These guys only care about the association that owns the building they work in. We had a problem with our motorhome transmission and stumbled upon their website, which claimed they work on motorhome mechanics. Turns out, they don't have any mechanics on staff and outsource the work to mobile mechanics. So, we started looking for another shop. KA RV was absolutely unhelpful. They're located in an industrial complex with other businesses, but there are no signs indicating where to park. Yet, they expect people to figure it out when they're dealing with transmission issues on a Sunday night. When I first interacted with them, they told me we had parked the RV incorrectly. They said they would get in trouble and scolded me for parking there. No assistance, no offer to help, just a demand to move. "Alright, no problem, I can move it. Just show me where." They told me to go around the back and they would guide me. I went around, but they disappeared. I waited for 5 minutes, but they didn't come back. So, I parked where they had gestured. I walked back over to get our tow vehicle and brought it around too. 10 minutes later, they reappeared and said I had to park within the lines of the space. They claimed they would get in trouble if we parked over the line. Again, no offer to assist, no help. You said you would show me where to park, but then you vanished. Now you want me to move my RV with transmission issues again, as if it's no big deal. I moved the RV and parked it perfectly within the lines, just to please them. Then, they started yelling that the association requires parking within the lines. They scolded me, saying I should have done it right from the start, even though they had only vaguely pointed in the general direction. I told them I didn't work there, had never been there before, and was stressed out by the situation. If they had actually shown me where to park, we wouldn't be having this conversation. They then gave me another mobile mechanic to call, the second one they had suggested. The mobile mechanic I had spoken to earlier had already informed me that he couldn't come until the next day. So, we would have to spend another night in the parking lot. Not a big deal for us, but I'm sure the association would have something to say about it. Finally, I managed to find a transmission shop about 20 minutes further down the road. I was waiting for them to call back and confirm that they had made arrangements to accommodate our RV. We had to rearrange some things between our car and RV to make space for our belongings and the dogs. We were about to leave as soon as we got the call. And guess who showed up at the door? Yep, the same guy, asking why I hadn't called his second suggested mobile mechanic. You know, the guy who would charge me just to look at the outside of my transmission and couldn't actually fix anything. Yeah, that guy. I told him I was waiting for a call back from another transmission shop and that we were leaving. He didn't seem to be listening, as he mentioned again that the association would only allow the two people he had suggested to work on or assess my vehicle in the parking lot due to insurance reasons. I thanked him and closed the door. As we were getting ready to leave, a new employee from KA RV came by and said he needed to know what was happening because of the association. He informed us that we couldn't stay overnight in the lot because of THE ASSOCIATION. I told him I didn't care about the association and asked him to stop talking to me. But he wouldn't leave, so I got angry and cursed at him. He threatened to have our vehicle towed if we didn't leave within an hour. I just wanted them to know that we were already leaving and their empty threats meant nothing. I would never go back there, 0 out of 10. Nobody cares about your association. Maybe next time, try actually being helpful.
