Been active for many years and purchase many items. Went to post an ad today, to sell item, and was informed I had to contact Customer Service as something went wrong. I did contact through on-line chat and all I got back was that my account has been disabled. No reason and chat was ended. I tried again to ask why, through on-line chat, and received nothing back. Tried several times. So I do not know when, or why, my long term account has been disabled.

I was blocked from posting an add with no explanation. We are a small brand based in the usa that just picked up distribution in Canada, we were trying to. post an add to show growing families our products and how good it is and their savings.

Here is what I was told by their support, no explanation, just blocked.

I verified and your account was disabled due to a severe breach of our Policies. Unfortunately after review, we won't be able to reinstate your ad or account access.

Their communication to me..

"Kijiji reserves the right to remove content and disable accounts where we have grounds for suspecting the violation of our terms and policies."

I believe kijji should be investigated for discrimination. I believe if they are unfairly placing judgment on a person or company with due course and process they should not be allowed to have a community service with claims they are helping the people of the community.

I can provide a copy of my add to show I didn't violate the policies.

I recently put up an ad looking to buy broken GoPro cameras for repair self-teaching. I also thought it'd be good to post the ad to Toronto n Montreal as well as Ottawa, since they are larger cities with many more GoPro ads active. so I pinged help desk to ask how. I received no reply, and now, after figuring out how to post to other cities, I see that any attempt I make to post an ad within Ottawa or otherwise is immediately removed. It's not unreasonable to post a want ad outside of ones' own city, to increase my chances. It also must not be against policy, since I see copied ads every day on Kijiji, linking to several cities. Unless that is only allowed to business sellers, there is no reason to block my ad, and I want the blocking to stop

I posted a Montreal Expos game-worn jersey (McGaffigan) for sale on September 26th, 2022. A buyer (can provide name, address and cell number) agreed to purchase the jersey on September 29th, 2022. I accepted his offer,

"Hey steven, yes of course i will start with the mcgaffigan plus the cap at 750 and will take the roof/capra next cause if not i ll eat kraft dîner for awhile...lol is that okay with you?"

packaged his jersey in a Canada Post box, and waited for him to transfer the funds. After not receiving any messages in return (ghosted), I sent several polite messages and phone calls asking for payment. Unbelievably, this buyer hasn't paid nor responded. Due to his actions, I have lost two potential buyers and the expense of a Canada Post box ($25.00).

We had agreed to sell/purchase a kayak for $375 from the $500 listing. Seller was to email me for pick up arrangement on Tuesday after Labour Day. However I received an email on Sunday advising that he had sold it to someone else for the asking price.

I think this contrary to the spirit of Kijiji buy and sell.

I contacted Okotoks Mobile Mechanic on his ad. He was going to change a fuel pump on one car of mine and do the brakes on another. I paid him $100 assessment on the car with the fuel pump. Then he told me the brakes was going to be 716.65.

He rescheduled the brake job 9 times. I finally asked him to send me my money back and he is now ghosting me. I have gone to the police and will be filing a civil lawsuit. On one of these occasions he said that he was on his way and then hours later his "wife" texted on his phone saying that he was in a motorcycle accident - but he told me he would be over because he had the parts in his truck.

His number is [protected]. There isn't enough room to go over all the text messages I have with him, but I sent him money on August 5, 2022 to do brakes and he has had excuses (9 cancels or no shows) from August 5, 2022 to August 22, 2022.

It’s not that complicated……..!

2 On June 30th I agreed to have her mail the item for a total of $35:00 ,

which she received via e transfer on that day

3 She promised to mail the item on July the 4th ( At 5:41 July 4th she stated that she mailed the item ) Check email !

4 On July 20th she claimed she had Covid and that’s why she never mailed the item ! !

5 I informed her that she had a month to mail it and that she didn’t ! I asked her for my money back to be put back in my account that day on Friday the 29th at 6:40 pm

I have not received the item or my money refunded ! ! !

A got a call yesterday from a guy who called himself Phil and he said his girlfriend was Jen. He answered the same phone number she had at [protected]. He asked me to meet him at 64 Winston Blvd . I went there and there was no 64 but he asked that I meet him at the church near which was I think 66.

He arriived with two computers and said he would see both for $100. I thought it was a good deal and I agreed to the deal. I gave him the $100. He said that he just needed to take his information off the computer and he left. I trusted him as he seemed very nice and honest.

He didn't return so I phoned and his phone has the answering that it was no longer in service. So I texted him and it seemed to go thu.

I know he scammed me but I don't know if he was using Jen's ad without her approval.

She seemed very slow to answer email and 'Phil' said she was having troubld with her phone.

'Phil' was very smooth and I fell for his scam. I am a senior citizen of 74 and I was too trusting. I wasn't too sharp as just the day before I learnned my wife had a heart attack. So I wasn't in sharp form.

the one chorme I got works but it does not have windows 10 which he said it did. It is probably worth $20.00. So I got scammed for $80.00.

Kijiji is in no way blamed for this scam. I always get good service with KIJIJI.

I posted on Kijiji 3 days ago my add time was not up in the least bit I would like my refund or a free add it was an updated add for two adult dogs regardless I still paid Kijiji now to me this is fraud and I did not delete it I do not have the money to put back on I give you guys lots of money per month not to be robbed and fraudulently deleted Friday April the 29th updated on the 27th of april 2022 this add was for two dogs for rehoming it started with puppies as I sell puppies and it is not optional for you to choose what I’m aloud to do with my add

I have a dog breeding business. I am a registered breeder. I use kijiji to sell my puppies. In their policy it states that you cannot sell more than 3 dog breeds. I've had mixed breeds over the years (as has most on kijiji). But one evening they took my ads down. They sent me a brief message saying I posted against their policies. So when looking to resolve this, I tried to find a way to contact them. The only way to contact anyone, is through live chat or email. I wanted to ask if their was a way to resolve this (a fee, or penalty) but they told me why again and this time they ended the conversation with "you've been banned", and left the chat so quickly I wasn't able to offer up any kind of explanation or ask if there was a way someone else could then post on KY behalf. So then I thought I would ask a friend to post, they took money from my friends credit card and then removed her ad without even Amy explanation at all. I'm not a computer genius but it would seem they are monitoring my every thought! My beautiful puppies are in need of a home and there is no way to rehome them now. I wish kijiji could offer up solutions to resolve these situations as I'm not the only one who has had their ad removed. I've paid kijiji alot of money in the past to post my ads. I feel like this is a small infraction on my part and should be able to be forgiven. I can't seem to find any legal help but am severely frustrated and I won't just be quiet. I need kijij to work this out with me, my kids rely on my income to put food on our table.

On Jan 16 He responded to my add "On water furnished basement suite w bathroom-female roommate". I do not want him to follow my posts or have anything to do with. Thank you.

Kijiji deleted my ad on Mar 8th/22 and I had to email 5 times to get a reply but on the other hand, they allowed the other ads to be posted without RMT mentioned.

If it's not mentioned, it's understood it's not RMT and clients would verify that when booking the appointment. Most RMT do accept cash, how would Kijiji monitor if they are providing receipts or not.

When questioned Rebecca, Kijiji Community Support, I was been told "If users have posted without RMT it may be that they send us their certifications but did not want to post it in the description, and so it was added on their files."

Certifications could be expired too, do Kijiji check certifications on file if they are expired or not.

Last couple of days I came across so many massage ads, just in Brampton, Ontario and surrounding areas on that did not mention if they were RMT. If someone is RMT, obviously they will mention it.

I have asked Kijiji to search every single massage ad to see if the member has provided their certification.

If Kijiji wants to set rules, it has to apply to everyone, not just me.

Ads constantly taken down without explanation. I have (had) 2 people (employed) posting for me. There is nothing in the ridiculous policies that says you can't have a PR person doing so.

I believe they thought it was me using fictious names. NO it was real people that are now banned from this site.

Kijiji went on my website and saw that I said "shipping" on it. EVERYBODY ships puppies, Kijiji ! Can a person not say what they like on their own website ?What country do we live in ?

Claimed more than 3 breeds or crossbreeds. Don't even have 1 anymore. If you are crossbreeding for doodles, they count parent breeds as 2 and the cross as third !

You have to fight to get an answer after PAYING for ads that constantly get taken down.

I wish we had a site based in CANADA that breeders could use. This unregulated business sucks. They are taking people's money and then taking away what you paid for.

There is a stupid excuse for everything they do.

MANY, many ads on Kijiji are blatantly in the first sentence saying that they live in another province and SHIP PUPPIES all over Canada. 2 policy violations right there ! Ads have not been taken down.

Designerdoodles.com has 6 BREEDS OR CROSSBREEDS on their website. Ad has been turned in repeatedly by many of my friends and is STILL UP.

Has Kijiji not snooped ontheir site ?

This is DISCRIMINATION Kijiji ! If you are going to work over and steal from people with your stupid rules, do it to ALL that are violat ing the POLICIES !

Anybody else report to BBB as I am about to do. There is a class action lawsuit against Kijiji for this behaviour. Get on it !

Jan 31, 22 I bought tires on rims from this vendor (Kenny) who said in the description that the bolt size pattern of the wheels were 5 x 114mm. This is what I needed but the wheels that he delivered to my house did not have this bolt pattern but rather 5 x 104mm. When I contacted him as soon as I knew, he said he was sorry and that he had other sets that he could swap out for me. He even offered to do it that night. At that time I measured the pattern on the wheels that he sold me and I mistakenly mis-measured and told him I though he was right and I was wrong. But when I re-measured, I realized that the wheels he sold me were not the 5 x 114mm as promised and so I cannot use them. Now he ignores all my emails to return the wheels. I answered a listing in porthope ont. for a f150 truck for $1200. the guy asked for $50.deposit to hold the truck till i got the today, i e-trasfered the money , then he text me from [protected] and said he started the truck but it was ticking so he will send the money back right now sorry for waisting my time . that was hour and half ago and now he will not answer my text or calls , what do i do ?

On Monday morning, Dec. 13th I posted 2 different ads for 2 different breeds of puppies that we have to rehome. It was listed in the proper section with a paid ad. We have a small licensed kennel with several different breeds and rely on Kijiji to reach our customers.
My account was blocked with no warning or explanation of how I was in violation. When I contacted the help desk through the live chat I was told they have the right to remove content and then the chat was ended without any further explanation.
It seems only fair that if I am in violation that I would be given the opportunity to correct my mistakes. It seems completely unethical for Kijiji to take the money for the paid ads and never give an explanation or opportunity to correct mistakes if there are any.
I would like to have my Kijiji rights reinstated with an explanation of where or how I was in violation.

Advertising and listings is never accurate..missing adds.opportunits is missing and never updates properly ..used to be an incredible site .now not ever opportunity is listed as I have compared on labtops..ect vs mobile...really Terrible

The ad has been up for almost 3 months now.
What he says is not true and yet I have no way of stopping him from posting his malicious material. He is not selling or buying a motorcycle, seems he just wants to disparage the person. I thought that kijiji would better control the type of ad being posted. If he had a legit compliant he should have taken the matter directly to the person involved not posting this sort of material for the whole world to see. I'm very disappointed with kijiji and am considering legal action if the ad is not removed, the poster should be banned from posting for a year at least.

On Nov 11th 2021, after using Kijiji for 11 years my account got blocked with no explanation.

My family and I have been using Kijiji to rent a small number of apartments for years. We started putting ads on Craiglist then on Kijiji, and until recently haven't had any issues.

Last week, I posted an ad (#1592400078) for my apartment, the ad was taken down right away with no explanation, thought that was strange. So I put the ad up again and changed the title but left the description the same. Again, the add was taken down, so I contacted their customer service by chat and they said it was their mistake, they apologized and reposted the ad. Thought that was the end of it, so I payed $77 to boost my ad visibility for a week. A week later, since I had not received a single response (which is a bit odd), I thought to look at the ad view counter and saw my ad had been taken down AGAIN! After I contacted their customer service by chat, they kicked me out of the chat telling me my account was blocked, no other explanation. Confused I started another chat with them and they sent me the following message:

"Thank you for your patience. Your account is blocked. We reserve the right to remove content where we have grounds for suspecting the violation of our terms or the rights of any other party. Unfortunately, I am not able to activate your account at the moment."

What kind of company does this? Banning a paying customer that has spent hundreds of dollars over the years with no explanation? Customers deserve better.
