RepairPal Review: RepairPal - A Helpful Tool for Setting Customer Expectations in Auto Repair Industry

In my 47 years of experience in the auto repair industry, I have heard it all. From customers claiming that a repair should only take a few minutes to those who have no idea what the issue is, it can be a challenge to provide accurate estimates. That's where RepairPal comes in. This independent service provides customers with an approximate idea of what a repair entails, which can be helpful in setting expectations.

However, it's important to note that RepairPal doesn't take into consideration factors such as rusted parts or broken bolts. As a Service Writer, it's my job to explain to customers why a repair may cost more than what they were quoted over the phone. It's not always an easy conversation to have, but it's necessary to ensure that customers understand the full scope of the repair.

Despite these challenges, I have found that RepairPal has been more than fair with their estimates and the tows that are brought to us. It's important to remember that RepairPal is just a tool and not the entirety of our business. As a repair shop, it's our responsibility to provide quality service and build trust with our customers.

When a new customer asks me why they should do business with us, I always tell them to find a shop they trust and stick with them. If they're unhappy with our service, I encourage them to speak with the owner or manager so we can address any issues. We can't fix something if we don't know about it.

Overall, we have been truly happy with RepairPal. While they may not be a complete solution to our business, they have certainly helped us by sending customers our way. We hope to take care of all their needs and provide them with the best service possible.

RepairPal Disappointing Experience with RepairPal- Misdiagnosis and Overcharging at All Auto Repair in Tallahassee

So, my son was away at college and his car wouldn't start. I was really worried because I didn't know what to do. That's when I remembered RepairPal. I went to their website and found a 5-star auto shop in Tallahassee, Florida called All Auto Repair. I towed the car to the shop and they told me it needed a new alternator. They said they put one in, as well as two belts. I paid $610 and my son was able to start the car and leave. However, the next day he went to Walmart and the same problem happened. The car wouldn't start. My son and I both tried calling the phone numbers for the business but neither worked. After 1 1/2 hours of this, my son took an Uber to the shop.

Garrett, the mechanic, told me that the problem was the battery. He said that it had a bad cell and that it needed to be replaced. He offered to sell me a new Autocraft battery with charges for $135. He said that the battery had checked out when he finished the repairs the day before. Now I'm thinking that I paid $610 for a new alternator that I didn't need because of his missed diagnosis. To make matters worse, he charged me for the tow back to his shop. He claimed that his "card reader" wasn't working and that I needed to pay another way. My son had to go to his bank to get the payment.

I am really disappointed with RepairPal and I don't think I will ever trust them or use them again. It's really frustrating to think that I paid so much money for something that didn't even fix the problem. I wish I had gone to a different auto shop instead.

RepairPal Mixed Experience with CarMax Warranty and RepairPal Estimates

Me and my wife recently purchased a car from CarMax, but unfortunately, the engine failed within a year. We want to make it clear that this was not CarMax's fault, nor was it due to a lack of oil changes. It was actually a defect in the engine build from OEM Hyundai. Luckily, the Hyundai Dealer was able to fix it for free.

However, we did encounter some issues with the warranty. The warranty limits you on mark up, and we had one warranty company only allow for a $1 markup on the part that we needed to warranty for 2 years. This was frustrating, as we felt like we were being limited in our options.

We also received estimates on repairs from RepairPal, but we were not impressed with the accuracy of these estimates. We don't know who writes these estimates, but any shop that could do the repairs for the estimates given would never last. We ended up going to our trusted mechanic instead.

To make matters worse, we discovered that RepairPal charges you for pre-existing customers. On our last bill, we found that they had charged us for coming to our own shop and fixing our truck that we did not buy from them. We were shocked to learn that they will charge for customers you have had for years if at any point in time a person in that house bought a car from them. This seems unfair and unreasonable.

Overall, we recommend that if you have a good shop that you trust, or if you already have a shop, use caution when considering RepairPal. We hope that they can get their act together and improve their practices. For reference, the invoice we are referring to is ***0923 and the RO *** is our truck. We were going to include a picture, but there is customer information on it.

RepairPal RepairPal: The Go-To for Reliable and Trustworthy Repair Shops

I was in a bit of a pickle with my trusty old 98 beater, as I suspected it needed some freon. But before I went ahead and asked for an estimate on freon, I decided to check out RepairPal to see what they suggested. And boy, was I glad I did! RepairPal recommended a nearby repair shop, and I was able to make an appointment online the night before. The next morning, I received an email and text to confirm the drop off time.

The repair shop I dropped my car off at had over 300 positive reviews with 4.5+ ratings out of 5, so I knew I was making the best choice. When I received the estimate, I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't try to scare me with upsells on other items I already knew about. However, they did make an error on one of the three items I questioned them about, giving me an estimate of $3000 instead of $300 for labor hours. But that wasn't RepairPal's fault, and the shop quickly corrected the mistake.

I decided to use RepairPal to get other estimates, and if the repair shop won't match the estimate for the same repair estimates they gave me, I will go elsewhere. I am very happy with the results, and I want to thank Repair Pal for their help.

The only reason I gave one less star is because they don't have all the items on their list to get an estimate. For example, I think a wheel bearing replacement is a common repair, but they don't have it as an item. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend RepairPal to anyone who needs a reliable and trustworthy repair shop.

RepairPal Review: RepairPal - A Helpful Tool for Budgeting Car Repairs

So, you're driving down the road and suddenly your car starts making a weird noise. You know it's not good, but you have no idea how much it's going to cost to fix it. That's where RepairPal comes in. You hop on their website, type in your vehicle information, and voila! You get a base estimate of what it might cost to fix your car.

Now, let's be real here. We all know that estimates are just that - estimates. They're not set in stone, and there are always going to be variables that can affect the final cost. But, having a general idea of what you might be looking at can be incredibly helpful when you're trying to budget for car repairs.

I own a small auto repair shop, and I use RepairPal all the time to give my customers an idea of what they might be looking at in terms of cost. Sure, there are times when the estimate is way off, but that's usually because there's something else going on with the car that we didn't know about. But, for the most part, it's a great tool to have in our arsenal.

One thing to keep in mind, though, is that the estimates on RepairPal are just that - estimates. They're not set in stone, and there are always going to be variables that can affect the final cost. So, if you're calling around to different shops to get quotes, don't be surprised if the prices vary a bit.

Another thing to keep in mind is that some shops might charge you list price for the parts, even if they got them for a lower price. That's just how it goes sometimes. But, if you're armed with the knowledge of what the part should cost, you can at least be aware of what you're paying for.

Overall, I think RepairPal is a great resource for anyone who needs to get their car repaired. It's not perfect, but it's a good starting point for figuring out what you might be looking at in terms of cost. Just make sure you read the fine print and keep in mind that the estimates are just that - estimates.

RepairPal Review of RepairPal: Reliable Resource for Auto Repair Estimates and Shop Recommendations

I've been a member of RepairPal for a good 5 years now, and I gotta say, it's been a great experience. As a shop owner, I appreciate the fact that they don't just take any old shop. They actually call up your customers to make sure you're not ripping them off and that you're providing good customer service. That's a level of accountability that I can get behind.

One of the things that I really like about RepairPal is their repair estimator tool. It's the same tool that NAPA uses for their website, and it gives customers a point of reference to ensure that they're getting fair pricing. Auto repair is a complicated business, and getting an accurate estimate can be tough. You can't just call around or click a few buttons and expect to get an accurate estimate. That's why the range on the estimator can be pretty large. But it's still a great tool to have.

Another thing that I appreciate about RepairPal is that they require their shops to use quality parts and have certified technicians. And if your shop gets complaints, they'll bump you down the list. That's a level of quality control that you don't see everywhere.

Now, I did see one customer complaining that it was just "paid recommendations" and that the shops were "higher than the dealer." But that's just not the case. There are actually certain, very rare, jobs that the dealer will be the cheapest. But for the vast majority (99%) of repairs, our independent shop is 10-40% cheaper AND offers a longer warranty! So don't let that one negative review scare you off.

At the end of the day, RepairPal is no different than Angie's List, Yelp, or any other review site. ALL of them have "premier" listings that the businesses pay to be in. The difference is A: the consumer doesn't have to pay RepairPal, and B: RepairPal actually checks on the shops themselves, instead of just relying on reviews (some of which are inaccurate or put on by competitors). So if you're looking for a reliable resource for auto repair estimates and shop recommendations, I highly recommend RepairPal.

RepairPal RepairPal's Cost Estimator is a Rip-Off: A Review of Their Spark Plug Replacement Estimate

Yo, so I checked out RepairPal to get an estimate on some repairs for my ride and let me tell you, I was not impressed. The cost estimator they got going on seems way too expensive. Like, I compared the estimates to some repairs I've had done before and they were way higher than what I paid. So, I decided to check out the estimate for something I know well, spark plugs. Now, you can get some really nice spark plugs for like $8 to $10 each and replacing them is a super quick job for an experienced mechanic. But, RepairPal quoted me $96 to $144 for 8 spark plugs! I don't know what kind of spark plugs they're using, but auto shops usually replace with aftermarket parts and I highly doubt they're paying more than $7 to $10 per plug. That's like $56 to $80 for the parts. And then they're charging $182 to $233 for labor? That's crazy! An experienced mechanic can replace 4 spark plugs in 15 minutes, so let's say 30 minutes for the whole job. That means the mechanic is making $364 to $566 per hour! According to the national average labor rate for auto mechanics, they only make $75 to $100 an hour. So, that puts the labor cost at like $50 for the spark plug replacement. In reality, this job at a mechanic shop should be no more than $130, which is less than half of the minimum price quoted by RepairPal! If I'm wrong about this, then someone needs to explain to me why they're charging $278 to $377 for spark plug replacement! Honestly, I wouldn't trust this site's estimator. It has the potential to do some good and help keep mechanic shops honest, but not when their estimator is less honest than the mechanics! I'd recommend checking out AutoMD.com instead. For the same repair, they quoted me $235 to have 8 spark plugs replaced at a dealership and $152 to have them replaced in a shop. That's much more accurate in my opinion.

RepairPal Review: RepairPal - A Useful Resource for Car Repairs, But Not Perfect

This website, RepairPal, is a pretty cool idea and I gotta say, I'm impressed. I mean, it's not perfect, but what is? I decided to give it a try and see what it could do for me. I had an old GMC van that needed an alternator replacement, so I typed in the details and the site came up with a price range of $263 to $393, with the cost of the part being between $159 and $261. Now, I'm no expert, but that seems about right if I were to take it to a repair shop. The only problem is, finding a shop is a whole other challenge. The site gave me 64 pages of possible shops to choose from, which is overwhelming to say the least.

So, I decided to do a little research on my own and went to the local parts store. To my surprise, the part only cost $44! It's a very common part used in several different vehicles, so I could take it to my local shop and they would fit it in an hour for another $80. That's a lot less than what the site quoted me.

Don't get me wrong, I think this site is a great resource and definitely worth checking out. But, I wouldn't rely on it solely, especially if the repair is a simple one that you could potentially do yourself. It would be great if they had a difficulty rating for repairs, indicating whether the average person could tackle the work. This might encourage more people to learn how to do things for themselves.

Another cool feature would be if you could select the symptoms and the site would take an educated guess at the problem. That would be really helpful for those of us who aren't car experts. Overall, I think this site has a lot of potential for development.

One thing that does concern me is that repair shops might use this site as a guide and charge more than they normally would. For example, if the site shows that my repair will cost $250 and the shop normally charges $150, they might be tempted to go with the higher figure. I don't think many shops would do this, but it's something to keep in mind.

All in all, I would recommend giving RepairPal a try. It's a great resource for getting an idea of what a repair might cost, but it's always a good idea to do your own research and get multiple quotes before committing to anything.

RepairPal RepairPal: The Ultimate Solution for Finding Trustworthy Auto Shops

I gotta tell ya, I was in a real pickle with my car. It was acting up and I had no idea where to take it. Luckily, I stumbled upon RepairPal. Let me tell you, this website is a lifesaver. They have a list of certified auto shops that you can trust. I ended up choosing Alpha and Omega Automotive Repair (A&O) because they had all 5-star reviews on Yelp. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint.

I dropped off my Honda Accord at A&O and they fixed it up real nice. The oil pan was replaced and the A/C was working again. I did a quote at Sears before and they were cheaper, but I decided to go with A&O because of their outstanding reputation. And boy, was I right. They did a fantastic job.

I actually made my appointment with A&O through RepairPal. This website is amazing. They give you a guaranteed fair price range for your auto repairs if you go to their certified shops. And if the shop charges more than the price range, RepairPal will send you a refund of the difference. How cool is that? They keep their word and I appreciate that.

But the best part? Yesterday I got a package from RepairPal. They sent me a blue T-shirt, a thank-you note, and some small gifts. I was so touched by their kindness. It's rare to find a company that cares about their customers so much.

So, if you're in need of an auto repair shop, I highly recommend using RepairPal. They'll give you an estimate of how much it'll cost to fix your car and they'll even book your appointment for you. And if anything goes wrong, they'll solve the issues for you. It's a win-win situation. Trust me, you won't regret it.

RepairPal Disappointing Experience with RepairPal: Warranty Voided, Repairs Not Done Properly, and Car Sold at a Loss

My experience with RepairPal was not a good one. I had a 2000 Camaro that was well maintained and had no major problems until it started cutting off intermittently when entering or exiting driveways. The check engine light came on after the last time it cut off, so I took it to Wayne & Dave's Automotive, recommended by a co-worker.

I left my car there for a full diagnosis and was quoted $915 for all four O2 sensors, top end cleaning, clean mass airflow sensor, and diagnosis time. I agreed to all the repairs and was promised a 2-year/24,000-mile warranty covering all parts and labor. However, when I picked up my car, it smelled like something was burning and cut off upon entering the gas station driveway. I brought it back to the shop and was told it would cost me more to repair whatever was wrong with it. Chris, the manager, even laughed and said diagnoses are not warranted.

I pointed out the discrepancy in the warranty and the fact that the master airflow sensor was supposed to have been taken care of. Chris tried to charge me another $379 to replace it, but eventually repaired it without the additional fee as a courtesy to my workplace. However, when I picked up my car, Chris voided the warranty in front of me with a black marker.

My car continued to run poorly, smell like something was burning, and cut off more than before the repairs. It even failed smog, which it had never done before. I eventually had to sell it at below market price because the problems didn't go away and I informed the buyer of the issues. My workplace checked with other clients who used Wayne & Dave's and found that their cars still needed repairs that were supposed to have already been fixed.

Overall, my experience with RepairPal was a disappointment. The repairs were not done properly, the warranty was not honored, and my car ended up being sold at a loss. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

RepairPal Beware of Repair Pal's Sneaky Referral Fees for Roadside Assistance Tows

I just found out that Repair Pal was taking a 10% cut from our loyal customers who were using the Aergo tow network for roadside assistance. This was happening even when our customers were requesting to be towed to us, their trusted mechanic. It's not right to call it a referral fee when the customer is already coming to us. I hope other shop owners are aware of this sneaky practice. We lost a lot of money before I caught on to what was happening. Repair Pal didn't even try to deny it, they just told me it was my responsibility to catch those "charges" and ask for them to be removed. It's frustrating to think about how much we could have saved if we had known about this earlier.

Same here, we just dropped the towing, had family members tow their car and we got charged. When we first signed up in 2017 we were told if it was a previous customer we would not be charged. Total lies. Check your monthly statement! I don't know if they are getting their information from carmax or what but when I reviewed I found invoices with no invoice numbers and some of them were way overcharged and almost all of them were including sales tax.

This happened to my shop as well! Initially, they would reverse the charges if we requested with valid info. However, they quit reversing the charges and went so far as to charge my shop 10% for family members of my employees and even for some of my closest family and friends. It is a TOTAL RIPOFF. RepairPal RepairPal's Misleading Practices: A Frustrating Experience for Certified Businesses

RepairPal (repairpal.com) has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed with their service. They have grossly misrepresented our shop to the public by labeling us as "uncertified" simply because we chose not to pay them a monthly fee of $200. This is despite the fact that we are fully licensed, insured, and ASE certified. It's misleading and manipulative, and feels like extortion.

To make matters worse, RepairPal has also removed several reviews of our service after we stopped paying their certification fee. This is unacceptable and unfair to our business. We believe that our customers have the right to leave honest reviews of our service, regardless of whether or not we choose to pay RepairPal for their certification.

One of the biggest issues we have with RepairPal is that there is no way for us to showcase our certifications and license information on their platform. This means that potential customers may be misled into thinking that we are not certified, when in fact we are ASE certified world-class technicians. We want to be able to show our customers that we are certified and qualified to provide top-notch service.

Despite these frustrations, we are proud to say that we are a BBB rated A+ Mobile Mechanic at www.wego2umobilemechanic.com. We believe in providing honest, reliable, and high-quality service to our customers, and we will continue to do so regardless of whether or not we are listed on RepairPal.

In conclusion, RepairPal's practices are misleading and manipulative, and we do not recommend their service to anyone looking for an honest and fair representation of their business. We hope that they will reconsider their policies and allow businesses like ours to showcase our certifications and license information on their platform.

RepairPal RepairPal's Recommendation Led to a 5-Month Nightmare with Link Automotive in Charleston, WV

So, I was looking for a way to get my car fixed and stumbled upon RepairPal. I thought it was a great idea to have a website that recommends repair shops in my area. I ended up choosing Link Automotive in Charleston, WV, based on their recommendation.

Unfortunately, my experience with Link Automotive was not a good one. My car was there for a whopping 5 months, and they were unable to fix it. I had to pay $400 to a tow truck to get it there, and now I have to pay even more to get it to the next destination.

I feel that RepairPal should take responsibility for recommending a shop that was unable to fix my car. They guaranteed me that Link Automotive would be able to fix my problem, but they did not fix anything. I have emailed RepairPal a few times, but they have not done anything about it.

If I had not trusted RepairPal and paid $400 to get my car to Link Automotive, I would not be paying again to get it to another shop. It's frustrating to have to pay twice for something that should have been done right the first time.

Overall, I think RepairPal is a good idea, but they need to take responsibility for their recommendations. It's not fair for customers to have to pay for their mistakes. I hope they can improve their service in the future.

RepairPal Disappointed with RepairPal: No Negative Reviews Allowed & Poor Experience with Recommended Shop

RepairPal is a website that claims to help people find reliable and trustworthy auto repair shops. However, I have had a terrible experience with a shop that was recommended by RepairPal. Despite the glowing reviews on the website, the workmanship was poor and the staff lacked professionalism. To make matters worse, they actually damaged my car instead of fixing it. When I tried to leave a negative review on RepairPal, I found out that they do not allow negative reviews on their site. This made me suspicious that the shops listed on RepairPal just pay a fee to be listed and that no one can leave a negative review.

After some searching, I was able to find a way to contact RepairPal and they did respond to my complaint. They are currently investigating the matter and I am hopeful that they will be able to resolve the issue. I will update this review once I have more information.

Overall, I am disappointed with my experience with RepairPal. Their certification means nothing if they do not allow negative reviews on their site. It is important for consumers to be able to share their experiences, both positive and negative, so that others can make informed decisions about where to take their cars for repairs. I hope that RepairPal will take steps to address this issue and improve their service in the future.

RepairPal Mixed Experience with RepairPal.com: Finding a Mechanic vs. Dealing with Issues

So, I was referred to repairpal.com by CarMax, and I gotta say, it was a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, I was able to find Main Street Garage in Upland, CA, which seemed like a decent place to get my car fixed up. But on the other hand, things didn't exactly go smoothly.

I had some trouble with my alternator, and I brought it in to Main Street Garage to get it fixed. They tried to repair it twice, but both times they said it was a bad part. Finally, on the third attempt, they refused to make good on a warranted part unless I signed some papers that would expose me to having to pay for another diagnostic for the same issue. Needless to say, I wasn't too happy about that.

So, I decided to call up repairpal.com and complain about Main Street Garage. I talked to a woman named Terra, and honestly, she didn't seem all that helpful. She just made excuses for their behavior and didn't really do anything to address my concerns.

Overall, I'd say that repairpal.com is a decent resource, but it's not perfect. If you're looking for a good mechanic, it might be worth checking out. But if you run into any issues, don't expect them to be too helpful. In my experience, it's better to just ask friends and family for a referral. That way, you know you're getting a recommendation from someone you trust.

RepairPal RepairPal Review: Overpriced and Unreliable Referral System

RepairPal is a website that claims to help you find reliable car repair shops in your area. However, my recent experience with them has left me feeling like I threw my money away. I needed an HVAC blower motor replacement, and RepairPal referred me to a shop that charged me way more than the parts were worth. The Motorcraft blower motor cost $78.79, but the shop charged me $99.71. The Motorcraft resistor cost $19.13, but the shop charged me $37.90. And to top it off, they charged me $75.38 for an HVAC resistor connection kit that was rarely necessary in a replacement situation. And let's not forget the $21.30 charge for "Job Supplies" - that's a lot of Go Jo!

But the real kicker was the surprise surcharge for using a credit card to pay the invoice. I wasn't told about this beforehand, and it added an additional 3% to my bill. That's just not fair. And when I looked at reviews submitted by shop owners, I saw that they were complaining about the $199/month extortion (membership) charge from RepairPal. It seems like they're making up for that by overcharging customers like me.

Overall, I would not recommend using RepairPal to find a car repair shop. They don't seem to have your best interests in mind, and their referral system is not reliable. Save yourself the trouble and find a reputable mechanic through word of mouth or online reviews. Don't waste your money on RepairPal.

RepairPal RepairPal: A Useless Site for Car Repairs - My Experience

I gotta say, RepairPal ain't worth a dime. I tried to get an estimate for a repair I needed and started calling up the shops they recommended. But let me tell you, those shops were asking for prices three times higher than the high end of the estimate I got from RepairPal. When I told them what I saw on the site, they just laughed and said "they got it wrong". So I wrote a letter to RepairPal explaining the situation and got a response from some big shot named Mr. Hajjar, who said he was the Sr. Manager of Partners or something like that. He asked me about my car's make and model and what repair I needed. I was impressed at first, but then he just stopped responding to my emails and wouldn't pick up the phone when I called the numbers he gave me. What a waste of time and resources, if you ask me. This site is completely useless.

RepairPal Terrible Service and Rip-Offs: Avoid Repair Facilities Associated with RepairPal

This business associated with RepairPal is absolutely terrible and will try to rip you off. When you contact RepairPal about this business, they completely ignore you. They try to talk circles around you because they don't know what they are doing. My car has been at one of their facilities for over a week and this facility has tried to overcharge me. My car is still under warranty, but what they thought was wrong wasn't covered. They told me my car was ready, so I went to pick it up, but it was still broken. It was only then that they took everything I told them at the time I bought the car in that was happening seriously. They have not kept me informed of what's going on with my car, and when I call, they are just plain rude. I'm just going to have to get my car towed to another shop at this point. It's a complete joke. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT use any repair facility associated with Repair Pal. The one I'm using is Benton Rd. Auto Repair.

I have to say, I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from this business associated with RepairPal. It's really frustrating when you take your car in for repairs and the people working on it don't seem to know what they're doing. I mean, come on, my car is still under warranty and they tried to overcharge me? That's just ridiculous. And when I tried to contact RepairPal about it, they completely ignored me. It's like they don't even care about their customers.

To make matters worse, when I went to pick up my car, it was still broken. I couldn't believe it. It was only then that they finally started taking me seriously and listened to everything I told them about what was happening with my car. But even then, they didn't keep me informed about what was going on. And when I called to check on the status of my car, they were just plain rude. I mean, is it too much to ask for a little bit of common courtesy?

At this point, I'm just going to have to get my car towed to another shop. I can't deal with this anymore. It's a complete joke. I would strongly advise anyone reading this to stay away from any repair facility associated with RepairPal. And if you're in my area, definitely don't go to Benton Rd. Auto Repair. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle.

RepairPal The Importance of Doing Your Own Research When Choosing an Auto Repair Shop

As someone who runs an auto repair shop, I think it's important to share some information that consumers may not be aware of. My shop has been around since 1995, and we always make sure to educate our customers about the repairs they need. Recently, we were contacted by RepairPal (RP) and Google, who offered to include us in their services for a fee of $400-$500 per month. While these companies may recommend our shop to consumers, it's important to note that we pay for this service, and it doesn't necessarily mean we're the best or most honest option out there.

I can't say whether RP is good or bad, which is why I'm giving them a one-star rating. However, I want to emphasize that this post is for educational purposes only. Consumers should always shop around and get multiple opinions before spending their hard-earned money. Just because a website recommends a shop doesn't mean it's the best choice for you. It's important to do your own research and make an informed decision.

At my shop, we take pride in providing quality repairs and excellent customer service. We believe in transparency and honesty, and we always make sure our customers understand the work we're doing and why it's necessary. We don't pay for recommendations or top ratings, but we do rely on word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied customers.

In conclusion, while RP and other websites may be helpful in finding a repair shop, it's important to remember that these companies are businesses too, and they may prioritize profits over quality. As a consumer, it's up to you to do your own research and make an informed decision. And as a repair shop owner, I'll continue to prioritize honesty and transparency in my business practices.

RepairPal RepairPal Failed Me: My Experience with Precision TUNE

I gotta say, I'm not a car expert or anything, but I know a thing or two about what's going on under the hood. When my ride started making this terrible screeching noise, I knew I had to get it checked out. That's when I stumbled upon RepairPal. I figured, hey, this site seems legit, they'll send me to a good mechanic who won't rip me off. Boy, was I wrong.

They sent me to Precision TUNE, which is off Steilacoom Blvd. I told them what I thought was wrong with my car, and they tried to sell me on replacing my whole suspension system! Can you believe that? I mean, I'm not made of money. I told the receptionist that I had already replaced the system not too long ago, after it collapsed on me when I was hauling a bunch of stuff to the dump. Her eyes got as big as golf balls, but I wasn't about to let them take advantage of me like that.

So I stormed out of there and made an appointment at Ray's Auto, which is also off Steilacoom Blvd. My mom and I have been going there for years, and they've always been honest and fair with us. I found out they open at 7 AM, which was perfect for me since I work during the day. I took my car in, and they told me I only needed a belt adjustment, just like I thought. And the best part? It only cost me less than $45! My van is running like a dream now, no more screeching.

Honestly, I don't think I can trust RepairPal anymore. I thought they were supposed to help me find a good mechanic, but they sent me to a place that tried to rip me off. I'm sticking with Ray's Auto from now on.
