 24 hours pre COVID, their business plan must be to reduce the amount of seniors on medicare to make room for the full pay memberships. I can think of several other alternatives than to push out the loyal seniors who helped grow Lifetime.

Desired outcome: Reversal of decision
