Handyman.com Stay Away from Handyman.com: Unqualified Handymen and Terrible Service

I'm not happy with Handyman.com at all! I ordered a play set from Wayfarer for my grandchild, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. I had to deal with three different handymen who missed numerous appointments and kept giving me excuses as to why they couldn't fix it. It was frustrating and disappointing to say the least.

To make matters worse, none of them seemed to have any qualifications or skills to do the job. They were just a bunch of lazy handymen on a list with no connection to each other. I tried to complain, but there was no one I could call to get any response. It was like talking to a brick wall.

In the end, I had to take matters into my own hands. I asked a friend of mine to take the unassembled parts to the garbage, but he kept it and put it up himself in one afternoon. It was a shame that I had to resort to this, but I had no other choice.

I strongly advise you to stay away from Handyman.com. They are just a bunch of unrelated handymen who are not qualified for the job. If you want to get the job done right, find someone who is qualified and reliable. I found an immigrant who worked hard for half the price and did a great job.

Handyman.com Disappointing Experience with ER Construction of RI for Window Recaulking

I recently had a bad experience with Home Depot and their replacement windows, so I decided to post a request on handyman.com for someone to recaulk them. I was happy to receive a response from ER Construction of RI, but unfortunately, my experience with them was not great.

First of all, they showed up 5-6 hours late on the day we had agreed upon. While I appreciate that they eventually showed up, it was frustrating to have to wait around for so long. The recaulking that they did started to crack within a week, which was disappointing. I reached out to them three times within the last six weeks, but I have not heard back from them. It seems like they do not guarantee or stand behind their work, which is not a good sign.

Overall, I do not recommend ER Construction of RI. It seems like they are more interested in finding new customers online than in providing quality work and standing behind it. If you are looking for a reliable handyman, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Handyman.com Terrible Experience with Handyman.com: Beware of Ivan Kochergin!

I had a really bad experience with Handyman.com. I needed some work done in my kitchen, specifically replacing some cabinets and fixing a leaky pipe. I called up a man named Ivan Kochergin and asked him to come over and give me an estimate. But when he arrived, he didn't give me any kind of estimate at all. Instead, he just started tearing down my kitchen without warning.

The next day, he didn't show up at all. But on Saturday, my brother and I decided to try and fix the mess that Ivan had made. And wouldn't you know it, he showed up again! But instead of finishing the job, he just demanded more money. I told him that I wanted him to finish the work before I gave him any more money.

So he started working again, but only for about two hours. Then he left to go eat lunch. When he came back, I gave him some money and asked him to finish the job. But instead of doing that, he just got angry and stormed off. He even picked up his tools and left them in my backyard!

I would definitely not recommend Ivan Kochergin or Handyman.com to anyone. It was a terrible experience and I don't want anyone else to have to go through it.

Handyman.com Unreliable and Unprofessional: My Experience with Handyman.com

I had a really bad experience with Handyman.com. I wanted to get my house cleaned and I paid for three hours of work in advance using my credit card. The first time the cleaner came, she was one hour late. I was really disappointed because I had planned my day around her arrival time. But when she finished, she acted like she had worked for three hours even though she had only worked for two. I was really upset about this, but I decided to give them another chance.

The next time I scheduled a cleaning, I paid in advance again using my credit card. But this time, nobody showed up! I was really frustrated because I had already paid for the service and nobody came to do the work. When I called the company to ask what happened, they told me that they could reschedule the cleaning for me. I had no choice but to agree because they had already taken my money. But when the rescheduled cleaning date came around, nobody showed up again! I was so angry and disappointed that I decided to cancel the service altogether.

I really don't recommend Handyman.com to anyone. They are unreliable and unprofessional. They took my money and didn't provide the service that I paid for. I hope that they won't charge my credit card again in the future. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy cleaning service, stay away from Handyman.com!

Handyman.com Disappointing Experience with Handyman.com: Poor Workmanship and Lack of Communication

I recently hired Handyman.com to assemble three large desks that I needed for my home office. I described the desks to them and they calculated that it would take six hours to complete the job. I pre-paid $278.00 for their services and eagerly awaited the arrival of the worker.

The worker arrived on time, which was a relief. However, six hours later, he had only managed to put together one of the desks. I was faced with a difficult choice: pay for additional hours or have him leave without completing the job. I tried to contact Handyman.com by email, as it was the only way to reach them, but a day later, I still hadn't heard back from them.

Feeling frustrated and desperate, I agreed to pay the worker more money to continue working. Twelve hours later and $200 more, he left without completely finishing the assembly. To make matters worse, the drawers wouldn't go in because he used the wrong screws. I spent part of today finishing his job and looking for screws that no one seems to have because I don't want to dismantle the desks looking for where he used them.

To add insult to injury, I still haven't received a response from Handyman.com other than five emails asking me to install their app. It's incredibly frustrating to have paid so much money for such a poor job and to receive no support or communication from the company.

Overall, I would not recommend Handyman.com to anyone. Their lack of communication and poor workmanship have left me feeling incredibly disappointed and frustrated.

Handyman.com Unreliable and Unprofessional: My Experience with Handyman.com

I recently used Handyman.com to schedule a handyman to come out and set up my son's basketball goal. I found the service through Walmart's online shopping platform and paid $99.00 for the handyman service. Unfortunately, my experience with Handyman.com has been less than satisfactory.

I have been trying to schedule an appointment since March 22nd, but the process has been an ongoing cancellation and rescheduling nightmare. My appointments were scheduled for March 22nd, 25th, and 27th, but all of them were cancelled at short notice. On March 25th, I received a text message after 7:00 pm informing me of the cancellation, and tonight, March 26th, I received an email at 10:05 pm informing me of yet another cancellation. My appointment was supposed to be tomorrow, March 27th, at 11:00 am.

My kids and I have been eagerly waiting for the basketball goal to be set up, and we have left our days open for these appointments. However, the constant cancellations and rescheduling have been very frustrating and disappointing. It is inconsiderate of Handyman.com to be so unprofessional and to not consider our feelings.

As a result of these cancellations, we currently have a box with a basketball goal sitting in our garage, collecting dust for the past five days. It is very disappointing that Handyman.com and the handyman they provided have failed to fulfill their promises. I am extremely upset and disappointed with the service provided by Handyman.com.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Handyman.com to anyone looking for a reliable and professional handyman service. The constant cancellations and lack of consideration for their customers' time and feelings are unacceptable. I hope that Handyman.com will improve their service and become more reliable and professional in the future.

Handyman.com Terrible Experience with Handyman.com: Unprofessional Staff and Incompetent Plumber

So, I had to get a plumber to fix some stuff at my place and decided to give Handyman.com a try. I called them up the day before to make sure I had everything the plumber would need, and the guy on the phone was pretty sarcastic with me. He was like, "I don't know, do you?" I mean, come on, dude, I'm just trying to be prepared.

Anyway, the plumber showed up the next day and I showed him what needed to be done. He looked around and then said, "You have two bathrooms." I was like, "Yeah, I just showed them to you." Then he asked me where I wanted him to start, and I was like, "Anywhere, man, I just need the job done."

So, I had to run to a local manufactured home supply to get a sink, and when I came back, the plumber was sitting in his car. He had only put the sink in halfway and then asked me to put more time on the computer. I was like, "How long were you sitting in your car?" He didn't even fix either of the showers like I asked him to.

I told him that when he was done with the sink, he was done. I wasn't putting any more time on it. Then the next day, I noticed a leak under the sink that he had installed! And to top it off, two of my rings that were on my nightstand were missing. Coincidence? I don't think so.

I tried calling Handyman.com, but nobody called me back. They finally gave me a $35.00 credit, which is a joke. I ended up having to call a real plumber to come and fix the showers and the leak under the sink, and they did it with no problem.

Overall, my experience with Handyman.com was awful. I would never use them again and would advise others to steer clear as well.

Handyman.com Handyman.com Review: Lame Site with No Customer Support and Irrelevant Contractor Matches

This site ain't worth a dime. I made an account and put up a project, but not even one contractor has replied. It's a simple job (fixing drywall and painting a living room), so it ain't like it's too hard. Out of the contractors that supposedly "match" my project, when I tried to contact them through the site, I get sent to HomeAdvisor.com, which is another lame site. Finally, you get to a "request direct quote" button, or something like that, and still no one responds. I've "directly contacted" three possible contractors and not even one has replied. In one case, I've been waiting for over a month, so the delay can't be blamed on the holiday season.

My other big complaint about the site is, once you post your project you're brought to a page of "local contractors" that match the criteria of your project. Now, I live in Arlington MA and the list of contractors on that page were from Florida, California, and Virginia. Nowhere near my location and completely irrelevant to my needs.

Also, at the Handyman.com site, there ain't no way to directly contact customer support. The only option is to send an email, but you gotta pick your subject and they only offer the subjects of "Partner with us" or "Become a contractor." Like I said, lame site and no customer support. Don't bother - go straight to Yelp and search for real contractors with real reviews.

Handyman.com Handyman.com Review: Poor Communication, Shoddy Workmanship, and No Follow-Up

So, we had a date set to start the work and we scheduled time off for it. We got a phone call verifying that they would be there, and we told the gal that we were scheduled and waiting for them. However, when Monday came, they didn't show up. We called and the gal told us that it was actually the next week and made us feel like we were idiots for getting the day wrong. That should have been a clue that things were not going to go smoothly.

Finally, when the guys did show up (instead of Monday morning, it was around 4 pm), all they did was rip out the old shower. The next day, they started installing the new one, and the day after that, they put the enclosure on and did the caulking. We bought good caulk (Gorilla brand) because we wanted to avoid any problems in the future. However, all they did was run a bead of caulk without smoothing it out, even though the product instructions clearly said to do so.

As a result, we ended up with a leak around the enclosure and the shower looked terrible. We called them, and they came out two more times. While we didn't have any leaks after that, two days later, the caulk started bubbling. We never heard back from the gal who wanted our money, and we never heard from the guy who came out to give us a quote. You would think he would come back to see if we were happy, but nope.

All we got was a bill, and because my wife told the gal the first time we had a leak that we should be getting 10% or more knocked off the bill, we got a measly $50 discount. That's it. We still didn't hear from these people to see if we were happy with the job or to actually see what the problem was. Really?

Oh, and I forgot to mention that when they came back to recaulk, they didn't use the stuff we bought. Instead, they used cheaper stuff, which might be why it's bubbling at the door of the shower. Needless to say, we're not happy with Handyman.com. I guess we got what we paid for. We had a different quote for about $800 more, but it would have been done right.

I'm going to check with my credit card company to see if I can dispute the charges. If that's the only way to go, then so be it. But they should make it right. We'll see what happens.

Handyman.com Disappointing Experience with Handyman.com: Three No Shows for Christmas Light Installation

I recently had an experience with Handyman.com that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had purchased an installation package for Christmas lights through Walmart and was excited to have my home decorated for the holidays. However, my excitement quickly turned to frustration when I had three different appointments with three no shows.

Each time, I had cleared out my day so I could be available to instruct the "Handyman" on how I wanted my lights installed. The first time I called Handyman, they had an attitude of "Here is the handy man's number- you call and the two of you figure it out". I was confused because I didn't hire this person directly, I made the purchase with the Handyman company. I was thinking "Shouldn't they be involved in communicating with the person they hired"?

After the second guy didn't show up after clearing out my second day, I called Handyman again. This time, I talked to someone I could not understand as he was probably on the other side of the planet. He kept saying I should call the Handyman that they hired and he didn't want to get involved. After I called Handyman back and said I couldn't get the installer to answer the phone, he said rest assured the next appointment will be on time and will show up. I asked him how can I rest assured and what are you doing differently than before to confirm that they will be here next time? His response didn't make sense and basically there was a language barrier and he didn't know what I was saying, he just kept reading off generic apologies and reaffirmation that didn't make sense. It sounded like he was just reading lines off a foreign language to him.

Long story short, the next appointment was a no show and Handyman again didn't take any responsibility and I cancelled my order. I do not understand how Walmart can support/give business to this company. Every-time I brought up an issue to Handyman, their response was "That is your problem, you call the installer". I would think that they should be responsible on which installers/contractors they choose to do business with and they should stand by how they use and not be hands off. It was a frustrating experience and I would not recommend Handyman.com to anyone.

Handyman.com Home repair

Man from handyman.com came out and said he would do 2 window frame replacements. Got materials and spent 7.5 hours on one. Ive asked for material reciept for the 331 and they refuse. Contractor was not able to give reciept at all. He said office would mail one. This took as long for 1 as he quoted for 2. He milked the hours with 1.5 hours on cleanup and more on smoking. I paid for his meal time and everything else he did. This job is supposed to take 3 to 4 hours according to all other contractors and norms. I want my reciepts. Man was in my home with my young kids and I had no choice but to pay him without proper reciept. Handyman.com was called and lady rudely stated she would get back to me and that they didnt have to show reciept for material because it was their property and under their confidentiality agreement. I have been plainly cheated and I dont know what to do. I cant even get a reciept to move forward

Desired outcome: I want reciept to take this to small claims court or wv division of labor. This company should not be allowed to blatantly take advantage of people.

Handyman.com Handyman.com: A Total Waste of Time and Money - My Disappointing Experience

So, I had a real bad experience with Handyman.com. I took off two days from work and even gave up my Saturday just to wait for a "pro" that never showed up or even called me. Every time I called the rep, they said sorry for the inconvenience and offered me a $25 gift card, but I never got any of them. I was so frustrated that I ended up doing the project myself. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. It was a total waste of my time and money.

Handyman.com Disappointing Service from Handyman.com for Pool Table Assembly

I recently ordered an 8' pool table from Wayfair and decided to use Handyman.com to put it together for me. I paid a whopping $625.99 for their services. When the pool table arrived, Wayfair dropped it off in my garage. However, the night before Handyman.com was scheduled to come, I received an email stating that I would have to move the pool table down to the basement by myself. They refused to move it for us and would only assemble it in the garage if we didn't move it ourselves.

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with the service I received from Handyman.com. The price was way too high for such an easy job. Plus, the fact that they wouldn't even move the pool table for us was a major inconvenience. I understand that they may have liability concerns, but it still seems like they could have been more accommodating.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend Handyman.com to anyone looking for help with a simple task like assembling a pool table. There are plenty of other companies out there that offer better prices and more helpful service. Save your money and look elsewhere!

Handyman.com Terrible Communication and No Show: Our Frustrating Experience with Handyman

HING. We waited all day and no one showed up. We called and they said they had to reschedule again. This is ridiculous. Handyman.com Disappointing and Dishonest: My Experience with a Handyman from Handyman.com

I had a bit of a problem with the handyman I hired from Handyman.com. I gave him a list of things that needed to be fixed around my house, but he didn't do a lot of them. I was pretty disappointed, but what really got me was that he still expected me to pay the full amount we had agreed on. I had already given him a deposit, but I went ahead and paid the entire amount anyway.

He promised to repay the deposit, but then he disappeared and I never heard from him again. I have to say, I was pretty upset about the whole thing. He did do some work, but it wasn't what we had agreed on, and he was overall pretty dishonest. He was friendly enough, but there was something about him that was just a little creepy.

All in all, I would definitely not recommend this handyman to anyone. If you're looking for someone to fix things around your house, you're better off finding someone else. This guy is just not worth the trouble.

Handyman.com Handyman.com Review: Lack of Communication and Refusal to Do Job

I gotta say, I tried out Handyman.com and it was a bit of a letdown. I mean, I forked over my hard-earned cash upfront and then had no way to make sure the job was done right. And don't even get me started on the fact that there's no way to talk to a real person! I mean, come on, how am I supposed to feel good about the work being done if I can't even talk to someone about it?

So, the contractor finally showed up and I was all ready to get my service done. But then, they refused to do what I asked for! I mean, what kind of service is that? And to top it all off, I didn't even get a refund for the work that wasn't done. I had to go through my bank to dispute the charge, but they're saying that I did get the service even though I never signed anything to prove it. It's still a mess and I'm not sure how it's going to turn out.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend Handyman.com to anyone. It's just not worth the hassle and the lack of communication is a real problem. Save yourself the trouble and find a different service to use.

Handyman.com Beware of Richard Hilden and Handyman.com: A Nightmare Experience with a Con Man Contractor

I recently had a terrible experience with Handyman.com and their so-called contractor, Richard Hilden. Let me tell you, this guy is a real piece of work. He's a thief, a liar, and a con man, and I would never recommend him to anyone.

First of all, Hilden is not even a real contractor. He doesn't have the proper licenses or certifications to do the work he claims to be able to do. And when I hired him to fix my floors, it turned into a complete nightmare. The work he did was shoddy and fell apart within months. And to make matters worse, he charged me over $8,888 for the job.

When I realized that Hilden wasn't going to follow through on his promises, I had to hire another contractor to finish the work. And you know what? The new guy finished the job in just a few hours. It was like night and day compared to the mess that Hilden left behind.

But the story doesn't end there. Even though I paid Hilden all that money, the floors he did in my bedroom and kitchen are already in need of fixing. And guess what? Hilden has disappeared with my funds. He's nowhere to be found, and I'm left with unfinished and poorly done work.

If you're thinking about hiring Richard Hilden or using Handyman.com, I would strongly advise against it. This guy is a real con man, and he will leave you lost in lies and shoddy unfinished work. Don't make the same mistake I did. Stay far away from Hilden and Handyman.com.

Handyman.com Unprofessional and a Rip-Off: My Terrible Experience with Handyman.com

I'm telling you, don't even bother with Handyman.com. I had a terrible experience with them. I was supposed to have an installer come to my house to fix some things, but they canceled and rescheduled my appointment three times! Can you believe that? I was so fed up with their unprofessionalism that I decided to cancel altogether. But when I asked for my $35.00 deposit back, they refused! They said that's not how it works. What a rip-off!

I can't even speak to the quality of their work because the installer never even made it to my house. But based on their customer service, I wouldn't trust them to do a good job anyway. They are totally unprofessional and I regret ever contacting them. Save yourself the hassle and find a different company to work with.

Handyman.com Disappointing Service from Handyman.com: Multiple Cancellations and Inconvenience

So, we had a bit of a situation with Handyman.com. We needed our carpet restretched and they were supposed to come at 1:00 p.m. on October 31, 2020. But, unfortunately, they cancelled on the same day at 9:07 a.m. in the morning. They rescheduled for the next day at 3:30 p.m. on November 1, 2020. However, at 1:30 p.m. on November 1, 2020, they cancelled that appointment as well and wanted to come 4 days later.

We were really frustrated because we had already moved all of our furniture out and were even without a television. We had even hired other people to move our furniture back in and had to reschedule that as well. It was a big inconvenience for us.

To make matters worse, we couldn't even reach them by phone. We had to resort to emailing them, which was a bit of a hassle.

In the end, we decided to rent our own equipment and do the job ourselves. It was a bit of a challenge, but we managed to get it done. We were disappointed with the service we received from Handyman.com and wouldn't recommend them to others.

Handyman.com Exorbitant Prices for Simple Installation: My Disappointing Experience with Handyman.com

I recently reached out to Handyman.com for assistance with installing two outside doors. I had all the necessary supplies and only required someone to handle the installation. I estimated that the job would take no more than two hours, and an experienced handyman could complete it in just one hour.

After contacting the representative, I explained what I needed. However, I was shocked when she informed me that they charged $500 per door. This price was more than the cost of the door itself! I asked her why the fee was so high, and she simply replied that it was their standard rate. I couldn't believe it! If they knew their fees were too high, why would they charge such an exorbitant price? Who would be willing to pay that much for a simple installation?

In my opinion, Handyman.com has no sense of reality or even care about people turning them down. After all, they are called "handyman" for a reason. Most people have several projects that they need assistance with, and if they charged a fair price for good work, they would have plenty of work to keep them busy.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Handyman.com. I would not recommend them to anyone looking for affordable and reliable handyman services.
